ՄԱՏԹԷՈՍ 1
1 Յիսուս Քրիստոսի՝ Դաւիթի որդիին, Աբրահամի որդիին ծնունդի գիրքը:
The book of the generacioun of Jhesu Crist, the sone of Dauid, the sone of Abraham.
2 Աբրահամ ծնաւ Իսահակը. Իսահակ ծնաւ Յակոբը. Յակոբ ծնաւ Յուդան ու անոր եղբայրները.
Abraham bigat Isaac. Isaac bigat Jacob. Jacob bigat Judas and hise britheren.
3 Յուդա ծնաւ Փարէսն ու Զարան՝ Թամարէն. Փարէս ծնաւ Եսրոնը. Եսրոն ծնաւ Արամը.
Judas bigat Fares and Zaram, of Tamar. Fares bigat Esrom.
4 Արամ ծնաւ Ամինադաբը. Ամինադաբ ծնաւ Նաասոնը. Նաասոն ծնաւ Սաղմոնը.
Esrom bigat Aram. Aram bigat Amynadab. Amynadab bigat Naason. Naason bigat Salmon.
5 Սաղմոն ծնաւ Բոոսը՝ Ռախաբէն. Բոոս ծնաւ Ովբէդը՝ Հռութէն. Ովբէդ ծնաւ Յեսսէն.
Salmon bigat Booz, of Raab. Booz bigat Obeth, of Ruth. Obeth bigat Jesse. Jesse bigat Dauid the king.
6 Յեսսէ ծնաւ Դաւիթ թագաւորը. Դաւիթ թագաւորը ծնաւ Սողոմոնը՝ Ուրիայի կնոջմէն.
Dauid the king bigat Salamon, of hir that was Vries wijf.
7 Սողոմոն ծնաւ Ռոբովամը.
Salomon bigat Roboam. Roboam bigat Abias.
8 Ռոբովամ ծնաւ Աբիան. Աբիա ծնաւ Ասան. Ասա ծնաւ Յովսափատը. Յովսափատ ծնաւ Յովրամը. Յովրամ ծնաւ Ոզիան.
Abias bigat Asa. Asa bigat Josaphath. Josaphath bigat Joram. Joram bigat
9 Ոզիա ծնաւ Յովաթամը. Յովաթամ ծնաւ Աքազը, Աքազ ծնաւ Եզեկիան.
Osias. Osias bigat Joathan. Joathan bigat Achaz. Achaz bigat Ezechie.
10 Եզեկիա ծնաւ Մանասէն. Մանասէ ծնաւ Ամոնը.
Ezechie bigat Manasses. Manasses bigat Amon.
11 Ամոն ծնաւ Յովսիան. Յովսիա ծնաւ Յեքոնիան ու անոր եղբայրները՝ Բաբելոնի տարագրութեան ատենները.
Amon bigat Josias. Josias bigat Jeconyas and his britheren, in to the transmygracioun of Babiloyne.
12 Բաբելոնի տարագրութենէն ետք՝ Յեքոնիա ծնաւ Սաղաթիէլը.
And aftir the transmygracioun of Babiloyne, Jeconyas bigat Salatiel. Salatiel bigat Zorobabel.
13 Սաղաթիէլ ծնաւ Զօրաբաբէլը. Զօրաբաբէլ ծնաւ Աբիուդը. Աբիուդ ծնաւ Եղիակիմը.
Zorobabel bigat Abyut. Abyut bigat Eliachym. Eliachym bigat Asor.
14 Եղիակիմ ծնաւ Ազովրը. Ազովր ծնաւ Սադովկը. Սադովկ ծնաւ Աքինը. Աքին ծնաւ Եղիուդը.
Asor bigat Sadoc. Sadoc bigat Achym.
15 Եղիուդ ծնաւ Եղիազարը. Եղիազար ծնաւ Մատթանը.
Achym bigat Elyut. Elyut bigat Eleasar. Eleasar bigat Mathan.
16 Մատթան ծնաւ Յակոբը. Յակոբ ծնաւ Յովսէփը՝ ամուսինը Մարիամի, որմէ ծնաւ Յիսուս, որ կոչուեցաւ Քրիստոս:
Mathan bigat Jacob. Jacob bigat Joseph, the hosebonde of Marye, of whom Jhesus was borun, that is clepid Christ.
17 Ուրեմն բոլոր սերունդները Աբրահամէն մինչեւ Դաւիթ՝ տասնչորս սերունդ են, եւ Դաւիթէն մինչեւ Բաբելոնի տարագրութիւնը՝ տասնչորս սերունդ, ու Բաբելոնի տարագրութենէն մինչեւ Քրիստոս՝ տասնչորս սերունդ:
And so alle generaciouns fro Abraham to Dauid ben fourtene generacions, and fro Dauid to the transmygracioun of Babiloyne ben fourtene generaciouns, and fro the transmygracioun of Babiloyne to Crist ben fourtene generaciouns.
18 Յիսուս Քրիստոսի ծնունդը եղաւ սա՛ կերպով: Անոր մայրը՝ Մարիամ, Յովսէփի նշանուած, Սուրբ Հոգիէն յղացած գտնուեցաւ՝ դեռ իրարու քով չեկած:
But the generacioun of Crist was thus. Whanne Marie, the modir of Jhesu, was spousid to Joseph, bifore thei camen togidere, she was foundun hauynge of the Hooli Goost in the wombe.
19 Յովսէփ՝ անոր ամուսինը, արդար մարդ ըլլալով, ու չուզելով որ խայտառակէ զայն, կը ծրագրէր ծածկաբար արձակել զայն:
And Joseph, hir hosebonde, for he was riytful, and wolde not puplische hir, he wolde priueli haue left hir.
20 Մինչ ան ա՛յդպէս կը մտածէր, ահա՛ Տէրոջ հրեշտակը երեւցաւ անոր՝ երազի մէջ, եւ ըսաւ. «Յովսէ՛փ, Դաւիթի՛ որդի, մի՛ վախնար քովդ առնել կինդ՝ Մարիամը, որովհետեւ անոր մէջ յղացուածը Սուրբ Հոգիէն է:
But while he thouyte thes thingis, lo! the aungel of the Lord apperide `in sleep to hym, and seide, Joseph, the sone of Dauid, nyle thou drede to take Marie, thi wijf; for that thing that is borun in hir is of the Hooli Goost.
21 Ան պիտի ծնանի որդի մը, եւ անոր անունը Յիսուս պիտի կոչես, քանի որ ա՛ն պիտի փրկէ իր ժողովուրդը իրենց մեղքերէն»:
And she shal bere a sone, and thou shalt clepe his name Jhesus; for he schal make his puple saaf fro her synnes.
22 Այս ամէնը կատարուեցաւ, որպէսզի իրագործուի մարգարէին միջոցով ըսուած Տէրոջ խօսքը.
For al this thing was don, that it schulde be fulfillid, that was seid of the Lord bi a prophete, seiynge, Lo!
23 «Ահա՛ կոյսը պիտի յղանայ ու որդի պիտի ծնանի, եւ անոր անունը Էմմանուէլ պիտի կոչեն», որ կը թարգմանուի՝ Աստուած մեզի հետ:
a virgyn shal haue in wombe, and she schal bere a sone, and thei schulen clepe his name Emanuel, that is to seie, God with vs.
24 Յովսէփ քունէն արթննալով՝ ըրաւ ինչ որ Տէրոջ հրեշտակը հրամայեց իրեն, եւ քովը առաւ իր կինը:
And Joseph roos fro sleepe, and dide as the aungel of the Lord comaundide hym, and took Marie, his wijf;
25 Ու չգիտցաւ զայն՝ մինչեւ որ ան ծնաւ իր անդրանիկ որդին. եւ անոր անունը Յիսուս կոչեց:
and he knew her not, til she hadde borun her firste bigete sone, and clepide his name Jhesus.
