1 Çuen artean diraden Ancianoey othoitz eguiten drauet nic, bainaiz hayén Ancianoquide: eta Christen afflictionén testimonio, eta manifestatzeco den glorián participant:
The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:
2 Bazca eçaçue Iaincoaren arthalde cargutan eman çaiçuena, harçaz artha duçuelaric, ez gogoz garaitic, baina gogotic: ez irabazte deshonestagatic, baina gogo prest batez.
shepherd the flock of God which [is] among you, exercising oversight, not by necessity, but willingly; not for base gain, but readily;

not as lording it over your possessions, but being models for the flock.
4 Eta aguer dadinean Pastor principala recebituren duqueçue gloriazco coroa incorruptiblea.
And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.
5 Halaber gazteác, çareten çaharrén suiet, eta guciac çareten bata bercearen suiet: çareten humilitatez barnetic appainduac: ecen Iaincoac vrgulutsuey resistitzen draue, eta humiley gratia eguiten.
Likewise [ye] younger, be subject to [the] elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against [the] proud, but to [the] humble gives grace.
6 Humilia çaitezte bada Iaincoaren escu botheretsuaren azpian, ordu datenean goiti çaitzatençat:
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in [the due] time;

having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you.
8 Çareten sobre, eta veilla eçaçue, ecen çuen etsay deabrua, lehoin marrumalaribat beçala, çuen inguru dabila, cein irets deçaqueen bilha:
Be vigilant, watch. Your adversary [the] devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour.
9 Resisti ieçoçue fedez fermu çaretelaric: daquiçuelaric ecen afflictione berac çuen anayén compainia munducoan complitzen diradela.
Whom resist, stedfast in faith, knowing that the selfsame sufferings are accomplished in your brotherhood which [is] in [the] world.
10 Baina gratia guciaren Iaincoac, ceinec deithu baiquaitu bere gloria eternalera Iesus Christ Iaunean, appurbat suffritu dugunean, compli confirma, fortifica eta finca çaitzatela. (aiōnios )
But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground: (aiōnios )
11 Hari gloria eta indar secula seculacotz. Amen. (aiōn )
to him [be] the glory and the might for the ages of the ages. Amen. (aiōn )
12 Syluano gure anaye, vste dudan becembatean, fidelarequin, laburqui scribatu drauçuet: exhortatzen çaituztedalaric, eta testificatzen dudalaric haur dela Iaincoaren gratia eguiazcoa, çeineten baitzaudete.
By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly; exhorting and testifying that this is [the] true grace of God in which ye stand.
13 Salutatzen çaituzte Babyloneco Eliça çuequin batean elegituac, eta ene seme Marc-ec.
She that is elected with [you] in Babylon salutes you, and Marcus my son.
14 Saluta eçaçue elkar charitatezco potez. Baquea dela çuequin gucioquin, cein baitzarete Iesus Christean, Amen.
Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with you all who [are] in Christ.
