< 1 Timoteori 6 >

1 Vztarriren azpian diraden cerbitzari guciéc, bere nabussiac ohore ororen digne estima bitzate: Iaincoaren icena eta doctriná blasphema eztitecençát.
All who are in the position of slaves should regard their masters as deserving of the greatest respect, so that the Name of God, and our Teaching, may not be maligned.
2 Eta nabussi fidelac dituztenéc, eztitzatela menosprecia ceren anaye diraden: baina aitzitic cerbitza bitzate, ceren fidelac eta onhetsiac diraden, ontassunean participant diradelaric. Gauça hauc iracats itzac eta exhorta.
Those who have Christian masters should not think less of them because they are their Brothers, but on the contrary they should serve them all the better, because those who are to benefit by their good work are dear to them as their fellow Christians.
3 Baldin nehorc berce doctrinaric iracasten badu, eta consentitzen ezpadu Iesus Christ gure Iaunaren hitz sanoetan, eta pietatearen arauèzco doctrinán,
Any one who teaches otherwise, and refuses his assent to sound instruction — the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ — and to the teaching of religion,
4 Hura hantua duc, deus eztaquialaric, baina erhotzen delaric questionén eta hitzezco contentionén ondoan, hetaric sortzen dituc inuidiá, gudua, iniuriác, suspicione gaichtoac,
is puffed up with conceit, not really knowing anything, but having a morbid craving for discussions and arguments. Such things only give rise to envy, quarrelling, recriminations, base suspicions,
5 Guiçon adimenduz corrumpituén eta eguiatic priuatu diradenén disputatione vanoac, estimatzen dutelaric pietatea irabazte dela: retiradi halacoetaric.
and incessant wrangling on the part of these corrupt-minded people who have lost all hold on the Truth, and who think of religion only as a source of gain.
6 Segur, irabazte handia duc pietatea contentamendurequin.
And a great source of gain religion is, when it brings contentment with it!
7 Ecen deus eztiagu ekarri mundura: segura duc eraman-ere deus ecin deçaquegula.
For we brought nothing into the world, because we cannot even carry anything out of it.
8 Baina vitançá dugularic eta cerçaz estal ahal gaitecen, heçaz content içanen gaituc.
So, with food and shelter, we will be content.
9 Ecen abrastu nahi diradenac, erorten dituc tentationetara eta laçora, eta anhitz desir erhotara eta caltetacotara, ceinéc hundatzen baitituzte guiçonac destructionetara eta perditionetara.
Those who want to be rich fall into the snares of temptation, and become the prey of many foolish and harmful ambitions, which plunge people into Destruction and Ruin.
10 Ecen gaitz gucién erroa auaritiá duc, cein desiratzen dutelaric batzu erauci içan baitirade fedetic, eta bere buruäc anhitz doloretan nahaspilatu vkan baitituzté.
Love of money is a source of all kinds of evil; and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the Faith, and have been pierced to the heart by many a regret.
11 Baina hic, Iaincoaren guiçoná, gauça hæy ihes eguiéc, eta iarreiqui aquié iustitiari, pietateari, fedeari, charitateari, patientiari, emetassunari.
But do you, Servant of God, avoid all this. Aim at righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
12 Fedearen combat ona combati eçac, lot aquio vicitze eternalari, ceinetera deithu-ere baitaiz, eta confessione ona anhitz testimonioren aitzinean eguin vkan duc. (aiōnios g166)
Run the great race of the Faith, and win the Immortal Life. It was for this that you received the Call, and, in the presence of many witnesses, made the great profession of Faith. (aiōnios g166)
13 Denuntiatzen drauat gauça guciac viuificatzen dituen Iaincoaren, eta Iesus Christen aitzinean, ceinec testificatu vkan baitu Pontio Pilateren azpian confessione ona:
I urge you, as in the sight of God, the source of all life, and of Christ Jesus who before Pontius Pilate made the great profession of Faith —
14 Manamendu haur beguira deçán macula eta reprotchu gabe, Iesus Christ gure Iaunaren aduenimendurano:
I urge you to keep his Command free from stain or reproach, until the Appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Cein eracutsiren baitu bere demborán Prince benedicatuac eta bakoitzac, reguén Regueac eta iaunén Iaunac:
This will be brought about in his own time by the one ever-blessed Potentate, the King of all kings and Lord of all lords,
16 Ceinec berac baitu immortalitate, nehor hurbil ecin daiten arguian habitatzen delaric, cein ezpaitu guiçonec batec-ere ikussi, ez ecin ikus baiteçaque: ceini ohore eta indar seculacotz. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
who alone is possessed of immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or ever can see — to whom be ascribed honour and power for ever. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Mundu hunetan abrats diradeney denuntia iecéc, eztiraden arrogant, eta ezteçaten bere sperançá eçar fermutate gabeco abrastassunetan, baina Iainco vician, ceinec emaiten baitrauzquigu abundosqui gauça guciac, vsatzeco: (aiōn g165)
Urge upon those who are wealthy in this life not to pride themselves, or fix their hopes, on so uncertain a thing as wealth, but on God, who gives us a wealth of enjoyment on every side. (aiōn g165)
18 Vngui eguin deçaten, obra onez abrats diraden, emaile on eta compuntquide onetaco diraden.
Urge upon them to show kindness, to exhibit a wealth of good actions, to be open-handed and generous,
19 Thesaurizatzen dutelaric beretaco fundament on-bat ethorquiçunera, ardiets deçatençat vicitze eternala.
storing up for themselves what in the future will prove to be a good foundation, that they may gain the only true Life.
20 O Timotheo, deposita beguireçac, ihes eguiten drauealaric oihu vanoéy eta profanoey, eta falsuqui hala deitzen den scientiaco contradictioney:
Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the profane prattle and contradictions of what some miscall ‘theology,’
21 Cein scientiaz professione eguiten çutelaric batzu fedetic erauci içan baitirade. Gratia dela hirequin. Amen.
for there are those who, while asserting their proficiency in it, have yet, as regards the Faith, gone altogether astray. God bless you all.
