1 Timoteori 2
1 Exhortatzen aut bada gauça gucién aitzinetic eguin ditecen requestác, othoitzeac, supplicationeac, eta remerciamenduac guiçon guciacgatic:
I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made for all men;
2 Regueacgatic, eta dignitatetan diraden guciacgatic, vicitze baquezcoa eta emea eraman deçagunçát pietate eta honestate gucirequin.
for kings and all that are in dignity, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and gravity;
3 Ecen haur gauça ona eta atseguinetacoa duc Iainco gure Saluadorearen aitzinean,
for this is good and acceptable before our Saviour God,
4 Ceinec nahi baitu gende guciac salua ditecen, eta eguiaren eçagutzera ethor ditecen.
who desires that all men should be saved and come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.
5 Ecen Iaincobat duc eta arartecobat Iaincoaren eta guiçonén artean, Iesus Christ guiçon eguinic:
For God is one, and [the] mediator of God and men one, [the] man Christ Jesus,
6 Ceinec bere burua eman vkan baitu rançoinetan guciacgatic: testimoniage içateco bere demborán:
who gave himself a ransom for all, the testimony [to be rendered] in its own times;
7 Ceinen publicaçale eta Apostolu ni ordenatu içan bainaiz (eguia cioat Christean etzioat gueçurric) Gentilén Doctor federequin eta eguiarequin.
to which I have been appointed a herald and apostle, (I speak [the] truth, I do not lie, ) a teacher of [the] nations in faith and truth.
8 Nahi diat bada guiçonéc othoitz daguiten leku orotan escuac chahuric altchatzen dituztelaric hira eta questione gaberic.
I will therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up pious hands, without wrath or reasoning.
9 Halaber emazteac-ere abillamendu honestez ahalquerequin eta modestiarequin acotra ditecen, ez bilo içurtzez, edo vrrhez edo perlaz, edo abillamendu soberanciatacoz:
In like manner also that the women in decent deportment and dress adorn themselves with modesty and discretion, not with plaited [hair] and gold, or pearls, or costly clothing,
10 Baina (emazte Iaincoaren cerbitzatzez professione eguiten duteney dagoten beçala) obra onez.
but, what becomes women making profession of the fear of God, by good works.
11 Emazteac silentiorequin ikas beça suiectione gucirequin.
Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection;
12 Ecen emazteari iracastea, eztiarocat permetitzen, ezeta guiçonaren gainean authoritatez vsatzea, baina den silentiotan.
but I do not suffer a woman to teach nor to exercise authority over man, but to be in quietness;
13 Ecen Adam lehenic formatu içan duc, guero Eua.
for Adam was formed first, then Eve:
14 Eta Adam eztuc seducitu içan, baina emaztea reducitu içanic, transgressionearen causa içan duc.
and Adam was not deceived; but the woman, having been deceived, was in transgression.
15 Baina saluatua içanen duc haour engendratzez, baldin egon badadi fedean, eta dilectionean, eta sanctificationean modestiarequin.
But she shall be preserved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with discretion.
