যোব 16

1 ১ তেতিয়া ইয়োবে পুনৰায় উত্তৰ কৰি ক’লে,

Then Job answered and said,

2 ২ মই এইৰূপ অনেক কথা শুনিলো; তোমালোক সকলোৱেই দুখদায়ক শান্ত্বনাকাৰী।

I have heard many such things: miserable comforters [are] ye all.

3 ৩ বায়ুতুল্য কথাৰ জানো কেতিয়াবা শেষ হয়? বা উত্তৰ দিবলৈ তোমাক জানো উদগাইছে?

Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest?

4 ৪ ময়ো তোমালোকৰ দৰে উত্তৰ দিব পাৰোঁ; মোৰ প্ৰাণৰ সলনি যদি তোমালোকৰ প্ৰাণ হলেহেঁতেন, তেনেহলে মইও তোমালোকৰ অহিতে কথা সাজিব পাৰিলোহেঁতেন, আৰু তোমালোকক বিদ্রূপ কৰি মূৰ জোকাৰিব পাৰিলোহেঁতেন।

I also could speak as ye [do: ] if your soul were in my soul’s stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.

5 ৫ অস্ মই মুখেৰেহে তোমালোকক সবল কৰিলোহেঁতেন, আৰু মোৰ ওঠৰ শান্ত্বনাত তোমালোকৰ দুখৰ উপশমহে হলহেঁতেন।

[But] I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage [your grief].

6 ৬ মই কথা কলেও মোৰ ক্লেশৰ উপশম নহয়, আৰু নিমাতে থাকিলে কি মোৰ দুখ গুচিব?

Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and [though] I forbear, what am I eased?

7 ৭ কিন্তু তেওঁ এতিয়া মোক ক্লান্ত কৰিলে; তুমি মোৰ গোটেই পৰিয়াল উচ্ছন্ন কৰিলা।

But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.

8 ৮ তুমি মোৰ শৰীৰ শীৰ্ণ কৰিলা, সেয়ে মোৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সাক্ষী হৈছে; মোৰ শৰীৰৰ দীনতাই মোৰ বিৰুদ্ধে উঠিছে, আৰু এয়ে মোৰ অহিতে উঠি মোৰ সাক্ষাতে প্ৰমাণ দিছে।

And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, [which] is a witness [against me: ] and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.

9 ৯ তেওঁ ক্ৰোধত মোক বিদাৰিলে, আৰু তাড়নাও কৰিলে; তেওঁ মোলৈ দাঁত কৰচিলে; মোক চকুৰপানীয়ে পৃথক কৰে, মোৰ শত্রুৱে মোলৈ দৃঢ়ভাবে চাই থাকে;

He teareth [me] in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.

10 ১০ লোকে মোৰ বিৰুদ্ধে মুখ মেলে; সিহঁতে ধিক্কাৰ দি মোৰ গালত চৰ মাৰে; সিহঁতে মোৰ অহিতে গোট খায়।

They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.

11 ১১ ঈশ্বৰে মোক অধৰ্মিৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিলে, আৰু দুষ্টবোৰৰ হাতত পেলাই দিলে।

God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.

12 ১২ মই শান্তিৰে আছিলোঁ আৰু তেওঁ মোক ভাঙি পৃথক কৰিলে, এনে কি, মোৰ ডিঙিত ধৰি মোক থেকেচিলে; আৰু মোক নিজৰ কাঁড় মৰাৰ নিচান পাতিলে।

I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken [me] by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.

13 ১৩ তেওঁৰ ধনুৰ্দ্ধৰবোৰে মোক আগুৰি ধৰে; ঈশ্বৰে মোৰ বৃক্ক বিদাৰিলে আৰু মোক অতিৰিক্ত নকৰিলে, তেওঁ মোৰ পিত্ত মাটিত ঢালি দিলে।

His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

14 ১৪ তেওঁ মোৰ প্ৰাচীৰৰ যোগেদি বাৰে বাৰে ভাঙে; তেওঁ বীৰৰ নিচিনাকৈ মোৰ বিৰুদ্ধে লৰি আহে।

He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.

15 ১৫ মই ছালৰ ওপৰত চট কাপোৰ সিয়াই ললোঁ, আৰু ধুলিৰে মোৰ শিং লেটিপেটি কৰিলোঁ।

I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.

16 ১৬ যদিও মোৰ হাতত অত্যাচাৰ নাই, আৰু মোৰ প্ৰাৰ্থনাও পবিত্ৰ,

My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids [is] the shadow of death;

17 ১৭ তথাপি কান্দোতে কান্দোতে মোৰ মুখ বিকৃত হ’ল, আৰু মৃত্যুচ্ছায়া মোৰ চকুৰ পিৰঠিৰ ওপৰত আছে।

Not for [any] injustice in mine hands: also my prayer [is] pure.

18 ১৮ হে পৃথিৱী, তুমি মোৰ তেজ নাঢাকিবা, আৰু মোৰ কাতৰোক্তিয়ে জিৰাবলৈ ঠাই নাপাওক।

O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.

19 ১৯ চোৱা, এতিয়াও মোৰ সাক্ষী স্বৰ্গত আছে, আৰু মোৰ পক্ষে প্ৰমাণ দিওঁতা জনা উচ্চস্থানত আছে।

Also now, behold, my witness [is] in heaven, and my record [is] on high.

20 ২০ মোৰ চকুৱে যেতিয়া ঈশ্বৰৰ কাৰণে অশ্রু বিসৰ্জন কৰে, তেতিয়া মোৰ বন্ধুবোৰেই মোক নিন্দা কৰে;

My friends scorn me: [but] mine eye poureth out [tears] unto God.

21 ২১ যেনেদৰে এজন মানুহে নিজ চুবুৰীয়াৰ সৈতে কৰে, তেনেদৰে মই কওঁ সাক্ষ্যৰ বাবে এই মানুহে ঈশ্বৰৰ সৈতে তৰ্ক কৰে!

O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man [pleadeth] for his neighbour!

22 ২২ কিয়নো মাত্র কেইবছৰৰ ভিতৰতে মই সেই ঠাইলৈ যাম, যি ঠাইৰ পৰা মই পুনৰ উভতি আহিব নোৱাৰিম।

When a few years are come, then I shall go the way [whence] I shall not return.
