ԳԱՂԱՏԱՑԻՍ 1
1 Պօղոս, առաքեալ եղած՝ ո՛չ մարդոցմէ, ո՛չ ալ մարդու միջոցով, հապա Յիսուս Քրիստոսի միջոցով, եւ Հայր Աստուծոյ՝ որ մեռելներէն յարուցանեց զայն,
Paul an apostle (not from men, nor by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),
2 ու բոլոր եղբայրները՝ որ ինծի հետ են, Գաղատիայի եկեղեցիներուն.
and all the brethren that are with me, to the churches of Galatia:
3 շնորհք եւ խաղաղութիւն ձեզի Հայր Աստուծմէ, ու մեր Տէրոջմէն՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսէ,
grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 որ ընծայեց ինքզինք մեր մեղքերուն համար, որպէսզի ազատէ մեզ այս ներկայ չար աշխարհէն՝ Աստուծոյ եւ մեր Հօր կամքին համաձայն, (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: (aiōn g165)
6 Կը զարմանամ որ ա՛յդչափ շուտ անցած էք այն աւետարանէն՝ որ կանչեց ձեզ Քրիստոսի շնորհքին, ուրիշ աւետարանի մը.
I wonder that ye are so soon removed from him who called you by the grace of Christ to another gospel: which is not another;
7 ան ուրիշ աւետարան մը չէ, այլ կան ոմանք՝ որ կը վրդովեն ձեզ, ու կ՚ուզեն խեղաթիւրել Քրիստոսի աւետարանը:
but there be some that disturb you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ.
8 Բայց նոյնիսկ եթէ մենք, կամ երկինքէն հրեշտակ մը, քարոզէ ձեզի ուրիշ որեւէ աւետարան՝ քան զայն որ մենք քարոզեցինք ձեզի, նզովեա՛լ ըլլայ:
But tho' we or an angel from heaven should preach to you any other gospel than what we have preached to you; let him be accursed.
9 Ինչպէս նախապէս ըսինք, հիմա ալ ես դարձեալ կ՚ըսեմ. «Եթէ մէ՛կը քարոզէ ձեզի ուրիշ որեւէ աւետարան՝ քան զայն որ դուք ընդունեցիք, նզովեա՛լ ըլլայ»:
I say it again, if any one preach to you any other gospel than what ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 Որովհետեւ հիմա մարդի՞կ կը համոզեմ՝ թէ Աստուած. կամ մարդի՞կ կը ջանամ հաճեցնել: Քանի որ եթէ ես տակաւին մարդիկ հաճեցնէի, ա՛լ Քրիստոսի ծառայ չէի ըլլար:
For do I now persuade you to obey men or God? Or do I seek to please men? if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 Բայց ձեզի կը ծանուցանեմ, եղբայրնե՛ր, թէ ինձմէ քարոզուած աւետարանը՝ մարդու համաձայն չէ:
But I assure you, brethren, that the gospel preached by me is not of human invention.
12 Որովհետեւ ես զայն ո՛չ մարդէ ընդունեցի, ո՛չ ալ մէկէ մը սորվեցայ, հապա՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի յայտնութեան միջոցով:
For I neither received it, nor was taught it by man, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 Քանի որ դուք լսած էք իմ նախկին վարքիս մասին՝ հրէութեան մէջ, թէ ի՛նչպէս չափէն աւելի կը հալածէի Աստուծոյ եկեղեցին, ու կը տապալէի զայն:
For ye have heard of my conversation formerly in Judaism, that I outragiously persecuted the church of God, and laid it waste:
14 Եւ հրէութեան մէջ կը յառաջդիմէի՝ աւելի քան իմ ցեղիս մէջ եղած շատ մը հասակակիցներս, գերազանցօրէն աւելի նախանձախնդիր ըլլալով հայրերուս աւանդութիւններուն:
and I made a proficiency in Judaism above many of the same age with me in my own nation, being excessively zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 Բայց երբ Աստուած, (որ զատեց զիս մօրս որովայնէն եւ կանչեց իր շնորհքին միջոցով, )
But when it pleased God, (who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, )
16 բարեհաճեցաւ իր Որդին յայտնել ինծի, որպէսզի աւետեմ զայն հեթանոսներուն մէջ, իսկոյն՝ մարմինին եւ արիւնին հետ չխորհրդակցեցայ,
to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach Him among the gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood,
17 ո՛չ ալ Երուսաղէմ ելայ՝ ինձմէ առաջ առաքեալ եղողներուն քով, հապա Արաբիա գացի, ապա դարձեալ Դամասկոս վերադարձայ:
nor went I up to Jerusalem to those that were apostles before me, but I departed into Arabia, and afterwards returned again to Damascus.
18 Յետոյ՝ երեք տարի ետք՝ Երուսաղէմ ելայ Պետրոսը տեսնելու, եւ տասնհինգ օր անոր հետ կեցայ:
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and I staid with him fifteen days.
19 Սակայն առաքեալներէն ուրիշ ո՛չ մէկը տեսայ, այլ միայն Յակոբոսը՝ Տէրոջ եղբայրը:
But I saw no other of the apostles, except James the brother of our Lord.
20 Ինչ որ կը գրեմ ձեզի, ահա՛ Աստուծոյ առջեւ կը հաստատեմ, թէ չեմ ստեր:
(Now in what I write to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.)
21 Ապա գացի Սուրիայի ու Կիլիկիայի շրջանները:
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia,
22 Ես դէմքով անծանօթ էի Հրէաստանի մէջ եղած Քրիստոսի եկեղեցիներուն.
and was not known in person to the churches of Judea, which were in Christ.
23 անոնք միայն լսած էին թէ “ա՛ն որ ժամանակին կը հալածէր մեզ, հիմա կ՚աւետէ այն հաւատքը՝ որ ատենօք կը տապալէր”,
But only they had heard that he who persecuted us before, now preacheth the faith which he formerly would have destroyed.
24 եւ ինձմով կը փառաւորէին Աստուած:
And they glorified God on my account.
