and there was following Him a great multitude, because they were seeing His signs that He was doing on the ailing;

6 (Baina haur erraiten çuen haren enseyatzeagatic, ecen berac baçaquian, cer eguiteco çuen)
And this He said, trying him, for He Himself had known what He was about to do.
7 Ihardets cieçón Philippec, Ber-ehun dineroren oguiaz ezliqueye asco, den gutiena batbederac har leçan.
Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of loaves are not sufficient to them, that each of them may receive some little”;

“There is one little boy here who has five barley loaves and two fishes, but these—what are they to so many?”
10 Eta erran ceçan Iesusec, Iar eraci eçaçue gendea. Eta cen belhar handi leku hartan. Iar citecen bada borz milla guiçonen contuaren inguruä.
And Jesus said, “Make the men to sit down”; and there was much grass in the place, the men then sat down, in number, as it were, five thousand,

and Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks He distributed [them] to the disciples, and the disciples to those reclining, in like manner, also of the little fishes as much as they wished.
12 Eta ressasiatu içan ciradenean erran ciecén bere discipuluey, Bil itzaçue soberatu diraden çathiac, deus gal eztadin.
And when they were filled, He says to His disciples, “Gather together the broken pieces that are left over, that nothing may be lost”;
13 Bil citzaten bada, eta bethe citzaten hamabi sasqui çathiz, borz ogui garagarrezcoetaric, ian çuteney soberaturic.
they gathered together, therefore, and filled twelve hand-baskets with broken pieces, from the five barley loaves that were over to those having eaten.
14 Gende hec bada ikussi çutenean Iesusec eguin çuen miraculua, erraiten çutén, Haur da eguiazqui mundura ethorteco cen Propheta hura.
The men, then, having seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is coming into the world”;
15 Iesusec bada eçaguturic ecen haren harrapatzera ethorteco ciradela hura regue eguin leçatençát, retira cedin berriz mendira ber-bera.
Jesus, therefore, having known that they are about to come, and to seize Him by force that they may make Him king, retired again to the mountain Himself alone.
16 Eta arratsa ethor cedinean, iauts citecen haren discipuluac itsassora.
And when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea,
17 Eta sarthuric vncira, ioaiten ciraden itsassoaz berce aldera Capernaum alderát: eta ia ilhuna cen, eta etzén Iesus hetara ethorri.
and having entered into the boat, they were going over the sea to Capernaum, and darkness had already come, and Jesus had not come to them,

having pushed onward, therefore, about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they behold Jesus walking on the sea, and coming near to the boat, and they were afraid;
20 Eta harc erran ciecén, Ni naiz, etzaretela beldur.
and He says to them, “I AM; do not be afraid”;
21 Nahi vkan çutén bada hura vncira recebitu: eta bertan vncia arriba cedin ioaiten ciraden lekura.
they were willing then to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat came to the land to which they were going.

On the next day, the multitude that was standing on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other little boat there except one—that into which His disciples entered—and that Jesus did not go in with His disciples into the little boat, but His disciples went away alone
23 Eta Tiberiadetic berce vncitchoric ethorri cela leku haren aldera non oguia ian vkan baitzutén, gratiac rendaturic Iaunac.
(and other little boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate the bread, the LORD having given thanks),
24 Ikus ceçanean bada gendetzeac ecen Iesus etzela han, ez haren discipuluac, sar citecen hec-ere vncietara, eta ethor citecen Capernaumera, Iesus bilhatzen çutela.
when therefore the multitude saw that Jesus is not there, nor His disciples, they also entered into the boats themselves, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus;
25 Eta hura eridenic itsassoaren berce aldean, erran cieçoten, Magistruá, noiz huna ethorri aiz?
and having found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when have You come here?”
26 Ihardets ciecén Iesusec, eta erran ceçan, Eguiaz eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, ene bilha çabiltzate, ez ceren miraculuac ikussi dituçuen, baina ceren ian baituçue oguietaric, eta ressasiatu içan baitzarete.
Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were satisfied;
27 Trabailla çaitezte ez vianda galtzen denagatic, baina vicitze eternalecotzat irauten duenagatic, cein guiçonaren Semeac emanen baitrauçue: ecen Seme haur Iainco Aitac ciguilatu vkan du. (aiōnios g166)
do not work for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to continuous life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for the Father sealed Him—[even] God.” (aiōnios g166)
28 Erran cieçoten bada, Cer eguinen dugu eguin ditzagunçat Iaincoaren obrác?
Therefore they said to Him, “What may we do that we may work the works of God?”
29 Ihardets ceçan Iesusec, eta erran ciecén, Haur da Iaincoaren obrá, sinhets deçaçuen harc igorri duena baithan.
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you may believe in Him whom He sent.”
30 Orduan erran cieçoten, Cer signo bada hic eguiten duc, dacussagunçát eta hi sinhets eçagun? cer obra eguiten duc?
Therefore they said to Him, “What sign, then, do You do, that we may see and may believe You? What do You work?
31 Gure aitéc ian vkan dié manná desertuan: scribatua den beçala, Cerutico oguia eman draue iatera.
Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, according as it is having been written: He gave them bread out of Heaven to eat.”
32 Erran ciecén bada Iesusec, Eguiaz eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, eztrauçue Moysesec eman cerutico oguia: baina ene Aitac emaiten drauçue cerutico ogui eguiazcoa.
Jesus, therefore, said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread out of Heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread out of Heaven;
33 Ecen Iaincoaren oguia da cerutic iautsi dena, eta munduari vicitze draucana.
for the bread of God is Him coming down out of Heaven, and giving life to the world.”
34 Erran cieçoten bada, Iauna, eman ieçaguc bethiere ogui hori.
Therefore they said to Him, “Lord, always give us this bread.”
35 Eta erran ciecén Iesusec, Ni naiz vicitzeco oguia: enegana ethorten dena, ezta gosseturen: eta ni baithan sinhesten duena, ezta egarrituren iagoitic.
And Jesus said to them, “I AM the bread of life; he who is coming to Me may not hunger, and he who is believing in Me may not thirst—at any time;
36 Baina erran drauçuet, ecen ikussi-ere banuçuela, eta eztuçue sinhesten.
but I said to you that you also have seen Me, and you do not believe;
37 Aitac emaiten drautan gucia, enegana ethorriren da, eta enegana ethorten dena, eztut campora iraitziren.
all that the Father gives to Me will come to Me; and him who is coming to Me, I will never cast outside,
38 Ecen cerutic iautsi içan naiz eguin deçadençát ez neure vorondatea, baina ni igorri naueuaren vorondatea.
because I have come down out of Heaven, not that I may do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
39 Eta haur da ni igorri nauenaren vorondatea, Aitarena, cerere eman baitraut, ezteçadan gal hartaric, baina resuscita deçadan hura azquen egunean.
And this is the will of the Father who sent Me, that all that He has given to Me, I may lose none of it, but may raise it up in the last day;
40 Halaber haur da ni igorri nauenaren vorondatea, Semea ikusten eta hura baithan sinhesten duen guciac, duen vicitze eternala, eta nic resuscitaturen dut hura azquen egunean. (aiōnios g166)
and this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who is beholding the Son, and is believing in Him, may have continuous life, and I will raise him up in the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
41 Murmuratzen çutén bada Iuduéc harçaz, ceren erran baitzuen, Ni naiz cerutic iautsi naicen oguia.
The Jews, therefore, were murmuring at Him, because He said, “I AM the bread that came down out of Heaven”;
42 Eta erraiten çutén, Ezta haur Iesus, Iosephen semea, ceinen aita eta ama guc eçagutzen baititugu? Nola dio bada hunec, Cerutic iautsi naiz?
and they said, “Is this not Jesus, the Son of Joseph, whose father and mother we have known? How then does this One say, I have come down out of Heaven?”
43 Ihardets ceçan bada Iesusec eta erran ciecén, Ezteçaçuela murmura çuen artean.
Jesus answered, therefore, and said to them, “Do not murmur with one another;
44 Nehor ecin dathor enegana, baldin ni igorri nauen Aitac tira ezpadeça: eta nic resuscitaturen dut hura azquen egunean.
no one is able to come to Me if the Father who sent Me may not draw him, and I will raise him up in the last day;
45 Scribatua da Prophetetan, Eta içanen dirade guciac Iaincoaz iracatsiac. Norc-ere beraz ençun baitu Aitaganic eta ikassi, hura ethorten da enegana.
it is having been written in the Prophets: And they will all be taught of God; everyone, therefore, who heard from the Father, and learned, comes to Me;
46 Ez Aita ikussi duenez nehorc, Iaincoaganic denac baicen: harc ikussi du Aita.
not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God, He has seen the Father.
47 Eguiaz eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, ni baithan sinhesten duen guciac badu vicitze eternala. (aiōnios g166)
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me has continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
48 Ni naiz vicitzeco oguia.
I AM the bread of life;

this is the bread that is coming down out of Heaven, that anyone may eat of it, and not die.
51 Ni naiz ogui vicia cerutic iautsi naicena: nehorc ian badeça ogui hunetaric, vicico da eternalqui, eta nic emanen dudan oguia, ene haraguia da, nic munduaren vicitzeagatic emanen dudana. (aiōn g165)
I AM the living bread that came down out of Heaven; if anyone may eat of this bread he will live—throughout the age; and the bread also that I will give is My flesh, that I will give for the life of the world.” (aiōn g165)
52 Baciharducaten bada Iuduéc elkarren artean, erraiten çutela, Nolatan hunec guri bere haraguia eman ahal dieçaquegu iatera?
The Jews, therefore, were striving with one another, saying, “How is this One able to give us [His] flesh to eat?”
53 Orduan erran ciecén Iesusec, Eguiaz eguiaz erraiten drauçuet, baldin ian ezpadeçaçue guiçonaren Semearen haraguia, eta edan ezpadeçaçue haren odola, eztuçue vicitzeric çuec baithan.
Jesus, therefore, said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, if you may not eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and may not drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves;
54 Iaten duenac ene haraguia, eta edaten ene odola, badu vicitze eternala: eta nic dut resuscitaturen hura azquen egunean. (aiōnios g166)
he who is eating My flesh, and is drinking My blood, has continuous life, and I will raise him up in the last day; (aiōnios g166)
55 Ecen ene haraguia eguiazqui da vianda, eta ene odola eguiazqui da edari.
for My flesh is truly food, and My blood is truly drink;
56 Ene haraguia iaten duena, eta ene odola edaten, nitan egoiten da, eta ni hartan.
he who is eating My flesh, and is drinking My blood, remains in Me, and I in him.
57 Nola ni igorri bainau Aita vici denac, eta ni vici bainaiz neure Aitaz: hala ni ianen nauena ere, vicico da hura-ere niçaz.
According as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, he also who is eating Me, even that one will live because of Me;
58 Haur da ogui cerutic iautsi içan dena: ez çuen aitéc manná ian duten beçala, eta hil içan dirade: ogui haur ianen duena vicico da eternalqui. (aiōn g165)
this is the bread that came down out of Heaven; not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he who is eating this bread will live—throughout the age.” (aiōn g165)
59 Gauça hauc erran citzan synagogán iracasten ari cela Capernaumen.

many, therefore, of His disciples having heard, said, “This word is hard; who is able to hear it?”
61 Çaquialaric bada Iesusec bere baithan ecen haren discipuluec huneçaz murmuratze çutela, erran ciecén, Hunec scandalizatzen çaituzte?
And Jesus having known in Himself that His disciples are murmuring about this, said to them, “Does this stumble you?
62 Cer date bada baldin ikus badeçaçue guiçonaren Semea igaiten lehen cen lekura?
If then you may behold the Son of Man going up where He was before?
63 Spiritua da viuificatzen duena, haraguiac eztu deus probetchatzen: nic erraiten drauzquiçuedan hitzac spiritu dirade eta vicitze.
It is the Spirit that is giving life; the flesh does not profit anything; the sayings that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life;
64 Baina badirade batzu çuetaric sinhesten eztutenic. Ecen baçaquian hatseandanic Iesusec cein ciraden sinhesten etzutenac, eta cein cen hura tradituren çuena.
but there are certain of you who do not believe”; for Jesus had known from the beginning who they are who are not believing, and who is he who will deliver Him up,
65 Eta erraiten çuen, Halacotz erran drauçuet ecen nehor ecin dathorrela enegana, baldin ene Aitaz eman ezpaçayo.
and He said, “Because of this I have said to you, No one is able to come to Me if it may not have been given him from My Father.”
66 Orduandanic haren discipuluetaric anhitz guibelerat citecen: eta guehiagoric etzabiltzan harequin.
From this [time] many of His disciples went away backward, and were no longer walking with Him,
67 Erran ciecén bada Iesusec hamabiey, Ala çuec-ere ioan nahi çarete?
Jesus, therefore, said to the Twelve, “Do you also wish to go away?”
68 Ihardets cieçón bada Simon Pierrisec, Iauna, norengana ioanen gara? vicitze eternalezco hitzac dituc hic: (aiōnios g166)
Simon Peter, therefore, answered Him, “Lord, to whom will we go? You have sayings of continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
69 Eta guc sinhetsi eta eçagutu diagu ecen, hi aicela Christ Iainco viciaren Semea.
and we have believed, and we have known, that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
70 Ihardets ciecén Iesusec, Etzaituztet nic hamabi elegitu, eta çuetaric bat deabru baita?
Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you—the Twelve? And of you—one is a devil.”
71 Eta haur erraiten çuen Iudas Iscariot Simonen semeaz: ecen haur cen hura traditu behar çuena, hamabietaric bat bacen-ere.
And He spoke of Judas, [son] of Simon Iscariot, for he was about to deliver Him up, being one of the Twelve.
