ԿՈՂՈՍԱՑԻՍ 3
1 Ուրեմն, եթէ յարութիւն առիք Քրիստոսի հետ, փնտռեցէ՛ք այն բաները՝ որ վերն են, ուր Քրիստոս կը բազմի՝ Աստուծոյ աջ կողմը:
Since, therefore, you were raised to life with the Christ, seek for the things that are above; for it is there that the Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Մտածեցէ՛ք վերի բաներուն մասին, ո՛չ թէ երկրի վրայ եղող բաներուն մասին.
Fix your thoughts on the things that are above, not on those that are on earth.
3 որովհետեւ դուք մեռաք, ու ձեր կեանքը պահուած է Քրիստոսի հետ՝ Աստուծոյ մէջ:
For you died, and your life now lies hidden, with the Christ, in God.
4 Երբ Քրիստոս՝ մեր կեանքը՝ երեւնայ, այն ատեն դո՛ւք ալ փառքով պիտի երեւնաք՝ անոր հետ:
When the Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Ուրեմն մեռցուցէ՛ք ձեր երկրաւոր անդամները.- պոռնկութիւնը, անմաքրութիւնը, անսանձ կիրքը, չար ցանկութիւնը եւ ագահութիւնը, որ կռապաշտութիւն է:
Therefore destroy all that is earthly in you – immorality, uncleanness, passions, evil desires, and that greed which is idolatry.
6 Ասո՛նց համար Աստուծոյ բարկութիւնը կու գայ անհնազանդութեան որդիներուն վրայ,
These are the things because of which the wrath of God comes,
7 որոնց մէջ դո՛ւք ալ ժամանակին կ՚ընթանայիք, երբ կ՚ապրէիք անոնց մէջ:
and to which you, like others, once devoted your lives, when you lived for them.
8 Բայց հիմա դո՛ւք ալ թօթափեցէ՛ք սա՛ ամէնը.- բարկութիւնը, զայրոյթը, չարամտութիւնը, հայհոյութիւնը, լիրբ խօսքերը՝ ձեր բերանէն:
You, however, must now lay aside all such things – anger, passion, malice, slander, abuse.
9 Մի՛ ստէք իրարու. հանեցէ՛ք ձեր վրայէն հին մարդը՝ իր գործերով,
Never lie to one another. Get rid of your old self and its habits,
10 ու հագէ՛ք այն նորը, որ նորոգուած է գիտակցութեամբ՝ իր Արարիչին պատկերին համաձայն,
and clothe yourselves with that new self, which, as it gains in knowledge, is being constantly renewed in resemblance to him who made it.
11 եւ որուն մէջ ո՛չ Յոյն կայ, ո՛չ ալ Հրեայ, թլփատութիւն կամ անթլփատութիւն, օտար, Սկիւթացի, ստրուկ կամ ազատ. հապա Քրիստոս է ամէն ինչ, եւ բոլորին մէջ:
In that new life there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all! – and in all!
12 Ուրեմն, որպէս Աստուծոյ ընտրեալներ՝ սուրբ ու սիրելի, հագէ՛ք գութը, կարեկցութիւնը, քաղցրութիւնը, խոնարհութիւնը, հեզութիւնը, համբերատարութիւնը,
Therefore, as God’s people, consecrated and dear to him, clothe yourselves with tenderness of heart, kindliness, humility, gentleness, forbearance;
13 հանդուրժելով իրարու եւ ներելով իրարու՝ եթէ մէկը տրտունջ մը ունենայ միւսին դէմ. ինչպէս Քրիստոս ներեց ձեզի, նոյնպէս ալ դո՛ւք ներեցէք:
bearing with one another, and, when there is any ground for complaint, forgiving one another freely. As the Master freely forgave you, so you must forgive one another.
14 Եւ այս բոլոր բաներուն վրայ՝ հագէ՛ք սէրը, որ կատարելութեան կապն է:
Over all these virtues put on love; for that is the belt which makes all complete.
15 Ձեր սիրտերուն մէջ թող հովանաւորէ Աստուծոյ խաղաղութիւնը, որուն ալ կանչուեցաք՝ մէկ մարմինով, ու շնորհակա՛լ եղէք:
Let the peace that the Christ gives decide all doubts within your hearts; for you also were called to the enjoyment of peace as members of one body. And show yourselves thankful.
16 Քրիստոսի խօսքը ճոխութեա՛մբ թող բնակի ձեր մէջ, որպէսզի ամբողջ իմաստութեամբ սորվեցնէք իրարու եւ խրատէք զիրար՝ սաղմոսներով, օրհներգերով ու հոգեւոր երգերով, շնորհակալութեամբ երգելով Աստուծոյ՝ ձեր սիրտերուն մէջ:
Let the message of the Christ be alive in your minds in all its wealth, bringing all wisdom with it. Teach and admonish one another with psalms, and hymns, and sacred songs, full of the loving kindness of God, lifting your hearts in song to him.
17 Եւ ամէն ինչ որ կ՚ընէք, թէ՛ խօսքով եւ թէ գործով, ըրէ՛ք Տէր Յիսուսի անունով, շնորհակալ ըլլալով Աստուծմէ ու Հօրմէն՝ անոր միջոցով:
And, whatever you say or do, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus; and through him offer thanksgiving to God the father.
18 Կինե՛ր, հպատակեցէ՛ք ձեր ամուսիններուն, ինչպէս կը պատշաճի Տէրոջմով:
Wives, submit to your husbands, as befits those who belong to the Lord.
19 Ամուսիննե՛ր, սիրեցէ՛ք ձեր կիները եւ մի՛ դառնանաք անոնց դէմ:
Husbands, love your wives, and never treat them harshly.
20 Զաւակնե՛ր, հնազանդեցէ՛ք ձեր ծնողներուն ամէն բանի մէջ, որովհետեւ ա՛յդ է Տէրոջ հաճելին:
Children, always obey your parents; for that is pleasant to see in those who belong to the Lord.
21 Հայրե՛ր, մի՛ գրգռէք ձեր զաւակները, որպէսզի չվհատին:
Fathers, never irritate your children, otherwise they might become disheartened.
22 Ստրուկնե՛ր, հնազանդեցէ՛ք ձեր մարմնաւոր տէրերուն ամէն բանի մէջ. ո՛չ թէ աչքի առջեւ ծառայելով՝ մարդահաճոներու պէս, հապա՝ պարզամտութեամբ, Տէրոջմէ՛ն վախնալով:
Slaves, always obey your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you, as if you had but to please people alone, but giving them ungrudging service, in your respect for the Master.
23 Ի՛նչ որ կ՚ընէք՝ սրտա՛նց ըրէք, որպէս թէ Տէրոջ եւ ո՛չ թէ մարդոց,
Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as if working for the Master and not for people,
24 գիտնալով թէ Տէրոջմէ՛ն պիտի ստանաք ժառանգութեան հատուցումը, որովհետեւ Տէր Քրիստոսի՛ կը ծառայէք:
since you know that it is from the Master that you will receive the inheritance which will be your reward. You are serving Christ, the Master.
25 Բայց անիրաւը պիտի ստանայ իր անիրաւութեան պատիժը, եւ աչառութիւն չկայ:
Those who do wrong will reap the wrong they have done; and there will be no partiality.
