ՏԻՏՈՍ 2

1 Իսկ դուն խօսէ՛ ինչ որ կը պատշաճի ողջամիտ վարդապետութեան:

But speke thou tho thingis that bisemen hoolsum teching;

2 Տարեցները թող ըլլան զգաստ, պատկառելի, խոհեմ, եւ ողջամիտ՝ հաւատքով, սիրով ու համբերութեամբ:

that elde men be sobre, chast, prudent, hool in feith, in loue, and pacience;

3 Տարեց կիներն ալ թող վարուին այնպէս՝ ինչպէս կը վայլէ սրբութեան, եւ ըլլան ո՛չ չարախօս, ո՛չ գինեմոլ, հապա՝ բարի բաներ սորվեցնող.

also olde wymmen in hooli abite, not sclaundereris, not seruynge myche to wyn, wel techynge, that thei teche prudence.

4 որպէսզի սորվեցնեն դեռահասակ կիներուն՝ սիրել իրենց ամուսինները, սիրել իրենց զաւակները,

Moneste thou yonge wymmen, that thei loue here hosebondis, that thei loue her children;

5 եւ ըլլալ խոհեմ, մաքրակենցաղ, տնաշէն, բարեգործ, իրենց ամուսիններուն հպատակ, որ Աստուծոյ խօսքը չհայհոյուի:

and that thei be prudent, chast, sobre, hauynge cure of the hous, benygne, suget to her hosebondis, that the word of God be not blasfemyd.

6 Նոյնպէս յորդորէ՛ երիտասարդները որ ըլլան խոհեմ:

Also moneste thou yonge men, that thei be sobre.

7 Ամէն բանի մէջ դուն քեզ ցոյց տուր իբր տիպար՝ բարի գործերու. վարդապետութեան մէջ՝ ցոյց տուր անեղծութիւն, պատկառանք,

In alle thingis yyue thi silf ensaumple of good werkis, in teching, in hoolnesse, in sadnesse.

8 ողջամիտ եւ անպարսաւելի խօսք, որպէսզի հակառակողը ամչնայ՝ մեր մասին չարախօսելիք ոչինչ ունենալով:

An hoolsum word, and vnrepreuable; that he that is of the contrarie side, be aschamed, hauynge noon yuel thing to seie of you.

9 Յորդորէ՛ ստրուկները՝ որ հպատակին իրենց տէրերուն ու հաճելի ըլլան անոնց՝ ամէն բանի մէջ. չհակաճառեն,

Moneste thou seruauntis to be suget to her lordis; in alle thingis plesinge, not ayenseiynge, not defraudynge,

10 չխորեն, հապա բոլորովին բարի հաւատարմութիւն ցոյց տան, որպէսզի զարդարեն մեր Փրկիչ Աստուծոյ վարդապետութիւնը՝ ամէն բանի մէջ:

but in alle thingis schewinge good feith, that thei onoure in alle thingis the doctryn of `God, oure sauyour.

11 Քանի որ Աստուծոյ փրկարար շնորհքը երեւցաւ բոլոր մարդոց,

For the grace of `God, oure sauyour, hath apperid to alle men,

12 կրթելով մեզ՝ որ ուրանանք ամբարշտութիւնն ու աշխարհային ցանկութիւնները, եւ ապրինք խոհեմութեամբ, արդարութեամբ ու բարեպաշտութեամբ՝ այս ներկայ աշխարհին մէջ, (aiōn g165)

and tauyte vs, that we forsake wickidnesse, and worldli desyris, lyue sobreli, and iustli, `and piteuousli in this world, (aiōn g165)

13 սպասելով այն երանելի յոյսին եւ մեծ Աստուծոյ ու մեր Փրկիչ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի փառքին երեւումին:

abidinge the blessid hope and the comyng of the glorie of the greet God, and of oure sauyour Jhesu Crist;

14 Ան ընծայեց ինքզինք մեզի համար, որպէսզի ազատագրէ մեզ ամէն անօրէնութենէ, եւ մաքրելով՝ ընէ իր սեփական ժողովուրդը, նախանձախնդիր բարի գործերու:

that yaf hym silf for vs, to ayenbie vs fro al wickidnesse, and make clene to hym silf a puple acceptable, and suere of good werkis.

15 Ըսէ՛ այս բաները, յորդորէ՛ ու կշտամբէ՛ ամբողջ հեղինակութեամբ: Ո՛չ մէկը թող արհամարհէ քեզ:

Speke thou these thingis, and moneste thou, and repreue thou with al comaundement; no man dispise thee.
