اَللَّاوِيِّينَ 24
| وَكَلَّمَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى قَائِلًا: | ١ 1 |
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
| «أَوْصِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنْ يُقَدِّمُوا إِلَيْكَ زَيْتَ زَيْتُونٍ مَرْضُوضٍ نَقِيًّا لِلضَّوْءِ لِإِيقَادِ ٱلسُّرُجِ دَائِمًا. | ٢ 2 |
“Enjoin the children of Israel [God prevails], that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a menorah ·lamp· to burn continually.
| خَارِجَ حِجَابِ ٱلشَّهَادَةِ فِي خَيْمَةِ ٱلِٱجْتِمَاعِ يُرَتِّبُهَا هَارُونُ مِنَ ٱلْمَسَاءِ إِلَى ٱلصَّبَاحِ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ دَائِمًا فَرِيضَةً دَهْرِيَّةً فِي أَجْيَالِكُمْ. | ٣ 3 |
Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aaron [Light-bringer] keep it in order from evening to morning before Adonai continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout all your generations.
| عَلَى ٱلْمَنَارَةِ ٱلطَّاهِرَةِ يُرَتِّبُ ٱلسُّرُجَ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ دَائِمًا. | ٤ 4 |
He shall keep in order the lamp candles on the pure gold menorah ·lamp· before Adonai continually.
| «وَتَأْخُذُ دَقِيقًا وَتَخْبِزُهُ ٱثْنَيْ عَشَرَ قُرْصًا. عُشْرَيْنِ يَكُونُ ٱلْقُرْصُ ٱلْوَاحِدُ. | ٥ 5 |
“You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: one tenth of an ephah [two omers; 4.6 q; 4.4 L] shall be in one cake.
| وَتَجْعَلُهَا صَفَّيْنِ، كُلَّ صَفٍّ سِتَّةً عَلَى ٱلْمَائِدَةِ ٱلطَّاهِرَةِ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ٦ 6 |
You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before Adonai.
| وَتَجْعَلُ عَلَى كُلِّ صَفٍّ لُبَانًا نَقِيًّا فَيَكُونُ لِلْخُبْزِ تَذْكَارًا وَقُودًا لِلرَّبِّ. | ٧ 7 |
You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to Adonai.
| فِي كُلِّ يَوْمِ سَبْتٍ يُرَتِّبُهُ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ دَائِمًا، مِنْ عِنْدِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِيثَاقًا دَهْرِيًّا. | ٨ 8 |
Every Sabbath ·To cease· day he shall set it in order before Adonai continually. It is on the behalf of the children of Israel [God prevails] an everlasting covenant.
| فَيَكُونُ لِهَارُونَ وَبَنِيهِ، فَيَأْكُلُونَهُ فِي مَكَانٍ مُقَدَّسٍ، لِأَنَّهُ قُدْسُ أَقْدَاسٍ لَهُ مِنْ وَقَائِدِ ٱلرَّبِّ فَرِيضَةً دَهْرِيَّةً». | ٩ 9 |
It shall be for Aaron [Light-bringer] and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of Adonai made by fire by a perpetual statute.”
| وَخَرَجَ ٱبْنُ ٱمْرَأَةٍ إِسْرَائِيلِيَّةٍ، وَهُوَ ٱبْنُ رَجُلٍ مِصْرِيٍّ، فِي وَسَطِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. وَتَخَاصَمَ فِي ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ ٱبْنُ ٱلْإِسْرَائِيلِيَّةِ وَرَجُلٌ إِسْرَائِيلِيٌّ. | ١٠ 10 |
The son of an Israelite [Descendant of God prevails] woman, whose father was an Egyptian [person from Abode of slavery], went out among the children of Israel [God prevails]; and the son of the Israelite [Descendant of God prevails] woman and a man of Israel [God prevails] strove together in the camp.
| فَجَدَّفَ ٱبْنُ ٱلْإِسْرَائِيلِيَّةِ عَلَى ٱلِٱسْمِ وَسَبَّ. فَأَتَوْا بِهِ إِلَى مُوسَى. وَكَانَ ٱسْمُ أُمِّهِ شَلُومِيَةَ بِنْتَ دِبْرِي مِنْ سِبْطِ دَانَ. | ١١ 11 |
The son of the Israelite [Descendant of God prevails] woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses [Drawn out]. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan [He judged].
| فَوَضَعُوهُ فِي ٱلْمَحْرَسِ لِيُعْلَنَ لَهُمْ عَنْ فَمِ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ١٢ 12 |
They put him in custody, until Adonai’s will should be declared to them.
| فَكَلَّمَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى قَائِلًا: | ١٣ 13 |
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
| «أَخْرِجِ ٱلَّذِي سَبَّ إِلَى خَارِجِ ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ، فَيَضَعَ جَمِيعُ ٱلسَّامِعِينَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ، وَيَرْجُمَهُ كُلُّ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ. | ١٤ 14 |
“Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who sh'ma ·heard obeyed· him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
| وَكَلِّمْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَائِلًا: كُلُّ مَنْ سَبَّ إِلَهَهُ يَحْمِلُ خَطِيَّتَهُ، | ١٥ 15 |
You shall speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.
| وَمَنْ جَدَّفَ عَلَى ٱسْمِ ٱلرَّبِّ فَإِنَّهُ يُقْتَلُ. يَرْجُمُهُ كُلُّ ٱلْجَمَاعَةِ رَجْمًا. ٱلْغَرِيبُ كَٱلْوَطَنِيِّ عِنْدَمَا يُجَدِّفُ عَلَى ٱلِٱسْمِ يُقْتَلُ. | ١٦ 16 |
He who blasphemes Adonai’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
| وَإِذَا أَمَاتَ أَحَدٌ إِنْسَانًا فَإِنَّهُ يُقْتَلُ. | ١٧ 17 |
“‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death.
| وَمَنْ أَمَاتَ بَهِيمَةً يُعَوِّضُ عَنْهَا نَفْسًا بِنَفْسٍ. | ١٨ 18 |
He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life.
| وَإِذَا أَحْدَثَ إِنْسَانٌ فِي قَرِيبِهِ عَيْبًا، فَكَمَا فَعَلَ كَذَلِكَ يُفْعَلُ بِهِ. | ١٩ 19 |
If anyone injures his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him:
| كَسْرٌ بِكَسْرٍ، وَعَيْنٌ بِعَيْنٍ، وَسِنٌّ بِسِنٍّ. كَمَا أَحْدَثَ عَيْبًا فِي ٱلْإِنْسَانِ كَذَلِكَ يُحْدَثُ فِيهِ. | ٢٠ 20 |
fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has injured someone, so shall it be done to him.
| مَنْ قَتَلَ بَهِيمَةً يُعَوِّضُ عَنْهَا، وَمَنْ قَتَلَ إِنْسَانًا يُقْتَلْ. | ٢١ 21 |
He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death.
| حُكْمٌ وَاحِدٌ يَكُونُ لَكُمْ. ٱلْغَرِيبُ يَكُونُ كَٱلْوَطَنِيِّ. إِنِّي أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ». | ٢٢ 22 |
You shall have one kind of judgment for the foreigner as well as the native-born; for I am Adonai your God.’”
| فَكَلَّمَ مُوسَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنْ يُخْرِجُوا ٱلَّذِي سَبَّ إِلَى خَارِجِ ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ وَيَرْجُمُوهُ بِٱلْحِجَارَةِ. فَفَعَلَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ كَمَا أَمَرَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى. | ٢٣ 23 |
Moses [Drawn out] spoke to the children of Israel [God prevails]; and they brought out him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel [God prevails] did as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].
