٢ كورنثوس 10

١ 1 ثُمَّ أَطْلُبُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِوَدَاعَةِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ وَحِلْمِهِ، أَنَا نَفْسِي بُولُسُ ٱلَّذِي فِي ٱلْحَضْرَةِ ذَلِيلٌ بَيْنَكُمْ، وَأَمَّا فِي ٱلْغَيْبَةِ فَمُتَجَاسِرٌ عَلَيْكُمْ.

Now I, Paul, beseech you, by the mildness and gentleness of the Messiah, although I am mild towards you when present, but bold towards you when absent!

٢ 2 وَلَكِنْ أَطْلُبُ أَنْ لَا أَتَجَاسَرَ وَأَنَا حَاضِرٌ بِٱلثِّقَةِ ٱلَّتِي بِهَا أَرَى أَنِّي سَأَجْتَرِئُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ يَحْسِبُونَنَا كَأَنَّنَا نَسْلُكُ حَسَبَ ٱلْجَسَدِ.

yet I beseech of you that, when I come, I may not be compelled by the boldness that is in me to be daring, as I estimate it, towards the persons who think we walk according to the flesh.

٣ 3 لِأَنَّنَا وَإِنْ كُنَّا نَسْلُكُ فِي ٱلْجَسَدِ، لَسْنَا حَسَبَ ٱلْجَسَدِ نُحَارِبُ.

For, although we walk in the flesh, our warfare is not after the flesh.

٤ 4 إِذْ أَسْلِحَةُ مُحَارَبَتِنَا لَيْسَتْ جَسَدِيَّةً، بَلْ قَادِرَةٌ بِٱللهِ عَلَى هَدْمِ حُصُونٍ.

For the arms of our warfare are not those of the flesh, but those of the power of God; by which we subdue rebellious castles.

٥ 5 هَادِمِينَ ظُنُونًا وَكُلَّ عُلُوٍّ يَرْتَفِعُ ضِدَّ مَعْرِفَةِ ٱللهِ، وَمُسْتَأْسِرِينَ كُلَّ فِكْرٍ إِلَى طَاعَةِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ،

And we demolish imaginations, and every lofty thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and subjugate all reasonings to obedience to the Messiah.

٦ 6 وَمُسْتَعِدِّينَ لِأَنْ نَنْتَقِمَ عَلَى كُلِّ عِصْيَانٍ، مَتَى كَمِلَتْ طَاعَتُكُمْ.

And we are prepared, when your obedience shall be complete, to execute judgment on all the disobeying.

٧ 7 أَتَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى مَا هُوَ حَسَبَ ٱلْحَضْرَةِ؟ إِنْ وَثِقَ أَحَدٌ بِنَفْسِهِ أَنَّهُ لِلْمَسِيحِ، فَلْيَحْسِبْ هَذَا أَيْضًا مِنْ نَفْسِهِ: أَنَّهُ كَمَا هُوَ لِلْمَسِيحِ، كَذَلِكَ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا لِلْمَسِيحِ!

Do ye look on outward appearances? If any one is confident in himself that he is of the Messiah, let him know, from himself, that as he is of the Messiah, so also are we.

٨ 8 فَإِنِّي وَإِنِ ٱفْتَخَرْتُ شَيْئًا أَكْثَرَ بِسُلْطَانِنَا ٱلَّذِي أَعْطَانَا إِيَّاهُ ٱلرَّبُّ، لِبُنْيَانِكُمْ لَا لِهَدْمِكُمْ، لَا أُخْجَلُ.

For if I should glory somewhat more, in the authority which our Lord hath given me, I should not be ashamed; for he gave it to us for your edification, and not for your destruction.

٩ 9 لِئَلَّا أَظْهَرَ كَأَنِّي أُخِيفُكُمْ بِٱلرَّسَائِلِ.

But I forbear, lest I should be thought to terrify you terribly, by my epistles.

١٠ 10 لِأَنَّهُ يَقُولُ: «ٱلرَّسَائِلُ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَقَوِيَّةٌ، وَأَمَّا حُضُورُ ٱلْجَسَدِ فَضَعِيفٌ، وَٱلْكَلَامُ حَقِيرٌ».

For there are some who say, His epistles are weighty and forcible, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

١١ 11 مِثْلُ هَذَا فَلْيَحْسِبْ هَذَا: أَنَّنَا كَمَا نَحْنُ فِي ٱلْكَلَامِ بِٱلرَّسَائِلِ وَنَحْنُ غَائِبُونَ، هَكَذَا نَكُونُ أَيْضًا بِٱلْفِعْلِ وَنَحْنُ حَاضِرُونَ.

But let him who saith so, consider this, that such as we are in our epistolary discourse, when absent, such also are we in action, when present.

١٢ 12 لِأَنَّنَا لَا نَجْتَرِئُ أَنْ نَعُدَّ أَنْفُسَنَا بَيْنَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْدَحُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ، وَلَا أَنْ نُقَابِلَ أَنْفُسَنَا بِهِمْ. بَلْ هُمْ إِذْ يَقِيسُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ، وَيُقَابِلُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ، لَا يَفْهَمُونَ.

For we dare not value, or compare ourselves, with those who vaunt: but they, because they compare themselves with themselves, are not wise.

١٣ 13 وَلَكِنْ نَحْنُ لَا نَفْتَخِرُ إِلَى مَا لَا يُقَاسُ، بَلْ حَسَبَ قِيَاسِ ٱلْقَانُونِ ٱلَّذِي قَسَمَهُ لَنَا ٱللهُ، قِيَاسًا لِلْبُلُوغِ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْضًا.

But we will not glory beyond our measure, but within the measure of the limits which God hath imparted to us, that we should reach as far as you.

١٤ 14 لِأَنَّنَا لَا نُمَدِّدُ أَنْفُسَنَا كَأَنَّنَا لَسْنَا نَبْلُغُ إِلَيْكُمْ. إِذْ قَدْ وَصَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْضًا فِي إِنْجِيلِ ٱلْمَسِيحِ.

For we do not stretch ourselves, as if not reaching to you; for we do reach as far as you in the annunciation of the Messiah.

١٥ 15 غَيْرَ مُفْتَخِرِينَ إِلَى مَا لَا يُقَاسُ فِي أَتْعَابِ آخَرِينَ، بَلْ رَاجِينَ -إِذَا نَمَا إِيمَانُكُمْ- أَنْ نَتَعَظَّمَ بَيْنَكُمْ حَسَبَ قَانُونِنَا بِزِيَادَةٍ،

And we do not glory beyond our measure, in the toil of others: but we have the hope, that when your faith shall mature, we shall be magnified by you, as being within our measure;

١٦ 16 لِنُبَشِّرَ إِلَى مَا وَرَاءَكُمْ. لَا لِنَفْتَخِرَ بِٱلْأُمُورِ ٱلْمُعَدَّةِ فِي قَانُونِ غَيْرِنَا.

and that we shall so abound also, as to make announcements beyond you. It is not in the measure of others, and in things ready prepared, that we will glory.

١٧ 17 وَأَمَّا: «مَنِ ٱفْتَخَرَ فَلْيَفْتَخِرْ بِٱلرَّبِّ».

But let him that will glory, glory in the Lord.

١٨ 18 لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مَنْ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ هُوَ ٱلْمُزَكَّى، بَلْ مَنْ يَمْدَحُهُ ٱلرَّبُّ.

For not he who praiseth himself, is approved; but he whom the Lord praiseth.
