٢ تسالونيكي 2

١ 1 ثُمَّ نَسْأَلُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ مِنْ جِهَةِ مَجِيءِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ وَٱجْتِمَاعِنَا إِلَيْهِ،

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to meet him, I entreat you, brothers,

٢ 2 أَنْ لَا تَتَزَعْزَعُوا سَرِيعًا عَنْ ذِهْنِكُمْ، وَلَا تَرْتَاعُوا، لَا بِرُوحٍ وَلَا بِكَلِمَةٍ وَلَا بِرِسَالَةٍ كَأَنَّهَا مِنَّا: أَيْ أَنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ قَدْ حَضَرَ.

not to be "quickly shaken out of your wits" and not to be agitated either by a spirit or by a message, or by an epistle purporting to be from me, saying, "The Day of the Lord is at hand."

٣ 3 لَا يَخْدَعَنَّكُمْ أَحَدٌ عَلَى طَرِيقَةٍ مَا، لِأَنَّهُ لَا يَأْتِي إِنْ لَمْ يَأْتِ ٱلِٱرْتِدَادُ أَوَّلًا، وَيُسْتَعْلَنْ إِنْسَانُ ٱلْخَطِيَّةِ، ٱبْنُ ٱلْهَلَاكِ،

Let no one deceive you by any means. For it will not come until after the Great Apostasy, and the revealing of the Man of Sin, the son of perdition,

٤ 4 ٱلْمُقَاوِمُ وَٱلْمُرْتَفِعُ عَلَى كُلِّ مَا يُدْعَى إِلَهًا أَوْ مَعْبُودًا، حَتَّى إِنَّهُ يَجْلِسُ فِي هَيْكَلِ ٱللهِ كَإِلَهٍ، مُظْهِرًا نَفْسَهُ أَنَّهُ إِلَهٌ.

the adversary, who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God, or is an object of worship; so that he takes his seat in the Temple of God, and vaunts himself as God.

٥ 5 أَمَا تَذْكُرُونَ أَنِّي وَأَنَا بَعْدُ عِنْدَكُمْ، كُنْتُ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ هَذَا؟

Do you not recall that I often told you this, when I was with you?

٦ 6 وَٱلْآنَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا يَحْجِزُ حَتَّى يُسْتَعْلَنَ فِي وَقْتِهِ.

And now you know what is holding him back, to the end that he may be revealed in his appointed time.

٧ 7 لِأَنَّ سِرَّ ٱلْإِثْمِ ٱلْآنَ يَعْمَلُ فَقَطْ، إِلَى أَنْ يُرْفَعَ مِنَ ٱلْوَسَطِ ٱلَّذِي يَحْجِزُ ٱلْآنَ،

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only there is one who is hindering and will continue to hinder till he be removed;

٨ 8 وَحِينَئِذٍ سَيُسْتَعْلَنُ ٱلْأَثِيمُ، ٱلَّذِي ٱلرَّبُّ يُبِيدُهُ بِنَفْخَةِ فَمِهِ، وَيُبْطِلُهُ بِظُهُورِ مَجِيئِهِ.

and then the lawless one will be revealed. Him the Lord will consume with the breath of his lips, and destroy with the brightness of his appearing;

٩ 9 ٱلَّذِي مَجِيئُهُ بِعَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَانِ، بِكُلِّ قُوَّةٍ، وَبِآيَاتٍ وَعَجَائِبَ كَاذِبَةٍ،

even he whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, in every power and sign and lying wonder,

١٠ 10 وَبِكُلِّ خَدِيعَةِ ٱلْإِثْمِ، فِي ٱلْهَالِكِينَ، لِأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَقْبَلُوا مَحَبَّةَ ٱلْحَقِّ حَتَّى يَخْلُصُوا.

and with all deceit of unrighteousness for those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth for their salvation.

١١ 11 وَلِأَجْلِ هَذَا سَيُرْسِلُ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱللهُ عَمَلَ ٱلضَّلَالِ، حَتَّى يُصَدِّقُوا ٱلْكَذِبَ،

For this reason God is sending on them an energy of delusion, that they should put faith in a falsehood;

١٢ 12 لِكَيْ يُدَانَ جَمِيعُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُصَدِّقُوا ٱلْحَقَّ، بَلْ سُرُّوا بِٱلْإِثْمِ.

so that they all should be condemned, who are faithless to the truth, but take pleasure in evil.

١٣ 13 وَأَمَّا نَحْنُ فَيَنْبَغِي لَنَا أَنْ نَشْكُرَ ٱللهَ كُلَّ حِينٍ لِأَجْلِكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ ٱلْمَحْبُوبُونَ مِنَ ٱلرَّبِّ، أَنَّ ٱللهَ ٱخْتَارَكُمْ مِنَ ٱلْبَدْءِ لِلْخَلَاصِ، بِتَقْدِيسِ ٱلرُّوحِ وَتَصْدِيقِ ٱلْحَقِّ.

But for you, brothers, whom the Lord loves, I ought to give thanks to God continually, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation in consecration of the Spirit and belief of the truth.

١٤ 14 ٱلْأَمْرُ ٱلَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ إِلَيْهِ بِإِنْجِيلِنَا، لِٱقْتِنَاءِ مَجْدِ رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ ٱلْمَسِيحِ.

For this he called you through my gospel, so that you might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

١٥ 15 فَٱثْبُتُوا إِذًا أَيُّهَا ٱلْإِخْوَةُ وَتَمَسَّكُوا بِٱلتَّعَالِيمِ ٱلَّتِي تَعَلَّمْتُمُوهَا، سَوَاءٌ كَانَ بِٱلْكَلَامِ أَمْ بِرِسَالَتِنَا.

So, brothers, stand fast, and hold fast the teachings which you have been taught by me, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

١٦ 16 وَرَبُّنَا نَفْسُهُ يَسُوعُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ، وَٱللهُ أَبُونَا ٱلَّذِي أَحَبَّنَا وَأَعْطَانَا عَزَاءً أَبَدِيًّا وَرَجَاءً صَالِحًا بِٱلنِّعْمَةِ، (aiōnios g166)

And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal encouragement and a good hope in grace, (aiōnios g166)

١٧ 17 يُعَزِّي قُلُوبَكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ كَلَامٍ وَعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ.

comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.
