اَلْقُضَاة 8
| وَقَالَ لَهُ رِجَالُ أَفْرَايِمَ: «مَا هَذَا ٱلْأَمْرُ ٱلَّذِي فَعَلْتَ بِنَا، إِذْ لَمْ تَدْعُنَا عِنْدَ ذِهَابِكَ لِمُحَارَبَةِ ٱلْمِدْيَانِيِّينَ؟». وَخَاصَمُوهُ بِشِدَّةٍ. | ١ 1 |
and to say to(wards) him man Ephraim what? [the] word: thing [the] this to make: do to/for us to/for lest to call: call to to/for us for to go: went to/for to fight in/on/with Midian and to contend [emph?] with him in/on/with force
| فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «مَاذَا فَعَلْتُ ٱلْآنَ نَظِيرَكُمْ؟ أَلَيْسَ خُصَاصَةُ أَفْرَايِمَ خَيْرًا مِنْ قِطَافِ أَبِيعَزَرَ؟ | ٢ 2 |
and to say to(wards) them what? to make: do now like/as you not pleasant gleaning Ephraim from vintage Abiezer
| لِيَدِكُمْ دَفَعَ ٱللهُ أَمِيرَيِ ٱلْمِدْيَانِيِّينَ غُرَابًا وَذِئْبًا. وَمَاذَا قَدِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْمَلَ نَظِيرَكُمْ؟». حِينَئِذٍ ٱرْتَخَتْ رُوحُهُمْ عَنْهُ عِنْدَمَا تَكَلَّمَ بِهَذَا ٱلْكَلَامِ. | ٣ 3 |

| وَجَاءَ جِدْعُونُ إِلَى ٱلْأُرْدُنِّ وَعَبَرَ هُوَ وَٱلثَّلَاثُ مِئَةِ ٱلرَّجُلِ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُ مُعْيِينَ وَمُطَارِدِينَ. | ٤ 4 |
and to come (in): come Gideon [the] Jordan [to] to pass he/she/it and three hundred [the] man which with him faint and to pursue
| فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِ سُكُّوتَ: «أَعْطُوا أَرْغِفَةَ خُبْزٍ لِلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعِي لِأَنَّهُمْ مُعْيُونَ، وَأَنَا سَاعٍ وَرَاءَ زَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ مَلِكَيْ مِدْيَانَ». | ٥ 5 |
and to say to/for human Succoth to give: give please talent food: bread to/for people: soldiers which in/on/with foot my for faint they(masc.) and I to pursue after Zebah and Zalmunna king Midian
| فَقَالَ رُؤَسَاءُ سُكُّوتَ: «هَلْ أَيْدِي زَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ بِيَدِكَ ٱلْآنَ حَتَّى نُعْطِيَ جُنْدَكَ خُبْزًا؟» | ٦ 6 |

| فَقَالَ جِدْعُونُ: «لِذَلِكَ عِنْدَمَا يَدْفَعُ ٱلرَّبُّ زَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ بِيَدِي أَدْرُسُ لَحْمَكُمْ مَعَ أَشْوَاكِ ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ بِٱلنَّوَارِجِ». | ٧ 7 |
and to say Gideon to/for so in/on/with to give: give LORD [obj] Zebah and [obj] Zalmunna in/on/with hand: power my and to tread [obj] flesh your with thorn [the] wilderness and with [the] briar
| وَصَعِدَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ إِلَى فَنُوئِيلَ وَكَلَّمَهُمْ هَكَذَا. فَأَجَابَهُ أَهْلُ فَنُوئِيلَ كَمَا أَجَابَ أَهْلُ سُكُّوتَ، | ٨ 8 |
and to ascend: rise from there Peniel and to speak: speak to(wards) them like/as this and to answer [obj] him human Peniel like/as as which to answer human Succoth
| فَكَلَّمَ أَيْضًا أَهْلَ فَنُوئِيلَ قَائِلًا: «عِنْدَ رُجُوعِي بِسَلَامٍ أَهْدِمُ هَذَا ٱلْبُرْجَ». | ٩ 9 |

| وَكَانَ زَبَحُ وَصَلْمُنَّاعُ فِي قَرْقَرَ وَجَيْشُهُمَا مَعَهُمَا نَحْوُ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ أَلْفًا، كُلُّ ٱلْبَاقِينَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ جَيْشِ بَنِي ٱلْمَشْرِقِ. وَٱلَّذِينَ سَقَطُوا مِئَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفَ رَجُلٍ مُخْتَرِطِي ٱلسَّيْفِ. | ١٠ 10 |

| فَهَرَبَ زَبَحُ وَصَلْمُنَّاعُ، فَتَبِعَهُمَا وَأَمْسَكَ مَلِكَيْ مِدْيَانَ زَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ وَأَزْعَجَ كُلَّ ٱلْجَيْشِ. | ١٢ 12 |

| وَرَجَعَ جِدْعُونُ بْنُ يُوآشَ مِنَ ٱلْحَرْبِ مِنْ عِنْدِ عَقَبَةِ حَارَسَ. | ١٣ 13 |

| وَأَمْسَكَ غُلَامًا مِنْ أَهْلِ سُكُّوتَ وَسَأَلَهُ، فَكَتَبَ لَهُ رُؤَسَاءَ سُكُّوتَ وَشُيُوخَهَا، سَبْعَةً وَسَبْعِينَ رَجُلًا. | ١٤ 14 |
and to capture youth from human Succoth and to ask him and to write to(wards) him [obj] ruler Succoth and [obj] old: elder her seventy and seven man
| وَدَخَلَ إِلَى أَهْلِ سُكُّوتَ وَقَالَ: «هُوَذَا زَبَحُ وَصَلْمُنَّاعُ ٱللَّذَانِ عَيَّرْتُمُونِي بِهِمَا قَائِلِينَ: هَلْ أَيْدِي زَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ بِيَدِكَ ٱلْآنَ حَتَّى نُعْطِي رِجَالَكَ ٱلْمُعْيِينَ خُبْزًا؟» | ١٥ 15 |
and to come (in): come to(wards) human Succoth and to say behold Zebah and Zalmunna which to taunt [obj] me to/for to say palm Zebah and Zalmunna now in/on/with hand: power your for to give: give to/for human your [the] weary food: bread
| وَأَخَذَ شُيُوخَ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ وَأَشْوَاكَ ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ وَٱلنَّوَارِجَ وَعَلَّمَ بِهَا أَهْلَ سُكُّوتَ. | ١٦ 16 |
and to take: take [obj] old: elder [the] city and [obj] thorn [the] wilderness and [obj] [the] briar and to know in/on/with them [obj] human Succoth
| وَهَدَمَ بُرْجَ فَنُوئِيلَ وَقَتَلَ رِجَالَ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ. | ١٧ 17 |
and [obj] tower Peniel to tear and to kill [obj] human [the] city
| وَقَالَ لِزَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ: «كَيْفَ ٱلرِّجَالُ ٱلَّذِينَ قَتَلْتُمَاهُمْ فِي تَابُورَ؟» فَقَالَا: «مَثَلُهُمْ مَثَلُكَ. كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ كَصُورَةِ أَوْلَادِ مَلِكٍ». | ١٨ 18 |

| وَقَالَ لِيَثَرَ بِكْرِهِ: «قُمِ ٱقْتُلْهُمَا». فَلَمْ يَخْتَرِطِ ٱلْغُلَامُ سَيْفَهُ، لِأَنَّهُ خَافَ، بِمَا أَنَّهُ فَتًى بَعْدُ. | ٢٠ 20 |

| فَقَالَ زَبَحُ وَصَلْمُنَّاعُ: «قُمْ أَنْتَ وَقَعْ عَلَيْنَا، لِأَنَّهُ مِثْلُ ٱلرَّجُلِ بَطْشُهُ». فَقَامَ جِدْعُونُ وَقَتَلَ زَبَحَ وَصَلْمُنَّاعَ، وَأَخَذَ ٱلْأَهِلَّةَ ٱلَّتِي فِي أَعْنَاقِ جِمَالِهِمَا. | ٢١ 21 |

| وَقَالَ رِجَالُ إِسْرَائِيلَ لِجِدْعُونَ: «تَسَلَّطْ عَلَيْنَا أَنْتَ وَٱبْنُكَ وَٱبْنُ ٱبْنِكَ، لِأَنَّكَ قَدْ خَلَّصْتَنَا مِنْ يَدِ مِدْيَانَ». | ٢٢ 22 |

| فَقَالَ لَهُمْ جِدْعُونُ: «لَا أَتَسَلَّطُ أَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا يَتَسَلَّطُ ٱبْنِي عَلَيْكُمُ. اَلرَّبُّ يَتَسَلَّطُ عَلَيْكُمْ». | ٢٣ 23 |

| ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ جِدْعُونُ: «أَطْلُبُ مِنْكُمْ طِلْبَةً: أَنْ تُعْطُونِي كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ أَقْرَاطَ غَنِيمَتِهِ». لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ لَهُمْ أَقْرَاطُ ذَهَبٍ لِأَنَّهُمْ إِسْمَاعِيلِيُّونَ. | ٢٤ 24 |

| فَقَالُوا: «إِنَّنَا نُعْطِي». وَفَرَشُوا رِدَاءً وَطَرَحُوا عَلَيْهِ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ أَقْرَاطَ غَنِيمَتِهِ. | ٢٥ 25 |

| وَكَانَ وَزْنُ أَقْرَاطِ ٱلذَّهَبِ ٱلَّتِي طَلَبَ أَلْفًا وَسَبْعَ مِئَةِ شَاقِلٍ ذَهَبًا، مَا عَدَا ٱلْأَهِلَّةَ وَٱلْحَلَقَ وَأَثْوَابَ ٱلْأُرْجُوَانِ ٱلَّتِي عَلَى مُلُوكِ مِدْيَانَ، وَمَا عَدَا ٱلْقَلَائِدَ ٱلَّتِي فِي أَعْنَاقِ جِمَالِهِمْ. | ٢٦ 26 |

| فَصَنَعَ جِدْعُونُ مِنْهَا أَفُودًا وَجَعَلَهُ فِي مَدِينَتِهِ فِي عَفْرَةَ. وَزَنَى كُلُّ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَرَاءَهُ هُنَاكَ، فَكَانَ ذَلِكَ لِجِدْعُونَ وَبَيْتِهِ فَخًّا. | ٢٧ 27 |

| وَذَلَّ مِدْيَانُ أَمَامَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَمْ يَعُودُوا يَرْفَعُونَ رُؤُوسَهُمْ. وَٱسْتَرَاحَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً فِي أَيَّامِ جِدْعُونَ. | ٢٨ 28 |

| وَمَاتَ جِدْعُونُ بْنُ يُوآشَ بِشَيْبَةٍ صَالِحَةٍ، وَدُفِنَ فِي قَبْرِ يُوآشَ أَبِيهِ فِي عَفْرَةِ أَبِيعَزَرَ. | ٣٢ 32 |

| وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ ٱلرَّبَّ إِلَهَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي أَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ يَدِ جَمِيعِ أَعْدَائِهِمْ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ. | ٣٤ 34 |

| وَلَمْ يَعْمَلُوا مَعْرُوفًا مَعَ بَيْتِ يَرُبَّعْلَ، جِدْعُونَ، نَظِيرَ كُلِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ ٱلَّذِي عَمِلَ مَعَ إِسْرَائِيلَ. | ٣٥ 35 |
