إِرْمِيَا 43

١ 1 وَكَانَ لَمَّا فَرَغَ إِرْمِيَا مِنْ أَنْ كَلَّمَ كُلَّ ٱلشَّعْبِ بِكُلِّ كَلَامِ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِهِمِ، ٱلَّذِي أَرْسَلَهُ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ،بِكُلِّ هَذَا ٱلكَلَامِ،

And it was when had finished Jeremiah to speak to all the people all [the] words of Yahweh God their which he had sent him Yahweh God their to them all the words these.

٢ 2 أَنَّ عَزَرْيَا بْنَ هُوشَعْيَا وَيُوحَانَانَ بْنَ قَارِيحَ، وَكُلَّ ٱلرِّجَالِ ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ كَلَّمُوا إِرْمِيَا قَائِلِينَ: «أَنْتَ مُتَكَلِّمٌ بِٱلْكَذِبِ! لَمْ يُرْسِلْكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُنَا لِتَقُولَ: لَا تَذْهَبُوا إِلَى مِصْرَ لِتَتَغَرَّبُوا هُنَاكَ.

And he said Azariah [the] son of Hoshaiah and Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all the people arrogant saying to Jeremiah falsehood you [are] speaking not he has sent you Yahweh God our saying not you must go Egypt to sojourn there.

٣ 3 بَلْ بَارُوخُ بْنُ نِيرِيَّا مُهَيِّجُكَ عَلَيْنَا لِتَدْفَعَنَا لِيَدِ ٱلْكَلْدَانِيِّينَ لِيَقْتُلُونَا، وَلِيَسْبُونَا إِلَى بَابِلَ».

For Baruch [the] son of Neriah [is] inciting you against us so as to give us in [the] hand of the Chaldeans to put to death us and to take into exile us Babylon.

٤ 4 فَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ يُوحَانَانُ بْنُ قَارِيحَ وَكُلُّ رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْجُيُوشِ وَكُلُّ ٱلشَّعْبِ لِصَوْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ بِٱلْإِقَامَةِ فِي أَرْضِ يَهُوذَا،

And not he listened Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies and all the people to [the] voice of Yahweh to remain in [the] land of Judah.

٥ 5 بَلْ أَخَذَ يُوحَانَانُ بْنُ قَارِيحَ، وَكُلُّ رُؤَسَاءِ ٱلْجُيُوشِ، كُلَّ بَقِيَّةِ يَهُوذَا ٱلَّذِينَ رَجَعُوا مِنْ كُلِّ ٱلْأُمَمِ ٱلَّذِينَ طُوِّحُوا إِلَيْهِمْ لِيَتَغَرَّبُوا فِي أَرْضِ يَهُوذَا،

And he took Johanan [the] son of Kareah and all [the] commanders of the armies all [the] remnant of Judah who they had come back from all the nations where they had been driven away there to sojourn in [the] land of Judah.

٦ 6 ٱلرِّجَالَ وَٱلنِّسَاءَ وَٱلْأَطْفَالَ وَبَنَاتِ ٱلْمَلِكِ، وَكُلَّ ٱلْأَنْفُسِ ٱلَّذِينَ تَرَكَهُمْ نَبُوزَرَادَانُ رَئِيسُ ٱلشُّرَطِ، مَعَ جَدَلْيَا بْنِ أَخِيقَامَ بْنِ شَافَانَ، وَإِرْمِيَا ٱلنَّبِيِّ وَبَارُوخَ بْنِ نِيرِيَّا،

The men and the women and the little one[s] and [the] daughters of the king and every person whom he had left Nebuzaradan [the] chief of [the] bodyguards with Gedaliah [the] son of Ahikam [the] son of Shaphan and Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch [the] son of Neriah.

٧ 7 فَجَاءُوا إِلَى أَرْضِ مِصْرَ لِأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَسْمَعُوا لِصَوْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ وَأَتَوْا إِلَى تَحْفَنْحِيسَ.

And they went [the] land of Egypt for not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh and they came to Tahpanhes.

٨ 8 ثُمَّ صَارَتْ كَلِمَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَى إِرْمِيَا فِي تَحْفَنْحِيسَ قَائِلَةً:

And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes saying.

٩ 9 «خُذْ بِيَدِكَ حِجَارَةً كَبِيرَةً وَٱطْمُرْهَا فِي ٱلْمِلَاطِ، فِي ٱلْمَلْبِنِ ٱلَّذِي عِنْدَ بَابِ بَيْتِ فِرْعَوْنَ فِي تَحْفَنْحِيسَ أَمَامَ رِجَالٍ يَهُودٍ.

Take in hand your stones large and you will hide them in the mortar in the brick-terrace which [is] at [the] entrance of [the] house of Pharaoh in Tahpanhes to [the] eyes of [the] people Jews.

١٠ 10 وَقُلْ لَهُمْ: هَكَذَا قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْجُنُودِ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ: هَأَنَذَا أُرْسِلُ وَآخُذُ نَبُوخَذْرَاصَّرَ مَلِكَ بَابِلَ عَبْدِي، وَأَضَعُ كُرْسِيَّهُ فَوْقَ هَذِهِ ٱلْحِجَارَةِ ٱلَّتِي طَمَرْتُهَا فَيُبْسِطُ دِيبَاجَهُ عَلَيْهَا.

And you will say to them thus he says Yahweh of hosts [the] God of Israel here I [am] about to send and I will fetch Nebuchadnezzar [the] king of Babylon servant my and I will set throne his from above the stones these which I have hidden and he will spread out (state tent his *Qk) over them.

١١ 11 وَيَأْتِي وَيَضْرِبُ أَرْضَ مِصْرَ، ٱلَّذِي لِلْمَوْتِ فَلِلْمَوْتِ، وَٱلَّذِي لِلسَّبْيِ فَلِلسَّبْيِ، وَٱلَّذِي لِلسَّيْفِ فَلِلسَّيْفِ.

(And he will come *QK) and he will attack [the] land of Egypt [those] who [are] for death to death and [those] who [are] for captivity to captivity and [those] who [are] for the sword to the sword.

١٢ 12 وَأُوقِدُ نَارًا فِي بُيُوتِ آلِهَةِ مِصْرَ فَيُحْرِقُهَا وَيَسْبِيهَا، وَيَلْبَسُ أَرْضَ مِصْرَ كَمَا يَلْبَسُ ٱلرَّاعِي رِدَاءَهُ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ هُنَاكَ بِسَلَامٍ.

And I will kindle fire in [the] houses of [the] gods of Egypt and he will burn them and he will take captive them and he will delouse [the] land of Egypt just as he delouses the shepherd garment his and he will go out from there in peace.

١٣ 13 وَيَكْسِرُ أَنْصَابَ بَيْتَ شَمْسٍ ٱلَّتِي فِي أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، وَيُحْرِقُ بُيُوتَ آلِهَةِ مِصْرَ بِٱلنَّارِ».

And he will break [the] sacred pillars of Beth Shemesh which [is] in [the] land of Egypt and [the] houses of [the] gods of Egypt he will burn with fire.
