اَلْمَزَامِيرُ 53

١ 1 لِإِمَامِ ٱلْمُغَنِّينَ عَلَى «ٱلْعُودِ». قَصِيدَةٌ لِدَاوُدَ قَالَ ٱلْجَاهِلُ فِي قَلْبِهِ: «لَيْسَ إِلَهٌ». فَسَدُوا وَرَجِسُوا رَجَاسَةً. لَيْسَ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ صَلَاحًا.

To the Chief Musician. On Mahalath. A Psalm of Instruction, of David. The impious hath said in his heart, There is no God! They have acted corruptly, They have wrought abominable perversity, There is none that doeth good: —

٢ 2 ٱللهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ أَشْرَفَ عَلَى بَنِي ٱلْبَشَرِ لِيَنْظُرَ: هَلْ مِنْ فَاهِمٍ طَالِبِ ٱللهِ؟

God, out of the heavens, looked down upon the sons of men, —To see whether there was one that showed wisdom, Enquiring after God.

٣ 3 كُلُّهُمْ قَدِ ٱرْتَدُّوا مَعًا، فَسَدُوا. لَيْسَ مَنْ يَعْمَلُ صَلَاحًا، لَيْسَ وَلَا وَاحِدٌ.

They all, have turned back, together have they become tainted, —There is none that doeth good, Not so much as, one!

٤ 4 أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ فَاعِلُو ٱلْإِثْمِ، ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ شَعْبِي كَمَا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلْخُبْزَ، وَٱللهَ لَمْ يَدْعُوا؟

Are the workers of iniquity, without knowledge? Devouring my people, [as] they devour food? Upon God, have they not called.

٥ 5 هُنَاكَ خَافُوا خَوْفًا، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ خَوْفٌ، لِأَنَّ ٱللهَ قَدْ بَدَّدَ عِظَامَ مُحَاصِرِكَ. أَخْزَيْتَهُمْ لِأَنَّ ٱللهَ قَدْ رَفَضَهُمْ.

There have they been in great dread where no dread was, Because, God, hath scattered the bones of thy besieger, —Thou hast put [him] to shame, Because, God, had, rejected, them.

٦ 6 لَيْتَ مِنْ صِهْيَوْنَ خَلَاصَ إِسْرَائِيلَ. عِنْدَ رَدِّ ٱللهِ سَبْيَ شَعْبِهِ، يَهْتِفُ يَعْقُوبُ، وَيَفْرَحُ إِسْرَائِيلُ.

Oh that, out of Zion, were granted the salvations of Israel! When God bringeth back the captives of his people, Jacob, shall exult, Israel, shall be glad.
