اَلتَّكْوِينُ 5

١ 1 هَذَا كِتَابُ مَوَالِيدِ آدَمَ، يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱللهُ ٱلْإِنْسَانَ. عَلَى شَبَهِ ٱللهِ عَمِلَهُ.

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created humankind, he made him in God's likeness.

٢ 2 ذَكَرًا وَأُنْثَى خَلَقَهُ، وَبَارَكَهُ وَدَعَا ٱسْمَهُ آدَمَ يَوْمَ خُلِقَ.

He created them male and female, and blessed them, and called their name "humankind" on the day when they were created.

٣ 3 وَعَاشَ آدَمُ مِئَةً وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ وَلَدًا عَلَى شَبَهِهِ كَصُورَتِهِ وَدَعَا ٱسْمَهُ شِيثًا.

Adam lived two hundred and thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

٤ 4 وَكَانَتْ أَيَّامُ آدَمَ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ شِيثًا ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were seven hundred years, and he became the father of sons and daughters.

٥ 5 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ آدَمَ ٱلَّتِي عَاشَهَا تِسْعَ مِئَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً، وَمَاتَ.

All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, then he died.

٦ 6 وَعَاشَ شِيثُ مِئَةً وَخَمْسَ سِنِينَ، وَوَلَدَ أَنُوشَ.

Seth lived two hundred and five years, and became the father of Enosh.

٧ 7 وَعَاشَ شِيثُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ أَنُوشَ ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةٍ وَسَبْعَ سِنِينَ، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh seven hundred and seven years, and fathered sons and daughters.

٨ 8 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ شِيثَ تِسْعَ مِئَةٍ وَٱثْنَتَيْ عَشَرَةَ سَنَةً، وَمَاتَ.

All the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, then he died.

٩ 9 وَعَاشَ أَنُوشُ تِسْعِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ قِينَانَ.

Enosh lived one hundred and ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.

١٠ 10 وَعَاشَ أَنُوشُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ قِينَانَ ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسَ عَشَرَةَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan, seven hundred and fifteen years, and fathered sons and daughters.

١١ 11 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ أَنُوشَ تِسْعَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسَ سِنِينَ، وَمَاتَ.

All the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, then he died.

١٢ 12 وَعَاشَ قِينَانُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ مَهْلَلْئِيلَ.

Kenan lived one hundred and seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.

١٣ 13 وَعَاشَ قِينَانُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ مَهْلَلْئِيلَ ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel seven hundred and forty years, and fathered sons and daughters

١٤ 14 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ قِينَانَ تِسْعَ مِئَةٍ وَعَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَمَاتَ.

and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, then he died.

١٥ 15 وَعَاشَ مَهْلَلْئِيلُ خَمْسًا وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ يَارَدَ.

Mahalalel lived one hundred and sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.

١٦ 16 وَعَاشَ مَهْلَلْئِيلُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ يَارَدَ ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared seven hundred and thirty years, and fathered sons and daughters.

١٧ 17 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ مَهْلَلْئِيلَ ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسًا وَتِسْعِينَ سَنَةً، وَمَاتَ.

All the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, then he died.

١٨ 18 وَعَاشَ يَارَدُ مِئَةً وَٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ أَخْنُوخَ.

Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and became the father of Enoch.

١٩ 19 وَعَاشَ يَارَدُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ أَخْنُوخَ ثَمَانِيَ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Jared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters.

٢٠ 20 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ يَارَدَ تِسْعَ مِئَةٍ وَٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَمَاتَ.

All the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, then he died.

٢١ 21 وَعَاشَ أَخْنُوخُ خَمْسًا وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ مَتُوشَالَحَ.

Enoch lived one hundred and sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.

٢٢ 22 وَسَارَ أَخْنُوخُ مَعَ ٱللهِ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ مَتُوشَالَحَ ثَلَاثَ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Enoch walked with God after he became the father of Methuselah two hundred years, and fathered sons and daughters.

٢٣ 23 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ أَخْنُوخَ ثَلَاثَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسًا وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً.

All the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

٢٤ 24 وَسَارَ أَخْنُوخُ مَعَ ٱللهِ، وَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لِأَنَّ ٱللهَ أَخَذَهُ.

Enoch walked with God, and then he was not there, for God took him.

٢٥ 25 وَعَاشَ مَتُوشَالَحُ مِئَةً وَسَبْعًا وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ لَامَكَ.

Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.

٢٦ 26 وَعَاشَ مَتُوشَالَحُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ لَامَكَ سَبْعَ مِئَةٍ وَٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and fathered sons and daughters.

٢٧ 27 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ مَتُوشَالَحَ تِسْعَ مِئَةٍ وَتِسْعًا وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَمَاتَ.

All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, then he died.

٢٨ 28 وَعَاشَ لَامَكُ مِئَةً وَٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ ٱبْنًا.

Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son,

٢٩ 29 وَدَعَا ٱسْمَهُ نُوحًا، قَائِلًا: «هَذَا يُعَزِّينَا عَنْ عَمَلِنَا وَتَعَبِ أَيْدِينَا مِنْ قِبَلِ ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِي لَعَنَهَا ٱلرَّبُّ».

and he named him Noah, saying, "This one will comfort us in our labor and in the hard work of our hands, because of the ground which God has cursed."

٣٠ 30 وَعَاشَ لَامَكُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ نُوحًا خَمْسَ مِئَةٍ وَخَمْسًا وَتِسْعِينَ سَنَةً، وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ.

Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and fathered sons and daughters.

٣١ 31 فَكَانَتْ كُلُّ أَيَّامِ لَامَكَ سَبْعَ مِئَةٍ وَسَبْعًا وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً، وَمَاتَ.

All the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, then he died.

٣٢ 32 وَكَانَ نُوحٌ ٱبْنَ خَمْسِ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ. وَوَلَدَ نُوحٌ: سَامًا، وَحَامًا، وَيَافَثَ.

Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
