ԵՓԵՍԱՑԻՍ 6

1 Զաւակնե՛ր, հնազանդեցէ՛ք ձեր ծնողներուն՝ Տէրոջմով, որովհետեւ ա՛յդ է իրաւացին:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

2 Պատուէ՛ հայրդ ու մայրդ, (որ առաջին պատուիրանն է խոստումով, )

“Honour your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:

3 որպէսզի բարիք ըլլայ քեզի, ու երկար ապրիս երկրի վրայ:

“that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”

4 Եւ դո՛ւք, հայրե՛ր, մի՛ բարկացնէք ձեր զաւակները, հապա մեծցուցէ՛ք զանոնք Տէրոջ կրթութեամբ ու խրատով:

You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

5 Ստրուկնե՛ր, հնազանդեցէ՛ք ձեր մարմնաւոր տէրերուն՝ ահով ու դողով, ձեր սիրտին պարզամտութեամբ, որպէս թէ Քրիստոսի.

Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ,

6 ո՛չ թէ ծառայելով աչքի առջեւ՝ մարդահաճոներու պէս, հապա Քրիստոսի՛ ստրուկներու պէս՝ սրտանց գործադրելով Աստուծոյ կամքը:

not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

7 Ծառայեցէ՛ք յօժարութեամբ, որպէս թէ Տէրոջ եւ ո՛չ թէ մարդոց,

with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men,

8 գիտնալով թէ իւրաքանչիւրը՝ ի՛նչ բարիք որ գործէ, նո՛յնը պիտի ստանայ Տէրոջմէն, ստրուկ ըլլայ թէ ազատ:

knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.

9 Իսկ դո՛ւք, տէրե՛ր, ըրէ՛ք անոնց նոյն բաները, հրաժարելով սպառնալիքէն: Գիտցէ՛ք թէ անո՛նց ալ, ձե՛ր ալ Տէրը երկինքն է, ու աչառութիւն չկայ անոր քով:

You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.

10 Վերջապէս, եղբայրնե՛րս, զօրացէ՛ք Տէրոջմով եւ անոր հզօր կարողութեամբ:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

11 Հագէ՛ք Աստուծոյ ամբողջ զրահը, որպէսզի կարենաք դիմադրել Չարախօսին հնարքներուն:

Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 Որովհետեւ մեր գօտեմարտը մարմինի եւ արիւնի հետ չէ, հապա պետութիւններու, իշխանութիւններու, այս խաւար աշխարհին՝՝ իշխանաւորներուն հետ, երկնաւոր վայրերու մէջ եղող չար ոգիներուն հետ: (aiōn g165)

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)

13 Ուստի առէ՛ք ձեր վրայ Աստուծոյ ամբողջ զրահը, որպէսզի կարենաք դիմադրել չար օրը,

Therefore put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 ու ամէն բան կատարելէ ետք՝ հաստատուն կայնիլ: Ուստի կայնեցէ՛ք ձեր տեղը՝ ձեր մէջքը գօտեպնդած ճշմարտութեամբ եւ հագած արդարութեան զրահը,

Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

15 ու ձեր ոտքերուն իբր կօշիկ անցուցած խաղաղութեան աւետարանին պատրաստութիւնը:

and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,

16 Բոլորին վրայ՝ առէ՛ք հաւատքին վահանը, որով պիտի կարենաք մարել Չարին բոլոր հրավառ նետերը.

above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

17 եւ առէ՛ք փրկութեան սաղաւարտն ու Հոգիին սուրը՝ որ Աստուծոյ խօսքն է:

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

18 Ամէն ատեն աղօթեցէ՛ք Հոգիով՝ ամէն տեսակ աղօթքով եւ աղերսանքով: Հսկեցէ՛ք ասոր վրայ բոլորովին յարատեւութեամբ ու աղերսանքով՝ բոլոր սուրբերուն համար.

with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.

19 ինծի՛ համար ալ, որպէսզի խօսք տրուի ինծի, որ համարձակութեամբ բանամ բերանս՝ գիտցնելու խորհուրդը աւետարանին,

Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,

20 որուն համար ես դեսպան մըն եմ՝ շղթաներով. որպէսզի անով համարձակութեա՛մբ խօսիմ՝ ինչպէս պէտք է խօսիմ:

for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 Բայց որպէսզի դո՛ւք ալ գիտնաք իմ մասիս՝ թէ ի՛նչ կ՚ընեմ, ամէն բան պիտի գիտցնէ ձեզի Տիւքիկոս սիրելի եղբայրն ու Տէրոջմով հաւատարիմ սպասարկուն:

But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things.

22 Զինք յատկապէս ղրկեցի ձեզի, որպէսզի գիտնաք մեր մասին, եւ ինք մխիթարէ ձեր սիրտերը:

I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state and that he may comfort your hearts.

23 Խաղաղութի՜ւն եղբայրներուն, ու սէ՜ր՝ հաւատքով միասին՝ Հայր Աստուծմէ ու Տէր Յիսուս Քրիստոսէ:

Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Շնո՜րհք բոլոր անոնց հետ՝ որ անկեղծութեամբ կը սիրեն մեր Տէրը՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսը: Ամէն:

Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
