مَتَّى 24

١ 1 ثُمَّ خَرَجَ يَسُوعُ وَمَضَى مِنَ ٱلْهَيْكَلِ، فَتَقَدَّمَ تَلَامِيذُهُ لِكَيْ يُرُوهُ أَبْنِيَةَ ٱلْهَيْكَلِ.

Jesus went out from the temple and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to point out to him the buildings of the temple.

٢ 2 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «أَمَا تَنْظُرُونَ جَمِيعَ هَذِهِ؟ اَلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّهُ لَا يُتْرَكُ هَهُنَا حَجَرٌ عَلَى حَجَرٍ لَا يُنْقَضُ!».

But he answered and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone will be left on another that will not be torn down.”

٣ 3 وَفِيمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ عَلَى جَبَلِ ٱلزَّيْتُونِ، تَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ ٱلتَّلَامِيذُ عَلَى ٱنْفِرَادٍ قَائِلِينَ: «قُلْ لَنَا مَتَى يَكُونُ هَذَا؟ وَمَا هِيَ عَلَامَةُ مَجِيئِكَ وَٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلدَّهْرِ؟». (aiōn g165)

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (aiōn g165)

٤ 4 فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «ٱنْظُرُوا! لَا يُضِلَّكُمْ أَحَدٌ.

Jesus answered and said to them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray.

٥ 5 فَإِنَّ كَثِيرِينَ سَيَأْتُونَ بِٱسْمِي قَائِلِينَ: أَنَا هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ! وَيُضِلُّونَ كَثِيرِينَ.

For many will come in my name. They will say, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray.

٦ 6 وَسَوْفَ تَسْمَعُونَ بِحُرُوبٍ وَأَخْبَارِ حُرُوبٍ. اُنْظُرُوا، لَا تَرْتَاعُوا. لِأَنَّهُ لَا بُدَّ أَنْ تَكُونَ هَذِهِ كُلُّهَا، وَلَكِنْ لَيْسَ ٱلْمُنْتَهَى بَعْدُ.

You will hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not troubled, for these things must happen; but the end is not yet.

٧ 7 لِأَنَّهُ تَقُومُ أُمَّةٌ عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَمَمْلَكَةٌ عَلَى مَمْلَكَةٍ، وَتَكُونُ مَجَاعَاتٌ وَأَوْبِئَةٌ وَزَلَازِلُ فِي أَمَاكِنَ.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

٨ 8 وَلَكِنَّ هَذِهِ كُلَّهَا مُبْتَدَأُ ٱلْأَوْجَاعِ.

But all these things are only the beginning of birth pains.

٩ 9 حِينَئِذٍ يُسَلِّمُونَكُمْ إِلَى ضِيقٍ وَيَقْتُلُونَكُمْ، وَتَكُونُونَ مُبْغَضِينَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ ٱلْأُمَمِ لِأَجْلِ ٱسْمِي.

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you. You will be hated by all the nations for my name's sake.

١٠ 10 وَحِينَئِذٍ يَعْثُرُ كَثِيرُونَ وَيُسَلِّمُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا وَيُبْغِضُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا.

Then many will stumble, and betray one another and hate one another.

١١ 11 وَيَقُومُ أَنْبِيَاءُ كَذَبَةٌ كَثِيرُونَ وَيُضِلُّونَ كَثِيرِينَ.

Many false prophets will rise up and lead many astray.

١٢ 12 وَلِكَثْرَةِ ٱلْإِثْمِ تَبْرُدُ مَحَبَّةُ ٱلْكَثِيرِينَ.

Because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.

١٣ 13 وَلَكِنِ ٱلَّذِي يَصْبِرُ إِلَى ٱلْمُنْتَهَى فَهَذَا يَخْلُصُ.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

١٤ 14 وَيُكْرَزُ بِبِشَارَةِ ٱلْمَلَكُوتِ هَذِهِ فِي كُلِّ ٱلْمَسْكُونَةِ شَهَادَةً لِجَمِيعِ ٱلْأُمَمِ. ثُمَّ يَأْتِي ٱلْمُنْتَهَى.

This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations. Then the end will come.

١٥ 15 «فَمَتَى نَظَرْتُمْ «رِجْسَةَ ٱلْخَرَابِ» ٱلَّتِي قَالَ عَنْهَا دَانِيآلُ ٱلنَّبِيُّ قَائِمَةً فِي ٱلْمَكَانِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ - لِيَفْهَمِ ٱلْقَارِئُ -

Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand),

١٦ 16 فَحِينَئِذٍ لِيَهْرُبِ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي ٱلْيَهُودِيَّةِ إِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ،

“let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

١٧ 17 وَٱلَّذِي عَلَى ٱلسَّطْحِ فَلَا يَنْزِلْ لِيَأْخُذَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ شَيْئًا،

let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house,

١٨ 18 وَٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْحَقْلِ فَلَا يَرْجِعْ إِلَى وَرَائِهِ لِيَأْخُذَ ثِيَابَهُ.

and let him who is in the field not return to take his cloak.

١٩ 19 وَوَيْلٌ لِلْحَبَالَى وَٱلْمُرْضِعَاتِ فِي تِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامِ!

But woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days!

٢٠ 20 وَصَلُّوا لِكَيْ لَا يَكُونَ هَرَبُكُمْ فِي شِتَاءٍ وَلَا فِي سَبْتٍ،

Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on a Sabbath.

٢١ 21 لِأَنَّهُ يَكُونُ حِينَئِذٍ ضِيقٌ عَظِيمٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِثْلُهُ مُنْذُ ٱبْتِدَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِ إِلَى ٱلْآنَ وَلَنْ يَكُونَ.

For there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be again.

٢٢ 22 وَلَوْ لَمْ تُقَصَّرْ تِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامُ لَمْ يَخْلُصْ جَسَدٌ. وَلَكِنْ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْمُخْتَارِينَ تُقَصَّرُ تِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامُ.

Unless those days are shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.

٢٣ 23 حِينَئِذٍ إِنْ قَالَ لَكُمْ أَحَدٌ: هُوَذَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ هُنَا! أَوْ: هُنَاكَ! فَلَا تُصَدِّقُوا.

Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There is the Christ!' do not believe it.

٢٤ 24 لِأَنَّهُ سَيَقُومُ مُسَحَاءُ كَذَبَةٌ وَأَنْبِيَاءُ كَذَبَةٌ وَيُعْطُونَ آيَاتٍ عَظِيمَةً وَعَجَائِبَ، حَتَّى يُضِلُّوا لَوْ أَمْكَنَ ٱلْمُخْتَارِينَ أَيْضًا.

For false Christs and false prophets will come and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

٢٥ 25 هَا أَنَا قَدْ سَبَقْتُ وَأَخْبَرْتُكُمْ.

See, I have told you ahead of time.

٢٦ 26 فَإِنْ قَالُوا لَكُمْ: هَا هُوَ فِي ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ! فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا. هَا هُوَ فِي ٱلْمَخَادِعِ! فَلَا تُصَدِّقُوا.

Therefore, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out to the wilderness. Or, 'See, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.

٢٧ 27 لِأَنَّهُ كَمَا أَنَّ ٱلْبَرْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ ٱلْمَشَارِقِ وَيَظْهَرُ إِلَى ٱلْمَغَارِبِ، هَكَذَا يَكُونُ أَيْضًا مَجِيءُ ٱبْنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ.

For as the lightning shines out from the east and flashes all the way to the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

٢٨ 28 لِأَنَّهُ حَيْثُمَا تَكُنِ ٱلْجُثَّةُ، فَهُنَاكَ تَجْتَمِعُ ٱلنُّسُورُ.

Wherever a dead animal is, there the vultures will gather.

٢٩ 29 «وَلِلْوَقْتِ بَعْدَ ضِيقِ تِلْكَ ٱلْأَيَّامِ تُظْلِمُ ٱلشَّمْسُ، وَٱلْقَمَرُ لَا يُعْطِي ضَوْءَهُ، وَٱلنُّجُومُ تَسْقُطُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاءِ، وَقُوَّاتُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ تَتَزَعْزَعُ.

But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

٣٠ 30 وَحِينَئِذٍ تَظْهَرُ عَلَامَةُ ٱبْنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ فِي ٱلسَّمَاءِ. وَحِينَئِذٍ تَنُوحُ جَمِيعُ قَبَائِلِ ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَيُبْصِرُونَ ٱبْنَ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ آتِيًا عَلَى سَحَابِ ٱلسَّمَاءِ بِقُوَّةٍ وَمَجْدٍ كَثِيرٍ.

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.

٣١ 31 فَيُرْسِلُ مَلَائِكَتَهُ بِبُوقٍ عَظِيمِ ٱلصَّوْتِ، فَيَجْمَعُونَ مُخْتَارِيهِ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْبَعِ ٱلرِّيَاحِ، مِنْ أَقْصَاءِ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ إِلَى أَقْصَائِهَا.

He will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

٣٢ 32 فَمِنْ شَجَرَةِ ٱلتِّينِ تَعَلَّمُوا ٱلْمَثَلَ: مَتَى صَارَ غُصْنُهَا رَخْصًا وَأَخْرَجَتْ أَوْرَاقَهَا، تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱلصَّيْفَ قَرِيبٌ.

Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as the branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.

٣٣ 33 هَكَذَا أَنْتُمْ أَيْضًا، مَتَى رَأَيْتُمْ هَذَا كُلَّهُ فَٱعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ قَرِيبٌ عَلَى ٱلْأَبْوَابِ.

So also, when you see all these things, you should know that he is near, at the very gates.

٣٤ 34 اَلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: لَا يَمْضِي هَذَا ٱلْجِيلُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ هَذَا كُلُّهُ.

Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all of these things will have happened.

٣٥ 35 اَلسَّمَاءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ تَزُولَانِ وَلَكِنَّ كَلَامِي لَا يَزُولُ.

Heaven and the earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

٣٦ 36 «وَأَمَّا ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ وَتِلْكَ ٱلسَّاعَةُ فَلَا يَعْلَمُ بِهِمَا أَحَدٌ، وَلَا مَلَائِكَةُ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ، إِلَّا أَبِي وَحْدَهُ.

But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

٣٧ 37 وَكَمَا كَانَتْ أَيَّامُ نُوحٍ كَذَلِكَ يَكُونُ أَيْضًا مَجِيءُ ٱبْنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ.

As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

٣٨ 38 لِأَنَّهُ كَمَا كَانُوا فِي ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلَّتِي قَبْلَ ٱلطُّوفَانِ يَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ وَيَتَزَوَّجُونَ وَيُزَوِّجُونَ، إِلَى ٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلَّذِي دَخَلَ فِيهِ نُوحٌ ٱلْفُلْكَ،

For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark,

٣٩ 39 وَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا حَتَّى جَاءَ ٱلطُّوفَانُ وَأَخَذَ ٱلْجَمِيعَ، كَذَلِكَ يَكُونُ أَيْضًا مَجِيءُ ٱبْنِ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ.

and they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

٤٠ 40 حِينَئِذٍ يَكُونُ ٱثْنَانِ فِي ٱلْحَقْلِ، يُؤْخَذُ ٱلْوَاحِدُ وَيُتْرَكُ ٱلْآخَرُ.

Then two men will be in a field—one will be taken, and one will be left.

٤١ 41 اِثْنَتَانِ تَطْحَنَانِ عَلَى ٱلرَّحَى، تُؤْخَذُ ٱلْوَاحِدَةُ وَتُتْرَكُ ٱلْأُخْرَى.

Two women will be grinding with a mill—one will be taken, and one will be left.

٤٢ 42 «اِسْهَرُوا إِذًا لِأَنَّكُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ فِي أَيَّةِ سَاعَةٍ يَأْتِي رَبُّكُمْ.

Therefore be on your guard, for you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

٤٣ 43 وَٱعْلَمُوا هَذَا: أَنَّهُ لَوْ عَرَفَ رَبُّ ٱلْبَيْتِ فِي أَيِّ هَزِيعٍ يَأْتِي ٱلسَّارِقُ، لَسَهِرَ وَلَمْ يَدَعْ بَيْتَهُ يُنْقَبُ.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what time of night the thief was coming, he would have been on guard and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

٤٤ 44 لِذَلِكَ كُونُوا أَنْتُمْ أَيْضًا مُسْتَعِدِّينَ، لِأَنَّهُ فِي سَاعَةٍ لَا تَظُنُّونَ يَأْتِي ٱبْنُ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ.

Therefore you must also be ready, for the Son of Man will come at an hour that you do not expect.

٤٥ 45 فَمَنْ هُوَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ٱلْأَمِينُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلَّذِي أَقَامَهُ سَيِّدُهُ عَلَى خَدَمِهِ لِيُعْطِيَهُمُ ٱلطَّعَامَ فِي حِينِهِ؟

So who is the faithful and wise servant whom his master has set over his household in order to give them their food at the right time?

٤٦ 46 طُوبَى لِذَلِكَ ٱلْعَبْدِ ٱلَّذِي إِذَا جَاءَ سَيِّدُهُ يَجِدُهُ يَفْعَلُ هَكَذَا!

Blessed is that servant whom his master will find doing that when he comes.

٤٧ 47 اَلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّهُ يُقِيمُهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ أَمْوَالِهِ.

Truly I say to you that the master will set him over everything that he owns.

٤٨ 48 وَلَكِنْ إِنْ قَالَ ذَلِكَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ٱلرَّدِيُّ فِي قَلْبِهِ: سَيِّدِي يُبْطِئُ قُدُومَهُ.

But if an evil servant says in his heart, 'My master has been delayed,'

٤٩ 49 فَيَبْتَدِئُ يَضْرِبُ ٱلْعَبِيدَ رُفَقَاءَهُ وَيَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ مَعَ ٱلسُّكَارَى.

and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats and drinks with drunkards,

٥٠ 50 يَأْتِي سَيِّدُ ذَلِكَ ٱلْعَبْدِ فِي يَوْمٍ لَا يَنْتَظِرُهُ وَفِي سَاعَةٍ لَا يَعْرِفُهَا،

then the master of that servant will come on a day that the servant does not expect and at an hour that he does not know.

٥١ 51 فَيُقَطِّعُهُ وَيَجْعَلُ نَصِيبَهُ مَعَ ٱلْمُرَائِينَ. هُنَاكَ يَكُونُ ٱلْبُكَاءُ وَصَرِيرُ ٱلْأَسْنَانِ.

His master will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

The World is Destroyed by Water
