Aionian Verses
| فَقَامَ جَمِيعُ بَنِيهِ وَجَمِيعُ بَنَاتِهِ لِيُعَزُّوهُ، فَأَبَى أَنْ يَتَعَزَّى وَقَالَ: «إِنِّي أَنْزِلُ إِلَى ٱبْنِي نَائِحًا إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ». وَبَكَى عَلَيْهِ أَبُوهُ. (Sheol ) |
All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. He said, “For I will go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” His father wept for him. (Sheol )
| فَقَالَ: «لَا يَنْزِلُ ٱبْنِي مَعَكُمْ، لِأَنَّ أَخَاهُ قَدْ مَاتَ، وَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ بَاقٍ. فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ أَذِيَّةٌ فِي ٱلطَّرِيقِ ٱلَّتِي تَذْهَبُونَ فِيهَا تُنْزِلُونَ شَيْبَتِي بِحُزْنٍ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ». (Sheol ) |
He said, “My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.” (Sheol )
| فَإِذَا أَخَذْتُمْ هَذَا أَيْضًا مِنْ أَمَامِ وَجْهِي وَأَصَابَتْهُ أَذِيَّةٌ، تُنْزِلُونَ شَيْبَتِي بِشَرٍّ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.’ (Sheol )
| يَكُونُ مَتَى رَأَى أَنَّ ٱلْغُلَامَ مَفْقُودٌ، أَنَّهُ يَمُوتُ، فَيُنْزِلُ عَبِيدُكَ شَيْبَةَ عَبْدِكَ أَبِينَا بِحُزْنٍ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، (Sheol ) |
it will happen, when he sees that the boy is no more, that he will die. Your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant, our father, with sorrow to Sheol. (Sheol )
| وَلَكِنْ إِنِ ٱبْتَدَعَ ٱلرَّبُّ بِدْعَةً وَفَتَحَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ فَاهَا وَٱبْتَلَعَتْهُمْ وَكُلَّ مَا لَهُمْ، فَهَبَطُوا أَحْيَاءً إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ ٱلْقَوْمَ قَدِ ٱزْدَرَوْا بِٱلرَّبِّ». (Sheol ) |
But if Yahweh makes a new thing, and the ground opens its mouth, and swallows them up with all that belong to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, then you shall understand that these men have despised Yahweh.” (Sheol )
| فَنَزَلُوا هُمْ وَكُلُّ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَحْيَاءً إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، وَٱنْطَبَقَتْ عَلَيْهِمِ ٱلْأَرْضُ، فَبَادُوا مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ. (Sheol ) |
So they, and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol. The earth closed on them, and they perished from among the assembly. (Sheol )
| إِنَّهُ قَدِ ٱشْتَعَلَتْ نَارٌ بِغَضَبِي فَتَتَّقِدُ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ ٱلسُّفْلَى، وَتَأْكُلُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَغَلَّتَهَا، وَتُحْرِقُ أُسُسَ ٱلْجِبَالِ. (Sheol ) |
For a fire is kindled in my anger, that burns to the lowest Sheol, devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire. (Sheol )
| ٱلرَّبُّ يُمِيتُ وَيُحْيِي. يُهْبِطُ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ وَيُصْعِدُ. (Sheol ) |
“Yahweh kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up. (Sheol )
| حِبَالُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ أَحَاطَتْ بِي. شُرُكُ ٱلْمَوْتِ أَصَابَتْنِي. (Sheol ) |
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me. (Sheol )
| فَٱفْعَلْ حَسَبَ حِكْمَتِكَ وَلَا تَدَعْ شَيْبَتَهُ تَنْحَدِرُ بِسَلَامٍ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
Do therefore according to your wisdom, and don’t let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace. (Sheol )
| وَٱلْآنَ فَلَا تُبَرِّرْهُ لِأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ رَجُلٌ حَكِيمٌ، فَٱعْلَمْ مَا تَفْعَلُ بِهِ وَأَحْدِرْ شَيْبَتَهُ بِٱلدَّمِ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ».». (Sheol ) |
Now therefore don’t hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man; and you will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down to Sheol with blood.” (Sheol )
| ٱلسَّحَابُ يَضْمَحِلُّ وَيَزُولُ، هَكَذَا ٱلَّذِي يَنْزِلُ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ لَا يَصْعَدُ. (Sheol ) |
As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol will come up no more. (Sheol )
| هُوَ أَعْلَى مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ، فَمَاذَا عَسَاكَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ؟ أَعْمَقُ مِنَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، فَمَاذَا تَدْرِي؟ (Sheol ) |
They are high as heaven. What can you do? They are deeper than Sheol. What can you know? (Sheol )
| «لَيْتَكَ تُوارِينِي فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، وَتُخْفِينِي إِلَى أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ غَضَبُكَ، وَتُعَيِّنُ لِي أَجَلًا فَتَذْكُرَنِي. (Sheol ) |
“Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time and remember me! (Sheol )
| إِذَا رَجَوْتُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةَ بَيْتًا لِي، وَفِي ٱلظَّلَامِ مَهَّدْتُ فِرَاشِي، (Sheol ) |
If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness, (Sheol )
| تَهْبِطُ إِلَى مَغَالِيقِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ إِذْ تَرْتَاحُ مَعًا فِي ٱلتُّرَابِ». (Sheol ) |
Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?” (Sheol )
| يَقْضُونَ أَيَّامَهُمْ بِٱلْخَيْرِ. فِي لَحْظَةٍ يَهْبِطُونَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
They spend their days in prosperity. In an instant they go down to Sheol. (Sheol )
| ٱلْقَحْطُ وَٱلْقَيْظُ يَذْهَبَانِ بِمِيَاهِ ٱلثَّلْجِ، كَذَا ٱلْهَاوِيَةُ بِٱلَّذِينَ أَخْطَأُوا. (Sheol ) |
Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned. (Sheol )
| ٱلْهَاوِيَةُ عُرْيَانَةٌ قُدَّامَهُ، وَٱلْهَلَاكُ لَيْسَ لَهُ غِطَاءٌ. (Sheol ) |
Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering. (Sheol )
| لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي ٱلْمَوْتِ ذِكْرُكَ. فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مَنْ يَحْمَدُكَ؟ (Sheol ) |
For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol )
| اَلْأَشْرَارُ يَرْجِعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، كُلُّ ٱلْأُمَمِ ٱلنَّاسِينَ ٱللهَ. (Sheol ) |
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God. (Sheol )
| لِأَنَّكَ لَنْ تَتْرُكَ نَفْسِي فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. لَنْ تَدَعَ تَقِيَّكَ يَرَى فَسَادًا. (Sheol ) |
For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption. (Sheol )
| حِبَالُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ حَاقَتْ بِي. أَشْرَاكُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ٱنْتَشَبَتْ بِي. (Sheol ) |
The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me. (Sheol )
| يَارَبُّ، أَصْعَدْتَ مِنَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ نَفْسِي. أَحْيَيْتَنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلْهَابِطِينَ فِي ٱلْجُبِّ. (Sheol ) |
Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Sheol )
| يَارَبُّ، لَا تَدَعْنِي أَخْزَى لِأَنِّي دَعَوْتُكَ. لِيَخْزَ ٱلْأَشْرَارُ. لِيَسْكُتُوا فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
Let me not be disappointed, Yahweh, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol. (Sheol )
| مِثْلَ ٱلْغَنَمِ لِلْهَاوِيَةِ يُسَاقُونَ. ٱلْمَوْتُ يَرْعَاهُمْ، وَيَسُودُهُمُ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُونَ. غَدَاةً وَصُورَتُهُمْ تَبْلَى. ٱلْهَاوِيَةُ مَسْكَنٌ لَهُمْ. (Sheol ) |
They are appointed as a flock for Sheol. Death shall be their shepherd. The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Their beauty shall decay in Sheol, far from their mansion. (Sheol )
| إِنَّمَا ٱللهُ يَفْدِي نَفْسِي مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ لِأَنَّهُ يَأْخُذُنِي. سِلَاهْ. (Sheol ) |
But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. (Selah) (Sheol )
| لِيَبْغَتْهُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ. لِيَنْحَدِرُوا إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ أَحْيَاءً، لِأَنَّ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ، فِي وَسْطِهِمْ شُرُورًا. (Sheol ) |
Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is among them, in their dwelling. (Sheol )
| لِأَنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ عَظِيمَةٌ نَحْوِي، وَقَدْ نَجَّيْتَ نَفْسِي مِنَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ ٱلسُّفْلَى. (Sheol ) |
For your loving kindness is great toward me. You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol )
| لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ شَبِعَتْ مِنَ ٱلْمَصَائِبِ نَفْسِي، وَحَيَاتِي إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ دَنَتْ. (Sheol ) |
For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol. (Sheol )
| أَيُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَحْيَا وَلَا يَرَى ٱلْمَوْتَ؟ أَيٌّ يُنَجِّي نَفْسَهُ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ؟ سِلَاهْ. (Sheol ) |
What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol )
| ٱكْتَنَفَتْنِي حِبَالُ ٱلْمَوْتِ. أَصَابَتْنِي شَدَائِدُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. كَابَدْتُ ضِيقًا وَحُزْنًا. (Sheol ) |
The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol )
| إِنْ صَعِدْتُ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ فَأَنْتَ هُنَاكَ، وَإِنْ فَرَشْتُ فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ فَهَا أَنْتَ. (Sheol ) |
If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! (Sheol )
| كَمَنْ يَفْلَحُ وَيَشُقُّ ٱلْأَرْضَ، تَبَدَّدَتْ عِظَامُنَا عِنْدَ فَمِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
“As when one plows and breaks up the earth, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.” (Sheol )
| لِنَبْتَلِعْهُمْ أَحْيَاءً كَٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، وَصِحَاحًا كَٱلْهَابِطِينَ فِي ٱلْجُبِّ، (Sheol ) |
Let’s swallow them up alive like Sheol, and whole, like those who go down into the pit. (Sheol )
| قَدَمَاهَا تَنْحَدِرَانِ إِلَى ٱلْمَوْتِ. خَطَوَاتُهَا تَتَمَسَّكُ بِٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol. (Sheol )
| طُرُقُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ بَيْتُهَا، هَابِطَةٌ إِلَى خُدُورِ ٱلْمَوْتِ. (Sheol ) |
Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the rooms of death. (Sheol )
| وَلَا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ٱلْأَخْيِلَةَ هُنَاكَ، وَأَنَّ فِي أَعْمَاقِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ ضُيُوفَهَا. (Sheol ) |
But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol. (Sheol )
| اَلْهَاوِيَةُ وَٱلْهَلَاكُ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ. كَمْ بِٱلْحَرِيِّ قُلُوبُ بَنِي آدَمَ! (Sheol ) |
Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh— how much more then the hearts of the children of men! (Sheol )
| طَرِيقُ ٱلْحَيَاةِ لِلْفَطِنِ إِلَى فَوْقُ، لِلْحَيَدَانِ عَنِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مِنْ تَحْتُ. (Sheol ) |
The path of life leads upward for the wise, to keep him from going downward to Sheol. (Sheol )
| تَضْرِبُهُ أَنْتَ بِعَصًا فَتُنْقِذُ نَفْسَهُ مِنَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
Punish him with the rod, and save his soul from Sheol. (Sheol )
| اَلْهَاوِيَةُ وَٱلْهَلَاكُ لَا يَشْبَعَانِ، وَكَذَا عَيْنَا ٱلْإِنْسَانِ لَا تَشْبَعَانِ. (Sheol ) |
Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; and a man’s eyes are never satisfied. (Sheol )
| ٱلْهَاوِيَةُ، وَٱلرَّحِمُ ٱلْعَقِيمُ، وَأَرْضٌ لَا تَشْبَعُ مَاءً، وَٱلنَّارُ لَا تَقُولُ: «كَفَا». (Sheol ) |
Sheol, the barren womb, the earth that is not satisfied with water, and the fire that doesn’t say, ‘Enough!’ (Sheol )
| كُلُّ مَا تَجِدُهُ يَدُكَ لِتَفْعَلَهُ فَٱفْعَلْهُ بِقُوَّتِكَ، لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ وَلَا ٱخْتِرَاعٍ وَلَا مَعْرِفَةٍ وَلَا حِكْمَةٍ فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ ٱلَّتِي أَنْتَ ذَاهِبٌ إِلَيْهَا. (Sheol ) |
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going. (Sheol )
| اِجْعَلْنِي كَخَاتِمٍ عَلَى قَلْبِكَ، كَخَاتِمٍ عَلَى سَاعِدِكَ. لِأَنَّ ٱلْمَحَبَّةَ قَوِيَّةٌ كَٱلْمَوْتِ. ٱلْغَيْرَةُ قَاسِيَةٌ كَٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. لَهِيبُهَا لَهِيبُ نَارِ لَظَى ٱلرَّبِّ. (Sheol ) |
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of Yah. (Sheol )
| لِذَلِكَ وَسَّعَتِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةُ نَفْسَهَا، وَفَغَرَتْ فَاهَا بِلَا حَدٍّ، فَيَنْزِلُ بَهَاؤُهَا وَجُمْهُورُهَا وَضَجِيجُهَا وَٱلْمُبْتَهِجُ فِيهَا! (Sheol ) |
Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it. (Sheol )
| «اُطْلُبْ لِنَفْسِكَ آيَةً مِنَ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ. عَمِّقْ طَلَبَكَ أَوْ رَفِّعْهُ إِلَى فَوْقٍ». (Sheol ) |
“Ask a sign of Yahweh your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.” (Sheol )
| اَلْهَاوِيَةُ مِنْ أَسْفَلُ مُهْتَزَّةٌ لَكَ، لِٱسْتِقْبَالِ قُدُومِكَ، مُنْهِضَةٌ لَكَ ٱلْأَخْيِلَةَ، جَمِيعَ عُظَمَاءِ ٱلْأَرْضِ. أَقَامَتْ كُلَّ مُلُوكِ ٱلْأُمَمِ عَنْ كَرَاسِيِّهِمْ. (Sheol ) |
Sheol from beneath has moved for you to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the departed spirits for you, even all the rulers of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Sheol )
| أُهْبِطَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ فَخْرُكَ، رَنَّةُ أَعْوَادِكَ. تَحْتَكَ تُفْرَشُ ٱلرِّمَّةُ، وَغِطَاؤُكَ ٱلدُّودُ. (Sheol ) |
Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, with the sound of your stringed instruments. Maggots are spread out under you, and worms cover you. (Sheol )
| لَكِنَّكَ ٱنْحَدَرْتَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، إِلَى أَسَافِلِ ٱلْجُبِّ. (Sheol ) |
Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the pit. (Sheol )
| لِأَنَّكُمْ قُلْتُمْ: «قَدْ عَقَدْنَا عَهْدًا مَعَ ٱلْمَوْتِ، وَصَنَعْنَا مِيثَاقًا مَعَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. ٱلسَّوْطُ ٱلْجَارِفُ إِذَا عَبَرَ لَا يَأْتِينَا، لِأَنَّنَا جَعَلْنَا ٱلْكَذِبَ مَلْجَأَنَا، وَبِٱلْغِشِّ ٱسْتَتَرْنَا». (Sheol ) |
“Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and we are in agreement with Sheol. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it won’t come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.’” (Sheol )
| وَيُمْحَى عَهْدُكُمْ مَعَ ٱلْمَوْتِ، وَلَا يَثْبُتُ مِيثَاقُكُمْ مَعَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. ٱلسَّوْطُ ٱلْجَارِفُ إِذَا عَبَرَ تَكُونُونَ لَهُ لِلدَّوْسِ. (Sheol ) |
Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it. (Sheol )
| أَنَا قُلْتُ: «فِي عِزِّ أَيَّامِي أَذْهَبُ إِلَى أَبْوَابِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. قَدْ أُعْدِمْتُ بَقِيَّةَ سِنِيَّ. (Sheol ) |
I said, “In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years.” (Sheol )
| لِأَنَّ ٱلْهَاوِيَةَ لَا تَحْمَدُكَ. ٱلْمَوْتُ لَا يُسَبِّحُكَ. لَا يَرْجُو ٱلْهَابِطُونَ إِلَى ٱلْجُبِّ أَمَانَتَكَ. (Sheol ) |
For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth. (Sheol )
| وَسِرْتِ إِلَى ٱلْمَلِكِ بِٱلدُّهْنِ، وَأَكْثَرْتِ أَطْيَابَكِ، وَأَرْسَلْتِ رُسُلَكِ إِلَى بُعْدٍ وَنَزَلْتِ حَتَّى إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Sheol ) |
You went to the king with oil, increased your perfumes, sent your ambassadors far off, and degraded yourself even to Sheol. (Sheol )
| هَكَذَا قَالَ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ: فِي يَوْمِ نُزُولِهِ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ أَقَمْتُ نَوْحًا. كَسَوْتُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْغَمْرَ، وَمَنَعْتُ أَنْهَارَهُ، وَفَنِيَتِ ٱلْمِيَاهُ ٱلْكَثِيرَةُ، وَأَحْزَنْتُ لُبْنَانَ عَلَيْهِ، وَكُلُّ أَشْجَارِ ٱلْحَقْلِ ذَبُلَتْ عَلَيْهِ. (Sheol ) |
“The Lord Yahweh says: ‘In the day when he went down to Sheol, I caused a mourning. I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers. The great waters were stopped. I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him. (Sheol )
| مِنْ صَوْتِ سُقُوطِهِ أَرْجَفْتُ ٱلْأُمَمَ عِنْدَ إِنْزَالِي إِيَّاهُ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مَعَ ٱلْهَابِطِينَ فِي ٱلْجُبِّ، فَتَتَعَزَّى فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلسُّفْلَى كُلُّ أَشْجَارِ عَدْنٍ، مُخْتَارُ لُبْنَانَ وَخِيَارُهُ كُلُّ شَارِبَةٍ مَاءً. (Sheol ) |
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit. All the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth. (Sheol )
| هُمْ أَيْضًا نَزَلُوا إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مَعَهُ، إِلَى ٱلْقَتْلَى بِٱلسَّيْفِ، وَزَرْعُهُ ٱلسَّاكِنُونَ تَحْتَ ظِلِّهِ فِي وَسْطِ ٱلْأُمَمِ. (Sheol ) |
They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were his arm, who lived under his shadow in the middle of the nations. (Sheol )
| يُكَلِّمُهُ أَقْوِيَاءُ ٱلْجَبَابِرَةِ مِنْ وَسْطِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مَعَ أَعْوَانِهِ. قَدْ نَزَلُوا، ٱضْطَجَعُوا غُلْفًا قَتْلَى بِٱلسَّيْفِ. (Sheol ) |
The strong among the mighty will speak to him out of the middle of Sheol with those who help him. They have gone down. The uncircumcised lie still, slain by the sword. (Sheol )
| وَلَا يَضْطَجِعُونَ مَعَ ٱلْجَبَابِرَةِ ٱلسَّاقِطِينَ مِنَ ٱلْغُلْفِ ٱلنَّازِلِينَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ بِأَدَوَاتِ حَرْبِهِمْ، وَقَدْ وُضِعَتْ سُيُوفُهُمْ تَحْتَ رُؤُوسِهِمْ، فَتَكُونُ آثَامُهُمْ عَلَى عِظَامِهِمْ مَعَ أَنَّهُمْ رُعْبُ ٱلْجَبَابِرَةِ فِي أَرْضِ ٱلْأَحْيَاءِ. (Sheol ) |
They will not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war and have laid their swords under their heads. Their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. (Sheol )
| «مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ أَفْدِيهِمْ. مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ أُخَلِّصُهُمْ. أَيْنَ أَوْبَاؤُكَ يَا مَوْتُ؟ أَيْنَ شَوْكَتُكِ يَا هَاوِيَةُ؟ تَخْتَفِي ٱلنَّدَامَةُ عَنْ عَيْنَيَّ». (Sheol ) |
I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from death! Death, where are your plagues? Sheol, where is your destruction? “Compassion will be hidden from my eyes. (Sheol )
| إِنْ نَقَبُوا إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ فَمِنْ هُنَاكَ تَأْخُذُهُمْ يَدِي، وَإِنْ صَعِدُوا إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاءِ فَمِنْ هُنَاكَ أُنْزِلُهُمْ. (Sheol ) |
Though they dig into Sheol, there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down. (Sheol )
| وَقَالَ: «دَعَوْتُ مِنْ ضِيقِي ٱلرَّبَّ، فَٱسْتَجَابَنِي. صَرَخْتُ مِنْ جَوْفِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، فَسَمِعْتَ صَوْتِي. (Sheol ) |
He said, “I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice. (Sheol )
| وَحَقًّا إِنَّ ٱلْخَمْرَ غَادِرَةٌ. ٱلرَّجُلَ مُتَكَبِّرٌ وَلَا يَهْدَأُ. ٱلَّذِي قَدْ وَسَّعَ نَفْسَهُ كَٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، وَهُوَ كَٱلْمَوْتِ فَلَا يَشْبَعُ، بَلْ يَجْمَعُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ كُلَّ ٱلْأُمَمِ، وَيَضُمُّ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ جَمِيعَ ٱلشُّعُوبِ. (Sheol ) |
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples. (Sheol )
| وَأَمَّا أَنَا فَأَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَغْضَبُ عَلَى أَخِيهِ بَاطِلًا يَكُونُ مُسْتَوْجِبَ ٱلْحُكْمِ، وَمَنْ قَالَ لِأَخِيهِ: رَقَا، يَكُونُ مُسْتَوْجِبَ ٱلْمَجْمَعِ، وَمَنْ قَالَ: يا أَحْمَقُ، يَكُونُ مُسْتَوْجِبَ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ. (Geenna ) |
But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna. (Geenna )
| فَإِنْ كَانَتْ عَيْنُكَ ٱلْيُمْنَى تُعْثِرُكَ فَٱقْلَعْهَا وَأَلْقِهَا عَنْكَ، لِأَنَّهُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ يَهْلِكَ أَحَدُ أَعْضَائِكَ وَلَا يُلْقَى جَسَدُكَ كُلُّهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ. (Geenna ) |
If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. (Geenna )
| وَإِنْ كَانَتْ يَدُكَ ٱلْيُمْنَى تُعْثِرُكَ فَٱقْطَعْهَا وَأَلْقِهَا عَنْكَ، لِأَنَّهُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ يَهْلِكَ أَحَدُ أَعْضَائِكَ وَلَا يُلْقَى جَسَدُكَ كُلُّهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ. (Geenna ) |

| وَلَا تَخَافُوا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلْجَسَدَ وَلَكِنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ لَا يَقْدِرُونَ أَنْ يَقْتُلُوهَا، بَلْ خَافُوا بِٱلْحَرِيِّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِي يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يُهْلِكَ ٱلنَّفْسَ وَٱلْجَسَدَ كِلَيْهِمَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ. (Geenna ) |
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. (Geenna )
| وَأَنْتِ ياكَفْرَنَاحُومَ ٱلْمُرْتَفِعَةَ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاءِ! سَتُهْبَطِينَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. لِأَنَّهُ لَوْ صُنِعَتْ فِي سَدُومَ ٱلْقُوَّاتُ ٱلْمَصْنُوعَةُ فِيكِ لَبَقِيَتْ إِلَى ٱلْيَوْمِ. (Hadēs ) |
You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades. For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today. (Hadēs )
| وَمَنْ قَالَ كَلِمَةً عَلَى ٱبْنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ، وَأَمَّا مَنْ قَالَ عَلَى ٱلرُّوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ فَلَنْ يُغْفَرَ لَهُ، لَا فِي هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ وَلَا فِي ٱلْآتِي. (aiōn ) |
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come. (aiōn )
| وَٱلْمَزْرُوعُ بَيْنَ ٱلشَّوْكِ هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يَسْمَعُ ٱلْكَلِمَةَ، وَهَمُّ هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ وَغُرُورُ ٱلْغِنَى يَخْنُقَانِ ٱلْكَلِمَةَ فَيَصِيرُ بِلَا ثَمَرٍ. (aiōn ) |
What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. (aiōn )
| وَٱلْعَدُوُّ ٱلَّذِي زَرَعَهُ هُوَ إِبْلِيسُ. وَٱلْحَصَادُ هُوَ ٱنْقِضَاءُ ٱلْعَالَمِ. وَٱلْحَصَّادُونَ هُمُ ٱلْمَلَائِكَةُ. (aiōn ) |
The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. (aiōn )
| فَكَمَا يُجْمَعُ ٱلزَّوَانُ وَيُحْرَقُ بِٱلنَّارِ، هَكَذَا يَكُونُ فِي ٱنْقِضَاءِ هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ: (aiōn ) |
As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age. (aiōn )
| هَكَذَا يَكُونُ فِي ٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِ: يَخْرُجُ ٱلْمَلَائِكَةُ وَيُفْرِزُونَ ٱلْأَشْرَارَ مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ، (aiōn ) |
So it will be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous, (aiōn )
| وَأَنَا أَقُولُ لَكَ أَيْضًا: أَنْتَ بُطْرُسُ، وَعَلَى هَذِهِ ٱلصَّخْرَةِ أَبْنِي كَنِيسَتِي، وَأَبْوَابُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ لَنْ تَقْوَى عَلَيْهَا. (Hadēs ) |
I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. (Hadēs )
| فَإِنْ أَعْثَرَتْكَ يَدُكَ أَوْ رِجْلُكَ فَٱقْطَعْهَا وَأَلْقِهَا عَنْكَ. خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ أَعْرَجَ أَوْ أَقْطَعَ مِنْ أَنْ تُلْقَى فِي ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ وَلَكَ يَدَانِ أَوْ رِجْلَانِ. (aiōnios ) |
If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the eternal fire. (aiōnios )
| وَإِنْ أَعْثَرَتْكَ عَيْنُكَ فَٱقْلَعْهَا وَأَلْقِهَا عَنْكَ. خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ أَعْوَرَ مِنْ أَنْ تُلْقَى فِي جَهَنَّمِ ٱلنَّارِ وَلَكَ عَيْنَانِ. (Geenna ) |
If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire. (Geenna )
| وَإِذَا وَاحِدٌ تَقَدَّمَ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُعَلِّمُ ٱلصَّالِحُ، أَيَّ صَلَاحٍ أَعْمَلُ لِتَكُونَ لِيَ ٱلْحَيَاةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ؟». (aiōnios ) |
Behold, one came to him and said, “Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?” (aiōnios )
| وَكُلُّ مَنْ تَرَكَ بُيُوتًا أَوْ إِخْوَةً أَوْ أَخَوَاتٍ أَوْ أَبًا أَوْ أُمًّا أَوِ ٱمْرَأَةً أَوْ أَوْلَادًا أَوْ حُقُولًا مِنْ أَجْلِ ٱسْمِي، يَأْخُذُ مِئَةَ ضِعْفٍ وَيَرِثُ ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ. (aiōnios ) |
Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life. (aiōnios )
| فَنَظَرَ شَجَرَةَ تِينٍ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقِ، وَجَاءَ إِلَيْهَا فَلَمْ يَجِدْ فِيهَا شَيْئًا إِلَّا وَرَقًا فَقَطْ. فَقَالَ لَهَا: «لَا يَكُنْ مِنْكِ ثَمَرٌ بَعْدُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ!». فَيَبِسَتِ ٱلتِّينَةُ فِي ٱلْحَالِ. (aiōn ) |
Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away. (aiōn )
| وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْكَتَبَةُ وَٱلْفَرِّيسِيُّونَ ٱلْمُرَاؤُونَ! لِأَنَّكُمْ تَطُوفُونَ ٱلْبَحْرَ وَٱلْبَرَّ لِتَكْسَبُوا دَخِيلًا وَاحِدًا، وَمَتَى حَصَلَ تَصْنَعُونَهُ ٱبْنًا لِجَهَنَّمَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْكُمْ مُضَاعَفًا. (Geenna ) |
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of Gehenna as yourselves. (Geenna )
| أَيُّهَا ٱلْحَيَّاتُ أَوْلَادَ ٱلْأَفَاعِي! كَيْفَ تَهْرُبُونَ مِنْ دَيْنُونَةِ جَهَنَّمَ؟ (Geenna ) |
You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of Gehenna? (Geenna )
| وَفِيمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ عَلَى جَبَلِ ٱلزَّيْتُونِ، تَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلتَّلَامِيذُ عَلَى ٱنْفِرَادٍ قَائِلِينَ: «قُلْ لَنَا مَتَى يَكُونُ هَذَا؟ وَمَا هِيَ عَلَامَةُ مَجِيئِكَ وَٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلدَّهْرِ؟». (aiōn ) |
As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?” (aiōn )
| «ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَيْضًا لِلَّذِينَ عَنِ ٱلْيَسَارِ: ٱذْهَبُوا عَنِّي يامَلَاعِينُ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ ٱلْمُعَدَّةِ لِإِبْلِيسَ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ، (aiōnios ) |
Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; (aiōnios )
| فَيَمْضِي هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى عَذَابٍ أَبَدِيٍّ وَٱلْأَبْرَارُ إِلَى حَيَاةٍ أَبَدِيَّةٍ». (aiōnios ) |
These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (aiōnios )
| وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ أَنْ يَحْفَظُوا جَمِيعَ مَا أَوْصَيْتُكُمْ بِهِ. وَهَا أَنَا مَعَكُمْ كُلَّ ٱلْأَيَّامِ إِلَى ٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلدَّهْرِ». آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (aiōn )
| وَلَكِنْ مَنْ جَدَّفَ عَلَى ٱلرُّوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ مَغْفِرَةٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، بَلْ هُوَ مُسْتَوْجِبٌ دَيْنُونَةً أَبَدِيَّةً». (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
| وَهُمُومُ هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ وَغُرُورُ ٱلْغِنَى وَشَهَوَاتُ سَائِرِ ٱلْأَشْيَاءِ تَدْخُلُ وَتَخْنُقُ ٱلْكَلِمَةَ فَتَصِيرُ بِلَا ثَمَرٍ. (aiōn ) |
and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn )
| وَإِنْ أَعْثَرَتْكَ يَدُكَ فَٱقْطَعْهَا. خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ أَقْطَعَ مِنْ أَنْ تَكُونَ لَكَ يَدَانِ وَتَمْضِيَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ، إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّتِي لَا تُطْفَأُ. (Geenna ) |
If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire, (Geenna )
| وَإِنْ أَعْثَرَتْكَ رِجْلُكَ فَٱقْطَعْهَا. خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ أَعْرَجَ مِنْ أَنْ تَكُونَ لَكَ رِجْلَانِ وَتُطْرَحَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّتِي لَا تُطْفَأُ. (Geenna ) |
If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched— (Geenna )
| وَإِنْ أَعْثَرَتْكَ عَيْنُكَ فَٱقْلَعْهَا. خَيْرٌ لَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱللهِ أَعْوَرَ مِنْ أَنْ تَكُونَ لَكَ عَيْنَانِ وَتُطْرَحَ فِي جَهَنَّمِ ٱلنَّارِ. (Geenna ) |
If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out. It is better for you to enter into God’s Kingdom with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire, (Geenna )
| وَفِيمَا هُوَ خَارِجٌ إِلَى ٱلطَّرِيقِ، رَكَضَ وَاحِدٌ وَجَثَا لَهُ وَسَأَلَهُ: «أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُعَلِّمُ ٱلصَّالِحُ، مَاذَا أَعْمَلُ لِأَرِثَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ؟». (aiōnios ) |
As he was going out into the way, one ran to him, knelt before him, and asked him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios )
| إِلَّا وَيَأْخُذُ مِئَةَ ضِعْفٍ ٱلْآنَ فِي هَذَا ٱلزَّمَانِ، بُيُوتًا وَإِخْوَةً وَأَخَوَاتٍ وَأُمَّهَاتٍ وَأَوْلَادًا وَحُقُولًا، مَعَ ٱضْطِهَادَاتٍ، وَفِي ٱلدَّهْرِ ٱلْآتِي ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ. (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
but he will receive one hundred times more now in this time: houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life. (aiōn , aiōnios )
| فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَالَ لَهَا: «لَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدٌ مِنْكِ ثَمَرًا بَعْدُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ!». وَكَانَ تَلَامِيذُهُ يَسْمَعُونَ. (aiōn ) |
Jesus told it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” and his disciples heard it. (aiōn )
| وَيَمْلِكُ عَلَى بَيْتِ يَعْقُوبَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، وَلَا يَكُونُ لِمُلْكِهِ نِهَايَةٌ». (aiōn ) |
and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom.” (aiōn )
| كَمَا كَلَّمَ آبَاءَنَا. لِإِبْراهِيمَ وَنَسْلِهِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ». (aiōn ) |
as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.” (aiōn )
| كَمَا تَكَلَّمَ بِفَمِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ مُنْذُ ٱلدَّهْرِ، (aiōn ) |
(as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets who have been from of old), (aiōn )
| وَطَلَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ لَا يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِٱلذَّهَابِ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Abyssos ) |
They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss. (Abyssos )
| وَأَنْتِ يَا كَفْرَنَاحُومَ ٱلْمُرْتَفِعَةُ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاءِ! سَتُهْبَطِينَ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Hadēs ) |
You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. (Hadēs )
| وَإِذَا نَامُوسِيٌّ قَامَ يُجَرِّبُهُ قَائِلًا: «يَا مُعَلِّمُ، مَاذَا أَعْمَلُ لِأَرِثَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ؟». (aiōnios ) |
Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios )
| بَلْ أُرِيكُمْ مِمَّنْ تَخَافُونَ: خَافُوا مِنَ ٱلَّذِي بَعْدَمَا يَقْتُلُ، لَهُ سُلْطَانٌ أَنْ يُلْقِيَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ. نَعَمْ، أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: مِنْ هَذَا خَافُوا! (Geenna ) |
But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Geenna )
| فَمَدَحَ ٱلسَّيِّدُ وَكِيلَ ٱلظُّلْمِ إِذْ بِحِكْمَةٍ فَعَلَ، لِأَنَّ أَبْنَاءَ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ أَحْكَمُ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ ٱلنُّورِ فِي جِيلِهِمْ. (aiōn ) |
“His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light. (aiōn )
| وَأَنَا أَقُولُ لَكُمُ: ٱصْنَعُوا لَكُمْ أَصْدِقَاءَ بِمَالِ ٱلظُّلْمِ، حَتَّى إِذَا فَنِيتُمْ يَقْبَلُونَكُمْ فِي ٱلْمَظَالِّ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios ) |
I tell you, make for yourselves friends by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when you fail, they may receive you into the eternal tents. (aiōnios )
| فَرَفَعَ عَيْنَيْهِ فِي ٱلجَحِيمِ وَهُوَ فِي ٱلْعَذَابِ، وَرَأَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ وَلِعَازَرَ فِي حِضْنِهِ، (Hadēs ) |
In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom. (Hadēs )
| وَسَأَلَهُ رَئِيسٌ قَائِلًا: «أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُعَلِّمُ ٱلصَّالِحُ، مَاذَا أَعْمَلُ لِأَرِثَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ؟» (aiōnios ) |
A certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios )
| إِلَّا وَيَأْخُذُ فِي هَذَا ٱلزَّمَانِ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً، وَفِي ٱلدَّهْرِ ٱلْآتِي ٱلْحَيَاةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ». (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
| فَأَجَابَ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «أَبْنَاءُ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ يُزَوِّجُونَ وَيُزَوَّجُونَ، (aiōn ) |
Jesus said to them, “The children of this age marry and are given in marriage. (aiōn )
| وَلَكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ حُسِبُوا أَهْلًا لِلْحُصُولِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ٱلدَّهْرِ وَٱلْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ، لَا يُزَوِّجُونَ وَلَا يُزَوَّجُونَ، (aiōn ) |
But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. (aiōn )
| لِكَيْ لَا يَهْلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ بَلْ تَكُونُ لَهُ ٱلْحَيَاةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ. (aiōnios ) |
that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّهُ هَكَذَا أَحَبَّ ٱللهُ ٱلْعَالَمَ حَتَّى بَذَلَ ٱبْنَهُ ٱلْوَحِيدَ، لِكَيْ لَا يَهْلِكَ كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ، بَلْ تَكُونُ لَهُ ٱلْحَيَاةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ. (aiōnios ) |
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios )
| ٱلَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ بِٱلِٱبْنِ لَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ، وَٱلَّذِي لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱلِٱبْنِ لَنْ يَرَى حَيَاةً بَلْ يَمْكُثُ عَلَيْهِ غَضَبُ ٱللهِ». (aiōnios ) |
One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” (aiōnios )
| وَلَكِنْ مَنْ يَشْرَبُ مِنَ ٱلْمَاءِ ٱلَّذِي أُعْطِيهِ أَنَا فَلَنْ يَعْطَشَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، بَلِ ٱلْمَاءُ ٱلَّذِي أُعْطِيهِ يَصِيرُ فِيهِ يَنْبُوعَ مَاءٍ يَنْبَعُ إِلَى حَيَاةٍ أَبَدِيَّةٍ». (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” (aiōn , aiōnios )
| وَٱلْحَاصِدُ يَأْخُذُ أُجْرَةً وَيَجْمَعُ ثَمَرًا لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ، لِكَيْ يَفْرَحَ ٱلزَّارِعُ وَٱلْحَاصِدُ مَعًا. (aiōnios ) |
He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (aiōnios )
| «اَلْحَقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّ مَنْ يَسْمَعُ كَلَامِي وَيُؤْمِنُ بِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي فَلَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ، وَلَا يَأْتِي إِلَى دَيْنُونَةٍ، بَلْ قَدِ ٱنْتَقَلَ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ إِلَى ٱلْحَيَاةِ. (aiōnios ) |
“Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (aiōnios )
| فَتِّشُوا ٱلْكُتُبَ لِأَنَّكُمْ تَظُنُّونَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهَا حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً. وَهِيَ ٱلَّتِي تَشْهَدُ لِي. (aiōnios ) |
“You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me. (aiōnios )
| اِعْمَلُوا لَا لِلطَّعَامِ ٱلْبَائِدِ، بَلْ لِلطَّعَامِ ٱلْبَاقِي لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ ٱلَّذِي يُعْطِيكُمُ ٱبْنُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ، لِأَنَّ هَذَا ٱللهُ ٱلْآبُ قَدْ خَتَمَهُ». (aiōnios ) |
Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.” (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّ هَذِهِ هِيَ مَشِيئَةُ ٱلَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي: أَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَرَى ٱلِٱبْنَ وَيُؤْمِنُ بِهِ تَكُونُ لَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ، وَأَنَا أُقِيمُهُ فِي ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِيرِ». (aiōnios ) |
This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” (aiōnios )
| اَلْحَقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِي فَلَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ. (aiōnios ) |
Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life. (aiōnios )
| أَنَا هُوَ ٱلْخُبْزُ ٱلْحَيُّ ٱلَّذِي نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ. إِنْ أَكَلَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ هَذَا ٱلْخُبْزِ يَحْيَا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. وَٱلْخُبْزُ ٱلَّذِي أَنَا أُعْطِي هُوَ جَسَدِي ٱلَّذِي أَبْذِلُهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ حَيَاةِ ٱلْعَالَمِ». (aiōn ) |
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” (aiōn )
| مَنْ يَأْكُلُ جَسَدِي وَيَشْرَبُ دَمِي فَلَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ، وَأَنَا أُقِيمُهُ فِي ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْأَخِيرِ، (aiōnios ) |
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (aiōnios )
| هَذَا هُوَ ٱلْخُبْزُ ٱلَّذِي نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ. لَيْسَ كَمَا أَكَلَ آبَاؤُكُمُ ٱلْمَنَّ وَمَاتُوا. مَنْ يَأْكُلْ هَذَا ٱلْخُبْزَ فَإِنَّهُ يَحْيَا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ». (aiōn ) |
This is the bread which came down out of heaven—not as our fathers ate the manna and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.” (aiōn )
| فَأَجَابَهُ سِمْعَانُ بُطْرُسُ: «يَارَبُّ، إِلَى مَنْ نَذْهَبُ؟ كَلَامُ ٱلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ عِنْدَكَ، (aiōnios ) |
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. (aiōnios )
| وَٱلْعَبْدُ لَا يَبْقَى فِي ٱلْبَيْتِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، أَمَّا ٱلِٱبْنُ فَيَبْقَى إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. (aiōn )
| اَلْحَقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يَحْفَظُ كَلَامِي فَلَنْ يَرَى ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ». (aiōn ) |
Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.” (aiōn )
| فَقَالَ لَهُ ٱلْيَهُودُ: ٱلْآنَ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّ بِكَ شَيْطَانًا. قَدْ مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَٱلْأَنْبِيَاءُ، وَأَنْتَ تَقُولُ: إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يَحْفَظُ كَلَامِي فَلَنْ يَذُوقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’ (aiōn )
| مُنْذُ ٱلدَّهْرِ لَمْ يُسْمَعْ أَنَّ أَحَدًا فَتَحَ عَيْنَيْ مَوْلُودٍ أَعْمَى. (aiōn ) |
Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind. (aiōn )
| وَأَنَا أُعْطِيهَا حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً، وَلَنْ تَهْلِكَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، وَلَا يَخْطَفُهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ يَدِي. (aiōn , aiōnios ) |
I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (aiōn , aiōnios )
| وَكُلُّ مَنْ كَانَ حَيًّا وَآمَنَ بِي فَلَنْ يَمُوتَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. أَتُؤْمِنِينَ بِهَذَا؟». (aiōn ) |
Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (aiōn )
| مَنْ يُحِبُّ نَفْسَهُ يُهْلِكُهَا، وَمَنْ يُبْغِضُ نَفْسَهُ فِي هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ يَحْفَظُهَا إِلَى حَيَاةٍ أَبَدِيَّةٍ. (aiōnios ) |
He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. (aiōnios )
| فَأَجَابَهُ ٱلْجَمْعُ: «نَحْنُ سَمِعْنَا مِنَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ أَنَّ ٱلْمَسِيحَ يَبْقَى إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، فَكَيْفَ تَقُولُ أَنْتَ إِنَّهُ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَرْتَفِعَ ٱبْنُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ؟ مَنْ هُوَ هَذَا ٱبْنُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ؟». (aiōn ) |
The multitude answered him, “We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” (aiōn )
| وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ وَصِيَّتَهُ هِيَ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ. فَمَا أَتَكَلَّمُ أَنَا بِهِ، فَكَمَا قَالَ لِي ٱلْآبُ هَكَذَا أَتَكَلَّمُ». (aiōnios ) |
I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.” (aiōnios )
| قَالَ لَهُ بُطْرُسُ: «لَنْ تَغْسِلَ رِجْلَيَّ أَبَدًا!». أَجَابَهُ يَسُوعُ: «إِنْ كُنْتُ لَا أَغْسِلُكَ فَلَيْسَ لَكَ مَعِي نَصِيبٌ». (aiōn ) |
Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.” (aiōn )
| وَأَنَا أَطْلُبُ مِنَ ٱلْآبِ فَيُعْطِيكُمْ مُعَزِّيًا آخَرَ لِيَمْكُثَ مَعَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، (aiōn ) |
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: (aiōn )
| إِذْ أَعْطَيْتَهُ سُلْطَانًا عَلَى كُلِّ جَسَدٍ لِيُعْطِيَ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً لِكُلِّ مَنْ أَعْطَيْتَهُ. (aiōnios ) |
even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him. (aiōnios )
| وَهَذِهِ هِيَ ٱلْحَيَاةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ: أَنْ يَعْرِفُوكَ أَنْتَ ٱلْإِلَهَ ٱلْحَقِيقِيَّ وَحْدَكَ وَيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱلَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَهُ. (aiōnios ) |
This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّكَ لَنْ تَتْرُكَ نَفْسِي فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ وَلَا تَدَعَ قُدُّوسَكَ يَرَى فَسَادًا. (Hadēs ) |
because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay. (Hadēs )
| سَبَقَ فَرَأَى وَتَكَلَّمَ عَنْ قِيَامَةِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، أَنَّهُ لَمْ تُتْرَكْ نَفْسُهُ فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ وَلَا رَأَى جَسَدُهُ فَسَادًا. (Hadēs ) |
he foreseeing this, spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay. (Hadēs )
| ٱلَّذِي يَنْبَغِي أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَاءَ تَقْبَلُهُ، إِلَى أَزْمِنَةِ رَدِّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ، ٱلَّتِي تَكَلَّمَ عَنْهَا ٱللهُ بِفَمِ جَمِيعِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ ٱلْقِدِّيسِينَ مُنْذُ ٱلدَّهْرِ. (aiōn ) |
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets. (aiōn )
| فَجَاهَرَ بُولُسُ وَبَرْنَابَا وَقَالَا: «كَانَ يَجِبُ أَنْ تُكَلَّمُوا أَنْتُمْ أَوَّلًا بِكَلِمَةِ ٱللهِ، وَلَكِنْ إِذْ دَفَعْتُمُوهَا عَنْكُمْ، وَحَكَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُسْتَحِقِّينَ لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ، هُوَذَا نَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَى ٱلْأُمَمِ. (aiōnios ) |
Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, “It was necessary that God’s word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios )
| فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ ٱلْأُمَمُ ذَلِكَ كَانُوا يَفْرَحُونَ وَيُمَجِّدُونَ كَلِمَةَ ٱلرَّبِّ. وَآمَنَ جَمِيعُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا مُعَيَّنِينَ لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios ) |
As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed. (aiōnios )
| مَعْلُومَةٌ عِنْدَ ٱلرَّبِّ مُنْذُ ٱلْأَزَلِ جَمِيعُ أَعْمَالِهِ. (aiōn ) |
“All of God’s works are known to him from eternity. (aiōn )
| لِأَنَّ أُمُورَهُ غَيْرَ ٱلْمَنْظُورَةِ تُرىَ مُنْذُ خَلْقِ ٱلْعَالَمِ مُدْرَكَةً بِٱلْمَصْنُوعَاتِ، قُدْرَتَهُ ٱلسَّرْمَدِيَّةَ وَلَاهُوتَهُ، حَتَّى إِنَّهُمْ بِلَا عُذْرٍ. (aïdios ) |
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. (aïdios )
| ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَبْدَلُوا حَقَّ ٱللهِ بِٱلْكَذِبِ، وَٱتَّقَوْا وَعَبَدُوا ٱلْمَخْلُوقَ دُونَ ٱلْخَالِقِ، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ مُبَارَكٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn )
| أَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ بِصَبْرٍ فِي ٱلْعَمَلِ ٱلصَّالِحِ يَطْلُبُونَ ٱلْمَجْدَ وَٱلْكَرَامَةَ وَٱلْبَقَاءَ، فَبِٱلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios ) |
to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life; (aiōnios )
| حَتَّى كَمَا مَلَكَتِ ٱلْخَطِيَّةُ فِي ٱلْمَوْتِ، هَكَذَا تَمْلِكُ ٱلنِّعْمَةُ بِٱلْبِرِّ، لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ، بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ رَبِّنَا. (aiōnios ) |
that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios )
| وَأَمَّا ٱلْآنَ إِذْ أُعْتِقْتُمْ مِنَ ٱلْخَطِيَّةِ، وَصِرْتُمْ عَبِيدًا لِلهِ، فَلَكُمْ ثَمَرُكُمْ لِلْقَدَاسَةِ، وَٱلنِّهَايَةُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ. (aiōnios ) |
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّ أُجْرَةَ ٱلْخَطِيَّةِ هِيَ مَوْتٌ، وَأَمَّا هِبَةُ ٱللهِ فَهِيَ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ بِٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ رَبِّنَا. (aiōnios ) |
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōnios )
| وَلَهُمُ ٱلْآبَاءُ، وَمِنْهُمُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ حَسَبَ ٱلْجَسَدِ، ٱلْكَائِنُ عَلَى ٱلْكُلِّ إِلَهًا مُبَارَكًا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
of whom are the fathers, and from whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen. (aiōn )
| «أَوْ: مَنْ يَهْبِطُ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ؟» أَيْ لِيُصْعِدَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ. (Abyssos ) |
or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)” (Abyssos )
| لِأَنَّ ٱللهَ أَغْلَقَ عَلَى ٱلْجَمِيعِ مَعًا فِي ٱلْعِصْيَانِ، لِكَيْ يَرْحَمَ ٱلْجَمِيعَ. (eleēsē ) |
For God has bound all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all. (eleēsē )
| لِأَنَّ مِنْهُ وَبِهِ وَلَهُ كُلَّ ٱلْأَشْيَاءِ. لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen. (aiōn )
| وَلَا تُشَاكِلُوا هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرَ، بَلْ تَغَيَّرُوا عَنْ شَكْلِكُمْ بِتَجْدِيدِ أَذْهَانِكُمْ، لِتَخْتَبِرُوا مَا هِيَ إِرَادَةُ ٱللهِ: ٱلصَّالِحَةُ ٱلْمَرْضِيَّةُ ٱلْكَامِلَةُ. (aiōn ) |
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (aiōn )
| وَلِلْقَادِرِ أَنْ يُثَبِّتَكُمْ، حَسَبَ إِنْجِيلِي وَٱلْكِرَازَةِ بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، حَسَبَ إِعْلَانِ ٱلسِّرِّ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ مَكْتُومًا فِي ٱلْأَزْمِنَةِ ٱلْأَزَلِيَّةِ، (aiōnios ) |
Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages, (aiōnios )
| وَلَكِنْ ظَهَرَ ٱلْآنَ، وَأُعْلِمَ بِهِ جَمِيعُ ٱلْأُمَمِ بِٱلْكُتُبِ ٱلنَّبَوِيَّةِ حَسَبَ أَمْرِ ٱلْإِلَهِ ٱلْأَزَلِيِّ، لِإِطَاعَةِ ٱلْإِيمَانِ، (aiōnios ) |
but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations; (aiōnios )
| لِلهِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ وَحْدَهُ، بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. آمِينَ. -كُتِبَتْ إِلَى أَهْلِ رْومِيَةَ مِنْ كُورِنْثُوسَ عَلَى يَدِ فِيبِي خَادِمَةِ كَنِيسَةِ كَنْخَرِيَا- (aiōn ) |
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen. (aiōn )
| أَيْنَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ؟ أَيْنَ ٱلْكَاتِبُ؟ أَيْنَ مُبَاحِثُ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ؟ أَلَمْ يُجَهِّلِ ٱللهُ حِكْمَةَ هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ؟ (aiōn ) |
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (aiōn )
| لَكِنَّنَا نَتَكَلَّمُ بِحِكْمَةٍ بَيْنَ ٱلْكَامِلِينَ، وَلَكِنْ بِحِكْمَةٍ لَيْسَتْ مِنْ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ، وَلَا مِنْ عُظَمَاءِ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ، ٱلَّذِينَ يُبْطَلُونَ. (aiōn ) |
We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this world nor of the rulers of this world who are coming to nothing. (aiōn )
| بَلْ نَتَكَلَّمُ بِحِكْمَةِ ٱللهِ فِي سِرٍّ: ٱلْحِكْمَةِ ٱلْمَكْتُومَةِ، ٱلَّتِي سَبَقَ ٱللهُ فَعَيَّنَهَا قَبْلَ ٱلدُّهُورِ لِمَجْدِنَا، (aiōn ) |
But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory, (aiōn )
| ٱلَّتِي لَمْ يَعْلَمْهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ عُظَمَاءِ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ، لِأَنْ لَوْ عَرَفُوا لَمَا صَلَبُوا رَبَّ ٱلْمَجْدِ. (aiōn ) |
which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory. (aiōn )
| لَا يَخْدَعَنَّ أَحَدٌ نَفْسَهُ. إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ يَظُنُّ أَنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ بَيْنَكُمْ فِي هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ، فَلْيَصِرْ جَاهِلًا لِكَيْ يَصِيرَ حَكِيمًا! (aiōn ) |
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise. (aiōn )
| لِذَلِكَ إِنْ كَانَ طَعَامٌ يُعْثِرُ أَخِي فَلَنْ آكُلَ لَحْمًا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، لِئَلَّا أُعْثِرَ أَخِي. (aiōn ) |
Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble. (aiōn )
| فَهَذِهِ ٱلْأُمُورُ جَمِيعُهَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مِثَالًا، وَكُتِبَتْ لإِنْذَارِنَا نَحْنُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱنْتَهَتْ إِلَيْنَا أَوَاخِرُ ٱلدُّهُورِ. (aiōn ) |
Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. (aiōn )
| «أَيْنَ شَوْكَتُكَ يَا مَوْتُ؟ أَيْنَ غَلَبَتُكِ يَا هَاوِيَةُ؟» (Hadēs ) |
“Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” (Hadēs )
| ٱلَّذِينَ فِيهِمْ إِلَهُ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ قَدْ أَعْمَى أَذْهَانَ غَيْرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ، لِئَلَّا تُضِيءَ لَهُمْ إِنَارَةُ إِنْجِيلِ مَجْدِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ صُورَةُ ٱللهِ. (aiōn ) |
in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. (aiōn )
| لِأَنَّ خِفَّةَ ضِيقَتِنَا ٱلْوَقْتِيَّةَ تُنْشِئُ لَنَا أَكْثَرَ فَأَكْثَرَ ثِقَلَ مَجْدٍ أَبَدِيًّا. (aiōnios ) |
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory, (aiōnios )
| وَنَحْنُ غَيْرُ نَاظِرِينَ إِلَى ٱلْأَشْيَاءِ ٱلَّتِي تُرَى، بَلْ إِلَى ٱلَّتِي لَا تُرَى. لِأَنَّ ٱلَّتِي تُرَى وَقْتِيَّةٌ، وَأَمَّا ٱلَّتِي لَا تُرَى فَأَبَدِيَّةٌ. (aiōnios ) |
while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّنَا نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ إِنْ نُقِضَ بَيْتُ خَيْمَتِنَا ٱلْأَرْضِيُّ، فَلَنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ بِنَاءٌ مِنَ ٱللهِ، بَيْتٌ غَيْرُ مَصْنُوعٍ بِيَدٍ، أَبَدِيٌّ. (aiōnios ) |
For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. (aiōnios )
| كَمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ: «فَرَّقَ. أَعْطَى ٱلْمَسَاكِينَ. بِرُّهُ يَبْقَى إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ». (aiōn ) |
As it is written, “He has scattered abroad. He has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.” (aiōn )
| ٱللهُ أَبُو رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ مُبَارَكٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، يَعْلَمُ أَنِّي لَسْتُ أَكْذِبُ. (aiōn ) |
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, he who is blessed forever more, knows that I don’t lie. (aiōn )
| ٱلَّذِي بَذَلَ نَفْسَهُ لِأَجْلِ خَطَايَانَا، لِيُنْقِذَنَا مِنَ ٱلْعَالَمِ ٱلْحَاضِرِ ٱلشِّرِّيرِ حَسَبَ إِرَادَةِ ٱللهِ وَأَبِينَا، (aiōn ) |
who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father— (aiōn )
| ٱلَّذِي لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| لِأَنَّ مَنْ يَزْرَعُ لِجَسَدِهِ فَمِنَ ٱلْجَسَدِ يَحْصُدُ فَسَادًا، وَمَنْ يَزْرَعُ لِلرُّوحِ فَمِنَ ٱلرُّوحِ يَحْصُدُ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً. (aiōnios ) |
For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. (aiōnios )
| فَوْقَ كُلِّ رِيَاسَةٍ وَسُلْطَانٍ وَقُوَّةٍ وَسِيَادَةٍ، وَكُلِّ ٱسْمٍ يُسَمَّى لَيْسَ فِي هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ فَقَطْ بَلْ فِي ٱلْمُسْتَقْبَلِ أَيْضًا، (aiōn ) |
far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. (aiōn )
| ٱلَّتِي سَلَكْتُمْ فِيهَا قَبْلًا حَسَبَ دَهْرِ هَذَا ٱلْعَالَمِ، حَسَبَ رَئِيسِ سُلْطَانِ ٱلْهَوَاءِ، ٱلرُّوحِ ٱلَّذِي يَعْمَلُ ٱلْآنَ فِي أَبْنَاءِ ٱلْمَعْصِيَةِ، (aiōn ) |
in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience. (aiōn )
| لِيُظْهِرَ فِي ٱلدُّهُورِ ٱلْآتِيَةِ غِنَى نِعْمَتِهِ ٱلْفَائِقَ، بِٱللُّطْفِ عَلَيْنَا فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ. (aiōn ) |
that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; (aiōn )
| وَأُنِيرَ ٱلْجَمِيعَ فِي مَا هُوَ شَرِكَةُ ٱلسِّرِّ ٱلْمَكْتُومِ مُنْذُ ٱلدُّهُورِ فِي ٱللهِ خَالِقِ ٱلْجَمِيعِ بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. (aiōn ) |
and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ, (aiōn )
| حَسَبَ قَصْدِ ٱلدُّهُورِ ٱلَّذِي صَنَعَهُ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ رَبِّنَا. (aiōn ) |
according to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn )
| لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ فِي ٱلْكَنِيسَةِ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ إِلَى جَمِيعِ أَجْيَالِ دَهْرِ ٱلدُّهُورِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| فَإِنَّ مُصَارَعَتَنَا لَيْسَتْ مَعَ دَمٍ وَلَحْمٍ، بَلْ مَعَ ٱلرُّؤَسَاءِ، مَعَ ٱلسَّلَاطِينِ، مَعَ وُلَاةِ ٱلْعَالَمِ عَلَى ظُلْمَةِ هَذَا ٱلدَّهْرِ، مَعَ أَجْنَادِ ٱلشَّرِّ ٱلرُّوحِيَّةِ فِي ٱلسَّمَاوِيَّاتِ. (aiōn ) |
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn )
| وَلِلهِ وَأَبِينَا ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى دَهْرِ ٱلدَّاهِرِينَ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen. (aiōn )
| ٱلسِّرِّ ٱلْمَكْتُومِ مُنْذُ ٱلدُّهُورِ وَمُنْذُ ٱلْأَجْيَالِ، لَكِنَّهُ ٱلْآنَ قَدْ أُظْهِرَ لِقِدِّيسِيهِ، (aiōn ) |
the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints, (aiōn )
| ٱلَّذِينَ سَيُعَاقَبُونَ بِهَلَاكٍ أَبَدِيٍّ مِنْ وَجْهِ ٱلرَّبِّ وَمِنْ مَجْدِ قُوَّتِهِ، (aiōnios ) |
who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios )
| وَرَبُّنَا نَفْسُهُ يَسُوعُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ، وَٱللهُ أَبُونَا ٱلَّذِي أَحَبَّنَا وَأَعْطَانَا عَزَاءً أَبَدِيًّا وَرَجَاءً صَالِحًا بِٱلنِّعْمَةِ، (aiōnios ) |
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, (aiōnios )
| لَكِنَّنِي لِهَذَا رُحِمْتُ: لِيُظْهِرَ يَسُوعُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ فِيَّ أَنَا أَوَّلًا كُلَّ أَنَاةٍ، مِثَالًا لِلْعَتِيدِينَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios ) |
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life. (aiōnios )
| وَمَلِكُ ٱلدُّهُورِ ٱلَّذِي لَا يَفْنَى وَلَا يُرَى، ٱلْإِلَهُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ وَحْدَهُ، لَهُ ٱلْكَرَامَةُ وَٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى دَهْرِ ٱلدُّهُورِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| جَاهِدْ جِهَادَ ٱلْإِيمَانِ ٱلْحَسَنَ، وَأَمْسِكْ بِٱلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ ٱلَّتِي إِلَيْهَا دُعِيتَ أَيْضًا، وَٱعْتَرَفْتَ ٱلِٱعْتِرَافَ ٱلْحَسَنَ أَمَامَ شُهُودٍ كَثِيرِينَ. (aiōnios ) |
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. (aiōnios )
| ٱلَّذِي وَحْدَهُ لَهُ عَدَمُ ٱلْمَوْتِ، سَاكِنًا فِي نُورٍ لَا يُدْنَى مِنْهُ، ٱلَّذِي لَمْ يَرَهُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَرَاهُ، ٱلَّذِي لَهُ ٱلْكَرَامَةُ وَٱلْقُدْرَةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ. آمِينَ. (aiōnios ) |
He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen. (aiōnios )
| أَوْصِ ٱلْأَغْنِيَاءَ فِي ٱلدَّهْرِ ٱلْحَاضِرِ أَنْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُوا، وَلَا يُلْقُوا رَجَاءَهُمْ عَلَى غَيْرِ يَقِينِيَّةِ ٱلْغِنَى، بَلْ عَلَى ٱللهِ ٱلْحَيِّ ٱلَّذِي يَمْنَحُنَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِغِنًى لِلتَّمَتُّعِ. (aiōn ) |
Charge those who are rich in this present age that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; (aiōn )
| ٱلَّذِي خَلَّصَنَا وَدَعَانَا دَعْوَةً مُقَدَّسَةً، لَا بِمُقْتَضَى أَعْمَالِنَا، بَلْ بِمُقْتَضَى ٱلْقَصْدِ وَٱلنِّعْمَةِ ٱلَّتِي أُعْطِيَتْ لَنَا فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ قَبْلَ ٱلْأَزْمِنَةِ ٱلْأَزَلِيَّةِ، (aiōnios ) |
who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal, (aiōnios )
| لِأَجْلِ ذَلِكَ أَنَا أَصْبِرُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْمُخْتَارِينَ، لِكَيْ يَحْصُلُوا هُمْ أَيْضًا عَلَى ٱلْخَلَاصِ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، مَعَ مَجْدٍ أَبَدِيٍّ. (aiōnios ) |
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّ دِيمَاسَ قَدْ تَرَكَنِي إِذْ أَحَبَّ ٱلْعَالَمَ ٱلْحَاضِرَ وَذَهَبَ إِلَى تَسَالُونِيكِي، وَكِرِيسْكِيسَ إِلَى غَلَاطِيَّةَ، وَتِيطُسَ إِلَى دَلْمَاطِيَّةَ. (aiōn ) |
for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; and Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn )
| وَسَيُنْقِذُنِي ٱلرَّبُّ مِنْ كُلِّ عَمَلٍ رَدِيءٍ وَيُخَلِّصُنِي لِمَلَكُوتِهِ ٱلسَّمَاوِيِّ. ٱلَّذِي لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى دَهْرِ ٱلدُّهُورِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| عَلَى رَجَاءِ ٱلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ، ٱلَّتِي وَعَدَ بِهَا ٱللهُ ٱلْمُنَزَّهُ عَنِ ٱلْكَذِبِ، قَبْلَ ٱلْأَزْمِنَةِ ٱلْأَزَلِيَّةِ، (aiōnios ) |
in hope of eternal life, which God, who can’t lie, promised before time began; (aiōnios )
| مُعَلِّمَةً إِيَّانَا أَنْ نُنْكِرَ ٱلْفُجُورَ وَٱلشَّهَوَاتِ ٱلْعَالَمِيَّةَ، وَنَعِيشَ بِٱلتَّعَقُّلِ وَٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَى فِي ٱلْعَالَمِ ٱلْحَاضِرِ، (aiōn ) |
instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; (aiōn )
| حَتَّى إِذَا تَبَرَّرْنَا بِنِعْمَتِهِ، نَصِيرُ وَرَثَةً حَسَبَ رَجَاءِ ٱلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios ) |
that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّهُ رُبَّمَا لِأَجْلِ هَذَا ٱفْتَرَقَ عَنْكَ إِلَى سَاعَةٍ، لِكَيْ يَكُونَ لَكَ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، (aiōnios ) |
For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while that you would have him forever, (aiōnios )
| كَلَّمَنَا فِي هَذِهِ ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْأَخِيرَةِ فِي ٱبْنِهِ، ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَهُ وَارِثًا لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ، ٱلَّذِي بِهِ أَيْضًا عَمِلَ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ، (aiōn ) |
has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. (aiōn )
| وَأَمَّا عَنْ ٱلِٱبْنِ: «كُرْسِيُّكَ يَا ٱللهُ، إِلَى دَهْرِ ٱلدُّهُورِ. قَضِيبُ ٱسْتِقَامَةٍ قَضِيبُ مُلْكِكَ. (aiōn ) |
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom. (aiōn )
| كَمَا يَقُولُ أَيْضًا فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ: «أَنْتَ كَاهِنٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ عَلَى رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِي صَادَقَ». (aiōn ) |
As he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
| وَإِذْ كُمِّلَ صَارَ لِجَمِيعِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُطِيعُونَهُ، سَبَبَ خَلَاصٍ أَبَدِيٍّ، (aiōnios ) |
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation, (aiōnios )
| تَعْلِيمَ ٱلْمَعْمُودِيَّاتِ، وَوَضْعَ ٱلْأَيَادِي، قِيَامَةَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ، وَٱلدَّيْنُونَةَ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةَ، (aiōnios ) |
of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (aiōnios )
| وَذَاقُوا كَلِمَةَ ٱللهِ ٱلصَّالِحَةَ وَقُوَّاتِ ٱلدَّهْرِ ٱلْآتِي، (aiōn ) |
and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, (aiōn )
| حَيْثُ دَخَلَ يَسُوعُ كَسَابِقٍ لِأَجْلِنَا، صَائِرًا عَلَى رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِي صَادَقَ، رَئِيسَ كَهَنَةٍ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn )
| لِأَنَّهُ يَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ: «كَاهِنٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ عَلَى رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِي صَادَقَ». (aiōn ) |
for it is testified, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn )
| لِأَنَّ أُولَئِكَ بِدُونِ قَسَمٍ قَدْ صَارُوا كَهَنَةً، وَأَمَّا هَذَا فَبِقَسَمٍ مِنَ ٱلْقَائِلِ لَهُ: «أَقْسَمَ ٱلرَّبُّ وَلَنْ يَنْدَمَ، أَنْتَ كَاهِنٌ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ عَلَى رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِي صَادَقَ». (aiōn ) |
(for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’” (aiōn )
| وَأَمَّا هَذَا فَمِنْ أَجْلِ أَنَّهُ يَبْقَى إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، لَهُ كَهَنُوتٌ لَا يَزُولُ. (aiōn ) |
But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable. (aiōn )
| فَإِنَّ ٱلنَّامُوسَ يُقِيمُ أُنَاسًا بِهِمْ ضَعْفٌ رُؤَسَاءَ كَهَنَةٍ. وَأَمَّا كَلِمَةُ ٱلْقَسَمِ ٱلَّتِي بَعْدَ ٱلنَّامُوسِ فَتُقِيمُ ٱبْنًا مُكَمَّلًا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son forever who has been perfected. (aiōn )
| وَلَيْسَ بِدَمِ تُيُوسٍ وَعُجُولٍ، بَلْ بِدَمِ نَفْسِهِ، دَخَلَ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً إِلَى ٱلْأَقْدَاسِ، فَوَجَدَ فِدَاءً أَبَدِيًّا. (aiōnios ) |
nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption. (aiōnios )
| فَكَمْ بِٱلْحَرِيِّ يَكُونُ دَمُ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، ٱلَّذِي بِرُوحٍ أَزَلِيٍّ قَدَّمَ نَفْسَهُ لِلهِ بِلَا عَيْبٍ، يُطَهِّرُ ضَمَائِرَكُمْ مِنْ أَعْمَالٍ مَيِّتَةٍ لِتَخْدِمُوا ٱللهَ ٱلْحَيَّ! (aiōnios ) |
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (aiōnios )
| وَلِأَجْلِ هَذَا هُوَ وَسِيطُ عَهْدٍ جَدِيدٍ، لِكَيْ يَكُونَ ٱلْمَدْعُوُّونَ - إِذْ صَارَ مَوْتٌ لِفِدَاءِ ٱلتَّعَدِّيَاتِ ٱلَّتِي فِي ٱلْعَهْدِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ - يَنَالُونَ وَعْدَ ٱلْمِيرَاثِ ٱلْأَبَدِيِّ. (aiōnios ) |
For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. (aiōnios )
| فَإِذْ ذَاكَ كَانَ يَجِبُ أَنْ يَتَأَلَّمَ مِرَارًا كَثِيرَةً مُنْذُ تَأْسِيسِ ٱلْعَالَمِ، وَلَكِنَّهُ ٱلْآنَ قَدْ أُظْهِرَ مَرَّةً عِنْدَ ٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلدُّهُورِ لِيُبْطِلَ ٱلْخَطِيَّةَ بِذَبِيحَةِ نَفْسِهِ. (aiōn ) |
or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn )
| بِٱلْإِيمَانِ نَفْهَمُ أَنَّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ أُتْقِنَتْ بِكَلِمَةِ ٱللهِ، حَتَّى لَمْ يَتَكَوَّنْ مَا يُرَى مِمَّا هُوَ ظَاهِرٌ. (aiōn ) |
By faith we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible. (aiōn )
| يَسُوعُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ هُوَ هُوَ أَمْسًا وَٱلْيَوْمَ وَإِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (aiōn )
| وَإِلَهُ ٱلسَّلَامِ ٱلَّذِي أَقَامَ مِنَ ٱلْأَمْوَاتِ رَاعِيَ ٱلْخِرَافِ ٱلْعَظِيمَ، رَبَّنَا يَسُوعَ، بِدَمِ ٱلْعَهْدِ ٱلْأَبَدِيِّ، (aiōnios ) |
Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, (aiōnios )
| لِيُكَمِّلْكُمْ فِي كُلِّ عَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ لِتَصْنَعُوا مَشِيئَتَهُ، عَامِلًا فِيكُمْ مَا يُرْضِي أَمَامَهُ بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، ٱلَّذِي لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| فَٱللِّسَانُ نَارٌ! عَالَمُ ٱلْإِثْمِ. هَكَذَا جُعِلَ فِي أَعْضَائِنَا ٱللِّسَانُ، ٱلَّذِي يُدَنِّسُ ٱلْجِسْمَ كُلَّهُ، وَيُضْرِمُ دَائِرَةَ ٱلْكَوْنِ، وَيُضْرَمُ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ. (Geenna ) |
And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. (Geenna )
| مَوْلُودِينَ ثَانِيَةً، لَا مِنْ زَرْعٍ يَفْنَى، بَلْ مِمَّا لَا يَفْنَى، بِكَلِمَةِ ٱللهِ ٱلْحَيَّةِ ٱلْبَاقِيَةِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever. (aiōn )
| وَأَمَّا كَلِمَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ فَتَثْبُتُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ». وَهَذِهِ هِيَ ٱلْكَلِمَةُ ٱلَّتِي بُشِّرْتُمْ بِهَا. (aiōn ) |
but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you. (aiōn )
| إِنْ كَانَ يَتَكَلَّمُ أَحَدٌ فَكَأَقْوَالِ ٱللهِ. وَإِنْ كَانَ يَخْدِمُ أَحَدٌ فَكَأَنَّهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ يَمْنَحُهَا ٱللهُ، لِكَيْ يَتَمَجَّدَ ٱللهُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ بِيَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ، ٱلَّذِي لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلسُّلْطَانُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| وَإِلَهُ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ ٱلَّذِي دَعَانَا إِلَى مَجْدِهِ ٱلْأَبَدِيِّ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، بَعْدَمَا تَأَلَّمْتُمْ يَسِيرًا، هُوَ يُكَمِّلُكُمْ، وَيُثَبِّتُكُمْ، وَيُقَوِّيكُمْ، وَيُمَكِّنُكُمْ. (aiōnios ) |
But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. (aiōnios )
| لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلسُّلْطَانُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| لِأَنَّهُ هَكَذَا يُقَدَّمُ لَكُمْ بِسِعَةٍ دُخُولٌ إِلَى مَلَكُوتِ رَبِّنَا وَمُخَلِّصِنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ ٱلْأَبَدِيِّ. (aiōnios ) |
For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
| لِأَنَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ ٱللهُ لَمْ يُشْفِقْ عَلَى مَلَائِكَةٍ قَدْ أَخْطَأُوا، بَلْ فِي سَلَاسِلِ ٱلظَّلَامِ طَرَحَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ، وَسَلَّمَهُمْ مَحْرُوسِينَ لِلْقَضَاءِ، (Tartaroō ) |
For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment; (Tartaroō )
| وَلَكِنِ ٱنْمُوا فِي ٱلنِّعْمَةِ وَفِي مَعْرِفَةِ رَبِّنَا وَمُخَلِّصِنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ ٱلْآنَ وَإِلَى يَوْمِ ٱلدَّهْرِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. (aiōn )
| فَإِنَّ ٱلْحَيَاةَ أُظْهِرَتْ، وَقَدْ رَأَيْنَا وَنَشْهَدُ وَنُخْبِرُكُمْ بِٱلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ ٱلَّتِي كَانَتْ عِنْدَ ٱلْآبِ وَأُظْهِرَتْ لَنَا. (aiōnios ) |
(and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us); (aiōnios )
| وَٱلْعَالَمُ يَمْضِي وَشَهْوَتُهُ، وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِي يَصْنَعُ مَشِيئَةَ ٱللهِ فَيَثْبُتُ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. (aiōn )
| وَهَذَا هُوَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلَّذِي وَعَدَنَا هُوَ بِهِ: ٱلْحَيَاةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ. (aiōnios ) |
This is the promise which he promised us, the eternal life. (aiōnios )
| كُلُّ مَنْ يُبْغِضُ أَخَاهُ فَهُوَ قَاتِلُ نَفْسٍ، وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ كُلَّ قَاتِلِ نَفْسٍ لَيْسَ لَهُ حَيَاةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ ثَابِتَةٌ فِيهِ. (aiōnios ) |
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him. (aiōnios )
| وَهَذِهِ هِيَ ٱلشَّهَادَةُ: أَنَّ ٱللهَ أَعْطَانَا حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً، وَهَذِهِ ٱلْحَيَاةُ هِيَ فِي ٱبْنِهِ. (aiōnios ) |
The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios )
| كَتَبْتُ هَذَا إِلَيْكُمْ، أَنْتُمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِٱسْمِ ٱبْنِ ٱللهِ، لِكَيْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ لَكُمْ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّةً، وَلِكَيْ تُؤْمِنُوا بِٱسْمِ ٱبْنِ ٱللهِ. (aiōnios ) |
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios )
| وَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ ٱبْنَ ٱللهِ قَدْ جَاءَ وَأَعْطَانَا بَصِيرَةً لِنَعْرِفَ ٱلْحَقَّ. وَنَحْنُ فِي ٱلْحَقِّ فِي ٱبْنِهِ يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ. هَذَا هُوَ ٱلْإِلَهُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلْحَيَاةُ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةُ. (aiōnios ) |
We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (aiōnios )
| مِنْ أَجْلِ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِي يَثْبُتُ فِينَا وَسَيَكُونُ مَعَنَا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ: (aiōn ) |
for the truth’s sake, which remains in us, and it will be with us forever: (aiōn )
| وَٱلْمَلَائِكَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَحْفَظُوا رِيَاسَتَهُمْ، بَلْ تَرَكُوا مَسْكَنَهُمْ حَفِظَهُمْ إِلَى دَيْنُونَةِ ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ بِقُيُودٍ أَبَدِيَّةٍ تَحْتَ ٱلظَّلَامِ. (aïdios ) |
Angels who didn’t keep their first domain, but deserted their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day. (aïdios )
| كَمَا أَنَّ سَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ وَٱلْمُدُنَ ٱلَّتِي حَوْلَهُمَا، إِذْ زَنَتْ عَلَى طَرِيقٍ مِثْلِهِمَا، وَمَضَتْ وَرَاءَ جَسَدٍ آخَرَ، جُعِلَتْ عِبْرَةً، مُكَابِدَةً عِقَابَ نَارٍ أَبَدِيَّةٍ. (aiōnios ) |
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having in the same way as these given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are shown as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire. (aiōnios )
| أَمْوَاجُ بَحْرٍ هَائِجَةٌ مُزْبِدَةٌ بِخِزْيِهِمْ. نُجُومٌ تَائِهَةٌ مَحْفُوظٌ لَهَا قَتَامُ ٱلظَّلَامِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. (aiōn ) |
wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever. (aiōn )
| وَٱحْفَظُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ فِي مَحَبَّةِ ٱللهِ، مُنْتَظِرِينَ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ لِلْحَيَاةِ ٱلْأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios ) |
Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. (aiōnios )
| ٱلْإِلَهُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْوَحِيدُ مُخَلِّصُنَا، لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلْعَظَمَةُ وَٱلْقُدْرَةُ وَٱلسُّلْطَانُ، ٱلْآنَ وَإِلَى كُلِّ ٱلدُّهُورِ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. (aiōn )
| وَجَعَلَنَا مُلُوكًا وَكَهَنَةً لِلهِ أَبِيهِ، لَهُ ٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلسُّلْطَانُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ. (aiōn ) |
and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father—to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
| وَٱلْحَيُّ. وَكُنْتُ مَيْتًا، وَهَا أَنَا حَيٌّ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ! آمِينَ. وَلِي مَفَاتِيحُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ وَٱلْمَوْتِ. (aiōn , Hadēs ) |
and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades. (aiōn , Hadēs )
| وَحِينَمَا تُعْطِي ٱلْحَيَوَانَاتُ مَجْدًا وَكَرَامَةً وَشُكْرًا لِلْجَالِسِ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ، ٱلْحَيِّ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ، (aiōn ) |
When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever, (aiōn )
| يَخِرُّ ٱلْأَرْبَعَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ شَيْخًا قُدَّامَ ٱلْجَالِسِ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ، وَيَسْجُدُونَ لِلْحَيِّ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ، وَيَطْرَحُونَ أَكَالِيلَهُمْ أَمَامَ ٱلْعَرْشِ قَائِلِينَ: (aiōn ) |
the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying, (aiōn )
| وَكُلُّ خَلِيقَةٍ مِمَّا فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ وَعَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَتَحْتَ ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَمَا عَلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ، كُلُّ مَا فِيهَا، سَمِعْتُهَا قَائِلَةً: «لِلْجَالِسِ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ وَلِلْخَرُوفِ ٱلْبَرَكَةُ وَٱلْكَرَامَةُ وَٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلسُّلْطَانُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ». (aiōn ) |
I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!” (aiōn )
| فَنَظَرْتُ وَإِذَا فَرَسٌ أَخْضَرُ، وَٱلْجَالِسُ عَلَيْهِ ٱسْمُهُ ٱلْمَوْتُ، وَٱلْهَاوِيَةُ تَتْبَعُهُ، وَأُعْطِيَا سُلْطَانًا عَلَى رُبْعِ ٱلْأَرْضِ أَنْ يَقْتُلَا بِٱلسَّيْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْمَوْتِ وَبِوُحُوشِ ٱلْأَرْضِ. (Hadēs ) |
And behold, a pale horse, and the name of he who sat on it was Death. Hades followed with him. Authority over one fourth of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine, with death, and by the wild animals of the earth was given to him. (Hadēs )
| قَائِلِينَ: «آمِينَ! ٱلْبَرَكَةُ وَٱلْمَجْدُ وَٱلْحِكْمَةُ وَٱلشُّكْرُ وَٱلْكَرَامَةُ وَٱلْقُدْرَةُ وَٱلْقُوَّةُ لِإِلَهِنَا إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ!». (aiōn ) |
saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” (aiōn )
| ثُمَّ بَوَّقَ ٱلْمَلَاكُ ٱلْخَامِسُ، فَرَأَيْتُ كَوْكَبًا قَدْ سَقَطَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَأُعْطِيَ مِفْتَاحَ بِئْرِ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ. (Abyssos ) |
The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. (Abyssos )
| فَفَتَحَ بِئْرَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، فَصَعِدَ دُخَانٌ مِنَ ٱلْبِئْرِ كَدُخَانِ أَتُونٍ عَظِيمٍ، فَأَظْلَمَتِ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْجَوُّ مِنْ دُخَانِ ٱلْبِئْرِ. (Abyssos ) |
He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos )
| وَلَهَا مَلَاكُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ مَلِكًا عَلَيْهَا، ٱسْمُهُ بِٱلْعِبْرَانِيَّةِ «أَبَدُّونَ»، وَلَهُ بِٱلْيُونَانِيَّةِ ٱسْمُ «أَبُولِّيُّونَ». (Abyssos ) |
They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon”, but in Greek, he has the name “Apollyon”. (Abyssos )
| وَأَقْسَمَ بِٱلْحَيِّ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ، ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَاءَ وَمَا فِيهَا، وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا فِيهَا، وَٱلْبَحْرَ وَمَا فِيهِ: أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ زَمَانٌ بَعْدُ! (aiōn ) |
and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay, (aiōn )
| وَمَتَى تَمَّمَا شَهَادَتَهُمَا، فَٱلْوَحْشُ ٱلصَّاعِدُ مِنَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ سَيَصْنَعُ مَعَهُمَا حَرْبًا وَيَغْلِبُهُمَا وَيَقْتُلُهُمَا. (Abyssos ) |
When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos )
| ثُمَّ بَوَّقَ ٱلْمَلَاكُ ٱلسَّابِعُ، فَحَدَثَتْ أَصْوَاتٌ عَظِيمَةٌ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ قَائِلَةً: «قَدْ صَارَتْ مَمَالِكُ ٱلْعَالَمِ لِرَبِّنَا وَمَسِيحِهِ، فَسَيَمْلِكُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ». (aiōn ) |
The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!” (aiōn )
| ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ مَلَاكًا آخَرَ طَائِرًا فِي وَسَطِ ٱلسَّمَاءِ مَعَهُ بِشَارَةٌ أَبَدِيَّةٌ، لِيُبَشِّرَ ٱلسَّاكِنِينَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَكُلَّ أُمَّةٍ وَقَبِيلَةٍ وَلِسَانٍ وَشَعْبٍ، (aiōnios ) |
I saw an angel flying in mid heaven, having an eternal Good News to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language, and people. (aiōnios )
| وَيَصْعَدُ دُخَانُ عَذَابِهِمْ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. وَلَا تَكُونُ رَاحَةٌ نَهَارًا وَلَيْلًا لِلَّذِينَ يَسْجُدُونَ لِلْوَحْشِ وَلِصُورَتِهِ وَلِكُلِّ مَنْ يَقْبَلُ سِمَةَ ٱسْمِهِ». (aiōn ) |
The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. (aiōn )
| وَوَاحِدٌ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْبَعَةِ ٱلْحَيَوَانَاتِ أَعْطَى ٱلسَّبْعَةَ ٱلْمَلَائِكَةِ سَبْعَةَ جَامَاتٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، مَمْلُوَّةٍ مِنْ غَضَبِ ٱللهِ ٱلْحَيِّ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. (aiōn ) |
One of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. (aiōn )
| ٱلْوَحْشُ ٱلَّذِي رَأَيْتَ، كَانَ وَلَيْسَ ٱلْآنَ، وَهُوَ عَتِيدٌ أَنْ يَصْعَدَ مِنَ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ وَيَمْضِيَ إِلَى ٱلْهَلَاكِ. وَسَيَتَعَجَّبُ ٱلسَّاكِنُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ، ٱلَّذِينَ لَيْسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُهُمْ مَكْتُوبَةً فِي سِفْرِ ٱلْحَيَاةِ مُنْذُ تَأْسِيسِ ٱلْعَالَمِ، حِينَمَا يَرَوْنَ ٱلْوَحْشَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ وَلَيْسَ ٱلْآنَ، مَعَ أَنَّهُ كَائِنٌ. The beast that you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss and to go into destruction. Those who dwell on the earth and whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel when they see that the beast was, and is not, and shall be present. (Abyssos )
| وَقَالُوا ثَانِيَةً: «هَلِّلُويَا! وَدُخَانُهَا يَصْعَدُ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ». (aiōn ) |
A second said, “Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever.” (aiōn )
| فَقُبِضَ عَلَى ٱلْوَحْشِ وَٱلنَّبِيِّ ٱلْكَذَّابِ مَعَهُ، ٱلصَّانِعِ قُدَّامَهُ ٱلْآيَاتِ ٱلَّتِي بِهَا أَضَلَّ ٱلَّذِينَ قَبِلُوا سِمَةَ ٱلْوَحْشِ وَٱلَّذِينَ سَجَدُوا لِصُورَتِهِ. وَطُرِحَ ٱلِٱثْنَانِ حَيَّيْنِ إِلَى بُحَيْرَةِ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلْمُتَّقِدَةِ بِٱلْكِبْرِيتِ. (Limnē Pyr ) |
The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. (Limnē Pyr )
| وَرَأَيْتُ مَلَاكًا نَازِلًا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ مَعَهُ مِفْتَاحُ ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، وَسِلْسِلَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ عَلَى يَدِهِ. (Abyssos ) |
I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos )
| وَطَرَحَهُ فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ وَأَغْلَقَ عَلَيْهِ، وَخَتَمَ عَلَيْهِ لِكَيْ لَا يُضِلَّ ٱلْأُمَمَ فِي مَا بَعْدُ، حَتَّى تَتِمَّ ٱلْأَلْفُ ٱلسَّنَةِ. وَبَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَابُدَّ أَنْ يُحَلَّ زَمَانًا يَسِيرًا. (Abyssos ) |
and cast him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time. (Abyssos )
| وَإِبْلِيسُ ٱلَّذِي كَانَ يُضِلُّهُمْ طُرِحَ فِي بُحَيْرَةِ ٱلنَّارِ وَٱلْكِبْرِيتِ، حَيْثُ ٱلْوَحْشُ وَٱلنَّبِيُّ ٱلْكَذَّابُ. وَسَيُعَذَّبُونَ نَهَارًا وَلَيْلًا إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr ) |
The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (aiōn , Limnē Pyr )
| وَسَلَّمَ ٱلْبَحْرُ ٱلْأَمْوَاتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِيهِ، وَسَلَّمَ ٱلْمَوْتُ وَٱلْهَاوِيَةُ ٱلْأَمْوَاتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِيهِمَا. وَدِينُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ بِحَسَبِ أَعْمَالِهِ. (Hadēs ) |
The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works. (Hadēs )
| وَطُرِحَ ٱلْمَوْتُ وَٱلْهَاوِيَةُ فِي بُحَيْرَةِ ٱلنَّارِ. هَذَا هُوَ ٱلْمَوْتُ ٱلثَّانِي. (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr ) |
Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (Hadēs , Limnē Pyr )
| وَكُلُّ مَنْ لَمْ يُوجَدْ مَكْتُوبًا فِي سِفْرِ ٱلْحَيَاةِ طُرِحَ فِي بُحَيْرَةِ ٱلنَّارِ. (Limnē Pyr ) |
If anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire. (Limnē Pyr )
| وَأَمَّا ٱلْخَائِفُونَ وَغَيْرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلرَّجِسُونَ وَٱلْقَاتِلُونَ وَٱلزُّنَاةُ وَٱلسَّحَرَةُ وَعَبَدَةُ ٱلْأَوْثَانِ وَجَمِيعُ ٱلْكَذَبَةِ، فَنَصِيبُهُمْ فِي ٱلْبُحَيْرَةِ ٱلْمُتَّقِدَةِ بِنَارٍ وَكِبْرِيتٍ، ٱلَّذِي هُوَ ٱلْمَوْتُ ٱلثَّانِي». (Limnē Pyr ) |
But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Limnē Pyr )
| وَلَا يَكُونُ لَيْلٌ هُنَاكَ، وَلَا يَحْتَاجُونَ إِلَى سِرَاجٍ أَوْ نُورِ شَمْسٍ، لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ ٱلْإِلَهَ يُنِيرُ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَهُمْ سَيَمْلِكُونَ إِلَى أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ. (aiōn ) |
There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever. (aiōn )
| هَؤُلَاءِ هُمْ آبَارٌ بِلَا مَاءٍ، غُيُومٌ يَسُوقُهَا ٱلنَّوْءُ. ٱلَّذِينَ قَدْ حُفِظَ لَهُمْ قَتَامُ ٱلظَّلَامِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. () |
