ՂՈԻԿԱՍ 9
1 Իր տասներկու աշակերտները հաւաքելով՝ զօրութիւն ու իշխանութիւն տուաւ անոնց բոլոր դեւերուն վրայ, եւ ախտերը բժշկելու:
And, calling together the twelve, he gave them power and authority over all the demons, and to be curing, diseases;
2 Ու ղրկեց զանոնք՝ որ քարոզեն Աստուծոյ թագաւորութիւնը եւ բժշկեն հիւանդները:
and sent them forth, to be proclaiming the kingdom of God, and to be healing;
3 Ըսաւ անոնց. «Ճամբորդութեան համար ոչի՛նչ առէք, ո՛չ գաւազան եւ ո՛չ պարկ, ո՛չ հաց եւ ո՛չ դրամ. ո՛չ ալ կրկին բաճկոն ունեցէք՝՝:
and said unto them—Nothing, take ye for the journey, —neither staff, nor satchel, nor bread, nor silver, nor to have, two tunics.
4 Որո՛ւ տուն որ մտնէք՝ հո՛ն մնացէք, ապա անկէ մեկնեցէք:
And, into whatsoever house ye enter, there, abide, and, thence, be going forth.
5 Իսկ անոնք որ չեն ընդունիր ձեզ, երբ դուրս ելլէք այդ քաղաքէն՝ թօթուեցէ՛ք ձեր ոտքերուն փոշին անգամ, իբր վկայութիւն անոնց դէմ»:
And, as many soever as shall not welcome you, in going forth from that city, the dust of your feet, shake ye off, for a witness against them.
6 Անոնք ալ մեկնեցան եւ գիւղէ գիւղ կը շրջէին, ամէնուրեք աւետարանելով ու բուժելով:
And they went forth, and were passing through, along the villages, —delivering the glad-message, and effecting cures in every direction.
7 Հերովդէս չորրորդապետը՝ անոր բոլոր կատարածներուն մասին լսելով՝ տարակոյսի մէջ էր, որովհետեւ ոմանք ըսած էին.
Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all the things which were coming to pass, and was utterly at a loss, because of its being said, by some, that, John, had been raised from the dead;
8 «Յովհաննէս մեռելներէն յարութիւն առաւ», եւ ոմանք. «Եղիա յայտնուեցաւ», իսկ ուրիշներ ալ. «Նախկին մարգարէներէն մէկը յարութիւն առաւ»:
and, by some, that, Elijah, had appeared; and, by others, that, some prophet of the ancients, had arisen.
9 Հերովդէս ըսաւ. «Յովհաննէսը ե՛ս գլխատեցի, իսկ ո՞վ պիտի ըլլայ ասիկա՝ որուն մասին այսպիսի բաներ կը լսեմ»: Ու կը ջանար տեսնել զայն:
But Herod said—John, I myself, beheaded; but, who is this, concerning whom I am hearing such things as these? And he was seeking to see him.
10 Առաքեալները վերադարձան, ու պատմեցին անոր՝ ինչ որ ըրին. եւ առնելով զանոնք՝ մէկդի քաշուեցաւ ամայի տեղ մը, քաղաքի մը քով՝ որուն անունը Բեթսայիդա էր:
And the Apostles, returning, related to him what great things they had done. And, taking them aside, he retired privately, into a city called Bethsaida.
11 Երբ բազմութիւնները գիտցան՝ անոր հետեւեցան: Ինք ալ զանոնք ընդունելով՝ կը խօսէր անոնց Աստուծոյ թագաւորութեան մասին, եւ կը բժշկէր անո՛նք՝ որ բուժումի պէտք ունէին:
But, the multitudes, getting to know, followed him; and, giving them welcome, he began speaking unto them concerning the kingdom of God, —and, them that had need of cure, he healed,
12 Երբ օրը սկսաւ մթննալ՝ տասներկուքը մօտեցան եւ ըսին անոր. «Արձակէ՛ բազմութիւնը, որպէսզի երթան շրջակայ գիւղերն ու արտերը, իջեւանին եւ ուտելիք գտնեն, որովհետեւ հոս ամայի տեղ մըն ենք»:
And, the day, began to decline; and the twelve, coming near, said to him—Dismiss the multitude, that, going into the surrounding villages and hamlets, they may lodge, and find provisions; because, here, in a desert place, are we.
13 Ըսաւ անոնց. «Դո՛ւք անոնց կերակուր տուէք»: Անոնք ալ ըսին. «Մենք հինգ նկանակէն ու երկու ձուկէն աւելի բան չունինք, եթէ չերթանք այդ ամբողջ ժողովուրդին համար կերակուր չգնենք»:
But he said unto them—Give, ye, them to eat. They, however, said—We have not more than five loaves, and two fishes, —unless perhaps, we, should go, and buy food, for all this people.
14 (Արդարեւ հինգ հազարի չափ այր մարդիկ կային: ) Ըսաւ իր աշակերտներուն. «Նստեցուցէ՛ք ատոնք՝ յիսունական շարքերով»:
For there were about five thousand men. And he said unto his disciples—Make them recline, in companies of about fifty each.
15 Այդպէս ըրին, ու բոլորն ալ նստեցուցին:
And they did so, —and made, one and all, recline.
16 Ինք ալ առաւ այդ հինգ նկանակներն ու երկու ձուկերը, դէպի երկինք նայելով՝ օրհնեց զանոնք, կտրեց ու տուաւ աշակերտներուն, որպէսզի հրամցնեն բազմութեան:
And, taking the five loaves, and the two fishes, looking up into heaven, he blessed them, and brake [them] up, and went on giving to the disciples, to set before the multitude;
17 Կերան, բոլորն ալ կշտացան, եւ վերցնելով աւելցած բեկորները՝ տասներկու կողով լեցուցին:
and they did all eat and were filled. And that which remained over to them, was taken up, —of broken pieces, twelve baskets.
18 Երբ ինք առանձին կ՚աղօթէր, աշակերտները իրեն հետ էին, եւ հարցուց անոնց. «Բազմութիւնները ինծի համար ի՞նչ կ՚ըսեն, ո՞վ եմ»:
And, it came to pass, when he was praying in solitude, the disciples, were with him. And he questioned them, saying—Who do the multitudes say that I am?
19 Անոնք ալ պատասխանեցին. «Ոմանք՝ Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչը, ուրիշներ՝ Եղիան, ուրիշներ ալ՝ նախկին մարգարէներէն մէկը, որ յարութիւն առած է»:
And they, answering, said John the Immerser; But some, Elijah, and others, that, some prophet of the ancients, hath arisen.
20 Ինք ըսաւ անոնց. «Իսկ դո՛ւք ի՞նչ կ՚ըսէք, ո՞վ եմ»: Պետրոս պատասխանեց. «Աստուծոյ Քրիստո՛սը»:
And he said to them—But who say, ye, that I am? And, Peter, answering, said—The Christ of God!
21 Յիսուս ազդարարեց անոնց, ու պատուիրեց որ ո՛չ մէկուն ըսեն այս բանը:
He, however, sternly admonishing them, gave charge that, unto no one, should they be telling this;
22 Եւ ըսաւ. «Պէտք է որ մարդու Որդին շատ չարչարանքներ կրէ, մերժուի երէցներէն, քահանայապետներէն եւ դպիրներէն, սպաննուի ու յարութիւն առնէ երրորդ օրը»:
saying—The Son of Man must needs suffer, many things, and be rejected by the Elders and High priests and Scribes, and be slain, —and, on the third day, arise.
23 Եւ կ՚ըսէր բոլորին. «Եթէ մէկը ուզէ գալ իմ ետեւէս՝ թող ուրանայ ինքզինք, ամէն օր վերցնէ իր խաչը ու հետեւի ինծի.
And he was saying, unto all—If any one intendeth after me to come, Let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, —and be following me.
24 որովհետեւ ո՛վ որ ուզէ փրկել իր անձը՝ պիտի կորսնցնէ զայն, իսկ ո՛վ որ կորսնցնէ իր անձը՝ ինծի համար, պիտի փրկէ զայն:
For, whosoever intendeth, his life, to save, shall lose it; but, whosoever shall lose his life for my sake, the same, shall save it?
25 Քանի որ մարդ ի՞նչ օգուտ կ՚ունենայ, եթէ շահի ամբողջ աշխարհը բայց կորսնցնէ ինքզինք, կամ տուժէ:
For what doth a man profit, who hath gained the whole world, but hath lost, or been made to forfeit, himself?
26 Որովհետեւ ո՛վ որ ամօթ սեպէ զիս եւ իմ խօսքերս դաւանիլը, մարդու Որդին ալ ամօթ պիտի սեպէ զայն դաւանիլը՝ երբ գայ իր ու Հօր եւ սուրբ հրեշտակներուն փառքով:
For, whosoever shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, of him, the Son of Man, will be ashamed, whensoever he shall come in his glory, and that of the Father, and of the holy messengers.
27 Բայց ճշմա՛րտապէս կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Հոս կայնողներէն կան ոմանք՝ որ մահ պիտի չհամտեսեն, մինչեւ որ տեսնեն Աստուծոյ թագաւորութիւնը”»:
But I tell you of a truth—There, are, some of those, here, standing, who shall in nowise taste of death, until they see the kingdom of God.
28 Այս խօսքերէն գրեթէ ութ օր ետք՝ առնելով Պետրոսը, Յովհաննէսն ու Յակոբոսը՝ լեռը ելաւ աղօթելու:
And it came to pass, after these words, about eight days, taking with him Peter and John and James, he went up into the mountain to pray.
29 Մինչ կ՚աղօթէր, իր երեսին տեսքը փոխուեցաւ, եւ իր պատմուճանը ճերմակ ու փայլուն եղաւ:
And it came to pass, while he was praying, that, the appearance of his face, was changed, and, his clothing, became white, effulgent.
30 Եւ ահա՛ երկու մարդիկ կը խօսակցէին իրեն հետ. անոնք֊ Մովսէսն ու Եղիան,
And lo! two men, were conversing with him, who, indeed, were Moses and Elijah, —
31 փառքով երեւցած, եւ կը խօսէին անոր այս կեանքէն մեկնումին մասին, որ պիտի իրագործուէր Երուսաղէմի մէջ:
who, appearing in glory, were speaking as to his departure, which he was about to fulfil in Jerusalem.
32 Պետրոս ու անոր հետ եղողները քունով ծանրացած էին. երբ արթնցան, տեսան անոր փառքը եւ այդ երկու մարդիկը՝ որ անոր քով կեցած էին:
Now, Peter, and they who were with him, had become heavy with sleep; but, waking up, they saw his glory, and the two men who were standing with him.
33 Երբ անոնք զատուեցան անոր քովէն, Պետրոս ըսաւ Յիսուսի. «Վարդապե՛տ, լաւ է որ կենանք հոս եւ շինենք երեք վրան, մէկը՝ քեզի, մէկը՝ Մովսէսի ու մէկը՝ Եղիայի». որովհետեւ չէր գիտեր թէ ի՛նչ կը խօսէր:
And it came to pass, when they were being parted from him, Peter said unto Jesus—Master! it is, delightful, for us to be, here: Let us, therefore, make three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: —not knowing what he said.
34 Մինչ այսպէս կը խօսէր, ամպ մը եկաւ եւ հովանի եղաւ անոնց վրայ. ու երբ անոնք ամպին տակ մտան՝ վախցան:
Now, while he was saying these things, there came a cloud, and it began to overshadow them, —and they were overcome with fear as they entered into the cloud.
35 Ձայն մը եկաւ ամպէն՝ ըսելով. «Ա՛յս է իմ սիրելի Որդիս, անո՛ր մտիկ ըրէք»:
And, a voice, came out of the cloud, saying—This, is my Son, the Chosen One: Unto him, be hearkening.
36 Երբ լսեցին այդ ձայնը՝ Յիսուս մինակ մնաց: Իրենք ալ լուռ կեցան, եւ այդ օրերը ո՛չ մէկուն բան մը պատմեցին իրենց տեսածներէն:
And, when the voice came, there was found, Jesus alone. And they held their peace, and, unto no one, reported they, in those days, any of the things which they had seen.
37 Հետեւեալ օրը, երբ անոնք լեռնէն վար իջան, մեծ բազմութիւն մը դիմաւորեց զայն:
And it came to pass, on the next day, when they came down from the mountain, that there met him a great multitude.
38 Բազմութենէն մարդ մը գոչեց. «Վարդապե՛տ, կ՚աղերսե՜մ քեզի, նայէ՛ որդիիս, քանի որ իմ մէկ հատիկս է:
And lo! a man from the multitude, uttered a cry, saying—Teacher! I beg of thee, to look upon my son, because, my only begotten, he is.
39 Ահա՛ ոգի մը կը բռնէ զինք, ինք ալ յանկարծ կ՚աղաղակէ. ոգին զինք ցնցելով կը փրփրցնէ, ու հազիւ կը հեռանայ իրմէ՝ ջախջախելով զինք:
And lo! a spirit, taketh him, and, suddenly, he crieth out, —and it convulseth him—with foaming, and with difficulty departeth from him, sorely bruising him.
40 Աղերսեցի քու աշակերտներուդ՝ որ դուրս հանեն զայն, բայց չկրցան»:
And I begged of thy disciples, that they would cast it out, and they could not.
41 Յիսուս պատասխանեց. «Ո՛վ անհաւատ ու խոտորեալ սերունդ, մինչեւ ե՞րբ ձեզի հետ պիտի ըլլամ եւ ձեզի հանդուրժեմ: Հո՛ս բեր որդիդ»:
And, making answer, Jesus said—O faithless and perverted generation! how long shall I be with you, and bear with you? Bring, hither, thy son.
42 Երբ կը մօտենար, դեւը գետին զարկաւ զայն ու սաստիկ ցնցեց:
And, while yet he was coming, the demon tare him, and mangled him. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, and healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.
43 Իսկ Յիսուս սաստեց անմաքուր ոգին, բժշկեց պատանին եւ տուաւ զայն իր հօր:
And they were all being struck with astonishment, at the majesty of God. And, while all were marvelling at all things which he was doing, he said unto his disciples:
44 Բոլորը կ՚ապշէին Աստուծոյ մեծամեծ գործերուն վրայ: Մինչ բոլորն ալ կը սքանչանային Յիսուսի բոլոր ըրածներուն վրայ, ան ըսաւ իր աշակերտներուն. «Դուք այս խօսքերը ձեր մի՛տքը պահեցէք՝՝, որովհետեւ մարդու Որդին պիտի մատնուի մարդոց ձեռքը»:
Lay, ye, up in your ears, these words; for, the Son of Man, is about to be delivered up, into the hands of men.
45 Բայց անոնք չէին հասկնար այս խօսքը, եւ անոնցմէ ծածկուած էր՝ որպէսզի չըմբռնեն. ու կը վախնային հարցնել իրեն այդ խօսքին մասին:
But, they, understood not this saying, and it had become veiled from them, that they might not grasp it, —and they were afraid to question him, concerning this saying.
46 Մտածում մըն ալ ծագեցաւ անոնց մէջ, թէ արդեօք ո՛վ է մեծագոյնը իրենց մէջ:
But there entered a reasoning among them, as to who of them should be greatest.
47 Յիսուս ըմբռնելով անոնց սիրտին մտածումը՝ առաւ մանուկ մը, կայնեցուց զայն իր քով,
And, Jesus, perceiving the reasoning of their heart, taking a child, placed it near himself, —
48 ու ըսաւ անոնց. «Ո՛վ որ կ՚ընդունի այս մանուկը իմ անունովս՝ զի՛ս կ՚ընդունի, եւ ո՛վ որ զիս կ՚ընդունի՝ զիս ղրկո՛ղը կ՚ընդունի. որովհետեւ ա՛ն որ ամենէն պզտիկն է ձեր բոլորին մէջ, անիկա՛ պիտի ըլլայ մեծը»:
and said unto them—Whosoever shall give welcome unto this child, on my name, unto me, giveth welcome; and, whosoever, unto me, giveth welcome, giveth welcome unto him that sent me forth. For, he who is least among you all, the same, is, great.
49 Յովհաննէս ըսաւ. «Վարդապե՛տ, մէկը տեսանք որ դեւեր կը հանէր քու անունովդ, եւ արգիլեցինք զայն՝ քանի որ մեզի չի հետեւիր»:
But John, answering, said—Master! we saw some one, in thy name, casting out demons, —and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us.
50 Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Մի՛ արգիլէք, որովհետեւ ա՛ն որ մեզի հակառակ չէ, մեր՝՝ կողմէն է»:
And Jesus said unto him—Do not forbid; for, whosoever is not against you, is, for you.
51 Երբ իր աշխարհէն վերանալու ժամանակը հասաւ՝՝, հաստատապէս որոշեց՝՝ Երուսաղէմ երթալ:
And it came to pass, when the days for taking him up were on the point of being fulfilled, even he himself, set, his face, to be journeying unto Jerusalem;
52 Եւ իր առջեւէն ղրկեց պատգամաւորներ, որոնք երբ գացին՝ մտան Սամարացիներուն մէկ գիւղը, որպէսզի պատրաստութիւն տեսնեն իրեն համար:
and he sent messengers before his face, —and, taking their journey, they entered into a village of Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.
53 Բայց չընդունեցին զայն, որովհետեւ անոր երեսը դէպի Երուսաղէմ ուղղուած էր:
And they welcomed him not, because, his face, was for journeying unto Jerusalem.
54 Երբ իր աշակերտները՝ Յակոբոս ու Յովհաննէս՝ տեսան ասիկա, ըսին անոր. «Տէ՛ր, կ՚ուզե՞ս որ ըսենք, որպէսզի երկինքէն կրակ իջնէ եւ սպառէ զանոնք, ինչպէս Եղիա ալ ըրաւ»:
And the disciples James and John, seeing it, said—Lord! wilt thou, that we bid fire come down from heaven, and destroy them?
55 Դարձաւ ու յանդիմանեց զանոնք՝ ըսելով. «Չէք գիտեր թէ ի՛նչ հոգիի տէր էք.
But, turning, he rebuked them.
56 որովհետեւ մարդու Որդին եկաւ ո՛չ թէ մարդոց անձերը կորսնցնելու, հապա՝ փրկելու՝՝»: Եւ ուրիշ գիւղ մը գացին:
And they journeyed into a different village.
57 Երբ անոնք ճամբան կ՚երթային, մէկը ըսաւ անոր. «Տէ՛ր, պիտի հետեւիմ քեզի՝ ո՛ւր որ երթաս»:
And, as they were journeying on the road, one said unto him—I will follow thee, whithersoever thou shalt depart.
58 Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Աղուէսները որջեր ունին, ու երկինքի թռչունները՝ բոյներ, բայց մարդու Որդին տե՛ղ մը չունի՝ ուր հանգչեցնէ իր գլուխը»:
And Jesus said unto him—the foxes, have, dens, and, the birds of heaven, nests; but, the Son of Man, hath not where, his head, he may recline.
59 Ուրիշի մըն ալ ըսաւ. «Հետեւէ՛ ինծի»: Իսկ ան ըսաւ. «Տէ՛ր, արտօնէ՛ ինծի, որ նախ երթամ՝ թաղեմ հայրս»:
And he said unto another—Be following me! But, he, said—Suffer me, first, to depart, and bury my father.
60 Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Թո՛ղ մեռելներուն՝ թաղել իրենց մեռելները, իսկ դուն գնա՛ ու քարոզէ՛ Աստուծոյ թագաւորութիւնը»:
And he said unto him—Leave, the dead, to bury their own dead; but, thou, departing, be declaring the kingdom of God.
61 Ուրիշ մըն ալ ըսաւ. «Տէ՛ր, պիտի հետեւիմ քեզի. բայց արտօնէ՛ որ նախ հրաժեշտ առնեմ տանս մէջ եղողներէն»:
And, yet another, said—I will follow thee, Lord; But, first, suffer me to bid adieu to them that are in my house.
62 Յիսուս ըսաւ անոր. «Ո՛չ մէկը՝ որ կը դնէ ձեռքը մաճին վրայ ու ետեւ կը նայի՝ յարմար է Աստուծոյ թագաւորութեան»:
But Jesus said [unto him] —No one, laying the hand on a plough and looking unto the things behind, is, fit, for the kingdom of God.
