যোব 40

1 ১ যিহোৱাই ইয়োবক আৰু উত্তৰ কৰি ক’লে,

And Jehovah answered Job and said,

2 ২ দোষ ধৰোঁতাই জানো সৰ্ব্বশক্তিমান জনাৰ লগত বিবাদ কৰিব? ঈশ্বৰৰ লগত বাদানুবাদ কৰোঁতাই তাৰ উত্তৰ দিয়ক।

Shall he that will contend with the Almighty instruct [him]? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

3 ৩ তাতে ইয়োবে যিহোৱাক উত্তৰ কৰি ক’লে,

And Job answered Jehovah and said,

4 ৪ “চোৱা, মই নীহ, তোমাক কি উত্তৰ দিম? মই মোৰ মুখত হাত দিওঁ।

Behold, I am nought: what shall I answer thee? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.

5 ৫ মই এবেলি ক’লোঁ, আৰু উত্তৰ নিদিওঁ; এনে কি, দুবেলি ক’লো, কিন্তু পুনৰায় নকওঁ।”

Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; yea twice, but I will proceed no further.

6 ৬ তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই ধুমুহাটোৰ মাজৰ পৰা ইয়োবক উত্তৰ দি ক’লে,

And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

7 ৭ “তুমি বীৰৰ দৰে কঁকাল বান্ধা; মই তোমাক সোধোঁ, তুমি মোক কোৱা।

Gird up now thy loins like a man: I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.

8 ৮ মই ন্যায় বিৰুদ্ধ বুলি তুমি সঁচাই ক’বা নে? বা নিজকে ধাৰ্মিক কৰিবৰ অৰ্থে মোক দোষী কৰিবা নে?

Wilt thou also annul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me that thou mayest be righteous?

9 ৯ তোমাৰ জানো ঈশ্বৰৰ নিচিনা বাহু আছে? তুমি জানো তেওঁৰ দৰে মেঘ-গৰ্জ্জনৰ নিচিনা শব্দ কৰিব পাৰা?

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

10 ১০ তেনেহলে তুমি প্ৰতাপ আৰু মহিমাৰে বিভুষিত হোৱা, প্ৰভাব আৰু গৌৰৱৰূপ বস্ত্ৰ পৰিধান কৰা;

Deck thyself now with glory and excellency, and clothe thyself with majesty and splendour.

11 ১১ তুমি নিজ ক্ৰোধৰূপ বৃষ্টি বৰষোৱা, প্ৰত্যেক অহঙ্কাৰীকে চোৱা আৰু তেওঁলোকক নত কৰা।

Cast abroad the ragings of thine anger, and look on every one that is proud, and abase him:

12 ১২ প্ৰত্যেক অহঙ্কাৰীকে চোৱা আৰু তেওঁলোকক নীহ অৱস্থালৈ পেলোৱা, দুষ্টবোৰক সিহঁতৰ নিজ নিজ ঠাইত গচকি পেলোৱা;

Look on every one that is proud, bring him low, and tread down the wicked in their place:

13 ১৩ সিহঁতক একেবাৰে ধুলিৰে ঢাকি থোৱা, সিহঁতৰ মুখ গুপুত ঠাইত বান্ধি ৰাখা।

Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in secret.

14 ১৪ তেতিয়া তোমাৰ সোঁ হাতে তোমাক ৰক্ষা কৰিব বুলি মইও তোমাৰ বিষয়ে স্বীকাৰ কৰিম।

Then will I also praise thee, because thy right hand saveth thee.

15 ১৫ ই তোমাৰ লগত বহেমোৎ নামেৰে যি জন্তু স্ৰজিলোঁ, তাক চোৱা; সি গৰুৰ দৰে ঘাঁহহে খায়।

See now the behemoth, which I made with thee: he eateth grass as an ox.

16 ১৬ চোৱা, তাৰ বল তাৰ কঁকালত আছে, তাৰ শক্তি তাৰ পেটৰ পেশীত আছে।

Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the muscles of his belly.

17 ১৭ সি নিজৰ নেজ এৰচ গছৰ ডালৰ দৰে লৰায়; তাৰ তপিনাৰ পেশীবোৰ জালৰ দৰে গঁথা।

He bendeth his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are woven together.

18 ১৮ তাৰ হাড়বোৰ পিতলৰ নলীৰ নিচিনা, তাৰ অস্থিবোৰ লোহাৰ ডাং সদৃশ।

His bones are tubes of bronze, his members are like bars of iron.

19 ১৯ ঈশ্বৰৰ সৃষ্টিৰ মাজত সি প্ৰধান; যিজনা সৃষ্টিকৰ্ত্তাই তাক সৃষ্টি কৰিলে, একমাত্র সেইজনা ঈশ্বৰেহে তাক পৰাভূত কৰিব পাৰিব।

He is the chief of God's ways: he that made him gave him his sword.

20 ২০ পৰ্ব্বতবোৰে তাৰ বাবে আহাৰ উৎপন্ন কৰে; তাতে আটাই বনৰীয়া জন্তুৱে ধেমালি কৰে।

For the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

21 ২১ সি পদুমনিৰ তলত শোৱে, নলনি আৰু পিটনিৰ আঁৰত সি আশ্রয় লয়।

He lieth under lotus-bushes, in the covert of the reed and fen:

22 ২২ পদুম গছবোৰে তাক ছাঁ দি ধৰে; নদীৰ বাইচি গছবোৰ তাৰ চাৰিওফালে থাকে।

Lotus-bushes cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook surround him.

23 ২৩ চোৱা, নৈ বাঢ়ি বাগৰি গলেও সি ত্ৰাস নাপায়; যৰ্দ্দন ওফন্দি তাৰ মুখৰ ওচৰ পালেও, সি নিশ্চিন্ত হৈ থাকে।

Lo, the river overfloweth — he startleth not: he is confident though a Jordan break forth against his mouth.

24 ২৪ সি চাই থাকোঁতে জানো কোনোবাই তাক ধৰিব পাৰে? কোনো ফান্দ লগাই তাৰ নাক জানো বিন্ধিব পাৰে?

Shall he be taken in front? will they pierce through [his] nose in the trap?
