اَللَّاوِيِّينَ 18

١ 1 وَكَلَّمَ ٱلرَّبُّ مُوسَى قَائِلًا:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

٢ 2 «كَلِّمْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَقُلْ لَهُمْ: أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ.

Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, I [am] the Lord your God.

٣ 3 مِثْلَ عَمَلِ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ ٱلَّتِي سَكَنْتُمْ فِيهَا لَا تَعْمَلُوا، وَمِثْلَ عَمَلِ أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ ٱلَّتِي أَنَا آتٍ بِكُمْ إِلَيْهَا لَا تَعْمَلُوا، وَحَسَبَ فَرَائِضِهِمْ لَا تَسْلُكُوا.

Ye shall not do according to the devices of Egypt, in which ye dwelt: and according to the devices of the land of Chanaan, into which I bring you, ye shall not do; and ye shall not walk in their ordinances.

٤ 4 أَحْكَامِي تَعْمَلُونَ، وَفَرَائِضِي تَحْفَظُونَ لِتَسْلُكُوا فِيهَا. أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ.

Ye shall observe my judgments, and shall keep my ordinances, and shall walk in them: I [am] the Lord your God.

٥ 5 فَتَحْفَظُونَ فَرَائِضِي وَأَحْكَامِي، ٱلَّتِي إِذَا فَعَلَهَا ٱلْإِنْسَانُ يَحْيَا بِهَا. أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ.

So ye shall keep all my ordinances, and all my judgments, and do them; which if a man do, he shall live in them: I [am] the Lord your God.

٦ 6 «لَا يَقْتَرِبْ إِنْسَانٌ إِلَى قَرِيبِ جَسَدِهِ لِيَكْشِفَ ٱلْعَوْرَةَ. أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ.

No man shall draw nigh to any of his near kindred to uncover their nakedness; I [am] the Lord.

٧ 7 عَوْرَةَ أَبِيكَ وَعَوْرَةَ أُمِّكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِنَّهَا أُمُّكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ عَوْرَتَهَا.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, for she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

٨ 8 عَوْرَةَ ٱمْرَأَةِ أَبِيكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِنَّهَا عَوْرَةُ أَبِيكَ.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's wife; it is thy father's nakedness.

٩ 9 عَوْرَةَ أُخْتِكَ بِنْتِ أَبِيكَ أَوْ بِنْتِ أُمِّكَ، ٱلْمَوْلُودَةِ فِي ٱلْبَيْتِ أَوِ ٱلْمَوْلُودَةِ خَارِجًا، لَا تَكْشِفْ عَوْرَتَهَا.

The nakedness of thy sister by thy father or by thy mother, born at home or abroad, their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

١٠ 10 عَوْرَةَ ٱبْنَةِ ٱبْنِكَ، أَوِ ٱبْنَةِ بِنْتِكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ عَوْرَتَهَا. إِنَّهَا عَوْرَتُكَ.

The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or thy daughter's daughter, their nakedness thou shalt not uncover; because it is thy nakedness.

١١ 11 عَوْرَةَ بِنْتِ ٱمْرَأَةِ أَبِيكَ ٱلْمَوْلُودَةِ مِنْ أَبِيكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ عَوْرَتَهَا. إِنَّهَا أُخْتُكَ.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of the daughter of thy father's wife; she is thy sister by the same father: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

١٢ 12 عَوْرَةَ أُخْتِ أَبِيكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِنَّهَا قَرِيبَةُ أَبِيكَ.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister, for she is near akin to thy father.

١٣ 13 عَوْرَةَ أُخْتِ أُمِّكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِنَّهَا قَرِيبَةُ أُمِّكَ.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, for she is near akin to thy mother.

١٤ 14 عَوْرَةَ أَخِي أَبِيكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِلَى ٱمْرَأَتِهِ لَا تَقْتَرِبْ. إِنَّهَا عَمَّتُكَ.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, and thou shalt not go in to his wife; for she is thy relation.

١٥ 15 عَوْرَةَ كَنَّتِكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِنَّهَا ٱمْرَأَةُ ٱبْنِكَ. لَا تَكْشِفْ عَوْرَتَهَا.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law, for she is thy son's wife, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

١٦ 16 عَوْرَةَ ٱمْرَأَةِ أَخِيكَ لَا تَكْشِفْ. إِنَّهَا عَوْرَةُ أَخِيكَ.

Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

١٧ 17 عَوْرَةَ ٱمْرَأَةٍ وَبِنْتِهَا لَا تَكْشِفْ. وَلَا تَأْخُذِ ٱبْنَةَ ٱبْنِهَا، أَوِ ٱبْنَةَ بِنْتِهَا لِتَكْشِفَ عَوْرَتَهَا. إِنَّهُمَا قَرِيبَتَاهَا. إِنَّهُ رَذِيلَةٌ.

The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shalt thou not uncover; her son's daughter, and her daughter's daughter, shalt thou not take, to uncover their nakedness, for they are thy kinswomen: it is impiety.

١٨ 18 وَلَا تَأْخُذِ ٱمْرَأَةً عَلَى أُخْتِهَا لِلضِّرِّ لِتَكْشِفَ عَوْرَتَهَا مَعَهَا فِي حَيَاتِهَا.

Thou shalt not take a wife in addition to her sister, as a rival, to uncover her nakedness in opposition to her, while she is yet living.

١٩ 19 «وَلَا تَقْتَرِبْ إِلَى ٱمْرَأَةٍ فِي نَجَاسَةِ طَمْثِهَا لِتَكْشِفَ عَوْرَتَهَا.

And thou shalt not go in to a woman under separation for her uncleanness, to uncover her nakedness.

٢٠ 20 وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ ٱمْرَأَةِ صَاحِبِكَ مَضْجَعَكَ لِزَرْعٍ، فَتَتَنَجَّسَ بِهَا.

And thou shalt not lie with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.

٢١ 21 وَلَا تُعْطِ مِنْ زَرْعِكَ لِلْإِجَازَةِ لِمُولَكَ لِئَلَّا تُدَنِّسَ ٱسْمَ إِلَهِكَ. أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ.

And thou shalt not give of thy seed to serve a ruler; and thou shalt not profane my holy name; I [am] the Lord.

٢٢ 22 وَلَا تُضَاجِعْ ذَكَرًا مُضَاجَعَةَ ٱمْرَأَةٍ. إِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ.

And thou shalt not lie with a man as with a woman, for it is an abomination.

٢٣ 23 وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ بَهِيمَةٍ مَضْجَعَكَ فَتَتَنَجَّسَ بِهَا. وَلَا تَقِفِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ أَمَامَ بَهِيمَةٍ لِنِزَائِهَا. إِنَّهُ فَاحِشَةٌ.

Neither shalt thou lie with any quadruped for copulation, to be polluted with it: neither shall a woman present herself before any quadruped to have connexion with it; for it is an abomination.

٢٤ 24 «بِكُلِّ هَذِهِ لَا تَتَنَجَّسُوا، لِأَنَّهُ بِكُلِّ هَذِهِ قَدْ تَنَجَّسَ ٱلشُّعُوبُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنَا طَارِدُهُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ

Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for in all these things the nations are defiled, which I drive out before you,

٢٥ 25 فَتَنَجَّسَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ. فَأَجْتَزِي ذَنْبَهَا مِنْهَا، فَتَقْذِفُ ٱلْأَرْضُ سُكَّانَهَا.

and the land is polluted; and I have recompensed their iniquity to them because of it, and the land is aggrieved with them that dwell upon it.

٢٦ 26 لَكِنْ تَحْفَظُونَ أَنْتُمْ فَرَائِضِي وَأَحْكَامِي، وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ شَيْئًا مِنْ جَمِيعِ هَذِهِ ٱلرَّجَسَاتِ، لَا ٱلْوَطَنِيُّ وَلَا ٱلْغَرِيبُ ٱلنَّازِلُ فِي وَسَطِكُمْ،

And ye shall keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and ye shall do none of these abominations; neither the native, nor the stranger that joins himself with you:

٢٧ 27 لِأَنَّ جَمِيعَ هَذِهِ ٱلرَّجَسَاتِ قَدْ عَمِلَهَا أَهْلُ ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّذِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَتَنَجَّسَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ.

(for all these abominations the men of the land did who were before you, and the land was defiled, )

٢٨ 28 فَلَا تَقْذِفُكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِتَنْجِيسِكُمْ إِيَّاهَا كَمَا قَذَفَتِ ٱلشُّعُوبَ ٱلَّتِي قَبْلَكُمْ.

and lest the land be aggrieved with you in your polluting it, as it was aggrieved with the nations before you.

٢٩ 29 بَلْ كُلُّ مَنْ عَمِلَ شَيْئًا مِنْ جَمِيعِ هَذِهِ ٱلرَّجَسَاتِ تُقْطَعُ ٱلْأَنْفُسُ ٱلَّتِي تَعْمَلُهَا مِنْ شَعْبِهَا.

For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, the souls that do them shall be destroyed from among their people.

٣٠ 30 فَتَحْفَظُونَ شَعَائِرِي لِكَيْ لَا تَعْمَلُوا شَيْئًا مِنَ ٱلرُّسُومِ ٱلرَّجِسَةِ ٱلَّتِي عُمِلَتْ قَبْلَكُمْ وَلَا تَتَنَجَّسُوا بِهَا. أَنَا ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ».

And ye shall keep mine ordinances, that ye may not do any of the abominable practices, which have taken place before your time: and ye shall not be polluted in them; for I [am] the Lord your God.
