Süleymanin Məsəlləri 2
1 Oğlum, əgər sözlərimi qəbul etsən, Əmrlərimi qorusan,
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and treasure my commandments with thee;
2 Qulağını hikmətə tərəf çevirsən, Ürəyini dərrakəyə tərəf meyl etdirsən,
So that thou incline thy ear to wisdom, and apply thy heart to understanding;
3 Sən, həqiqətən, idrakı çağırsan, Səs ucaldıb dərrakəni səsləsən,
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 Bunları gümüş kimi axtarsan, Gizli xəzinə kimi arasan,
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Onda Rəbb qorxusunu anlayarsan, Allahı tanıyarsan.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 Çünki Rəbb hikmət verir, Onun ağzından bilik və dərrakə çıxır.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 O, əməlisalehlərin sağlam şüurunu qoruyur, Kamalla gəzənlərə sipər olur.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a shield to them that walk uprightly.
8 O, ədalətin yollarını qoruyur, Möminlərin yollarını hifz edir.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Onda salehlik və ədaləti dərk edərsən, İnsafı, bütün yaxşı yolları tanıyarsan.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; and, every good path.
10 Hikmət qəlbinə dolar, Bilikdən könlün xoş olar.
When wisdom entereth into thy heart, and knowledge is pleasant to thy soul;
11 İdrak səni hifz edər, Dərrakə səni qoruyar.
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 Hikmət səni pislərin yolundan, Sözü məkrli adamlardan qurtarar.
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh perverse things;
13 Onlar düz yolları atıblar, Qaranlıq yollarda dolanırlar.
Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Şər iş görəndə şad olurlar, Şərin məkrindən xoşhallanırlar.
Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of the wicked;
15 Bu adamların yolları əyridir, Onlar dolaşıq yollarla gedir.
Whose ways are crooked, and they are perverse in their paths:
16 Hikmət səni yad arvaddan, Şirin dilli əxlaqsız qadından qurtarar.
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the adulteress who flattereth with her words;
17 Bu qadın gənc vaxtı getdiyi ərini atıb, Allahının əhdini unudub.
Who forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 Onun evi ölümə, Yolları qəbiristanlığa aparar.
For her house inclineth to death, and her paths to the dead.
19 Yanına gələn kimsə geri qayıtmaz, Bir daha həyat yollarına çatmaz.
None that go to her return again, neither do they take hold of the paths of life.
20 Beləliklə, yaxşıların yolu ilə gedərsən, Salehlərin yollarına bağlı qalarsan.
That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 Çünki əməlisalehlər yer üzündə sakin olacaq, Kamillər burada qalacaq.
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 Pis adamlar bu torpaqdan atılacaq, Xainlərin kökü buradan qoparılacaq.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
