< Hebrearrei 11 >

1 Bada, fedea da nehor sperançatan den gaucén fundamenta, eta ikusten eztiraden gauçác eracusten dituena.
Now faith is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.
2 Ecen harçaz aitzinecoec testimoniage vkan duté.

By faith, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. (aiōn g165)
4 Abelec fedez Cainec baino sacrificio excellentagoa Iaincoari offrendatu vkan drauca: cein fedez testimoniage obtenitu vkan baitu iusto cela, ceren Iaincoac haren donoéz testificatzen baitzuen: eta oraino fede harçaz hil delaric minço da.

By faith, Enoch was taken away, so that he would not see death, "and he was not found, because God took him away." For before he was taken he was attested as having pleased God.
6 Bada impossible da fede gabe haren gogaraco içatea: ecen Iaincoagana ethorten denac, behar da sinhets deçan ecen Iaincoa badela, eta hura bilhatzen dutenén recompensaçale dela.
Now without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.
7 Fedez Noéc, diuinoqui auertitu içanic oraino ikusten etziraden gaucéz, beldurturic, appresta ceçan arká bere familiaren saluatzeco: cein arkaz condemna baitzeçan mundua: eta eguin cedin fedearen arauez den iustitiaren heredero.

12 Eta halacotz batetaric (etare ia hilaganic) sorthu içan da gende handi ceruco içarrac beçala, eta itsas costaco conta ecin daiten sablea beçala.
Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.
13 Fedean hauc gucioc hil içan dirade promessac recebitu gabe: baina vrrundanic hec ikussiric eta sinhetsiric eta salutaturic, eta aithorturic ecen arrotz eta estrangér ciradela lurrean.
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth.
14 Ecen gauça hauc erraiten dituztenéc, claroqui eracusten dute ecen bere herriaren ondoan dabiltzala.
For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.
15 Eta segur, baldin harçaz orhoit içan balirade ceinetaric ilki içan baitziraden, itzultzeco dembora baçuten:
If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.
16 Baina orain hobeagobat desiratzen duté, erran nahi baita celestiala: hunegatic Iaincoari berari-ere etzayó laido hayén Iainco deitzera, ecen preparatu cerauen ciuitatebat.
Instead, they were longing for a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
17 Fedez offrenda ceçan Abrahamec Isaac, enseyatu içan cenean, eta seme bakoitza offrenda ceçan, promessac recebitu vkan cituenac:

18 (Ceini erran içan baitzayón, Isaactan deithuren çaic hacia)

choosing rather to share ill treatment with God's people, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time;
26 Abrastassun handiago estimaturic Christen iniuriá, ecen ez Egypten ciraden thesaurac, ecen recompensara beha cegoen.

And what more should I say? For the time would fail me if I told of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets;
33 Ceinéc fedez combatitu vkan baitituzte resumác, fedez eguin vkan duté iustitia obtenitu vkan dituzte promessac, boçatu lehoinén ahoac,
who, through faith subdued kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Iraungui suaren indarra, itzuri içan çaizte ezpata ahoey, sendo eguin içan dirade erietaric, borthitz eguin içan dirade guerlán, estrangerén campoac ihessitan irion dituzté,
