1 كورنثوس 1

١ 1 مِنْ بُولُسَ، رَسُولِ الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، الْمَدْعُوِّ بِمَشِيئَةِ اللهِ، وَمِنَ الأَخِ سُوسْتَانِيسَ،

Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

٢ 2 إِلَى كَنِيسَةِ اللهِ فِي مَدِينَةِ كُورِنْثُوسَ، إِلَى الَّذِينَ تَقَدَّسُوا فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، الْمَدْعُوِّينَ، الْقِدِّيسِينَ؛ وَإِلَى جَمِيعِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ بِاسْمِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ رَبّاً لَهُمْ وَلَنَا.

to the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

٣ 3 لِتَكُنْ لَكُمُ النِّعْمَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ مِنَ اللهِ أَبِينَا وَالرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ!

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

٤ 4 إِنِّي أَشْكُرُ اللهَ مِنْ أَجْلِكُمْ دَائِماً، وَعَلَى نِعْمَةِ اللهِ الْمَوْهُوبَةِ لَكُمْ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ.

I always thank my God concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;

٥ 5 فَبِهِ قَدْ صِرْتُمْ أَغْنِيَاءَ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، فِي كُلِّ كَلاَمٍ، وَكُلِّ مَعْرِفَةٍ،

that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge;

٦ 6 بِمِقْدَارِ مَا تَرَسَّخَتْ فِيكُمْ شَهَادَةُ الْمَسِيحِ.

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

٧ 7 حَتَّى إِنَّكُمْ لاَ تَحْتَاجُونَ بَعْدُ إِلَى أَيَّةِ مَوْهِبَةٍ فِيمَا تَتَوَقَّعُونَ ظُهُورَ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ عَلَناً.

so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed;

٨ 8 وَهُوَ نَفْسُهُ سَيَحْفَظُكُمْ ثَابِتِينَ إِلَى النِّهَايَةِ حَتَّى تَكُونُوا بِلاَ عَيْبٍ فِي يَوْمِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.

who will also strengthen you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

٩ 9 فَإِنَّ اللهَ أَمِينٌ، وَقَدْ دَعَاكُمْ إِلَى الشَّرِكَةِ مَعَ ابْنِهِ يَسُوعَ رَبِّنَا.

God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

١٠ 10 عَلَى أَنَّنِي أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ، أُنَاشِدُكُمْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِجَمِيعِكُمْ صَوْتٌ وَاحِدٌ وَأَنْ لاَ يَكُونَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَيُّ انْقِسَامٍ. وَإِنَّمَا كُونُوا جَمِيعاً مُوَحَّدِي الْفِكْرِ وَالرَّأْيِ.

Now I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement, so that there may be no divisions among you, and to be united by the same mind and conviction.

١١ 11 فَقَدْ بَلَغَنِي عَنْكُمْ، يَاإِخْوَتِي، عَلَى لِسَانِ عَائِلَةِ خُلُوِي، أَنَّ بَيْنَكُمْ خِلاَفَاتٍ.

For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you.

١٢ 12 أَعْنِي أَنَّ وَاحِداً مِنْكُمْ يَقُولُ: «أَنَا مَعَ بُولُسَ» وَآخَرُ: «أَنَا مَعَ أَبُلُّوسَ»، وَآخَرُ: «أَنَا مَعَ بُطْرُسَ»، وَآخَرُ: «أَنَا مَعَ الْمَسِيحِ».

Now I mean this, that each one of you says, "I follow Paul," "I follow Apollos," "I follow Cephas," and, "I follow Christ."

١٣ 13 فَهَلْ تَجَزَّأَ الْمَسِيحُ؟ أَمْ أَنَّ بُولُسَ صُلِبَ لأَجْلِكُمْ، أَوْ بِاسْمِ بُولُسَ تَعَمَّدْتُمْ؟

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

١٤ 14 أَشْكُرُ اللهَ لأَنِّي لَمْ أُعَمِّدْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَداً غَيْرَ كِرِيسْبُوسَ وَغَايُوسَ،

I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius,

١٥ 15 حَتَّى لاَ يَقُولَ أَحَدٌ إِنَّكُمْ بِاسْمِي تَعَمَّدْتُمْ.

so that no one should say that you had been baptized into my own name.

١٦ 16 وَمَعَ أَنِّي عَمَّدْتُ أَيْضاً عَائِلَةَ اسْتِفَانَاسَ، فَلاَ أَذْكُرُ أَنِّي عَمَّدْتُ أَحَداً غَيْرَهُمْ.

(Now I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any other.)

١٧ 17 فَإِنَّ الْمَسِيحَ قَدْ أَرْسَلَنِي لاَ لأُعَمِّدَ، بَلْ لأُبَشِّرَ بِالإِنْجِيلِ، غَيْرَ مُعْتَمِدٍ عَلَى حِكْمَةِ الْكَلاَمِ، لِئَلاَّ يَصِيرَ صَلِيبُ الْمَسِيحِ كَأَنَّهُ بِلاَ نَفْعٍ.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of the Christ would not be made void.

١٨ 18 لأَنَّ الْبِشَارَةَ بِالصَّلِيبِ جَهَالَةٌ عِنْدَ الْهَالِكِينَ؛ وَأَمَّا عِنْدَنَا، نَحْنُ الْمُخَلَّصِينَ، فَهِيَ قُدْرَةُ اللهِ.

For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

١٩ 19 فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ كُتِبَ: «سَأُبِيدُ حِكْمَةَ الْحُكَمَاءِ وَأُزِيلُ فَهْمَ الْفُهَمَاءِ!»

For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will nullify."

٢٠ 20 إِذَنْ، أَيْنَ الْحَكِيمُ؟ وَأَيْنَ الْبَاحِثُ؟ وَأَيْنَ الْمُجَادِلُ فِي هَذَا الزَّمَانِ؟ أَلَمْ يُظْهِرِ اللهُ حِكْمَةَ هَذَا الْعَالَمِ جَهَالَةً؟ (aiōn g165)

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn't God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (aiōn g165)

٢١ 21 فَبِمَا أَنَّ الْعَالَمَ، فِي حِكْمَةِ اللهِ، لَمْ يَعْرِفِ اللهَ عَنْ طَرِيقِ الْحِكْمَةِ، فَقَدْ سُرَّ اللهُ أَنْ يُخَلِّصَ بِجَهَالَةِ الْبِشَارَةِ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

٢٢ 22 إِذْ إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ يَطْلُبُونَ آيَاتٍ، وَالْيُونَانِيِّينَ يَبْحَثُونَ عَنِ الْحِكْمَةِ.

For Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom,

٢٣ 23 وَلكِنَّنَا نَحْنُ نُبَشِّرُ بِالْمَسِيحِ مَصْلُوباً، مِمَّا يُشَكِّلُ عَائِقاً عِنْدَ الْيَهُودِ وَجَهَالَةً عِنْدَ الأُمَمِ؛

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to the non-Jews,

٢٤ 24 وَأَمَّا عِنْدَ الْمَدْعُوِّينَ، سَوَاءٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ أَوِ الْيُونَانِيِّينَ، فَإِنَّ الْمَسِيحَ هُوَ قُدْرَةُ اللهِ وَحِكْمَةُ اللهِ.

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

٢٥ 25 ذَلِكَ لأَنَّ «جَهَالَةَ» اللهِ أَحْكَمُ مِنَ الْبَشَرِ، وَ «ضَعْفَ» اللهِ أَقْوَى مِنَ الْبَشَرِ.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than man's, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's.

٢٦ 26 فَاتَّخِذُوا الْعِبْرَةَ مِنْ دَعْوَتِكُمْ أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ: فَلَيْسَ بَيْنَكُمْ كَثِيرُونَ مِنَ الْحُكَمَاءِ حِكْمَةً بَشَرِيَّةً، وَلاَ كَثِيرُونَ مِنَ الْمُقْتَدِرِينَ، وَلاَ كَثِيرُونَ مِنَ النُّبَلاَءِ.

For consider your calling, brothers, that not many were wise from a human perspective, not many mighty, not many of noble birth.

٢٧ 27 بَلْ إِنَّ اللهَ قَدِ اخْتَارَ مَا هُوَ جَاهِلٌ فِي الْعَالَمِ لِيُخْجِلَ الْحُكَمَاءَ. وَقَدِ اخْتَارَ اللهُ مَا هُوَ ضَعِيفٌ فِي الْعَالَمِ لِيُخْجِلَ الْمُقْتَدِرِينَ.

But God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise. And God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong.

٢٨ 28 وَقَدِ اخْتَارَ اللهُ مَا كَانَ فِي الْعَالَمِ وَضِيعاً وَمُحْتَقَراً وَعَدِيمَ الشَّأْنِ، لِيُزِيلَ مَا لَهُ شَأْنٌ،

And God chose the lowly of the world, and the despised, what is considered to be nothing, to bring to nothing what is considered to be something,

٢٩ 29 حَتَّى لاَ يَفْتَخِرَ أَيُّ بَشَرٍ أَمَامَ اللهِ.

that no flesh might boast before God.

٣٠ 30 وَبِفَضْلِ اللهِ صَارَ لَكُمْ مَقَامٌ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ الَّذِي جُعِلَ لَنَا حِكْمَةً مِنَ اللهِ وَبِرّاً وَقَدَاسَةً وَفِدَاءً،

And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

٣١ 31 حَتَّى إِنَّ مَنِ افْتَخَرَ، فَلْيَفْتَخِرْ بِالرَّبِّ، كَمِا قَالَ الْكِتَابُ.

so that, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord."
