ԾՆՆԴՈՑ 11
1 Այն ժամանակ ողջ երկիրը մէկ լեզուով, մէկ բարբառով էր խօսում:
Forsothe the lond was of o langage, and of the same speche.
2 Արեւելքից տեղաշարժուելու ժամանակ նրանք Սենաար երկրում մի դաշտ գտան եւ բնակուեցին այնտեղ:
And whanne thei yeden forth fro the eest, thei fonden a feeld in the lond of Sennaar, and dwelliden ther ynne.
3 Նրանք միմեանց դիմելով՝ ասացին. «Եկէք աղիւս շինենք ու այն թրծենք կրակով»: Աղիւսը նրանց համար ծառայեց իբրեւ քար, իսկ կուպրը՝ իբրեւ շաղախ:
And oon seide to his neiybore, Come ye, and make we tiel stonys, and bake we tho with fier; and thei hadden tiel for stonus, and pitche for morter;
4 Նրանք ասացին. «Եկէք մեզ համար քաղաք կառուցենք եւ աշտարակ, որի գագաթը հասնի մինչեւ երկինք: Համբաւ ձեռք բերենք ողջ աշխարհով մէկ սփռուելուց առաջ»:
and seiden, Come ye, and make we to vs a citee and tour, whos hiynesse stretche `til to heuene; and make we solempne oure name bifor that we be departid in to alle londis.
5 Տէրն իջաւ, որպէսզի տեսնի այն քաղաքն ու աշտարակը, որ կառուցում էին մարդկանց որդիները:
Forsothe the Lord cam down to se the citee and tour, which the sones of Adam bildiden.
6 Տէրն ասաց. «Սրանք մէկ ժողովուրդ են, ունեն մէկ լեզու եւ սկսել են այդ գործն անել: Արդ, ոչինչ չի խանգարում նրանց, որ կառուցեն այն, ինչ կամենում են:
And he seide, Lo! the puple is oon, and o langage is to alle, and thei han bigunne to make this, nethir thei schulen ceesse of her thouytis, til thei fillen tho in werk; therfor come ye, go we doun,
7 Արի իջնենք եւ խառնենք նրանց լեզուն այնպէս, որ ոչ մէկը չհասկանայ իր ընկերոջ ասածը»:
and scheende we there the tunge of hem, that ech man here not the voys of his neiybore.
8 Տէր Աստուած այնտեղից նրանց սփռեց աշխարհով մէկ, եւ նրանք դադարեցին քաղաքն ու աշտարակը կառուցելուց:
And so the Lord departide hem fro that place in to alle londis; and thei cessiden to bielde a cytee.
9 Դրա համար այն կոչուեց Խառնակութիւն (Բաբելոն), որովհետեւ Տէր Աստուած այնտեղ խառնեց ամբողջ երկրի բնակիչների լեզուները եւ այնտեղից նրանց սփռեց ողջ աշխարհով մէկ:
And therfor the name therof was clepid Babel, for the langage of al erthe was confoundide there; and fro thennus the Lord scaterede hem on the face of alle cuntrees.
10 Սէմի սերունդները սրանք են. Սէմը հարիւրամեայ հասակում, ջրհեղեղից երկու տարի յետոյ ծնեց Արփաքսադին:
These ben the generaciouns of Sem. Sem was of an hundrid yeer whanne he gendride Arfaxath, twey yeer aftir the greet flood.
11 Սէմն Արփաքսադին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս հինգ հարիւր տարի: Նա ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ:
And Sem lyuede aftir that he gendride Arfaxath fyue hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
12 Արփաքսադը հարիւր երեսունհինգ տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Կայնանին:
Forsothe Arfaxath lyuede fyue and thretti yeer, and gendride Sale;
13 Արփաքսադը Կայնանին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս չորս հարիւր տարի, ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ: Կայնանը հարիւր երեսուն տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Սաղային: Կայնանը Սաղային ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս երեք հարիւր երեսուն տարի, ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ:
and Arfaxath lyuede aftir that he gendride Sale thre hundride and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
14 Սաղան հարիւր երեսուն տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Եբերին:
Also Sale lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Heber;
15 Սաղան Եբերին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս երեք հարիւր երեսուն տարի, ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ:
and Sale lyuede after that he gendride Heber foure hundrid and thre yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
16 Եբերը հարիւր երեսունչորս տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Փաղէկին:
Sotheli Heber lyuede foure and thretti yeer, and gendride Falech;
17 Եբերը Փաղէկին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս երկու հարիւր եօթանասուն տարի, ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ:
and Heber lyuede aftir that he gendride Falech foure hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
18 Փաղէկը հարիւր երեսունչորս տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Ռագաւին:
Also Falech lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Reu;
19 Փաղէկը Ռագաւին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս երկու հարիւր ինը տարի, ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ:
and Falech lyuede aftir that he gendride Reu two hundrid and nyne yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
20 Ռագաւը հարիւր երեսուներկու տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Սերուքին:
And Reu lyuede two and thretti yeer, and gendride Saruch;
21 Ռագաւը Սերուքին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս երկու հարիւր եօթը տարի, ծնեց ուստրեր ու դուստրեր եւ մեռաւ:
and Reu lyuede aftir that he gendride Saruch two hundrid and seuene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
22 Սերուքը հարիւր երեսուն տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Նաքորին:
Sotheli Saruch lyuede thretti yeer, and gendride Nachor;
23 Սերուքը Նաքորին ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս երկու հարիւր տարի, ծնեց տղաներ ու աղջիկներ եւ մեռաւ:
and Saruch lyuede aftir that he gendride Nacor two hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
24 Նաքորը եօթանասունինը տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Թարային:
Forsothe Nachor lyuede nyne and twenti yeer, and gendride Thare;
25 Նաքորը Թարային ծնելուց յետոյ ապրեց եւս հարիւր քսաներկու տարի, ծնեց տղաներ ու աղջիկներ եւ մեռաւ:
and Nachor lyuede after that he gendride Thare an hundrid and nynetene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris.
26 Թարան եօթանասուն տարեկան հասակում ծնեց Աբրամին, Նաքորին եւ Առանին:
And Thare lyuede seuenti yeer, and gendride Abram, and Nachor, and Aran.
27 Թարայի սերունդը այս է. Թարան ծնեց Աբրամին, Նաքորին ու Առանին, իսկ Առանը ծնեց Ղովտին:
Sotheli these ben the generaciouns of Thare. Thare gendride Abram, Nachor, and Aran. Forsothe Aran gendride Loth;
28 Առանը մեռաւ իր հայր Թարայի կենդանութեան օրօք, իր ծննդավայրում՝ Քաղդէացւոց երկրում:
and Aran diede bifore Thare, his fadir, in the lond of his natiuite, in Vr of Caldeis.
29 Աբրամն ու Նաքորը ամուսնացան: Աբրամի կնոջ անունը Սարա էր, իսկ Նաքորի կնոջ անունը՝ Մեղքա: Սա Առանի՝ Մեղքայի եւ Յէսքայի հօր դուստրն էր:
Forsothe Abram and Nachor weddiden wyues; the name of the wijf of Abram was Saray, and the name of the wiif of Nachor was Melcha, the douyter of Aran, fadir of Melcha and fadir of Jescha.
30 Սարան ամուլ էր՝ երեխայ չէր ունենում:
Sotheli Saray was bareyn, and hadde no children.
31 Թարան իր որդի Աբրամին, իր որդի Նաքորին, իր որդի Առանի որդի Ղովտին ու իր հարսին՝ իր որդի Աբրամի կնոջը, Քաղդէացւոց երկրից առաւ տարաւ Քանանացւոց երկիրը: Նրանք հասան Խառան ու բնակուեցին այնտեղ:
And so Thare took Abram, his sone, and Loth, the sone of Aran his sone, and Saray, his douyter in lawe, the wijf of Abram, his sone, and ledde hem out of Vr of Caldeis, that thei schulen go in to the lond of Chanaan; and thei camen `til to Aran, and dwelliden there.
32 Խառանում Թարան դարձաւ երկու հարիւր հինգ տարեկան. Թարան Խառանում էլ մեռաւ:
And the daies of Thare weren maad two hundrid yeer and fyue, and he was deed in Aran.
