1 Beraz, ene maiteác, promessac ditugunaz gueroz, haraguiaren eta spirituaren satsutassun orotaric chahu ditzagun gure buruäc: acabatzen dugularic sanctificationea, Iaincoaren beldurrequin.
Therfor, most dereworthe britheren, we that han these biheestis, clense we vs fro al filthe of the fleische and of the spirit, doynge holynesse in the drede of God.
2 Recebi gaitzaçue gu: nehor eztugu iniuriatu, nehor eztugu corrumpitu, nehor eztugu pillatu.
Take ye vs; we han hirt no man, we han apeirid no man, we han bigilid no man.
3 Eznaiz çuen condemnationetan minço: ecen lehen erran dut gure bihotzetan çaretela, elkarrequin hiltzeco eta elkarrequin vicitzeco.
Y seie not to youre condempnyng; for Y seide bifor, that ye ben in youre hertis, to die togidere and to lyue togidere.
4 Minçatzeco libertate handia dut çuec baithan: çueçaz gloriatzeco materia handia dut: consolationez complitu naiz, bozcarioz hambat eta guehiago bethe naiz, gure tribulatione gucian.
Myche trist is to me anentis you, myche gloriyng is to me for you. Y am fillid with coumfort, Y am plenteuouse in ioie in al oure tribulacioun.
5 Ecen Macedoniara ethorri eta, eztu vkan gure haraguiac paussuric batre, baina gucietan affligitu içan gara: campotic bataillác, barnetic icidurác.
For whanne we weren comun to Macedonye, oure fleisch hadde no reste, but we suffriden al tribulacioun; with outforth fiytingis, and dredis with ynne.
6 Baina abatituac consolatzen dituen Iaincoac consolatu vkan gaitu Titeren ethorteaz.
But God that coumfortith meke men, coumfortide vs in the comyng of Tite.
7 Eta ez solament haren ethorteaz, baina hura çueçaz consolatu içan den consolationeaz-ere, contatzen ceraucunean çuen desir handia, çuen nigarra, çuen eneganaco affectione handia, hala non alegueratuago içan bainaiz.
And not oneli in the comyng of him, but also in the coumfort bi which he was coumfortid in you, tellinge to vs youre desire, youre weping, youre loue for me, so that Y ioiede more.
8 Ecen baldin tristetu baçaituztet-ere epistolaz, eztut vrriqui, vrriquitu içan baçaitadan-ere, ecen badacussat epistola harc, demboratacotz badere, tristetu vkan çaituztela.
For thouy Y made you sorie in a pistle, it rewith me not; thouy it rewide, seynge that thouy thilke pistle made you sori at an our, now Y haue ioie;
9 Orain aleguera naiz, ez ceren tristetu içan çareten, baina ceren tristetu içan çareten penitentiatara: ecen tristetu içan çarete Iaincoaren araura, hala non deusetan ezpaitzaiçue calteric eguin içan gure aldetic.
not for ye weren maad soreuful, but for ye weren maad soreuful to penaunce. For whi ye ben maad sori aftir God, that in no thing ye suffre peirement of vs.
10 Ecen Iaincoaren arauezco tristitiác, penitentia obratzen du, vrriquimendu gaberico saluamendutara: baina munduco tristitiác herioa obratzen du.
For the sorewe that is aftir God, worchith penaunce in to stidfast heelthe; but sorewe of the world worchith deth.
11 Ecen horrá, Iaincoaren arauez tristetu içate horrec berac, cein artha handia çuetan obratu vkan du: aitzitic cer satisfactionea, aitzitic indignationea, aitzitic beldurra, aitzitic desir handia, aitzitic affectione handia, aitzitic mendequioa? gauça gucietan eracutsi içan çarete nola chahu çareten eguiteco hunetan.
For lo! this same thing, that ye ben soreuful aftir God, hou myche bisynesse it worchith in you; but defendyng, but indignacioun, but drede, but desire, but loue, but veniaunce. In alle thingis ye han youun you silf to be vndefoulid in the cause.
12 Bada baldin scribatu badrauçuet-ere, eztrauçuet scribatu iniuria eguin vkan duenaren causaz, ezeta iniuriatu içan denaren causaz, baina çuec baithan manifesta ledinçát guc çueçaz dugun arthá Iaincoaren aitzinean.
Therfor thouy Y wroot to you, Y wroot not for hym that dide the iniurie, nether for hym that suffride, but to schewe oure bisinesse, which we han for you bifor God.
13 Causa hunegatic consolatu içan gara çuen consolatu içanaz: baina haguitzez alegueratuago içan gara Titeren alegrançáz, ceren recreatu içan baita haren spiritua çueçaz gucióz.
Therfor we ben coumfortid, but in youre coumfort more plenteuousli we ioyeden more on the ioie of Tite, for his spirit is fulfillid of alle you.
14 Eta baldin cerbaitetan çueçaz hura baithan gloriatu içan banaiz, eztut ahalqueric recebitu: baina nola gauça guciac eguiaz erran baitrauzquiçuegu, hala gure gloriatzea-ere, ceinez vsatu vkan baitut Tite baithara, eguiá eriden içan da.
And if Y gloriede ony thing anentis hym of you, Y am not confoundid; but as we han spoke to you alle thingis, so also oure glorie that was at Tite, is maad treuthe.
15 Eta haren affectionea handiago da çuetara, orhoitzen denean çuen gucion obedientiáz, eta nola hura recebitu vkan duçuen beldurrequin eta ikararequin
And the inwardnesse of hym be more plenteuousli in you, which hath in mynde the obedience of you alle, hou with drede and trembling ye resseyueden hym.
16 Aleguera naiz bada ceren guça gucietan çueçaz assegura ahal bainaite.
Y haue ioye, that in alle thingis Y triste in you.
