اَلتَّثْنِيَة 15

١ 1 «فِي آخِرِ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ تَعْمَلُ إِبْرَاءً.

At the end of every seven years thou shall make a release.

٢ 2 وَهَذَا هُوَ حُكْمُ ٱلْإِبْرَاءِ: يُبْرِئُ كُلُّ صَاحِبِ دَيْنٍ يَدَهُ مِمَّا أَقْرَضَ صَاحِبَهُ. لَا يُطَالِبُ صَاحِبَهُ وَلَا أَخَاهُ، لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ نُودِيَ بِإِبْرَاءٍ لِلرَّبِّ.

And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor shall release that which he has lent to his neighbor. He shall not exact it from his neighbor and his brother, because Jehovah's release has been proclaimed.

٣ 3 ٱلْأَجْنَبِيَّ تُطَالِبُ، وَأَمَّا مَا كَانَ لَكَ عِنْدَ أَخِيكَ فَتُبْرِئُهُ يَدُكَ مِنْهُ.

From a foreigner thou may exact it, but whatever of thine is with thy brother, thy hand shall release.

٤ 4 إِلَّا إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيكَ فَقِيرٌ. لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ إِنَّمَا يُبَارِكُكَ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلَّتِي يُعْطِيكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ نَصِيبًا لِتَمْتَلِكَهَا.

However there shall be no poor with thee (for Jehovah will surely bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God gives thee for an inheritance to possess it),

٥ 5 إِذَا سَمِعْتَ صَوْتَ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ لِتَحْفَظَ وَتَعْمَلَ كُلَّ هَذِهِ ٱلْوَصَايَا ٱلَّتِي أَنَا أُوصِيكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ،

if only thou diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command thee this day.

٦ 6 يُبَارِكُكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ كَمَا قَالَ لَكَ. فَتُقْرِضُ أُمَمًا كَثِيرَةً وَأَنْتَ لَا تَقْتَرِضُ، وَتَتَسَلَّطُ عَلَى أُمَمٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَهُمْ عَلَيْكَ لَا يَتَسَلَّطُونَ.

For Jehovah thy God will bless thee as he promised thee, and thou shall lend to many nations, but thou shall not borrow, and thou shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over thee.

٧ 7 «إِنْ كَانَ فِيكَ فَقِيرٌ، أَحَدٌ مِنْ إِخْوَتِكَ فِي أَحَدِ أَبْوَابِكَ فِي أَرْضِكَ ٱلَّتِي يُعْطِيكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ، فَلَا تُقَسِّ قَلْبَكَ، وَلَا تَقْبِضْ يَدَكَ عَنْ أَخِيكَ ٱلْفَقِيرِ،

If there be with thee a poor man, one of thy brothers, within any of thy gates in thy land which Jehovah thy God gives thee, thou shall not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy poor brother,

٨ 8 بَلِ ٱفْتَحْ يَدَكَ لَهُ وَأَقْرِضْهُ مِقْدَارَ مَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ.

but thou shall surely open thy hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need which he wants.

٩ 9 ٱحْتَرِزْ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ مَعَ قَلْبِكَ كَلَامٌ لَئِيمٌ قَائِلًا: قَدْ قَرُبَتِ ٱلسَّنَةُ ٱلسَّابِعَةُ، سَنَةُ ٱلْإِبْرَاءِ، وَتَسُوءُ عَيْنُكَ بِأَخِيكَ ٱلْفَقِيرِ وَلَا تُعْطِيهِ، فَيَصْرُخَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فَتَكُونُ عَلَيْكَ خَطِيَّةٌ.

Beware that there not be a base thought in thy heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand, and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou give him nothing, and he cry to Jehovah against thee, and it be sin to thee.

١٠ 10 أَعْطِهِ وَلَا يَسُوءْ قَلْبُكَ عِنْدَمَا تُعْطِيهِ، لِأَنَّهُ بِسَبَبِ هَذَا ٱلْأَمْرِ يُبَارِكُكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ فِي كُلِّ أَعْمَالِكَ وَجَمِيعِ مَا تَمْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِ يَدُكَ.

Thou shall surely give him, and thy heart shall not be grieved when thou give to him, because for this thing Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thy work, and in all that thou put thy hand to.

١١ 11 لِأَنَّهُ لَا تُفْقَدُ ٱلْفُقَرَاءُ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ. لِذَلِكَ أَنَا أُوصِيكَ قَائِلًا: ٱفْتَحْ يَدَكَ لِأَخِيكَ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ وَٱلْفَقِيرِ فِي أَرْضِكَ.

For the poor will never cease out of the land. Therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shall surely open thy hand to thy brother, to thy needy, and to thy poor, in thy land.

١٢ 12 «إِذَا بِيعَ لَكَ أَخُوكَ ٱلْعِبْرَانِيُّ أَوْ أُخْتُكَ ٱلْعِبْرَانِيَّةُ وَخَدَمَكَ سِتَّ سِنِينَ، فَفِي ٱلسَّنَةِ ٱلسَّابِعَةِ تُطْلِقُهُ حُرًّا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ.

If thy brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, is sold to thee, and serves thee six years, then in the seventh year thou shall let him go free from thee.

١٣ 13 وَحِينَ تُطْلِقُهُ حُرًّا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ لَا تُطْلِقُهُ فَارِغًا.

And when thou let him go free from thee, thou shall not let him go empty.

١٤ 14 تُزَوِّدُهُ مِنْ غَنَمِكَ وَمِنْ بَيْدَرِكَ وَمِنْ مَعْصَرَتِكَ. كَمَا بَارَكَكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ تُعْطِيهِ.

Thou shall furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy winepress. As Jehovah thy God has blessed thee thou shall give to him.

١٥ 15 وَٱذْكُرْ أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ عَبْدًا فِي أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، فَفَدَاكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ. لِذَلِكَ أَنَا أُوصِيكَ بِهَذَا ٱلْأَمْرِ ٱلْيَوْمَ.

And thou shall remember that thou were a bondman in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God redeemed thee. Therefore I command thee this thing today.

١٦ 16 وَلَكِنْ إِذَا قَالَ لَكَ: لَا أَخْرُجُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ. لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ أَحَبَّكَ وَبَيْتَكَ، إِذْ كَانَ لَهُ خَيْرٌ عِنْدَكَ،

And it shall be, if he says to thee, I will not go out from thee, because he loves thee and thy house, because he is well with thee,

١٧ 17 فَخُذِ ٱلْمِخْرَزَ وَٱجْعَلْهُ فِي أُذُنِهِ وَفِي ٱلْبَابِ، فَيَكُونَ لَكَ عَبْدًا مُؤَبَّدًا. وَهَكَذَا تَفْعَلُ لِأَمَتِكَ أَيْضًا.

then thou shall take an awl, and thrust it through his ear to the door, and he shall be thy servant forever. And also to thy maid-servant thou shall do likewise.

١٨ 18 لَا يَصْعُبْ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تُطْلِقَهُ حُرًّا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، لِأَنَّهُ ضِعْفَيْ أُجْرَةِ ٱلْأَجِيرِ خَدَمَكَ سِتَّ سِنِينَ. فَيُبَارِكُكَ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُكَ فِي كُلِّ مَا تَعْمَلُ.

It shall not seem hard to thee when thou let him go free from thee, for he has been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years. And Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all that thou do.

١٩ 19 «كُلُّ بِكْرٍ ذَكَرٍ يُولَدُ مِنْ بَقَرِكَ وَمِنْ غَنَمِكَ تُقَدِّسُهُ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ. لَا تَشْتَغِلْ عَلَى بِكْرِ بَقَرِكَ وَلَا تَجُزَّ بِكْرَ غَنَمِكَ.

All the firstling males that are born of thy herd and of thy flock thou shall sanctify to Jehovah thy God. Thou shall do no work with the firstling of thy herd, nor shear the firstling of thy flock.

٢٠ 20 أَمَامَ ٱلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ تَأْكُلُهُ سَنَةً بِسَنَةٍ، فِي ٱلْمَكَانِ ٱلَّذِي يَخْتَارُهُ ٱلرَّبُّ، أَنْتَ وَبَيْتُكَ.

Thou shall eat it before Jehovah thy God year by year in the place which Jehovah shall choose, thou and thy household.

٢١ 21 وَلَكِنْ إِذَا كَانَ فِيهِ عَيْبٌ، عَرَجٌ أَوْ عَمًى، عَيْبٌ مَّا رَدِيءٌ، فَلَا تَذْبَحْهُ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ.

And if it has any blemish, as lame or blind, any ill blemish whatever, thou shall not sacrifice it to Jehovah thy God.

٢٢ 22 فِي أَبْوَابِكَ تَأْكُلُهُ. ٱلنَّجِسُ وَٱلطَّاهِرُ سَوَاءً كَٱلظَّبْيِ وَٱلْأُيَّلِ.

Thou shall eat it within thy gates. The unclean man and the clean man alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart.

٢٣ 23 وَأَمَّا دَمُهُ فَلَا تَأْكُلُهُ. عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ تَسْفِكُهُ كَٱلْمَاءِ.

Only thou shall not eat the blood of it. Thou shall pour it out upon the ground as water.
