أَيُّوبَ 14
| «اَلْإِنْسَانُ مَوْلُودُ ٱلْمَرْأَةِ، قَلِيلُ ٱلْأَيَّامِ وَشَبْعَانُ تَعَبًا. | ١ 1 |
man to beget woman short day and sated turmoil
| يَخْرُجُ كَٱلزَّهْرِ ثُمَّ يَنْحَسِمُ وَيَبْرَحُ كَٱلظِّلِّ وَلَا يَقِفُ. | ٢ 2 |
like/as flower to come out: issue and to languish and to flee like/as shadow and not to stand: stand
| فَعَلَى مِثْلِ هَذَا حَدَّقْتَ عَيْنَيْكَ، وَإِيَّايَ أَحْضَرْتَ إِلَى ٱلْمُحَاكَمَةِ مَعَكَ. | ٣ 3 |
also upon this to open eye your and [obj] me to come (in): bring in/on/with justice: judgement with you
| مَنْ يُخْرِجُ ٱلطَّاهِرَ مِنَ ٱلنَّجِسِ؟ لَا أَحَدٌ! | ٤ 4 |

| إِنْ كَانَتْ أَيَّامُهُ مَحْدُودَةً، وَعَدَدُ أَشْهُرِهِ عِنْدَكَ، وَقَدْ عَيَّنْتَ أَجَلَهُ فَلَا يَتَجَاوَزُهُ، | ٥ 5 |
if to decide day his number month his with you (statute: allotment his *QK) to make and not to pass
| فَأَقْصِرْ عَنْهُ لِيَسْتَرِحْ، إِلَى أَنْ يُسَرَّ كَٱلْأَجِيرِ بِٱنْتِهَاءِ يَوْمِهِ. | ٦ 6 |

| «لِأَنَّ لِلشَّجَرَةِ رَجَاءً. إِنْ قُطِعَتْ تُخْلِفْ أَيْضًا وَلَا تُعْدَمُ خَرَاعِيبُهَا. | ٧ 7 |

| وَلَوْ قَدُمَ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ أَصْلُهَا، وَمَاتَ فِي ٱلتُّرَابِ جِذْعُهَا، | ٨ 8 |
if be old in/on/with land: soil root his and in/on/with dust to die stock his
| فَمِنْ رَائِحَةِ ٱلْمَاءِ تُفْرِخُ وَتُنْبِتُ فُرُوعًا كَٱلْغِرْسِ. | ٩ 9 |
from aroma water to sprout and to make foliage like plantation
| أَمَّا ٱلرَّجُلُ فَيَمُوتُ وَيَبْلَى. ٱلْإِنْسَانُ يُسْلِمُ ٱلرُّوحَ، فَأَيْنَ هُوَ؟ | ١٠ 10 |
and great man to die and to weaken and to die man and where? he
| قَدْ تَنْفَدُ ٱلْمِيَاهُ مِنَ ٱلْبَحْرَةِ، وَٱلنَّهْرُ يَنْشَفُ وَيَجِفُّ، | ١١ 11 |
be gone water from sea and river to dry and to wither
| وَٱلْإِنْسَانُ يَضْطَجِعُ وَلَا يَقُومُ. لَا يَسْتَيْقِظُونَ حَتَّى لَا تَبْقَى ٱلسَّمَاوَاتُ، وَلَا يَنْتَبِهُونَ مِنْ نَوْمِهِمْ. | ١٢ 12 |
and man to lie down: lay down and not to arise: rise till lest heaven not to awake and not to rouse from sleep their
| «لَيْتَكَ تُوارِينِي فِي ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ، وَتُخْفِينِي إِلَى أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ غَضَبُكَ، وَتُعَيِّنُ لِي أَجَلًا فَتَذْكُرَنِي. (Sheol h7585) | ١٣ 13 |

| إِنْ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ أَفَيَحْيَا؟ كُلَّ أَيَّامِ جِهَادِي أَصْبِرُ إِلَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بَدَلِي. | ١٤ 14 |

| تَدْعُو فَأَنَا أُجِيبُكَ. تَشْتَاقُ إِلَى عَمَلِ يَدِكَ. | ١٥ 15 |

| أَمَّا ٱلْآنَ فَتُحْصِي خَطَوَاتِي، أَلَا تُحَافِظُ عَلَى خَطِيَّتِي! | ١٦ 16 |

| مَعْصِيَتِي مَخْتُومٌ عَلَيْهَا فِي صُرَّةٍ، وَتُلَفِّقُ عَلَيَّ فَوْقَ إِثْمِي. | ١٧ 17 |

| «إِنَّ ٱلْجَبَلَ ٱلسَّاقِطَ يَنْتَثِرُ، وَٱلصَّخْرَ يُزَحْزَحُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ. | ١٨ 18 |

| ٱلْحِجَارَةُ تَبْلِيهَا ٱلْمِيَاهُ وَتَجْرُفُ سُيُولُهَا تُرَابَ ٱلْأَرْضِ، وَكَذَلِكَ أَنْتَ تُبِيدُ رَجَاءَ ٱلْإِنْسَانِ. | ١٩ 19 |

| تَتَجَبَّرُ عَلَيْهِ أَبَدًا فَيَذْهَبُ. تُغَيِّرُ وَجْهَهُ وَتَطْرُدُهُ. | ٢٠ 20 |

| يُكْرَمُ بَنُوهُ وَلَا يَعْلَمُ، أَوْ يَصْغُرُونَ وَلَا يَفْهَمُ بِهِمْ. | ٢١ 21 |

| إِنَّمَا عَلَى ذَاتِهِ يَتَوَجَّعُ لَحْمُهُ وَعَلَى ذَاتِهَا تَنُوحُ نَفْسُهُ». | ٢٢ 22 |
