ԵՐԿՐՈՐԴ ԿՈՐՆԹԱՑԻՍ 12
1 Պարծենալ՝ ի՛րապէս օգտակար չէ ինծի. սակայն պիտի գամ Տէրոջ տեսիլքներուն եւ յայտնութիւններուն:
I must boast, but nothing is gained by it. But I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.
2 Կը ճանչնամ մարդ մը Քրիստոսով՝ աւելի քան տասնչորս տարի առաջ. (արդեօք մարմինո՞վ էր, չեմ գիտեր. արդեօք մարմինէն դո՞ւրս էր, չեմ գիտեր. Աստուա՛ծ գիտէ.) այդպիսի մէկը յափշտակուեցաւ մինչեւ երրորդ երկինքը:
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago who—whether in the body or out of the body, I do not know, God knows—was caught up into the third heaven.
3 Եւ գիտեմ թէ այդպիսի մարդ մը, (արդեօք մարմինո՞վ էր թէ մարմինէն դուրս էր, չեմ գիտեր, Աստուա՛ծ գիտէ, )
And I know that this man—whether in the body, or out of the body, I do not know, God knows—
4 յափշտակուեցաւ դրախտը ու լսեց անճառելի խօսքեր, որոնց մասին մարդու մը համար արտօնուած չէ խօսիլ:
was caught up into paradise and heard things too sacred for anyone to say.
5 Ես պիտի պարծենամ այդպիսի մէկով. սակայն պիտի չպարծենամ ես ինձմով, բայց միայն իմ տկարութիւններովս:
On behalf of such a person I will boast. But on behalf of myself I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.
6 Որովհետեւ՝ նոյնիսկ եթէ ուզեմ պարծենալ՝ անմիտ պիտի չըլլամ, քանի որ պիտի ըսեմ ճշմարտութիւնը. բայց կը խնայեմ խօսքս՝ որ ո՛չ մէկը իմ վրաս աւելի համարում ունենայ, քան ինչ որ կը տեսնէ իմ վրաս կամ կը լսէ իմ մասիս:
If I should choose to boast, I will not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I will keep from boasting, so that no one will think more of me than what he sees in me or hears from me.
7 Եւ որպէսզի չափէն աւելի չպանծամ յայտնութիւններուն գերազանցութեամբ, մարմինի փուշ մը տրուեցաւ ինծի, Սատանայի պատգամաւոր մը՝ կռփահարելու համար զիս, որպէսզի չպանծամ չափէն աւելի:
To keep me from boasting because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger from Satan to afflict me—so I would not become overly proud.
8 Ասոր համար երեք անգամ աղաչեցի Տէրոջ, որ հեռանայ ինձմէ:
Three times I begged the Lord about this, for him to take it away from me.
9 Բայց ըսաւ ինծի. «Իմ շնորհքս կը բաւէ քեզի, որովհետեւ իմ զօրութիւնս կ՚իրագործուի տկարութեան մէջ»: Ուրեմն մեծ հաճոյքով պիտի պարծենամ առաւելապէս իմ տկարութիւններո՛վս, որպէսզի Քրիստոսի զօրութիւնը հանգչի իմ վրաս:
But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So I would much rather boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ might reside on me.
10 Ուստի կը յօժարիմ տկարութիւններու, արհամարհանքներու, հարկադրանքներու, հալածանքներու եւ տագնապներու՝ Քրիստոսի համար, որովհետեւ երբ տկար եմ՝ ա՛յն ատեն զօրաւոր եմ:
Therefore I am content for Christ's sake in weaknesses, in insults, in troubles, in persecutions and distressing situations. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
11 Ես անմիտ եղայ պարծենալով. դո՛ւք հարկադրեցիք զիս. որովհետեւ ե՛ս պարտաւոր էի յանձնարարուած ըլլալ ձեզմէ, քանի որ ոչինչո՛վ ետ կը մնամ գերագոյն առաքեալներէն, թէպէտ ես ոչինչ եմ:
I have become a fool! You forced me to this, for I should have been praised by you. For I was not at all inferior to the so-called super-apostles, even though I am nothing.
12 Ի՛րապէս առաքեալի մը նշանները գործուեցան ձեր մէջ՝ ամբողջ համբերութեամբ, նշաններով, սքանչելիքներով եւ հրաշքներով:
The true signs of an apostle were performed among you with complete patience, signs and wonders and mighty deeds.
13 Որովհետեւ ինչո՞վ ետ մնացիք միւս եկեղեցիներէն, բացի անով՝ որ ես բեռ չեղայ ձեզի: Ներեցէ՛ք ինծի այս անիրաւութիւնը:
For how were you less important than the rest of the churches, except that I was not a burden to you? Forgive me for this wrong!
14 Ահա՛ այս երրորդ անգամն է որ պատրաստ եմ գալու ձեզի. բայց բեռ պիտի չըլլամ ձեզի, որովհետեւ կը փնտռեմ ո՛չ թէ ձեր ունեցածը, հապա՝ ձե՛զ: Քանի որ զաւակները պարտաւոր չեն գանձ դիզել ծնողներուն համար, հապա ծնողնե՛րը՝ զաւակներուն համար:
Look! I am ready to come to you a third time. I will not be a burden to you, for I do not want what is yours. I want you. For children should not save up for the parents. Instead, the parents should save up for the children.
15 Ու ես մեծ հաճոյքով պիտի ծախսեմ եւ ծախսուիմ ալ ձեզի համար, թէեւ նուազ սիրուիմ ձեզմէ՝ մինչ շա՛տ աւելի կը սիրեմ ձեզ:
I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
16 Սակայն ա՛յդպէս թող ըլլայ, ես ձեզ չծանրաբեռնեցի. բայց թերեւս մէկը ըսէ թէ խորամանկ ըլլալով՝ նենգութեամբ բռնեցի ձեզ:
But as it is, I did not burden you. But, since I am so crafty, I am the one who caught you by deceit.
17 Միթէ ձեզ կեղեքեցի՞ ոեւէ մէկուն միջոցով՝ որ ղրկեցի ձեզի:
Did I take advantage of you by anyone I sent to you?
18 Աղաչեցի Տիտոսի, ու եղբայր մը ղրկեցի անոր հետ. միթէ Տիտոս կեղեքե՞ց ձեզ: Մենք նոյն հոգիով չընթացա՞նք, նոյն հետքերով չքալեցի՞նք:
I urged Titus to go to you, and I sent the other brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same way? Did we not walk in the same steps?
19 Դարձեալ՝ կը կարծէ՞ք թէ մենք մեզ կը ջատագովենք ձեր առջեւ: Մենք Քրիստոսո՛վ կը խօսինք՝ Աստուծո՛յ առջեւ. բայց ամէն բան կ՚ընենք, սիրելիներ, ձեր շինութեան համար:
Do you think all of this time we have been defending ourselves to you? In the sight of God, we have in Christ been saying everything for your strengthening.
20 Որովհետեւ կը վախնամ որ երբ գամ՝ գուցէ չգտնեմ ձեզ ուզածիս պէս, ու ես ալ՝ ձեզի համար՝ գտնուիմ ձեր չուզածին պէս. թերեւս ձեր մէջ ըլլան հակամարտութիւններ, նախանձներ, զայրոյթներ, հակառակութիւններ, բամբասանքներ, բանսարկութիւններ, յոխորտանքներ, խառնակութիւններ:
For I fear that when I come I may not find you as I wish. I fear that you might not find me as you wish. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, rivalries, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.
21 Թերեւս երբ դարձեալ գամ՝ իմ Աստուածս նուաստացնէ զիս ձեր քով, ու սգամ շատերուն համար՝ որ նախապէս մեղանչած են բայց ապաշխարած չեն իրենց գործած անմաքրութենէն, պոռնկութենէն ու ցոփութենէն:
I fear that when I come back, my God might humble me before you. I fear that I might be grieved by many of those who have sinned before now, and who did not repent of the impurity and sexual immorality and lustful indulgence that they practiced.
