1 Beləliklə, sevimli övladlar kimi Allahdan nümunə götürün.
Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
2 Məsih bizi necə sevdisə, Özünü bizim üçün Allahın xoşuna gələn ətirli təqdim və qurban olaraq fəda etdisə, siz də məhəbbətdə elə həyat sürün.
And walk in love, even as Christ also loved us, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
3 Əxlaqsızlığın, hər cür murdarlığın və yaxud tamahkarlığın adı belə, aranızda çəkilməsin, çünki bunlar müqəddəslərə yaraşmaz.
But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;
4 Ədəbsizlik, boşboğazlıq və yaxud kobud zarafat da olmasın. Bunlar sizə yaramaz. Bunun əvəzində qoy şükür olsun.
nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.
5 Əlbəttə, bilirsiniz ki, heç bir əxlaqsız, murdar yaxud bütpərəstə tay olan tamahkar adam Məsihin və Allahın Padşahlığında irsə malik olmayacaq.
Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, that is, an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.
6 Qoy heç kim sizi boş sözlərlə aldatmasın. Bu şeylərə görə Allahın qəzəbi itaətsiz adamların üzərinə gəlir.
Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
7 Buna görə də onların şəriki olmayın.
Therefore do not be partakers with them.
8 Siz də bir zamanlar zülmət idiniz, indi isə Rəbdə nursunuz. Ona görə də nur övladları kimi həyat sürün.
For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
9 Çünki nurun bəhrəsi hər cür yaxşılıqda, salehlikdə və həqiqətdə görülür.
for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
10 Rəbbi razı salan şeyləri ayırd edin,
proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
11 qaranlığın səmərəsiz əməllərinə şərik olmayın. Əksinə, bunları ifşa edin.
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
12 Belə ki qaranlıqdakıların gizlicə etdikləri şeyləri söyləmək də ayıbdır.
For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.
13 Nurun ifşa etdiyi hər şey aşkardır,
But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.
14 bu cür nə aşkara çıxırsa, özü də nur olur. Buna görə belə deyilir: «Ey yatan, oyan və ölülər arasından diril! Məsih sənin üzərinə nur saçacaq».
Therefore he says, "Awake, you who sleep, and rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
15 Beləliklə, həyat tərzinizə ciddi diqqət yetirin, müdriklikdən məhrum olanlar kimi deyil, müdriklər kimi həyat sürün.
Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
16 Hər fürsətdən istifadə edin, çünki günlər şərdir.
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Buna görə ağılsız olmayın, Rəbbin iradəsini dərk edin.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18 Şərabdan sərxoş olmayın, bu sizi mənəviyyatsızlığa aparır. Bunun əvəzinə Ruhla dolun.
Do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
19 Bir-birinizə məzmurlar, ilahilər və ruhani nəğmələr oxuyun, Rəbbə ürəkdən nəğmələr çalıb-oxuyun.
speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your heart to the Lord;
20 Həmişə hər şeyə görə Rəbbimiz İsa Məsihin adı ilə Ata Allaha şükür edin.
giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father;
21 Məsih qorxusu ilə bir-birinizə tabe olun.
subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.
22 Ey qadınlar, Rəbbə tabe olduğunuz kimi ərlərinizə tabe olun.
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 Çünki bədənin Xilaskarı olan Məsih imanlılar cəmiyyətinin Başı olduğu kimi ər də arvadının başıdır.
For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the savior of the body.
24 Ona görə cəmiyyət Məsihə tabe olduğu kimi arvadlar da hər vəziyyətdə öz ərlərinə tabe olsunlar.
But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything.
25 Ey ərlər, Məsih imanlılar cəmiyyətini sevib onun uğrunda Özünü fəda etdiyi kimi siz də arvadlarınızı sevin.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
26 Məsih bunu ona görə etdi ki, cəmiyyəti su ilə yuyub kəlamla təmizləyərək təqdis etsin
that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
27 və beləcə onda ləkə, qırışıq yaxud başqa qüsur olmadan izzətli şəkildə, müqəddəs və nöqsansız olaraq Öz hüzuruna çıxarsın.
that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 Ərlər də eyni şəkildə arvadlarını öz bədənləri kimi sevməlidirlər. Arvadını sevən özünü sevir.
Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
29 Çünki heç kim heç zaman öz vücuduna nifrət etməz. Əksinə, Məsih cəmiyyətə yanaşdığı kimi onu bəsləyib qayğısına qalar.
For no one ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also does the church;
30 Axı biz Onun bədən üzvləriyik.
because we are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.
31 «Buna görə də kişi ata-anasını tərk edib arvadına qovuşacaq və ikisi bir bədən olacaq».
"For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
32 Bu sirr böyükdür, mən bunun Məsihə və cəmiyyətə dəxli olduğunu söyləyirəm.
This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the church.
33 Sizə gəlincə, qoy hər kəs öz arvadını özü kimi sevsin, arvad isə ərinə ehtiram etsin.
Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
