ԳՈՐԾՔ ԱՌԱՔԵԼՈՑ 25
1 Երբ Փեստոս հասաւ իր իշխանութեան գաւառը, երեք օր ետք բարձրացաւ Կեսարիայէն Երուսաղէմ:
Festus therefore having arrived in the province after three days he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea,
2 Քահանայապետն ու Հրեաներուն գլխաւորներն ալ յայտնեցին անոր իրենց ամբաստանութիւնը՝ Պօղոսի դէմ,
Made a presentation (then *N+kO) before him (the *N+kO) (chief priests *N+KO) and the chiefs of the Jews against Paul and they were begging him
3 եւ աղաչեցին իրեն ու շնորհք խնդրեցին անոր դէմ՝ որ Երուսաղէմ կանչէ զայն. մինչ իրենք դարան կը պատրաստէին՝ ճամբան սպաննելու համար զայն:
asking a favor against him, that he may summon him to Jerusalem, an ambush forming to execute him on the way.
4 Սակայն Փեստոս պատասխանեց թէ Պօղոս պահուելու էր Կեսարիա, եւ թէ ինք շուտով պիտի մեկնէր հոն:
Indeed therefore Festus answered that is to be kept Paul (in Caesarea, *N+kO) he himself however ensuing with speed to set out;
5 Ուստի ըսաւ. «Ձեզմէ անոնք որ կարող են՝ թող իջնեն ինծի հետ, ու եթէ յանցանք մը կայ այդ մարդուն վրայ՝ թող ամբաստանեն զինք»:
Those therefore among you he says [in] power having gone down too, if anything there is in the man wrong, they should accuse him.
6 Հոն ութ կամ տասը օրէ աւելի չկեցաւ՝՝, յետոյ իջաւ Կեսարիա. հետեւեալ օրը դատարանը բազմեցաւ եւ հրամայեց որ բերեն Պօղոսը:
Having spent then with them days (not *NO) more (than eight *NO) or ten, having gone down to Caesarea, on the next day having sat on the judgment seat he commanded Paul to be brought.
7 Երբ ան եկաւ, Երուսաղէմէն իջնող Հրեաները անոր շուրջը կայնեցան ու Պօղոսի վրայ բարդեցին բազմաթիւ եւ ծանր ամբաստանութիւններ, որ չէին կրնար ապացուցանել:
When was arriving then he they stood around (him *NO) the from Jerusalem having come down Jews many and weighty charges (presenting *N+kO) (concerning Paul *K) which not they were able to prove,
8 Արդարեւ Պօղոս կը ջատագովէր ինքզինք՝ ըսելով. «Ես ո՛չ Հրեաներու Օրէնքին, ո՛չ տաճարին, ո՛չ ալ կայսրին դէմ մեղանչած եմ»:
(Paul *no) was presenting a defense (of him *k) that Neither [I sinned] against the law of the Jews nor [I sinned] against the temple nor against Caesar [in] anything have I sinned.
9 Բայց Փեստոս, ուզելով Հրեաներուն շնորհք ընել, պատասխանեց Պօղոսի. «Կ՚ուզե՞ս բարձրանալ Երուսաղէմ ու հոն դատուիլ իմ առջեւս՝ այդ բաներուն համար»:
Festus however wishing from the Jews a favor to lay, answering Paul said; Are you willing to Jerusalem having gone up there concerning these things (to be judged *N+kO) before me?
10 Պօղոս ալ ըսաւ. «Կայսրին դատարանը կայնած եմ, ուր պէտք է դատուիմ: Հրեաները անիրաւած չեմ, ինչպէս դուն ալ լաւ գիտես:
Said then Paul; Before the judgment seat of Caesar standing I am, where me it behooves to be judged. To [the] Jews no [thing] (I have done wrong, *NK+o) as also you yourself very well know;
11 Արդարեւ եթէ անիրաւած եմ կամ ըրած եմ մահուան արժանի բան մը, չեմ մերժեր մեռնիլ: Բայց եթէ իմ վրաս ո՛չ մէկը կայ այն բաներէն՝ որոնց համար ասոնք կ՚ամբաստանեն զիս, ո՛չ մէկը կրնայ յանձնել զիս ատոնց: Կայսրի՛ն կը բողոքեմ»:
If indeed (therefore *N+kO) I do wrong and worthy of death have done anything, not I do refuse to die; If however no [thing] there is of which they [can] accuse me, no [one] me can to them giving up. To Caesar I appeal!
12 Այն ատեն Փեստոս՝ խօսակցելէ ետք խորհրդականներուն հետ՝ պատասխանեց. «Կայսրի՛ն բողոքեցիր. կայսրի՛ն պիտի երթաս»:
Then Festus having conferred with the Council answered; To Caesar You have appealed, to Caesar you will go!
13 Քանի մը օր անցնելէ ետք, Ագրիպպաս թագաւորը եւ Բերինիկէ եկան Կեսարիա՝ բարեւելու Փեստոսը:
When days now having passed some Agrippa the king and Bernice came down to Caesarea (greeting *N+kO) Festus.
14 Երբ շատ օրեր մնացին հոն, Փեստոս ներկայացուց թագաւորին Պօղոսի պարագան՝ ըսելով. «Հոս մարդ մը կայ՝ որ Փելիքս բանտարկուած ձգած է:
As now many days (they were staying *NK+o) there, Festus to the king laid before the [things] relating to Paul saying; A man certain there is left by Felix [as] a prisoner,
15 Երբ Երուսաղէմ գացի, քահանայապետներն ու Հրեաներուն երէցները յայտնեցին ինծի իրենց ամբաստանութիւնը, դատապարտութեան վճիռ խնդրելով անոր դէմ:
concerning whom having been of me in Jerusalem made a presentation the chief priests and the elders of the Jews asking against him (penalty; *N+kO)
16 Անոնց պատասխանեցի թէ Հռոմայեցիներուն սովորութիւնը չէ մահուան մատնել մարդ մը, մինչեւ որ ամբաստանեալը իր դիմաց չունենայ ամբաստանողները, եւ պատեհութիւն չտրուի իրեն՝ ջատագովելու ինքզինք այդ յանցանքին դէմ:
to whom I answered that not it is [the] custom with Romans to give up any man (into punishment *K) before than the [one] being accused to face he would be [able] the accusers [the] opportunity and of defense he would have concerning the accusation.
17 Ուստի երբ անոնք համախմբուեցան հոս, առանց որեւէ յետաձգումի՝ հետեւեալ օրը դատարանը բազմելով հրամայեցի որ բերեն մարդը:
When were assembling therefore they here delay no having made, on the next [day] having sat on the judgment seat I commanded to be brought the man;
18 Անոր ամբաստանողներն ալ ներկայանալով՝ իմ ենթադրած ամբաստանութիւններէս ո՛չ մէկը յառաջ բերին.
concerning whom having stood up the accusers no charge (were bringing *N+kO) of which I myself was suspect (crimes; *N+O)
19 Հապա անոր հետ ունէին քանի մը հարցեր՝ իրենց կրօնին վերաբերեալ, ու Յիսուս անունով մեռածի մը մասին, որուն համար Պօղոս կը հաւաստէր թէ ողջ է:
Questions however certain concerning the own religion they had against him and concerning a certain Jesus having died whom was affirming Paul to be alive.
20 Մինչ կը վարանէի այսպիսի հարցերու քննութեան համար, ըսի իրեն թէ կ՚ուզէ՛ր երթալ Երուսաղէմ եւ հո՛ն դատուիլ այս բաներուն համար:
Being perplexed now I myself (into *k) concerning (these *N+kO) inquiry was asking if he would be willing to go to Jerusalem and there and there to be judged concerning these things.
21 Բայց երբ Պօղոս բողոքեց որ վերապահուի՝ Օգոստափառ կայսրին դիմաց ելլելու, հրամայեցի որ պահեն զինք՝ մինչեւ որ ղրկեմ կայսրին»:
But Paul having appealed for to be kept himself for the Emperor's decision I commanded to be kept him until that (I may return *N+kO) him to Caesar.
22 Ագրիպպաս ըսաւ Փեստոսի. «Ե՛ս ալ կ՚ուզէի մտիկ ընել այդ մարդուն»: Ան ալ ըսաւ. «Վաղը մտիկ կ՚ընես»:
Agrippa then to Festus (was saying: *k) I was wanting also myself the man to hear. (now *k) Tomorrow he says you will hear him.
23 Հետեւեալ օրը, երբ Ագրիպպաս ու Բերինիկէ եկան մեծ հանդէսով եւ մտան ունկնդրութեան տեղը՝ հազարապետներուն ու քաղաքին պատուաւոր մարդոց հետ, Փեստոս հրամայեց որ Պօղոսը բերուի:
On the therefore next day when was coming Agrippa and Bernice with great pomp and having entered into the audience hall with both (to the *k) commanders and to men who in prominence (being *k) in the city and when was commanding Festus was brought in Paul.
24 Փեստոս ըսաւ. «Ագրիպպա՛ս թագաւոր, եւ դո՛ւք ալ՝ բոլոր մարդիկ՝ որ մեզի հետ ներկայ էք, կը տեսնէ՛ք ասիկա՝ որուն մասին Հրեաներուն ամբողջ բազմութիւնը գանգատեցաւ ինծի Երուսաղէմի մէջ եւ հոս ալ, ու կը գոռային թէ “ա՛լ պէտք չէ որ ան ապրի”:
And says Festus; Agrippa King and all you who [are] (being present with *NK+o) us men, you see this one concerning whom (all *N+kO) the multitude of the Jews (they pleaded *NK+o) with me in both Jerusalem and here (crying [that] *N+kO) not needing of him to live no longer.
25 Բայց ես ըմբռնեցի թէ ան մահուան արժանի ոչինչ ըրած է. եւ քանի որ ինք բողոքեց Օգոստափառ կայսր ին, որոշեցի որ ղրկեմ զայն:
I myself however (having grasped *N+kO) nothing worthy him of death to have done, (and *k) himself and of this one having appealed to the Emperor I determined to send (him. *k)
26 Անոր մասին ստոյգ բան մը չունիմ գրելու իմ տիրոջս. ուստի ներկայացուցի զայն ձեզի, եւ մա՛նաւանդ քեզի՛, Ագրիպպա՛ս թագաւոր, որպէսզի ունենամ գրելիք բան մը՝ հարցաքննելէ ետք.
concerning whom definite anything to write to [my] lord not I have, Therefore I have brought him before you all and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that when the examination having taken place I may have something (I may write; *N+kO)
27 որովհետեւ ինծի անտրամաբանական կը թուի ղրկել բանտարկեալ մը՝ առանց նաեւ մատնանշելու անոր վրայ բարդուած յանցանքները»:
Absurd for to me it seems [in] sending a prisoner not also the against him charges to specify.
