إِشَعْيَاءَ 33

١ 1 وَيْلٌ لَكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُخْرِبُ وَأَنْتَ لَمْ تُخْرَبْ، وَأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاهِبُ وَلَمْ يَنْهَبُوكَ. حِينَ تَنْتَهِي مِنَ ٱلتَّخْرِيبِ تُخْرَبُ، وَحِينَ تَفْرَغُ مِنَ ٱلنَّهْبِ يَنْهَبُونَكَ.

Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou [wast] not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; [and] when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.

٢ 2 يَارَبُّ، تَرَاءَفْ عَلَيْنَا. إِيَّاكَ ٱنْتَظَرْنَا. كُنْ عَضُدَهُمْ فِي ٱلْغَدَوَاتِ. خَلَاصَنَا أَيْضًا فِي وَقْتِ ٱلشِّدَّةِ.

O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

٣ 3 مِنْ صَوْتِ ٱلضَّجِيجِ هَرَبَتِ ٱلشُّعُوبُ. مِنِ ٱرْتِفَاعِكَ تَبَدَّدَتِ ٱلْأُمَمُ.

At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.

٤ 4 وَيُجْنَى سَلَبُكُمْ جَنَى ٱلْجَرَادِ. كَتَرَاكُضِ ٱلْجُنْدُبِ يُتَرَاكَضُ عَلَيْهِ.

And your spoil shall be gathered [like] the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

٥ 5 تَعَالَى ٱلرَّبُّ لِأَنَّهُ سَاكِنٌ فِي ٱلْعَلَاءِ. مَلَأَ صِهْيَوْنَ حَقًّا وَعَدْلًا.

The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

٦ 6 فَيَكُونُ أَمَانُ أَوْقَاتِكَ وَفْرَةَ خَلَاصٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ وَمَعْرِفَةٍ. مَخَافَةُ ٱلرَّبِّ هِيَ كَنْزُهُ.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, [and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD [is] his treasure.

٧ 7 هُوَذَا أَبْطَالُهُمْ قَدْ صَرَخُوا خَارِجًا. رُسُلُ ٱلسَّلَامِ يَبْكُونَ بِمَرَارَةٍ.

Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.

٨ 8 خَلَتِ ٱلسِّكَكُ. بَادَ عَابِرُ ٱلسَّبِيلِ. نَكَثَ ٱلْعَهْدَ. رَذَلَ ٱلْمُدُنَ. لَمْ يَعْتَدَّ بِإِنْسَانٍ.

The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.

٩ 9 نَاحَتْ، ذَبُلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ. خَجِلَ لُبْنَانُ وَتَلِفَ. صَارَ شَارُونُ كَٱلْبَادِيَةِ. نُثِرَ بَاشَانُ وَكَرْمَلُ.

The earth mourneth [and] languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed [and] hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their fruits].

١٠ 10 «اَلْآنَ أَقُومُ، يَقُولُ ٱلرَّبُّ. ٱلْآنَ أَصْعَدُ. ٱلْآنَ أَرْتَفِعُ.

Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

١١ 11 تَحْبَلُونَ بِحَشِيشٍ، تَلِدُونَ قَشِيشًا. نَفَسُكُمْ نَارٌ تَأْكُلُكمْ.

Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, [as] fire, shall devour you.

١٢ 12 وَتَصِيرُ ٱلشُّعُوبُ وَقُودَ كِلْسٍ، أَشْوَاكًا مَقْطُوعَةً تُحْرَقُ بِٱلنَّارِ».

And the people shall be [as] the burnings of lime: [as] thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

١٣ 13 اِسْمَعُوا أَيُّهَا ٱلْبَعِيدُونَ مَا صَنَعْتُ، وَٱعْرِفُوا أَيُّهَا ٱلْقَرِيبُونَ بَطْشِي.

Hear, ye [that are] far off, what I have done; and, ye [that are] near, acknowledge my might.

١٤ 14 ٱرْتَعَبَ فِي صِهْيَوْنَ ٱلْخُطَاةُ. أَخَذَتِ ٱلرِّعْدَةُ ٱلْمُنَافِقِينَ: «مَنْ مِنَّا يَسْكُنُ فِي نَارٍ آكِلَةٍ؟ مَنْ مِنَّا يَسْكُنُ فِي وَقَائِدَ أَبَدِيَّةٍ؟»

The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

١٥ 15 ٱلسَّالِكُ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَٱلْمُتَكَلِّمُ بِٱلِٱسْتِقَامَةِ، ٱلرَّاذِلُ مَكْسَبَ ٱلْمَظَالِمِ، ٱلنَّافِضُ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ قَبْضِ ٱلرَّشْوَةِ، ٱلَّذِي يَسُدُّ أُذُنَيْهِ عَنْ سَمْعِ ٱلدِّمَاءِ، وَيُغَمِّضُ عَيْنَيْهِ عَنِ ٱلنَّظَرِ إِلَى ٱلشَّرِّ

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

١٦ 16 هُوَ فِي ٱلْأَعَالِي يَسْكُنُ. حُصُونُ ٱلصُّخُورِ مَلْجَأُهُ. يُعْطَى خُبْزَهُ، وَمِيَاهُهُ مَأْمُونَةٌ.

He shall dwell on high: his place of defence [shall be] the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters [shall be] sure.

١٧ 17 اَلْمَلِكَ بِبَهَائِهِ تَنْظُرُ عَيْنَاكَ. تَرَيَانِ أَرْضًا بَعِيدَةً.

Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

١٨ 18 قَلْبُكَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلرُّعْبَ: «أَيْنَ ٱلْكَاتِبُ؟ أَيْنَ ٱلْجَابِي؟ أَيْنَ ٱلَّذِي عَدَّ ٱلْأَبْرَاجَ؟»

Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where [is] the scribe? where [is] the receiver? where [is] he that counted the towers?

١٩ 19 ٱلشَّعْبَ ٱلشَّرِسَ لَا تَرَى. ٱلشَّعْبَ ٱلْغَامِضَ ٱللُّغَةِ عَنِ ٱلْإِدْرَاكِ، ٱلْعَيِيَّ بِلِسَانٍ لَا يُفْهَمُ.

Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, [that thou canst] not understand.

٢٠ 20 اُنْظُرْ صِهْيَوْنَ مَدِينَةَ أَعْيَادِنَا. عَيْنَاكَ تَرَيَانِ أُورُشَلِيمَ مَسْكِنًا مُطْمَئِنًّا، خَيْمَةً لَا تَنْتَقِلُ، لَا تُقْلَعُ أَوْتَادُهَا إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ، وَشَيْءٌ مِنْ أَطْنَابِهَا لَا يَنْقَطِعُ.

Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle [that] shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

٢١ 21 بَلْ هُنَاكَ ٱلرَّبُّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ لَنَا مَكَانُ أَنْهَارٍ وَتُرَعٍ وَاسِعَةِ ٱلشَّوَاطِئِ. لَا يَسِيرُ فِيهَا قَارِبٌ بِمِقْذَافٍ، وَسَفِينَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ لَا تَجْتَازُ فِيهَا.

But there the glorious LORD [will be] unto us a place of broad rivers [and] streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

٢٢ 22 فَإِنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ قَاضِينَا. ٱلرَّبُّ شَارِعُنَا. ٱلرَّبُّ مَلِكُنَا هُوَ يُخَلِّصُنَا.

For the LORD [is] our judge, the LORD [is] our lawgiver, the LORD [is] our king; he will save us.

٢٣ 23 ٱرْتَخَتْ حِبَالُكِ. لَا يُشَدِّدُونَ قَاعِدَةَ سَارِيَتِهِمْ. لَا يَنْشُرُونَ قِلْعًا. حِينَئِذٍ قُسِمَ سَلَبُ غَنِيمَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ. ٱلْعُرْجُ نَهَبُوا نَهْبًا.

Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.

٢٤ 24 وَلَا يَقُولُ سَاكِنٌ: «أَنَا مَرِضْتُ». ٱلشَّعْبُ ٱلسَّاكِنُ فِيهَا مَغْفُورُ ٱلْإِثْمِ.

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein [shall be] forgiven [their] iniquity.
