إِشَعْيَاءَ 23

١ 1 وَحْيٌ مِنْ جِهَةِ صُورَ: وَلْوِلِي يَاسُفُنَ تَرْشِيشَ، لِأَنَّهَا خَرِبَتْ حَتَّى لَيْسَ بَيْتٌ حَتَّى لَيْسَ مَدْخَلٌ. مِنْ أَرْضِ كِتِّيمَ أُعْلِنَ لَهُمْ.

The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in. It is revealed to them from the land of Kittim.

٢ 2 اِنْدَهِشُوا يَا سُكَّانَ ٱلسَّاحِلِ. تُجَّارُ صِيدُونُ ٱلْعَابِرُونَ ٱلْبَحْرَ مَلَأُوكِ.

Be still, ye inhabitants of the coast, thou whom the merchants of Sidon, who pass over the sea, have replenished.

٣ 3 وَغَلَّتُهَا، زَرْعُ شِيحُورَ، حَصَادُ ٱلنِّيلِ، عَلَى مِيَاهٍ كَثِيرَةٍ فَصَارَتْ مَتْجَرَةً لِأُمَمٍ.

And on great waters the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue, and she was the mart of nations.

٤ 4 اِخْجَلِي يَا صِيدُونُ لِأَنَّ ٱلْبَحْرَ، حِصْنَ ٱلْبَحْرِ، نَطَقَ قَائِلًا: «لَمْ أَتَمَخَّضْ وَلَا وَلَدْتُ وَلَا رَبَّيْتُ شَبَابًا وَلَا نَشَّأْتُ عَذَارَى».

Be thou ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.

٥ 5 عِنْدَ وُصُولِ ٱلْخَبَرِ إِلَى مِصْرَ، يَتَوَجَّعُونَ، عِنْدَ وُصُولِ خَبَرِ صُورَ.

When the report comes to Egypt, they shall be greatly pained at the report of Tyre.

٦ 6 اُعْبُرُوا إِلَى تَرْشِيشَ. وَلْوِلُوا يَا سُكَّانَ ٱلسَّاحِلِ.

Pass ye over to Tarshish. Wail, ye inhabitants of the coast.

٧ 7 أَهَذِهِ لَكُمُ ٱلْمُفْتَخِرَةُ ٱلَّتِي مُنْذُ ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْقَدِيمَةِ قِدَمُهَا؟ تَنْقُلُهَا رِجْلَاهَا بَعِيدًا لِلتَّغَرُّبِ.

Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her afar off to sojourn?

٨ 8 مَنْ قَضَى بِهَذَا عَلَى صُورَ ٱلْمُتَوِّجَةِ ٱلَّتِي تُجَّارُهَا رُؤَسَاءُ؟ مُتَسَبِّبُوهَا مُوَقَّرُو ٱلْأَرْضِ.

Who has purposed this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, whose merchants are rulers, whose traders are the honored of the earth?

٩ 9 رَبُّ ٱلْجُنُودِ قَضَى بِهِ لِيُدَنِّسَ كِبْرِيَاءَ كُلِّ مَجْدٍ، وَيَهِينَ كُلَّ مُوَقَّرِي ٱلْأَرْضِ.

Jehovah of hosts has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

١٠ 10 اِجْتَازِي أَرْضَكِ كَٱلنِّيلِ يَابِنْتَ تَرْشِيشَ. لَيْسَ حَصْرٌ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.

Pass through thy land as the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish, there is no restraint any more.

١١ 11 مَدَّ يَدَهُ عَلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ. أَرْعَدَ مَمَالِكَ. أَمَرَ ٱلرَّبُّ مِنْ جِهَةِ كَنْعَانَ أَنْ تُخْرَبَ حُصُونُهَا.

He has stretched out his hand over the sea. He has shaken the kingdoms. Jehovah has given commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strongholds of it.

١٢ 12 وَقَالَ: «لَا تَعُودِينَ تَفْتَخِرِينَ أَيْضًا أَيَّتُهَا ٱلْمُنْهَتِكَةُ، ٱلْعَذْرَاءُ بِنْتُ صِيْدُونَ. قُومِي إِلَى كِتِّيمَ. ٱعْبُرِي. هُنَاكَ أَيْضًا لَا رَاحَةَ لَكِ».

And he said, Thou shall no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim, even there shall thou have no rest.

١٣ 13 هُوَذَا أَرْضُ ٱلْكَلْدَانِيِّينَ. هَذَا ٱلشَّعْبُ لَمْ يَكُنْ. أَسَّسَهَا أَشُّورُ لِأَهْلِ ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ. قَدْ أَقَامُوا أَبْرَاجَهُمْ. دَمَّرُوا قُصُورَهَا. جَعَلَهَا رَدْمًا.

Behold, the land of the Chaldeans. This people once was not. The Assyrian founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They raised up the palaces of it. Then they made it a ruin.

١٤ 14 وَلْوِلِي يَا سُفُنَ تَرْشِيشَ لِأَنَّ حِصْنَكِ قَدْ أُخْرِبَ.

Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is laid waste.

١٥ 15 وَيَكُونُ فِي ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ أَنَّ صُورَ تُنْسَى سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً كَأَيَّامِ مَلِكٍ وَاحِدٍ. مِنْ بَعْدِ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً يَكُونُ لِصُورَ كَأُغْنِيَّةِ ٱلزَّانِيَةِ:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it shall be to Tyre as in the song of the harlot:

١٦ 16 «خُذِي عُودًا. طُوفِي فِي ٱلْمَدِينَةِ أَيَّتُهَا ٱلزَّانِيَةُ ٱلْمَنْسِيَّةُ. أَحْسِنِي ٱلْعَزْفَ، أَكْثِرِي ٱلْغِنَاءَ لِكَيْ تُذْكَرِي».

Take a harp, go about the city, thou harlot who has been forgotten. Make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou may be remembered.

١٧ 17 وَيَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً أَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ يَتَعَهَّدُ صُورَ فَتَعُودُ إِلَى أُجْرَتِهَا، وَتَزْنِي مَعَ كُلِّ مَمَالِكِ ٱلْبِلَادِ عَلَى وَجْهِ ٱلْأَرْضِ.

And it came to pass after the end of seventy years, that Jehovah examined Tyre, and she has repented of her gift, that she play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

١٨ 18 وَتَكُونُ تِجَارَتُهَا وَأُجْرَتُهَا قُدْسًا لِلرَّبِّ. لَا تُخْزَنُ وَلَا تُكْنَزُ، بَلْ تَكُونُ تِجَارَتُهَا لِلْمُقِيمِينَ أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ، لِأَكْلٍ إِلَى ٱلشِبَعِ وَلِلِبَاسٍ فَاخِرٍ.

And her merchandise and her pay shall be holiness to Jehovah. It shall not be treasured nor laid up, for her merchandise shall be for those who dwell before Jehovah, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
