أيُّوب 25

١ 1 فَقَالَ بِلْدَدُ الشُّوحِيُّ:

Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:

٢ 2 «لِلهِ السُّلْطَانُ وَالْهَيْبَةُ، يَصْنَعُ السَّلاَمَ فِي أَعَالِيهِ.

Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.

٣ 3 هَلْ مِنْ إِحْصَاءٍ لأَجْنَادِهِ، وَعَلَى مَنْ لاَ يُشْرِقُ نُورُهُ؟

Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?

٤ 4 فَكَيْفَ يَتَبَرَّرُ الإِنْسَانُ عِنْدَ اللهِ، وَكَيْفَ يَزْكُو مَوْلُودُ الْمَرْأَةِ؟

Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?

٥ 5 فَإِنْ كَانَ الْقَمَرُ لاَ يُضِيءُ، وَالْكَوَاكِبُ غَيْرَ نَقِيَّةٍ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ،

Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.

٦ 6 فَكَمْ بِالْحَرِيِّ الإِنْسَانُ الرِّمَّةُ وَابْنُ آدَمَ الدُّودُ؟»

How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?
