< Hebrearrei 11 >

1 Bada, fedea da nehor sperançatan den gaucén fundamenta, eta ikusten eztiraden gauçác eracusten dituena.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 Ecen harçaz aitzinecoec testimoniage vkan duté.
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Fedez aditzen dugu Iaincoaren hitzaz mundua eguin içan dela: gauça inuisiblén demonstratione eguin ledinçát. (aiōn g165)
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which appeared. (aiōn g165)
4 Abelec fedez Cainec baino sacrificio excellentagoa Iaincoari offrendatu vkan drauca: cein fedez testimoniage obtenitu vkan baitu iusto cela, ceren Iaincoac haren donoéz testificatzen baitzuen: eta oraino fede harçaz hil delaric minço da.
By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained testimony that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 Fedez Henoch eraman içan da, herioa ikus ezleçançát: eta ezta eriden içan, ceren eraman baitzuen Iaincoac: ecen eraman cedin baino lehen, testimoniage vkan ceçan Iaincoaren gogaraco içan cela:
By faith Enoch was translated, that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 Bada impossible da fede gabe haren gogaraco içatea: ecen Iaincoagana ethorten denac, behar da sinhets deçan ecen Iaincoa badela, eta hura bilhatzen dutenén recompensaçale dela.
But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 Fedez Noéc, diuinoqui auertitu içanic oraino ikusten etziraden gaucéz, beldurturic, appresta ceçan arká bere familiaren saluatzeco: cein arkaz condemna baitzeçan mundua: eta eguin cedin fedearen arauez den iustitiaren heredero.
By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 Fedez Abrahamec deithu cenean obedi ceçan Iaincoa, heretagetan hartu behar çuen lekura ioan ledinçát, eta parti cedin norat ioaiten cen etzaquialaric.
By faith Abraham, when he was called to remove into a place which he should afterwards receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out not knowing whither he was going.
9 Fedez egon cedin promettatu içan çayón lurrean bercerenean beçala, tabernacletan egoiten cela Isaac-equin eta Iacob-equin promes beraren herederoquidequin.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a foreign country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 Ecen ciuitate fundament-dunaren beguira cegoen ceinen eguilea eta fundaçalea baita Iaincoa.
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.
11 Fedez Sarac-ere haciaren concebitzeco indarra recebi ceçan, eta adinetic lekora erdi cedin, ceren estima baitzeçan hari promes eguin ceraucana fidel cela.
Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Eta halacotz batetaric (etare ia hilaganic) sorthu içan da gende handi ceruco içarrac beçala, eta itsas costaco conta ecin daiten sablea beçala.
Therefore there sprang even from one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea-shore innumerable.
13 Fedean hauc gucioc hil içan dirade promessac recebitu gabe: baina vrrundanic hec ikussiric eta sinhetsiric eta salutaturic, eta aithorturic ecen arrotz eta estrangér ciradela lurrean.
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 Ecen gauça hauc erraiten dituztenéc, claroqui eracusten dute ecen bere herriaren ondoan dabiltzala.
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 Eta segur, baldin harçaz orhoit içan balirade ceinetaric ilki içan baitziraden, itzultzeco dembora baçuten:
And truly, if they had been mindful of that [country] from whence they came, they might have had opportunity to return.
16 Baina orain hobeagobat desiratzen duté, erran nahi baita celestiala: hunegatic Iaincoari berari-ere etzayó laido hayén Iainco deitzera, ecen preparatu cerauen ciuitatebat.
But now they desire a better [country], that is, a heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.
17 Fedez offrenda ceçan Abrahamec Isaac, enseyatu içan cenean, eta seme bakoitza offrenda ceçan, promessac recebitu vkan cituenac:
By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only-begotten [son],
18 (Ceini erran içan baitzayón, Isaactan deithuren çaic hacia)
Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Estimaturic ecen Iaincoac hiletaric-ere resuscita ahal leçaquela: nondic are hura conformitatez recruba baitzeçan.
Accounting that God [was] able to raise [him] even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
20 Fedez, ethorteco ciraden gaucéz benedica citzan Isaac-ec Iacob eta Esau.
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
21 Fedez, Iacob-ec hiltzean Iosephen semetaric batbedera benedica ceçan: eta adora ceçan bere makila buru gainean bermaturic.
By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshiped, [leaning] upon the top of his staff.
22 Fedez, Iosephec hiltzean eguin ceçan mentione Israeleco haourrén ilkiteaz: eta bere heçurréz manamendu eman ceçan.
By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
23 Fedez, Moyses sorthu içan cenean, gorde içan cen bere ahaidéz hirur hilebethez, ceren haour ederra baitzacussaten, eta ezpaitziraden beldur Regueren ordenançaren.
By faith Moses when he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw [he was] a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
24 Fedez, Moysesec ia handituric refusa ceçan Pharaoren alabaren seme deithu içatera:
By faith Moses, when he had come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Hautatzenago çuela Iaincoaren populuarequin affligitu içatera, ecen ez dembora guti batetacotz bekatuzco atseguinén vkaitera:
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Abrastassun handiago estimaturic Christen iniuriá, ecen ez Egypten ciraden thesaurac, ecen recompensara beha cegoen.
Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he had respect to the recompense of the reward.
27 Fedez vtzi ceçan Egypte, Regueren hiraren beldurric gabe: ecen inuisible dena ikusten balu beçala, fermu eduqui ceçan.
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
28 Fedez eguin citzan Bazcoa eta odol issurtzea: lehen sorthuac deseguiten cituenac, hec hunqui ezlitzançát.
Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the first-born should touch them.
29 Fedez iragan ceçaten itsas gorria leyhorrez beçala: cein gauça enseyaturic, Egyptianoac hundatu içan baitziraden.
By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry [land]: which the Egyptians essaying to do were drowned.
30 Fedez Ierichoco murruac eror citecen, çazpi egunez inguratuac egonic.
By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encompassed seven days.
31 Fedez, Rahab paillardá etzedin gal incredulequin batean, espiác baquerequin ostatuz recebitu vkan cituenean.
By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, as she had received the spies with peace.
32 Eta cer erranen dut guehiago? ecen dembora faltaturen çait, contatu nahi badut Gedeonez, eta Barac-ez, eta Samsonez, eta Iephthez, eta Dauid-ez, eta Samuelez, eta Prophetez:
And what shall I say more? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and [of] Barak, and [of] Samson, and [of] Jephthah, [of] David also, and Samuel, and [of] the prophets:
33 Ceinéc fedez combatitu vkan baitituzte resumác, fedez eguin vkan duté iustitia obtenitu vkan dituzte promessac, boçatu lehoinén ahoac,
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Iraungui suaren indarra, itzuri içan çaizte ezpata ahoey, sendo eguin içan dirade erietaric, borthitz eguin içan dirade guerlán, estrangerén campoac ihessitan irion dituzté,
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
35 Emaztéc recebitu vkan dituzte resurrectionez bere hilac: eta batzu hedatu içan dirade, deliuratu içatera conturic eguiten etzutelaric resurrectione hobebat obteni leçatençát.
Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 Eta berceac phorogatu içan dirade escarnioz eta vkaldiz, bayeta guehiago estecaduraz eta presoindeguiz:
And others had trial of [cruel] mockings and scourgings, and, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 Lapidatu içan dirade, segatu içan dirade, tentatu içan dirade, ezpata herioz hil içan dirade: hara huna ebili içan dirade ardi eta ahunz larruz veztituric, abandonnaturic, affligituric, tormentaturic.
They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheep-skins, and goat-skins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 Eta ezpaitzén mundua hayén digne: desertuetan errebelatuac çabiltzala eta mendietan eta lecetan eta lur çulhoetan.
(Of whom the world was not worthy: ) they wandered in deserts, and [in] mountains, and [in] dens and caves of the earth.
39 Eta hauc guciéc fedez testimoniage obtenituric, eztuté recebitu vkan promessa:
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 Iaincoac cerbait hoberic guretaco probedituric, gu gabe perfectionetara ethor ezlitecençát.
God having provided some better [thing] for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
