ԳԱՂԱՏԱՑԻՍ 5

1 Ուստի հաստատո՛ւն կեցէք այն ազատութեամբ՝ որով Քրիստոս ազատեց մեզ, եւ դարձեալ ստրկութեան լուծին տակ մի՛ կաշկանդուիք:

Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Messiah has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

2 Ահա՛ ես՝ Պօղոս, ձեզի կ՚ըսեմ. «Եթէ թլփատուիք, Քրիստոս ո՛չ մէկ օգուտ կ՚ունենայ ձեզի»:

Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Messiah will profit you nothing.

3 Եւ ամէն թլփատուող մարդու դարձեալ կը վկայեմ թէ պարտաւոր է գործադրել ամբո՛ղջ Օրէնքը:

Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Քրիստոս ոչինչ դարձած է ձեզի համար, այսինքն ձեզմէ բոլոր անոնց՝ որ Օրէնքո՛վ արդարանալ կ՚ուզեն: Դուք շնորհքէն ինկած էք,

You are alienated from Messiah, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.

5 որովհետեւ մենք Հոգիին միջոցով կը սպասենք հաւատքո՛վ եղած արդարութեան յոյսին:

For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

6 Արդարեւ Քրիստոս Յիսուսի մէջ եղողին՝ ո՛չ թլփատութիւնը որեւէ ազդեցութիւն ունի, ո՛չ ալ անթլփատութիւնը, հապա հաւա՛տքը՝ որ կը ներգործէ սիրով:

For in Messiah Yeshua neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.

7 Դուք լաւ կը վազէիք. ո՞վ կասեցուց ձեզ՝ որ ճշմարտութեան չանսաք:

You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?

8 Այս դրդումը անկէ չէ՝ որ ձեզ կանչեց:

This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

9 Քիչ մը խմորը ամբո՛ղջ զանգուածը կը խմորէ:

A little yeast grows through the whole lump.

10 Բայց ես ձեր մասին համոզուած եմ Տէրոջմով, թէ բնա՛ւ ուրիշ կերպ պիտի չմտածէք: Իսկ ա՛ն որ ձեզ կը վրդովէ՝ ո՛վ որ ըլլայ՝ պիտի կրէ իր դատապարտութիւնը:

I have confidence towards you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgement, whoever he is.

11 Սակայն, եղբայրնե՛ր, ա՛լ ինչո՞ւ կը հալածուիմ, եթէ ես տակաւին թլփատութիւն կը քարոզեմ. ուրեմն խաչին գայթակղութիւնը ոչնչացա՞ծ է:

But I, brothers, if I still proclaim circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.

12 Երանի՜ թէ նոյնիսկ կտրուէին անո՛նք՝ որ ձեզ տակնուվրայ կ՚ընեն:

I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.

13 Որովհետեւ դուք ազատութեա՛ն կանչուած էք, եղբայրնե՛ր. միայն թէ ձեր ազատութիւնը մարմինի ցանկութիւններու առիթ չըլլայ, հապա սիրո՛վ իրարու ծառայեցէք:

For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

14 Քանի որ ամբողջ Օրէնքը սա՛ մէկ խօսքին մէջ կը գործադրուի. «Սիրէ՛ ընկերդ քու անձիդ՝՝ պէս»:

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”

15 Բայց եթէ զիրար խածնէք եւ լափէք, զգուշացէ՛ք որ իրարմէ չսպառիք:

But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.

16 Ուստի սա՛ կ՚ըսեմ. «Հոգիո՛վ ընթացէք, ու մարմինին ցանկութիւնը պիտի չգործադրէք»:

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 Որովհետեւ մարմինը կը ցանկայ Հոգիին հակառակ, ու Հոգին՝ մարմինին հակառակ. եւ ասոնք իրարու հակառակ են, որպէսզի չընէք ի՛նչ որ ուզէք:

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

18 Բայց եթէ Հոգիէն առաջնորդուիք, ա՛լ Օրէնքին տակ չէք ըլլար:

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Մարմինին գործերը բացայայտ են. անոնք են՝ շնութիւն, պոռնկութիւն, անմաքրութիւն, ցոփութիւն,

Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,

20 կռապաշտութիւն, կախարդութիւն, թշնամութիւն, երկպառակութիւն, մրցակցութիւններ, զայրոյթ, հակառակութիւն, խռովութիւն, հերձուածներ,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,

21 չար նախանձներ, մարդասպանութիւններ, արբեցութիւններ, զեխութիւններ եւ ինչ որ ասոնց նման է. որոնց մասին կանխաւ կ՚ըսեմ ձեզի, ինչպէս ժամանակին ալ ըսած եմ, թէ այսպիսի բաներ ընողները պիտի չժառանգեն Աստուծոյ թագաւորութիւնը:

envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practise such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

22 Բայց Հոգիին պտուղն է՝ սէր, ուրախութիւն, խաղաղութիւն, համբերատարութիւն,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

23 քաղցրութիւն, բարութիւն, հաւատարմութիւն, հեզութիւն, ժուժկալութիւն. այսպիսի բաներու դէմ Օրէնք չկայ:

gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

24 Անոնք որ Քրիստոսիններն են, իրենց մարմինը խաչեցին՝ բնական կիրքերուն ու ցանկութիւններուն հետ:

Those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

25 Եթէ Հոգիով կ՚ապրինք՝ նաեւ ընթանա՛նք Հոգիին համաձայն:

If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.

26 Սնափառ չըլլա՛նք՝ զիրար գրգռելով եւ իրարու նախանձելով:

Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
