| وَخَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلثَّانِيَةُ لِشِمْعُونَ، لِسِبْطِ بَنِي شِمْعُونَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ، وَكَانَ نَصِيبُهُمْ دَاخِلَ نَصِيبِ بَنِي يَهُوذَا. | ١ 1 |
The second lot cast went to the tribe of Simeon, by families. The land was within the land allotted to the tribe of Judah.
| فَكَانَ لَهُمْ فِي نَصِيبِهِمْ: بِئْرُ سَبْعٍ وَشَبَعُ وَمُولَادَةُ، | ٢ 2 |
Their allocation included Beersheba, Sheba, Moladah,
| وَحَصَرُ شُوعَالَ وَبَالَةُ وَعَاصَمُ، | ٣ 3 |
Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem,
| وَأَلْتُولَدُ وَبَتُولُ وَحُرْمَةُ، | ٤ 4 |
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
| وَصِقْلَغُ وَبَيْتُ ٱلْمَرْكَبُوتِ وَحَصَرُ سُوسَةَ، | ٥ 5 |
Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susah,
| وَبَيْتُ لَبَاوُتَ وَشَارُوحَيْنِ. ثَلَاثَ عَشَرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٦ 6 |
Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen—thirteen towns with their associated villages.
| عَيْنُ وَرِمُّونُ وَعَاتَرُ وَعَاشَانُ. أَرْبَعُ مُدُنٍ مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٧ 7 |
Also: Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan—four towns with their associated villages,
| وَجَمِيعُ ٱلضِّيَاعِ ٱلَّتِي حَوَالَيْ هَذِهِ ٱلْمُدُنِ إِلَى بَعْلَةِ بَئْرِ رَامَةِ ٱلْجَنُوبِ. هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ سِبْطِ بَنِي شِمْعُونَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. | ٨ 8 |
as well as all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath-beer (or Ramah of the Negev). This was the land allotted to the tribe of Simeon, by families.
| وَمِنْ قِسْمِ بَنِي يَهُوذَا كَانَ نَصِيبُ بَنِي شِمْعُونَ. لِأَنَّ قِسْمَ بَنِي يَهُوذَا كَانَ كَثِيرًا عَلَيْهِمْ، فَمَلَكَ بَنُو شِمْعُونَ دَاخِلَ نَصِيبِهِمْ. | ٩ 9 |
The allocation of the tribe of Simeon was part of that given to the tribe of Judah, since what the tribe of Judah had received was too large for them.
| وَطَلَعَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلثَّالِثَةُ لِبَنِي زَبُولُونَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. وَكَانَ تُخْمُ نَصِيبِهِمْ إِلَى سَارِيدَ. | ١٠ 10 |
The third lot cast went to the tribe of Zebulun, by families. The boundary of their allocation began at Sarid,
| وَصَعِدَ تُخْمُهُمْ نَحْوَ ٱلْغَرْبِ وَمَرْعَلَةَ، وَوَصَلَ إِلَى دَبَّاشَةَ، وَوَصَلَ إِلَى ٱلْوَادِي ٱلَّذِي مُقَابِلَ يَقْنَعَامَ، | ١١ 11 |
and then went west past Maralah, touched Dabbeshah, and then the brook near Jokneam.
| وَدَارَ مِنْ سَارِيدَ شَرْقًا نَحْوَ شُرُوقِ ٱلشَّمْسِ عَلَى التُّخْمِ كِسْلُوتِ تَابُورَ، وَخَرَجَ إِلَى ٱلدَّبْرَةِ وَصَعِدَ إِلَى يَافِيعَ، | ١٢ 12 |
Going the other way from Sarid, the boundary headed east to the border of Kislot-tabor, on to Daberath, and then up to Japhia.
| وَمِنْ هُنَاكَ عَبَرَ شَرْقًا نَحْوَ ٱلشُّرُوقِ إِلَى جَتَّ حَافَرَ إِلَى عِتِّ قَاصِينَ، وَخَرَجَ إِلَى رِمُّونَ وَٱمْتَدَّ إِلَى نَيْعَةَ. | ١٣ 13 |
From there it ran east to Gath-hepher, Eth-kazin, and on to Rimmon, and turned towards Neah.
| وَدَارَ بِهَا ٱلتُّخْمُ شِمَالًا إِلَى حَنَّاتُونَ، وَكَانَتْ مَخَارِجُهُ عِنْدَ وَادِي يَفْتَحْئِيلَ، | ١٤ 14 |
There the boundary turned north to Hannathon, ending at the valley of Iphtah-el.
| وَقَطَّةَ وَنَهْلَالَ وَشِمْرُونَ وَيَدَالَةَ وَبَيْتِ لَحْمٍ. ٱثْنَتَا عَشَرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ١٥ 15 |
The towns included: Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem—twelve towns with their associated villages.
| هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ بَنِي زَبُولُونَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. هَذِهِ ٱلْمُدُنُ مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ١٦ 16 |
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Zebulun, by families.
| وَخَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلرَّابِعَةُ لِيَسَّاكَرَ. لِبَنِي يَسَّاكَرَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. | ١٧ 17 |
The fourth lot cast went to the tribe of Issachar, by families.
| وَكَانَ تُخْمُهُمْ إِلَى يَزْرَعِيلَ وَٱلْكِسْلُوتِ وَشُونَمَ، | ١٨ 18 |
Their land included these towns: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
| وَحَفَارَايِمَ وَشِيئُونَ وَأَنَاحَرَةَ، | ١٩ 19 |
Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
| وَرَبِّيتَ وَقِشْيُونَ وَآبَصَ، | ٢٠ 20 |
Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
| وَرَمَةَ وَعَيْنِ جَنِّيمَ وَعَيْنِ حَدَّةَ وَبَيْتِ فَصَّيْصَ. | ٢١ 21 |
Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez.
| وَوَصَلَ ٱلتُّخْمُ إِلَى تَابُورَ وَشَحْصِيمَةَ وَبَيْتِ شَمْسٍ. وَكَانَتْ مَخَارِجُ تُخْمِهِمْ عِنْدَ ٱلْأُرْدُنِّ. سِتَّ عَشَرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٢٢ 22 |
The boundary also reached the towns of Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and ended at the Jordan River—sixteen towns with their associated villages.
| هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ بَنِي يَسَّاكَرَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمِ. ٱلْمُدُنُ مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٢٣ 23 |
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Zebulun, by families.
| وَخَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلْخَامِسَةُ لِسِبْطِ بَنِي أَشِيرَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. | ٢٤ 24 |
The fifth lot cast went to the tribe of Asher, by families.
| وَكَانَ تُخْمُهُمْ حَلْقَةَ وَحَلِي وَبَاطَنَ وَأَكْشَافَ، | ٢٥ 25 |
Their allocation included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
| وَأَلَّمَّلَكَ وَعَمْعَادَ وَمِشْآلَ، وَوَصَلَ إِلَى كَرْمَلَ غَرْبًا وَإِلَى شِيحُورِ لِبْنَةَ. | ٢٦ 26 |
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. Their boundary reached Carmel and Shihor-libnat in the west.
| وَرَجَعَ نَحْوَ مَشْرِقِ ٱلشَّمْسِ إِلَى بَيْتِ دَاجُونَ، وَوَصَلَ إِلَى زَبُولُونَ وَإِلَى وَادِي يَفْتَحْئِيلَ شِمَالِيَّ بَيْتِ ٱلْعَامِقِ وَنَعِيئِيلَ وَخَرَجَ إِلَى كَابُولَ عَنِ ٱلْيَسَارِ، | ٢٧ 27 |
Then it turned east towards Beth-dagon, reaching the land of Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el. From there it headed north to Beth-emek and Neiel, and continued north to Cabul, and on through to
| وَعَبْرُونَ وَرَحُوبَ وَحَمُّونَ وَقَانَةَ إِلَى صِيْدُونَ ٱلْعَظِيمَةِ. | ٢٨ 28 |
Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, and on up to Great Sidon.
| وَرَجَعَ ٱلتُّخْمُ إِلَى ٱلرَّامَةِ وَإِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ ٱلْمُحَصَّنَةِ صُورٍ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ ٱلتُّخْمُ إِلَى حُوصَةَ. وَكَانَتْ مَخَارِجُهُ عِنْدَ ٱلْبَحْرِ فِي كُورَةِ أَكْزِيبَ. | ٢٩ 29 |
The boundary then turned towards Ramah and then the fortified town of Tyre, turning to Hosah and ending at the sea. Towns included Mehebel, Aczib,
| وَعُمَّةَ وَأَفِيقَ وَرَحُوبَ. ٱثْنَتَانِ وَعِشْرُونَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٣٠ 30 |
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob—twenty-two towns with their associated villages.
| هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ سِبْطِ بَنِي أَشِيرَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. هَذِهِ ٱلْمُدُنُ مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٣١ 31 |
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Asher, by families.
| لِبَنِي نَفْتَالِي خَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلسَّادِسَةُ. لِبَنِي نَفْتَالِي حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. | ٣٢ 32 |
The sixth lot cast went to the tribe of Naphtali, by families.
| وَكَانَ تُخْمُهُمْ مِنْ حَالَفَ مِنَ ٱلْبَلُّوطَةِ عِنْدَ صَعَنَنِّيمَ وَأَدَامِي ٱلنَّاقِبِ وَيَبْنِئِيلَ إِلَى لَقُّومَ. وَكَانَتْ مَخَارِجُهُ عِنْدَ ٱلْأُرْدُنِّ. | ٣٣ 33 |
Their boundary began at Heleph, by the oak at Zaananim, and went across to Adami-nekeb, Jabneel, and up to Lakkum, and ending at the Jordan.
| وَرَجَعَ ٱلتُّخْمُ غَرْبًا إِلَى أَزْنُوتِ تَابُورَ، وَخَرَجَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ إِلَى حُقُّوقَ وَوَصَلَ إِلَى زَبُولُونَ جَنُوبًا، وَوَصَلَ إِلَى أَشِيرَ غَرْبًا، وَإِلَى يَهُوذَا ٱلْأُرْدُنِّ نَحْوَ شُرُوقِ ٱلشَّمْسِ. | ٣٤ 34 |
Then the boundary headed west to Aznoth-tabor, and on to Hukkok. It reached the land of Zebulun on the south, the land of Asher on the west, and the Jordan on the east.
| وَمُدُنٌ مُحَصَّنَةٌ: ٱلصِّدِّيمُ وَصَيْرُ وَحَمَّةُ وَرَقَّةُ وَكِنَّارَةُ، | ٣٥ 35 |
The fortified towns included: Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
| وَأَدَامَةُ وَٱلرَّامَةُ وَحَاصُورُ، | ٣٦ 36 |
Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
| وَقَادَشُ وَإِذْرَعِي وَعَيْنُ حَاصُورَ، | ٣٧ 37 |
Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor,
| وَيِرْأُونُ وَمَجْدَلُ إِيلَ وَحُورِيمُ وَبَيْتُ عَنَاةَ وَبَيْتُ شَمْسٍ. تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ مَدِينَةً مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٣٨ 38 |
Yiron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh—nineteen towns with their associated villages.
| هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ سِبْطِ بَنِي نَفْتَالِي حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمِ. اَلْمُدُنُ مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٣٩ 39 |
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Naphtali, by families.
| لِسِبْطِ بَنِي دَانَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ خَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلسَّابِعَةُ. | ٤٠ 40 |
The seventh lot cast went to the tribe of Dan, by families.
| وَكَانَ تُخْمُ نَصِيبِهِمْ صَرْعَةَ وَأَشْتَأُولَ وَعِيرَ شَمْسٍ، | ٤١ 41 |
Their allocation included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh,
| وَشَعَلَبَّيْنِ وَأَيَّلُونَ وَيِتْلَةَ، | ٤٢ 42 |
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
| وَإِيلُونَ وَتِمْنَةَ وَعَقْرُونَ، | ٤٣ 43 |
Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
| وَإِلْتَقَيْهَ وَجِبَّثُونَ وَبَعْلَةَ، | ٤٤ 44 |
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
| وَيَهُودَ وَبَنِي بَرَقَ وَجَتَّ رِمُّونَ، | ٤٥ 45 |
Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon,
| وَمِيَاهَ ٱلْيَرْقُونَ وَٱلرَّقُّونَ مَعَ ٱلتُّخُومِ ٱلَّتِي مُقَابِلَ يَافَا. | ٤٦ 46 |
Me-jarkon, Rakkon, along with the territory opposite Joppa.
| وَخَرَجَ تُخْمُ بَنِي دَانَ مِنْهُمْ وَصَعِدَ بَنُو دَانَ، وَحَارَبُوا لَشَمَ وَأَخَذُوهَا وَضَرَبُوهَا بِحَدِّ ٱلسَّيْفِ وَمَلَكُوهَا وَسَكَنُوهَا، وَدَعَوْا لَشَمَ دَانَ، كَٱسْمِ دَانَ أَبِيهِمْ. | ٤٧ 47 |
However, the tribe of Dan was not able to hold on to their allotted land, so they went and attacked Leshem and captured it. They slaughtered its inhabitants and took possession of the town, settling there. They renamed Leshem as Dan, after their ancestor.
| هَذَا هُوَ نَصِيبُ سِبْطِ بَنِي دَانَ حَسَبَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ. هَذِهِ ٱلْمُدُنُ مَعَ ضِيَاعِهَا. | ٤٨ 48 |
This was the allocation—the land, towns, and villages—given to the tribe of Dan, by families.
| وَلَمَّا ٱنْتَهَوْا مِنْ قِسْمَةِ ٱلْأَرْضِ حَسَبَ تُخُومِهَا، أَعْطَى بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ يَشُوعَ بْنَ نُونَ نَصِيبًا فِي وَسَطِهِمْ. | ٤٩ 49 |
After they finished allotting the land and establishing its borders, the Israelites gave Joshua, son of Nun, an allocation among them.
| حَسَبَ قَوْلِ ٱلرَّبِّ أَعْطَوْهُ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ ٱلَّتِي طَلَبَ: تِمْنَةَ سَارَحَ فِي جَبَلِ أَفْرَايِمَ، فَبَنَى ٱلْمَدِينَةَ وَسَكَنَ بِهَا. | ٥٠ 50 |
Following the Lord's command, they gave him the town he requested—Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim. He rebuilt the town and settled there.
| هَذِهِ هِيَ ٱلْأَنْصِبَةُ ٱلَّتِي قَسَمَهَا أَلِعَازَارُ ٱلْكَاهِنُ وَيَشُوعُ بْنُ نُونَ وَرُؤَسَاءُ آبَاءِ أَسْبَاطِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِٱلْقُرْعَةِ فِي شِيلُوهَ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ لَدَى بَابِ خَيْمَةِ ٱلِٱجْتِمَاعِ، وَٱنْتَهَوْا مِنْ قِسْمَةِ ٱلْأَرْضِ. | ٥١ 51 |
These were the allocations distributed by Eleazar the priest, Joshua, son of Nun, and the leaders of the Israelite tribes. They were made by casting lots at Shiloh in the presence of the Lord at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.
