< 1 Timoteori 5 >

1 Guiçon ancianoa ezteçala dorpequi reprehendi, baina ezhorta eçac aita beçala: gazteac, anayeac beçala:
Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;
2 Emazte çaharrac, amác beçala: gazteac, arrebác beçala castitate gucirequin.
the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.
3 Emazte alhargunac ohoraitzac, eguiazqui alhargun diradenac.
Honor widows who are widows indeed.
4 Baina baldin cembeit emazte alhargunec haourric, edo ilobassoric badu, ikas beçate lehenic berén etche proprira pietateren eracusten, eta burhassoetara ordainaren rendatzen: ecen haour duc on eta placent Iaincoaren aitzinean.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
5 Bada eguiazqui alhargun denac eta bera azquendu içan denac sperança dic Iaincoa baithan, eta perseueratzen dic othoitzetan eta orationetan gau eta egun.
Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
6 Baina deliciosqui vici dena, viciric hila duc.
But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.
7 Gauça hauc bada denuntiaitzac, irreprehensible diradençát.
Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.
8 Eta baldin edoceinec beréz eta principalqui etchecoéz artharic ezpadu, fedeaz vkatu dic, eta duc infidela baino gaichtoago.
But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 Emazte alharguna hauta bedi ez hiruroguey vrthe baino gutiagotacoa, senhar baten emazte içana:
Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,
10 Obra onetan testimoniage duena: eya haourrac haci dituenez, eya estrangerac alogeatu dituenez, eya sainduén oinac ikuci dituenez, eya affligituac aiutatu dituenez, eya obra on orori ardura iarreiqui içan çayonez.
being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
11 Baina alhargun gazteagoac refusaitzac: ecen bridá largatu dutenean Christen contra, ezcondu nahi dituc:
But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,
12 Bere condemnationea dutelaric, ceren bere lehen fedea iraitzi vkan baituté.
having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.
13 Eta guehiago, alfer egoile-ere diradelaric ikasten dié etchez etche ebilten: eta eztituc solament alfer egoile, baina edasle-ere, eta curioso, behar eztiraden gaucéz dadassatelaric.
Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.
14 Nahi diat bada gazteac ezcon ditecen, haour daguiten, etchea goberna deçaten, occasioneric batre etsayari eztemoten gaizqui erraiteco.
I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.
15 Ecen ia baztu itzuli içan dituc Satanen ondoan.
For already some have turned away after Satan.
16 Baldin edocein fidelec edo cembeit fidelsac baditu emazte alhargunac, aiuta bitza hec, eta eztadin carga Eliçá, eguiazqui alhargun diradenén asco dençát.
If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.
17 Vngui presiditzen duten Ancianoac ohore doblaren digne estima bitez: principalqui hitzean eta doctrinán trabaillatzen diradenac.
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
18 Ecen Scripturác erraiten dic, Idi bihitzen ari denari eztraucac ahoa lothuren. Eta, Languilea bere sariaren digne da.
For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
19 Ancianoaren contra accusationeric ezteçála recebi biga edo hirur testimonioren azpian baicen.
Don’t receive an accusation against an elder except at the word of two or three witnesses.
20 Bekatu eguiten dutenac, gucién aitzinean reprehenditzac, berceac-ere baldur diradençát.
Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.
21 Requeritzen aut Iaincoaren eta Iesus Christ Iaunaren eta Aingueru elegituén aitzinean, gauça hauc beguira ditzán, bata berceari preferitu gabe: deus eguiten eztuala alde batera makurtuz.
I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
22 Escuac eztietzoala nehori bertan eçar, eta ezteçála communica berceren bekatuetan, eure buruä pur beguireçac.
Lay hands hastily on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure.
23 Hemendic harát ezteçála vric edan, baina mahatsarno gutibatez vsat eçac, eure estomacagatic, eta eure eritassun vssuacgatic.
Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.
24 Guiçon batzuén bekatuac aitzinean agueri dituc, eta aitzinean dihoaçac condemnationetan: eta batzuey ondoan-ere iarreiquiten ciaiztec.
Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.
25 Halaber obra onac-ere aitzinean agueri dituc: eta bercelaco diraden obrác, ecin estal daitezquec.
In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
