اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 54

١ 1 لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ عَلَى «ذَوَاتِ ٱلْأَوْتَارِ». قَصِيدَةٌ لِدَاوُدَ عِنْدَمَا أَتَى ٱلزِّيفِيُّونَ وَقَالُوا لِشَاوُلَ: «أَلَيْسَ دَاوُدُ مُخْتَبِئًا عِنْدَنَا؟». اَللَّهُمَّ، بِٱسْمِكَ خَلِّصْنِي، وَبِقُوَّتِكَ ٱحْكُمْ لِي.

To victorie in orguns, ether in salmes, the lernyng of Dauid, `whanne Zyfeys camen, and seiden to Saul, Whethir Dauid is not hid at vs? God, in thi name make thou me saaf; and in thi vertu deme thou me.

٢ 2 ٱسْمَعْ يَا ٱللهُ صَلَاتِي. ٱصْغَ إِلَى كَلَامِ فَمِي.

God, here thou my preier; with eeris perseyue thou the wordis of my mouth.

٣ 3 لِأَنَّ غُرَبَاءَ قَدْ قَامُوا عَلَيَّ، وَعُتَاةً طَلَبُوا نَفْسِي. لَمْ يَجْعَلُوا ٱللهَ أَمَامَهُمْ. سِلَاهْ.

For aliens han rise ayens me, and stronge men souyten my lijf; and thei settiden not God bifor her siyt.

٤ 4 هُوَذَا ٱللهُ مُعِينٌ لِي. ٱلرَّبُّ بَيْنَ عَاضِدِي نَفْسِي.

For, lo! God helpith me; and the Lord is vptaker of my soule.

٥ 5 يَرْجِعُ ٱلشَّرُّ عَلَى أَعْدَائِي. بِحَقِّكَ أَفْنِهِمْ.

Turne thou awei yuelis to myn enemyes; and leese thou hem in thi treuthe.

٦ 6 أَذْبَحُ لَكَ مُنْتَدِبًا. أَحْمَدُ ٱسْمَكَ يَارَبُّ لِأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ.

Wilfuli Y schal make sacrifice to thee; and, Lord, Y schal knouleche to thi name, for it is good.

٧ 7 لِأَنَّهُ مِنْ كُلِّ ضِيْقٍ نَجَّانِي، وَبِأَعْدَائِي رَأَتْ عَيْنِي.

For thou delyueridist me fro al tribulacioun; and myn iye dispiside on myn enemyes.
