ԱՌԱՋԻՆ ԿՈՐՆԹԱՑԻՍ 1

1 Պօղոս, կանչուած Աստուծոյ կամքով՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի առաքեալ ըլլալու, ու Սոսթենէս եղբայրը,

Paul by vocacion an Apostle of Iesus Christ thorow the will of God and brother Sostenes.

2 Կորնթոսի մէջ եղած Աստուծոյ եկեղեցիին, անոնց՝ որ Քրիստոս Յիսուսով սրբացած են, կանչուած՝ սուրբեր ըլլալու բոլոր անոնց հետ, որ ամէն տեղ կը կանչեն մեր Տէրոջ՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի անունը, թէ՛ իրենց եւ թէ մեր Տէրոջ.

Vnto the congregacion of God which is at Corinthum. To them that are sanctified in Christ Iesu sainctes by callynge with all that call on the name of oure lorde Iesus Christ in every place both of theirs and of oures

3 շնորհք ու խաղաղութիւն ձեզի Աստուծմէ՝ մեր Հօրմէն, եւ Տէր Յիսուս Քրիստոսէ:

Grace be with you and peace fro God oure father and from the lorde Iesus Christ.

4 Ամէն ատեն շնորհակալ կ՚ըլլամ իմ Աստուծմէս ձեզի համար, քանի որ Աստուծոյ շնորհքը տրուած է ձեզի Քրիստոս Յիսուսով,

I thanke my God all wayes on youre behalfe for ye grace of God which is geuen you by Iesus Christ

5 ու դուք ամէն բանի մէջ հարստացած էք անով՝ ամէն խօսքով եւ ամէն գիտութեամբ:

that in all thinges ve are made riche by him in all lerninge and in all knowledge

6 Այսպէս՝ Քրիստոսի վկայութիւնը հաստատուեցաւ ձեր մէջ,

even as the testimony of Iesus Christ was confermed in you)

7 որպէսզի ո՛չ մէկ շնորհ պակսի ձեզի, մինչ կը սպասէք մեր Տէրոջ՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի յայտնութեան:

so that ye are behynde in no gyft and wayte for the apperynge of oure lorde Iesus Christ

8 Ինք նաեւ պիտի հաստատէ ձեզ մինչեւ վախճանը, որ անմեղադրելի ըլլաք մեր Տէրոջ՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի օրը:

which shall streght you vnto ye ende that ye maye be blamelesse in ye daye of oure lorde Iesus Christ.

9 Հաւատարիմ է Աստուած, որու միջոցով կանչուեցաք հաղորդակից ըլլալու իր Որդիին, մեր Տէրոջ՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի:

ffor god is faythfull by whom ye are called vnto ye fellishyppe of his sonne Iesus Christe oure lorde

10 Կ՚աղաչե՛մ ձեզի, եղբայրնե՛ր, մեր Տէրոջ՝ Յիսուս Քրիստոսի անունով, որ դուք բոլորդ ունենաք նո՛յն խօսքը, ու պառակտումներ չըլլան ձեր մէջ. հապա հաստատուած ըլլաք նո՛յն միտքով ու նո՛յն դատումով:

I beseche you brethre in ye name of oure lorde Iesus Christ that ye all speake one thynge and that there be no dissencion amoge you: but be ye knyt together in one mynde and in one meaynge.

11 Որովհետեւ, եղբայրնե՛րս, ձեր մասին բացայայտուեցաւ ինծի Քղուէի տունէն եղողներէն՝ թէ կռիւներ կան ձեր մէջ:

It is shewed vnto me (my brethren) of you by them that are of the housse of Cloe that ther is stryfe amonge you. And this is it that I meane:

12 Հիմա սա՛ կ՚ըսեմ ձեզի. իբր թէ ձեզմէ իւրաքանչիւրը կ՚ըսէ. «Ես Պօղոսեան եմ», կամ. «Ես Ապողոսեան եմ», կամ. «Ես Կեփասեան եմ», կամ. «Ես Քրիստոսեան եմ»:

how that comelie amonge you one sayeth: I holde of Paul: another I holde of Apollo: ye thyrde I holde of Cephas: ye four ye I holde of Christ.

13 Միթէ Քրիստոս բաժնուա՞ծ է. միթէ Պօղո՞ս խաչուեցաւ ձեզի համար, կամ թէ Պօղոսի՞ անունով մկրտուեցաք:

Ys Christ devided? was Paul crucified for you? ether were ye baptised in ye name of Paul?

14 Շնորհակալ կ՚ըլլամ Աստուծմէ, որ ձեզմէ ո՛չ մէկը մկրտեցի, բայց միայն Կրիսպոսը եւ Գայիոսը. որպէսզի ո՛չ մէկը ըսէ

I thanke God that I christened none of you but Crispus and Gayus

15 թէ ես մկրտած եմ իմ անունովս:

lest eny shulde saye that I had baptised in myne awne name.

16 Ստեփանասի ընտանիքն ալ մկրտեցի: Չեմ գիտեր ամե՛նեւին՝ թէ ա՛լ ուրիշ մէկը մկրտեցի:

I baptised also the housse of Stephana. Forthermore knowe I not whether I baptised eny man or no.

17 Որովհետեւ Քրիստոս ղրկեց զիս ո՛չ թէ մկրտելու, հապա աւետարանելու. բայց ո՛չ խօսքերու իմաստութեամբ, որպէսզի Քրիստոսի խաչը ընդունայն չըլլայ:

For Christ sent me not to baptyse but to preache ye gospell not with wysdome of wordes lest the crosse of Christ shuld have bene made of none effecte.

18 Արդարեւ խաչին քարոզութիւնը յիմարութիւն է անոնց համար՝ որ կը կորսուին, իսկ մեզի համար՝ որ փրկուած ենք՝ Աստուծոյ զօրութիւնն է:

For ye preachinge of the crosse is to them yt perisshe folishnes: but vnto vs which are saved it is ye power of God.

19 Որովհետեւ գրուած է. «Իմաստուններուն իմաստութիւնը պիտի կորսնցնեմ, ու խելացիներուն խելքը պիտի ջնջեմ»:

For it is written: I will destroye the wysdome of the wyse and will cast awaye the vnderstondinge of the prudet.

20 Ո՞ւր է իմաստունը, ո՞ւր է դպիրը, ո՞ւր է այս աշխարհի վիճաբանողը. միթէ Աստուած չյիմարացո՞ւց այս աշխարհի իմաստութիւնը: (aiōn g165)

Where is the wyse? Where is the scrybe? Where is the searcher of this worlde? Hath not God made the wysdome of this worlde folisshnes? (aiōn g165)

21 Արդարեւ՝ քանի աշխարհը իր իմաստութեամբ չճանչցաւ Աստուած՝ անոր իմաստութեան մէջ, Աստուած բարեհաճեցաւ քարոզութեան յիմարութեամբ փրկել անո՛նք՝ որ կը հաւատան.

For when the worlde thorow wysdome knew not God in ye wysdome of God: it pleased God thorow folisshnes of preachinge to save them yt beleve.

22 որովհետեւ Հրեաները նշան կը պահանջեն, եւ Յոյները իմաստութիւն կը փնտռեն,

For ye Iewes requyre a signe and the Grekes seke after wysdome.

23 իսկ մենք կը քարոզենք խաչեալ Քրիստոսը, գայթակղութիւն՝ Հրեաներուն, ու յիմարութիւն՝ Յոյներուն.

But we preache Christ crucified vnto the Iewes an occasion of fallinge and vnto the Grekes folisshnes:

24 բայց անոնց որ կանչուած են, թէ՛ Հրեաներուն եւ թէ Յոյներուն, Քրիստոսը՝ Աստուծոյ զօրութիւնը եւ Աստուծոյ իմաստութիւնը.

but vnto the which are called both of Iewes and Grekes we preache Christ ye power of God and the wysdome of God.

25 որովհետեւ Աստուծոյ յիմարութիւնը մարդոցմէ աւելի իմաստուն է, եւ Աստուծոյ տկարութիւնը մարդոցմէ աւելի ուժեղ է:

For the folishnes of God is wyser then me: and the weakenes of God is stronger then men.

26 Արդարեւ դուք կը տեսնէք ձեր կոչումը, եղբայրնե՛ր, թէ ի՛նչպէս ո՛չ թէ շատ իմաստուններ՝ մարմինի համեմատ, շատ զօրաւորներ, շատ ազնուականներ կանչուեցան,

Brethren loke on youre callinge how that not many wyse men after the flesshe not many myghty not many of hye degre are called:

27 հապա Աստուած ընտրեց աշխարհի յիմարնե՛րը՝ որպէսզի ամօթահար ընէ իմաստունները: Աստուած ընտրեց աշխարհի տկարնե՛րը՝ որպէսզի ամօթահար ընէ հզօրները.

but God hath chosen the folysshe thinges of the worlde to confounde the wyse. And God hath chosyn the weake thinges of the worlde to confounde thinges which are mighty.

28 Աստուած ընտրեց աշխարհի ստորիննե՛րը, անարգուածնե՛րն ու բա՛ն մը չեղողները, որպէսզի ոչնչացնէ բա՛ն մը եղողները.

And vile thinges of the worlde and thinges which are despysed hath God chosen yee and thinges of no reputacion for to brynge to nought thinges of reputacion

29 որպէսզի ո՛չ մէկ մարմին պարծենայ Աստուծոյ առջեւ:

that no flesshe shulde reioyce in his presence.

30 Բայց դուք Քրիստոս Յիսուսով անկէ՛ էք, որ Աստուծմէ մեզի համար իմաստութիւն, արդարութիւն, սրբութիւն եւ ազատագրութիւն եղաւ.

And vnto him partayne ye in Christ Iesu which of God is made vnto vs wysdome and also rightewesnes and saunctifyinge and redempcion.

31 որպէսզի, ինչպէս գրուած է. «Ո՛վ որ պարծենայ, թող պարծենայ Տէրոջմո՛վ»:

That accordinge as it is written: he which reioyseth shulde reioyce in the Lorde.
