< Mateo 19 >

1 Eta guertha cedin, Iesus propos hauc acabaturic parti baitzedin Galileatic, eta ethor baitzedin Iudeaco bazterretara, Iordanaren berce aldeaz.
Now it happened, when Jesus had finished these words, that He departed from Galilee and went to the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 Eta iarreiqui cequión gendetze handi, eta senda citzan han.
And large crowds followed Him and there He healed them.
3 Orduan ethor citecen harengana Phariseuac tentatzen çutela, eta ciotsatela, Vtzi ahal diro guiçonac bere emaztea eceinere causagatic?
The Pharisees also came to Him to test Him, saying to Him, “Is it permissible for a man to divorce his wife for just any cause?”
4 Baina harc ihardesten çuela erran ciecén, Eztuçue iracurri ecen Creaçaleac hatsetic eguin cituela arra eta emea?
So in answer He said to them: “Have you never read that the Creator at the beginning made them a male and a female?
5 Eta erran çuela, Halacotz vtziren ditu guiçonac aita eta ama, eta iunctaturen çayó bere emazteari, eta içanen dirade biac haraguibat.
And He said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall be turned into one flesh.’
6 Bada guehiagoric eztirade biga, baina haraguibat. Beraz Iaincoac iunctatu duena, guiçonac ezteçala separa.
So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God joined together let not man separate!”
7 Diotsate, Cergatic beraz Moysesec manatu vkan du separationeco letraren emaitera, eta haren vtzitera?
They say to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce and to dismiss her?”
8 Dioste, Moysesec çuen bihotzeco gogortassunagatic permettitu drauçue çuen emaztén vtzitera: baina hatsetic etzén hala.
He says to them: “Because of your hard-heartedness Moses permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 Eta erraiten drauçuet ecen norc-ere vtziren baitu bere emaztea, paillardiçagatic baicen, eta berce batequin ezconduren baita, adulterio iauquiten duela: eta vtzi denarequin ezconduren datenac adulterio iauquiten duqueela.
And I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for fornication, and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries a divorcee commits adultery.”
10 Diotsate bere discipuluéc, Baldin horlaco bada guiçonaren emaztearequilaco beharquia, eztuc on ezconcea.
His disciples say to Him, “If that's the situation of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry!”
11 Baina harc erran ciecén, Eztute guciéc ardiesten hitz haur, baina eman içan çayenéc.
So He said to them: “Not all can assimilate this word, but those to whom it has been given.
12 Ecen badirade chikiratuac amaren sabeletic hala iayo içan diradenac: eta badirade chikiratuac, guiçonéz chilkiratu içan diradenac: eta badirade chikiratuac ceruétaco resumagatic bere buruäc chikiratu vkan dituztenac. Har ahal deçanac, har beça.
For there are eunuchs who were born that way, from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were castrated by men; and there are eunuchs who castrated themselves for the sake of the kingdom of the heavens. He who is able to assimilate it, let him assimilate.”
13 Orduan haourtchoac presentatu içan çaizcan escuac gainean eçar lietzençat eta othoitz leguiançat: eta discipuluec mehatcha citzaten.
Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them.
14 Baina Iesusec dioste, Vtzitzaçue haourtchoac, eta enegana ethortetic eztitzaçuela empatcha: ecen hunelacoén da ceruètaco resumá.
So Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of the heavens.”
15 Eta escuac gainean eçarri cerauztenean, parti cedin handic.
And after laying hands on them He moved on from there.
16 Eta huná, cembeitec hurbilduric erran cieçón, Magistru oná, cer vngui eguinen dut vicitzé eternala dudançat? (aiōnios g166)
And then, a certain one came and said to Him, “Good teacher, what good thing must I do so that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
17 Eta harc erran cieçón, Cergatic deitzen nauc on? eztuc nehor onic bat baicen, eta hura, Iaincoa: baldin vicitzean sarthu nahi bahaiz, beguiraitzac manamenduac.
But He said to him: “Why do you call me good? No one is good except One, God. But if you want to enter into the life, keep the commandments.”
18 Diotsó, Cein? Eta Iesusec erran ceçan Eztuc hilen, Eztuc adulteraturen, Eztuc ebatsiren, Eztuc testimoniage falsuric erranen.
He says to Him, “Which ones?” So Jesus said: “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not give false witness,’
19 Ohoraitzac aita eta ama. Eta, Onhetsiren duc eure hurcoa eure buruä beçala.
‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
20 Diotsó guiçon gazteorrec, Horiac guciac beguiratu citiat neure gaztetassunetic: cer oraino falta çait?
The young man says to Him: “I have kept all these things since my youth. What do I still lack?”
21 Diotsó Iesusec, Baldin perfect içan nahi bahaiz, oha, sal eçac duana, eta eman iecéc paubrey: eta vkanen duc thesaurbat ceruän: eta athor, arreit niri.
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow me.”
22 Eta ençun çuenean guiçon gazteorrec hitz hori, ioan cedin tristeric: ecen on handiac cituen.
So upon hearing that word the young man went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
23 Orduan Iesusec erran ciecén bere discipuluey, Eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, ecen abratsa nequez sarthuren dela ceruètaco resumán.
Then Jesus said to His disciples: “Assuredly I say to you that only with difficulty will a rich person enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
24 Eta berriz diotsuet, errachago dela cablebat orratzaren chulhotic iragan dadin, ecen ez abratsa Iaincoaren resumán sar dadin.
And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God.”
25 Gauça hauc ençunic haren discipuluac spanta citecen haguitz, cioitela, Nor da beraz salua ahal daitenic?
Upon hearing it His disciples were really flabbergasted saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 Eta Iesusec hetarat behaturic, erran ciecén, Guiçonac baithan hori impossible da: baina Iaincoa baithan gauça guciac possible dirade.
So looking at them Jesus said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
27 Orduan ihardesten çuela Pierrisec erran cieçón, Huná, guc vtzi citiagu gauça guciac, eta iarreiqui gaitzaizquic hiri: cer içanen da beraz gure?
Then Peter answered and said to Him: “See, we have left all and followed you. So what will we have?”
28 Eta Iesusec erran ciecén, Eguiaz diotsuet, ecen çuec niri iarreiqui çaizquidatenóc, regenerationean iarriren denean guiçonaren Semea bere maiestatearen thronoan, iarriren çaretela çuec-ere hamabi thronoén gainean, iugeatzen dituçuela Israeleco hamabi leinnuac.
So Jesus said to them: “Assuredly I say to you that in the Regeneration, when the Son of the Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Eta norc-ere vtzi baituque etcheric, edo anayeric, edo arrebaric, edo aita, edo ama, edo emaztea, edo haourric, edo landaric ene icenaren causaz, ehunetan hambat recebituren duela, eta vicitze eternala heretaturen. (aiōnios g166)
And, everyone who left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my name's sake will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
30 Baina anhitz lehen diradenac, içanen dirade azquen: eta azquenac, lehen.
But many ‘first’ will be last, and ‘last’ first.
