اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 58

١ 1 لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ. عَلَى «لَا تُهْلِكْ». لِدَاوُدَ. مُذَهَّبَةٌ أَحَقًّا بِٱلْحَقِّ ٱلْأَخْرَسِ تَتَكَلَّمُونَ، بِٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَاتِ تَقْضُونَ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ؟

For the Chief Musician; [set to] Al-tashheth. [A Psalm] of David. Michtam. Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness? Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

٢ 2 بَلْ بِٱلْقَلْبِ تَعْمَلُونَ شُرُورًا فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ ظُلْمَ أَيْدِيكُمْ تَزِنُونَ.

Nay, in heart ye work wickedness; Ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.

٣ 3 زَاغَ ٱلْأَشْرَارُ مِنَ ٱلرَّحِمِ. ضَلُّوا مِنَ ٱلْبَطْنِ، مُتَكَلِّمِينَ كَذِبًا.

The wicked are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

٤ 4 لَهُمْ حُمَةٌ مِثْلُ حُمَةِ ٱلْحَيَّةِ. مِثْلُ ٱلصِّلِّ ٱلْأَصَمِّ يَسُدُّ أُذُنَهُ،

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [They are] like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear,

٥ 5 ٱلَّذِي لَا يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَى صَوْتِ ٱلْحُوَاةِ ٱلرَّاقِينَ رُقَى حَكِيمٍ.

Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers, Charming never so wisely.

٦ 6 اَللَّهُمَّ، كَسِّرْ أَسْنَانَهُمْ فِي أَفْوَاهِهِمِ. ٱهْشِمْ أَضْرَاسَ ٱلْأَشْبَالِ يَارَبُّ.

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.

٧ 7 لِيَذُوبُوا كَٱلْمَاءِ، لِيَذْهَبُوا. إِذَا فَوَّقَ سِهَامَهُ فَلْتَنْبُ.

Let them melt away as water that runneth apace: When he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.

٨ 8 كَمَا يَذُوبُ ٱلْحَلَزُونُ مَاشِيًا. مِثْلَ سِقْطِ ٱلْمَرْأَةِ لَا يُعَايِنُوا ٱلشَّمْسَ.

[Let them be] as a snail which melteth and passeth away, [Like] the untimely birth of a woman, that hath not seen the sun.

٩ 9 قَبْلَ أَنْ تَشْعُرَ قُدُورُكُمْ بِٱلشَّوْكِ، نِيئًا أَوْ مَحْرُوقًا، يَجْرُفُهُمْ.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

١٠ 10 يَفْرَحُ ٱلصِّدِّيقُ إِذَا رَأَى ٱلنَّقْمَةَ. يَغْسِلُ خُطُواتِهِ بِدَمِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;

١١ 11 وَيَقُولُ ٱلْإِنْسَانُ: «إِنَّ لِلصِّدِّيقِ ثَمَرًا. إِنَّهُ يُوجَدُ إِلَهٌ قَاضٍ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ»

So that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: Verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.
