اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 90

١ 1 صَلَاةٌ لِمُوسَى رَجُلِ ٱللهِ يَارَبُّ، مَلْجَأً كُنْتَ لَنَا فِي دَوْرٍ فَدَوْرٍ.

A prayer of Moses the man of God. LORD, thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.

٢ 2 مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُولَدَ ٱلْجِبَالُ، أَوْ أَبْدَأْتَ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَٱلْمَسْكُونَةَ، مُنْذُ ٱلْأَزَلِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ أَنْتَ ٱللهُ.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God.

٣ 3 تُرْجِعُ ٱلْإِنْسَانَ إِلَى ٱلْغُبَارِ وَتَقُولُ: «ٱرْجِعُوا يَا بَنِي آدَمَ».

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

٤ 4 لِأَنَّ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ فِي عَيْنَيْكَ مِثْلُ يَوْمِ أَمْسِ بَعْدَ مَا عَبَرَ، وَكَهَزِيعٍ مِنَ ٱللَّيْلِ.

For a thousand years in thy sight [are but] as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.

٥ 5 جَرَفْتَهُمْ. كَسِنَةٍ يَكُونُونَ. بِٱلْغَدَاةِ كَعُشْبٍ يَزُولُ.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep; in the morning [they are] like grass [which] groweth.

٦ 6 بِٱلْغَدَاةِ يُزْهِرُ فَيَزُولُ. عِنْدَ ٱلْمَسَاءِ يُجَزُّ فَيَيْبَسُ.

In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

٧ 7 لِأَنَّنَا قَدْ فَنِينَا بِسَخَطِكَ وَبِغَضَبِكَ ٱرْتَعَبْنَا.

For we are consumed by thy anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

٨ 8 قَدْ جَعَلْتَ آثَامَنَا أَمَامَكَ، خَفِيَّاتِنَا فِي ضَوْءِ وَجْهِكَ.

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.

٩ 9 لِأَنَّ كُلَّ أَيَّامِنَا قَدِ ٱنْقَضَتْ بِرِجْزِكَ. أَفْنَيْنَا سِنِينَا كَقِصَّةٍ.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years, as a tale [that is told].

١٠ 10 أَيَّامُ سِنِينَا هِيَ سَبْعُونَ سَنَةً، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مَعَ ٱلْقُوَّةِ فَثَمَانُونَ سَنَةً، وَأَفْخَرُهَا تَعَبٌ وَبَلِيَّةٌ، لِأَنَّهَا تُقْرَضُ سَرِيعًا فَنَطِيرُ.

The days of our years [are] seventy years; and if by reason of strength [they are] eighty years, yet [is] their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

١١ 11 مَنْ يَعْرِفُ قُوَّةَ غَضَبَكَ؟ وَكَخَوْفِكَ سَخَطُكَ.

Who knoweth the power of thy anger? even according to thy fear, [so is] thy wrath.

١٢ 12 إِحْصَاءَ أَيَّامِنَا هَكَذَا عَلِّمْنَا فَنُؤْتَى قَلْبَ حِكْمَةٍ.

So teach [us] to number [our] days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.

١٣ 13 اِرْجِعْ يَارَبُّ، حَتَّى مَتَى؟ وَتَرَأَّفْ عَلَى عَبِيدِكَ.

Return, O LORD, how long? and repent thou concerning thy servants.

١٤ 14 أَشْبِعْنَا بِٱلْغَدَاةِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ، فَنَبْتَهِجَ وَنَفْرَحَ كُلَّ أَيَّامِنَا.

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

١٥ 15 فَرِّحْنَا كَٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلَّتِي فِيهَا أَذْلَلْتَنَا، كَٱلسِّنِينِ ٱلَّتِي رَأَيْنَا فِيهَا شَرًّا.

Make us glad according to the days [in which] thou hast afflicted us, [and] the years [in which] we have seen evil.

١٦ 16 لِيَظْهَرْ فِعْلُكَ لِعَبِيدِكَ، وَجَلَالُكَ لِبَنِيهِمْ.

Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children.

١٧ 17 وَلْتَكُنْ نِعْمَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا عَلَيْنَا، وَعَمَلَ أَيْدِينَا ثَبِّتْ عَلَيْنَا، وَعَمَلَ أَيْدِينَا ثَبِّتْهُ.

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yes, the work of our hands establish thou it.
