< 2 Timoteori 2 >

1 Hi bada, ene semé, fortificadi Iesus Christ baithan den gratián:
You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Eta anhitz testimonioren artean eneganic ençun dituan gauçác, iracats ietzec gende fideley, cein bercen-ere iracasteco sufficient içanen baitirade.
The things which you have heard from me amongst many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
3 Hic bada trabaillu suffri eçac Iesus Christen gendarmés on anço.
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4 Eztuc nehor guerlán empatchatzen vicitzeco eguitecoéz, guerla eguiteco hautatu duenaren gogaraco dençát.
No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
5 Halaber baldin nehorc combatic eguiten badu, eztuc coroatzen baldin bidezqui combatitu ezpada.
Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
6 Laborariac trabaillatu behar dic fructuric recebi deçan baino lehen.
The farmer who labours must be the first to get a share of the crops.
7 Consideraitzac erraiten ditudan gauçác: Iaunac bada eman dieçála adimendu gauça gucietan.
Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
8 Aicén orhoit Iesus Christ resuscitatu içan dela hiletaric, Dauid-en hacitic celaric, ene Euangelioaren araura:
Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,
9 Ceinetan, gaizquiguile anço, affligitzen bainaiz estecailluetarano: baina Iaunaren hitza eztuc estecatua.
in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.
10 Halacotz gauça guciac suffritzen citiát elegituacgatic, hec-ere obteni deçatençát Iesus Christ Iaunean den saluamendua, gloria eternalarequin. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
11 Hitz segura duc haur: Ecen baldin harequin hil içan bagara, harequin vicico-ere garela.
This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
12 Baldin suffritzen badugu, regnaturen-ere harequin diagu: baldin vkatzen badugu, harc-ere gu vkaturen guiaitic:
If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13 Baldin desleyal bagara, hura ordea fidel diagoc, vka bere buruä ecin ceçaquec.
If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”
14 Arramberritzac gauça hauc, protestatzen dualaric Iaunaren aitzinean ezteçan nehorc hitzez iharduqui, baita probetchuric batre ekarten eztuen gauça, aitzitic ençuleac erautzen dituena.
Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord that they don’t argue about words to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
15 Diligentadi eure buruären Iaincoari approbatu presentatzera, confusione gabeco obrero, artezqui eguiaren hitza ebaquiten duála.
Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
16 Oihu vanoac eta profanoac reprimitzac: ceren impietate handiagotara auançaturen baitirade.
But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,
17 Eta hayén hitza gangrená beçala alhaco duc, ceinetaric baitirade Hymeneo eta Phileto:
and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:
18 Cein eguiatic erauci içan baitirade, erraiten dutela ia resurrectionea eguin içan dela, eta erautzen dié edocein batzuén fedea.
men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
19 Alabaina Iaincoaren fundamenta fermu diagoc, cigulu haur duelaric, Eçagutzen ditu Iaunac cein diraden harenac: eta, Retira bedi iniustitiataric Christen icena inuocatzen duen gucia.
However, God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
20 Eta etche handi batetan eztuc solament vrrhezco eta cilharrezco vnciric, baina çurezcoric eta lurrezcoric-ere: eta batzu ohoretacotz, eta berceac desohoretacotz.
Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honour and some for dishonour.
21 Bada nehorc baldin bere buruä hautaric chahu badeça, içanen duc vnci ohoretacotz sanctificatua, eta Iaunaren vsegetacotz carazcoa, eta Iaunaren obra on orotara appaindua.
If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.
22 Gaztetassunaren guthiciey-ere ihes eguiéc, eta iarreiqui aquió iustitiari, fedeari, charitateari, baqueari bihotz purez Iauna inuocatzen dutenequin.
Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 Eta questione erhoac, eta instructione gabetacoac iraizquic, daquialaric ecen hec gudu engendratzen dutela.
But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
24 Bada Iaunaren cerbitzariac eztic reuoltari içan behar, baina eme gucietara, iracasteco carazco, patientqui gaichtoac supportatzen dituelaric:
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
25 Emetassunequin iracasten dituelaric opinione contrariotaco diradenac: eya noizpait Iaincoac vrriquimendu eman dieçaqueenez eguiaren eçagutzeco,
in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
26 Eta emenda ditecen, haren vorondatearen eguiteco, itzuriric deabruaren laçotic, ceinez hatzamanac baitaude.
and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
