أَمْثَالٌ 29
| اَلْكَثِيرُ ٱلتَّوَبُّخِ، ٱلْمُقَسِّي عُنُقَهُ، بَغْتَةً يُكَسَّرُ وَلَا شِفَاءَ. | ١ 1 |
man argument to harden neck suddenness to break and nothing healing
| إِذَا سَادَ ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ فَرِحَ ٱلشَّعْبُ، وَإِذَا تَسَلَّطَ ٱلشِّرِّيرُ يَئِنُّ ٱلشَّعْبُ. | ٢ 2 |
in/on/with to multiply righteous to rejoice [the] people and in/on/with to rule wicked to sigh people
| مَنْ يُحِبُّ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ يُفَرِّحُ أَبَاهُ، وَرَفِيقُ ٱلزَّوَانِي يُبَدِّدُ مَالًا. | ٣ 3 |
man to love: lover wisdom to rejoice father his and to accompany to fornicate to perish substance
| اَلْمَلِكُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ يُثَبِّتُ ٱلْأَرْضَ، وَٱلْقَابِلُ ٱلْهَدَايَا يُدَمِّرُهَا. | ٤ 4 |
king in/on/with justice to stand: rise land: country/planet and man contribution to overthrow her
| اَلرَّجُلُ ٱلَّذِي يُطْرِي صَاحِبَهُ يَبْسُطُ شَبَكَةً لِرِجْلَيْهِ. | ٥ 5 |
great man to smooth upon neighbor his net to spread upon beat his
| فِي مَعْصِيَةِ رَجُلٍ شِرِّيرٍ شَرَكٌ، أَمَّا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ فَيَتَرَنَّمُ وَيَفْرَحُ. | ٦ 6 |
in/on/with transgression man bad: evil snare and righteous to overcome and to rejoice
| ٱلصِّدِّيقُ يَعْرِفُ دَعْوَى ٱلْفُقَرَاءِ، أَمَّا ٱلشِّرِّيرُ فَلَا يَفْهَمُ مَعْرِفَةً. | ٧ 7 |
to know righteous judgment poor wicked not to understand knowledge
| اَلنَّاسُ ٱلْمُسْتَهْزِئُونَ يَفْتِنُونَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ، أَمَّا ٱلْحُكَمَاءُ فَيَصْرِفُونَ ٱلْغَضَبَ. | ٨ 8 |
human scorning to breathe town and wise to return: turn back face: anger
| رَجُلٌ حَكِيمٌ إِنْ حَاكَمَ رَجُلًا أَحْمَقَ، فَإِنْ غَضِبَ وَإِنْ ضَحِكَ فَلَا رَاحَةَ. | ٩ 9 |
man wise to judge with man fool(ish) and to tremble and to laugh and nothing quietness
| أَهْلُ ٱلدِّمَاءِ يُبْغِضُونَ ٱلْكَامِلَ، أَمَّا ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُونَ فَيَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ. | ١٠ 10 |
human blood to hate complete and upright to seek soul: life his
| اَلْجَاهِلُ يُظْهِرُ كُلَّ غَيْظِهِ، وَٱلْحَكِيمُ يُسَكِّنُهُ أَخِيرًا. | ١١ 11 |
all spirit: temper his to come out: speak fool and wise in/on/with back to soothe her
| اَلْحَاكِمُ ٱلْمُصْغِي إِلَى كَلَامِ كَذِبٍ كُلُّ خُدَّامِهِ أَشْرَارٌ. | ١٢ 12 |
to rule to listen upon word: because deception all to minister him wicked
| اَلْفَقِيرُ وَٱلْمُرْبِي يَتَلَاقَيَانِ. ٱلرَّبُّ يُنَوِّرُ أَعْيُنَ كِلَيْهِمَا. | ١٣ 13 |
be poor and man oppression to meet to light eye two their LORD
| اَلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَاكِمُ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ يُثَبَّتُ كُرْسِيُّهُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. | ١٤ 14 |

| اَلْعَصَا وَٱلتَّوْبِيخُ يُعْطِيَانِ حِكْمَةً، وَٱلصَّبِيُّ ٱلْمُطْلَقُ إِلَى هَوَاهُ يُخْجِلُ أُمَّهُ. | ١٥ 15 |

| إِذَا سَادَ ٱلْأَشْرَارُ كَثُرَتِ ٱلْمَعَاصِي، أَمَّا ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ فَيَنْظُرُونَ سُقُوطَهُمْ. | ١٦ 16 |

| أَدِّبِ ٱبْنَكَ فَيُرِيحَكَ وَيُعْطِيَ نَفْسَكَ لَذَّاتٍ. | ١٧ 17 |

| بِلَا رُؤْيَا يَجْمَحُ ٱلشَّعْبُ، أَمَّا حَافِظُ ٱلشَّرِيعَةِ فَطُوبَاهُ. | ١٨ 18 |

| بِٱلْكَلَامِ لَا يُؤَدَّبُ ٱلْعَبْدُ، لِأَنَّهُ يَفْهَمُ وَلَا يُعْنَى. | ١٩ 19 |

| أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْسَانًا عَجُولًا فِي كَلَامِهِ؟ ٱلرَّجَاءُ بِٱلْجَاهِلِ أَكْثَرُ مِنَ ٱلرَّجَاءِ بِهِ. | ٢٠ 20 |

| مَنْ فَنَّقَ عَبْدَهُ مِنْ حَدَاثَتِهِ، فَفِي آخِرَتِهِ يَصِيرُ مَنُونًا. | ٢١ 21 |

| اَلرَّجُلُ ٱلْغَضُوبُ يُهَيِّجُ ٱلْخِصَامَ، وَٱلرَّجُلُ ٱلسَّخُوطُ كَثِيرُ ٱلْمَعَاصِي. | ٢٢ 22 |
man face: anger to stir up strife and master: men rage many transgression
| كِبْرِيَاءُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ تَضَعُهُ، وَٱلْوَضِيعُ ٱلرُّوحِ يَنَالُ مَجْدًا. | ٢٣ 23 |
pride man to abase him and low spirit to grasp glory
| مَنْ يُقَاسِمْ سَارِقًا يُبْغِضْ نَفْسَهُ، يَسْمَعُ ٱللَّعْنَ وَلَا يُقِرُّ. | ٢٤ 24 |
to divide with thief to hate soul: life his oath to hear: hear and not to tell
| خَشْيَةُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ تَضَعُ شَرَكًا، وَٱلْمُتَّكِلُ عَلَى ٱلرَّبِّ يُرْفَعُ. | ٢٥ 25 |
trembling man to give: put snare and to trust in/on/with LORD to exalt
| كَثِيرُونَ يَطْلُبُونَ وَجْهَ ٱلْمُتَسَلِّطِ، أَمَّا حَقُّ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ فَمِنَ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ٢٦ 26 |
many to seek face to rule and from LORD justice man
| اَلرَّجُلُ ٱلظَّالِمُ مَكْرَهَةُ ٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ، وَٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُ ٱلطَّرِيقِ مَكْرَهَةُ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ. | ٢٧ 27 |
