1 Məgər hikmət çağırmırmı, Məgər dərrakə səsləmirmi
Doesn't wisdom cry out? Doesn't understanding raise her voice?
2 Uca yerlərdə, yol kənarında, Yollar ayrıcında dayanıb?
On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.
3 Darvazaların yanında, şəhərin qarşısında, Qapıların kandarında çağırır:
Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:
4 «Ey insanlar, mən sizi səsləyirəm, Ey bəşər övladları, sizə xitab edirəm.
"To you men, I call. I send my voice to the sons of humankind.
5 Ey cahillər, uzaqgörən olun, Ey axmaqlar, ağıllanın.
You simple, understand prudence. You fools, be of an understanding heart.
6 Dinləyin, əla şeylərdən danışıram, Dilimdən düz sözlər çıxır.
Hear, for I will speak excellent things. The opening of my lips is for right things.
7 Ağzım həqiqət söyləyir, Dilim şərdən iyrənir.
For my mouth speaks truth. Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 Ağzımdan yalnız salehlik sözləri çıxır, Sözlərimdə nə əyrilik, nə də ki yalan var.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness. There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.
9 Anlayanlar üçün hər şey aydındır, Bilik qazananlar üçün bu bir həqiqətdir.
They are all plain to him who understands, right to those who find knowledge.
10 Gümüşü yox, tərbiyəmi qəbul edin, Saf qızıldan çox biliyi seçin.
Receive my instruction rather than silver; knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 Çünki hikmət yaqutdan qiymətlidir, İnsanın könlü istəyən şeylər ona tay deyil.
For wisdom is better than rubies. All the things that may be desired can't be compared to it.
12 Mən hikmətəm, uzaqgörənlik məndə məskən salıb, Biliyi, dərrakəni tapmışam.
"I, wisdom, have made prudence my dwelling. Find out knowledge and discretion.
13 Rəbb qorxusu pisliyə nifrət etməkdir, Lovğalığa, təkəbbürə, pis yola, Hiyləli dilə nifrət edərəm.
The fear of YHWH is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.
14 Nəsihət, sağlam şüur mənimdir, İdrak mənəm, qüvvəm var.
Counsel and sound knowledge are mine. I have understanding and power.
15 Mənim vasitəmlə şahlar hökmranlıq edir, Hökmdarlar ədalətli fərman verir.
By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice.
16 Ədalətli hakim olan bütün başçılar və əsilzadələr Mənim vasitəmlə hökm verir.
By me princes rule; nobles, and all the righteous rulers of the earth.
17 Məni sevənləri sevirəm, Məni səylə axtaran tapır.
I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me.
18 Sərvət və şərəf, Dağılmaz var-dövlət və salehlik yanımdadır.
With me are riches, honor, enduring wealth, and prosperity.
19 Barım qızıldan, saf qızıldan dəyərlidir, Bəhərim gümüşdən qiymətlidir.
My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold; my yield than choice silver.
20 Mən salehlik yolunda, Ədalət yollarının ortasında gəzərəm.
I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice;
21 Məni sevənləri sərvətə çatdıraram, Xəzinələrini dolduraram.
That I may give wealth to those who love me. I fill their treasuries.
22 Rəbb Öz yolunun başlanğıcında, Hər işindən əvvəl mənə malik oldu.
"YHWH created me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 Yaradılışın əzəlindən, Dünya yaranmazdan əvvəl mən var idim.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth existed.
24 Dərin sular olmazdan əvvəl, Bol sulu çeşmələr olmazdan əvvəl doğulmuşam.
When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water.
25 Dağlar yaradılmazdan əvvəl, Təpələr mövcud olmazdan əvvəl təvəllüd tapmışam.
Before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was brought forth;
26 Rəbb dünyanı, çölü-düzü, torpaqları yaradanda,
while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
27 Göyləri yaradanda, Dərinliyin üzü üstündə bir dairə çəkəndə,
When he established the heavens, I was there; when he set a circle on the surface of the deep,
28 Buludları yuxarıda yerləşdirəndə, Dərinlikdə bulaqları bağlayanda,
when he established the clouds above, when the springs of the deep became strong,
29 Sular əmrindən çıxmasın deyə dənizə sədd çəkəndə, Yerin bünövrələrini təyin edəndə
when he gave to the sea its boundary, that the waters should not violate his commandment, when he marked out the foundations of the earth;
30 Rəbbin yanında memar idim. Hər gün fərəhlənirdim, Hüzurunda həmişə sevinirdim.
then I was the craftsman by his side. I was a delight day by day, always rejoicing before him,
31 Yaratdığı aləmə görə sevinirdim, Bəşər övladlarına görə fərəhlənirdim.
Rejoicing in his whole world. My delight was with the sons of men.
32 İndi, ey övladlar, mənə qulaq asın: Yoluma bağlı qalan nə bəxtiyardır!
"Now therefore, son, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Verdiyim tərbiyəyə qulaq asın, Hikmət alın, onu bir tərəfə atmayın.
Hear instruction, and be wise. Do not refuse it.
34 Mənə qulaq asan, Hər gün darvazalarım qarşısında duran, Qapılarımda dayanıb gözləyən nə bəxtiyardır!
Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts.
35 Çünki məni tapan həyat tapar, Rəbbi razı salar.
For whoever finds me, finds life, and will obtain favor from YHWH.
36 Məni əldən verən canına qəsd edər, Mənə nifrət edənlərin hamısı ölümü sevər».
But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death."
