প্রবচন 7

1 ১ হে মোৰ পুত্র, মোৰ বাক্য পালন কৰা, আৰু মোৰ আজ্ঞাবোৰ তোমাৰ হৃদয়ত সংগ্রহ কৰা।

My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you.

2 ২ মোৰ আজ্ঞা পালন কৰি জীৱন ধাৰণ কৰা; তোমাৰ চকুৰ মণিৰ দৰে মোৰ নিৰ্দেশ মানি চলা।

Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.

3 ৩ সেইবোৰ তোমাৰ আঙুলিত বান্ধা, আৰু তোমাৰ হৃদয় ফলিত লিখি ৰাখা।

Bind them on your fingers, write them on the table of your heart.

4 ৪ প্রজ্ঞাক কোৱা, “তুমি মোৰ ভনী,” আৰু সুবিবেচনাক কোৱা তুমি মোৰ আত্মীয়।

Say to wisdom, You are my sister; and call understanding your kinswoman:

5 ৫ প্রলোভনকাৰী, আৰু মুখৰ বাক্যেৰে ব্যভিচাৰ কৰা মহিলাৰ পৰা নিজকে ৰক্ষা কৰা।

That they may keep you from the strange woman, from the stranger which flatters with her words.

6 ৬ মোৰ ঘৰৰ খিড়িকিৰ ওচৰত থিয় হৈ, মই জালিৰে বাহিৰলৈ চাইছিলোঁ।

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,

7 ৭ আৰু মই বহুতো শিক্ষা নোপোৱা যুৱকসকলক দেখিছিলোঁ, যুৱক সকলৰ মাজত মই এজন জ্ঞানশূন্য যুৱকক দেখিছিলোঁ।

And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

8 ৮ সেই যুৱকজনে তাইৰ ঘৰৰ ওচৰৰ বাটেৰে গৈ আছিল, আৰু তেওঁৰ ঘৰলৈ গ’ল-

Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,

9 ৯ সেই দিনা সন্ধিয়া চকামকা সময় আছিল, ৰাতি আৰু আন্ধাৰৰ সেই সময়ত।

In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

10 ১০ আৰু সেই ঠাইত এগৰাকী মহিলাই তেওঁক ল’গ পালে, বেশ্যাৰ দৰে তাইৰ পোচাক, আৰু তাই জানিছিল তাই তাত কিয় আছিল।

And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtle of heart.

11 ১১ তাই কোলাহলপূৰ্ণ আৰু উচ্ছৃঙ্খল, তাইৰ ভৰি ঘৰত নাথাকে।

(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:

12 ১২ তাই কেতিয়াবা বাটত, কেতিয়াবা বজাৰত উপস্থিত হয়, তাই প্রতিটো চকতে বাট চাই থাকে।

Now is she without, now in the streets, and lies in wait at every corner.)

13 ১৩ সেয়ে তাই তেওঁক সাৱটি ধৰি চুমা খালে; তাই দুঃসাহসেৰে তেওঁক ক’লে,

So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said to him,

14 ১৪ “মই আজি মোৰ মঙ্গলাৰ্থক বলিদান কৰিলোঁ, মই মোৰ সঙ্কল্প সিদ্ধ কৰিলোঁ;

I have peace offerings with me; this day have I paid my vows.

15 ১৫ সেয়ে মই আপোনাক লগ পাবলৈ বাহিৰলৈ আহিলোঁ, মই আগ্ৰহেৰে আপোনাক বিচাৰিছিলোঁ, আৰু মই আপোনাক বিচাৰি পালোঁ।

Therefore came I forth to meet you, diligently to seek your face, and I have found you.

16 ১৬ মই মোৰ বিচনা মিচৰৰ পৰা অনা ৰঙীণ কাপোৰেৰে ঢাকিলোঁ।

I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

17 ১৭ মই গন্ধৰস, অগৰু, আৰু ডালচেনিৰে মোৰ বিচনা সুগন্ধি কৰিলোঁ।

I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 ১৮ আহাঁ, আমি ৰাতিপুৱালৈকে প্ৰেমত লীন হৈ থাকোঁ। আহাঁ আমি বেলেগ ধৰণে প্রেম উপভোগ কৰোঁ।

Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 ১৯ মোৰ স্বামী ঘৰত নাই, তেওঁ দূৰ যাত্রাত গৈছে।

For the manager is not at home, he is gone a long journey:

20 ২০ তেওঁ তেওঁৰ লগত ধনৰ মোনা লৈ গৈছে, তেওঁ পুৰ্ণিমাৰ দিনহে ঘূৰি আহিব।”

He has taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

21 ২১ তাই তাইৰ প্রলোভনযুক্ত কথাৰে তেওঁক মান্তি কৰালে; আৰু তাইৰ মধুৰ কথাৰে বাধ্য কৰালে।

With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

22 ২২ তেওঁ কাটিবলৈ নিয়া গৰুৰ দৰে বা ফান্দত ধৰা পৰা হৰিণৰ দৰে তাইৰ পাছে পাছে গ’ল।

He goes after her straightway, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

23 ২৩ যেতিয়ালৈকে কলিজাৰ মাজেৰে কাঁড়ে নিবিন্ধে বা চৰাই জালৰ ফান্দত পৰিবলৈ যিদৰে শীঘ্ৰে উড়ি যোৱাৰ দৰে, ইয়াৰ মূল্য যে তেওঁৰ জীৱন হ’ব পাৰে, সেই কথা তেওঁ নজনাকৈ তাইৰ পাছে পাছে গৈ থাকিল।

Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hastens to the snare, and knows not that it is for his life.

24 ২৪ আৰু এতিয়া হে মোৰ পুত্র, মোৰ কথা শুনা, মই কোৱা কথালৈ মনোযোগ দিয়া।

Listen to me now therefore, O you children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

25 ২৫ তোমাৰ হৃদয় তাইৰ ফাললৈ ঢাল খাব নিদিবা, আৰু তুমি তাইৰ পথত গৈ বিপথগামী নহবা।

Let not your heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

26 ২৬ তাই অনেকক আনি নষ্ট কৰিছে, তেওঁলোকক গণনা কৰিব নোৱাৰি।

For she has cast down many wounded: yes, many strong men have been slain by her.

27 ২৭ তাইৰ ঘৰেই চিয়োললৈ যোৱা বাট, আৰু মৃত্যুৰ অন্তঃপুৰলৈ নামি যোৱা পথ। (Sheol h7585)

Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
