١ أخبار 24

١ 1 وَهَذِهِ فِرَقُ بَنِي هَارُونَ: بَنُو هَارُونَ: نَادَابُ وَأَبِيهُو، أَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ.

Now, the sons of Aaron, had their courses, —the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar;

٢ 2 وَمَاتَ نَادَابُ وَأَبِيهُو قَبْلَ أَبِيهِمَا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمَا بَنُونَ، فَكَهَنَ أَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ.

but Nadab and Abihu, died, before their father, and sons, had they none, —but Eleazar and Ithamar became priests;

٣ 3 وَقَسَمَهُمْ دَاوُدُ وَصَادُوقُ مِنْ بَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ، وَأَخِيمَالِكَ مِنْ بَنِي إِيثَامَارَ، حَسَبَ وَكَالَتِهِمْ فِي خِدْمَتِهِمْ.

and David apportioned to them courses, both to Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and to Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, —by their appointed place in their service.

٤ 4 وَوُجِدَ لِبَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ رُؤُوسُ رِجَالٍ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ بَنِي إِيثَامَارَ، فَٱنْقَسَمُوا لِبَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ رُؤُوسًا لِبَيْتِ آبَائِهِمْ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ، وَلِبَنِي إِيثَامَارَ لِبَيْتِ آبَائِهِمْ ثَمَانِيَةٌ.

But the sons of Eleazar were found to be more numerous, by the chiefs of their able men, than were the sons of Ithamar, so they divided them, —the sons of Eleazar, had chiefs, of the ancestral house, sixteen, whereas, the sons of Ithamar, had of their ancestral house, eight.

٥ 5 وَٱنْقَسَمُوا بِٱلْقُرْعَةِ، هَؤُلَاءِ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ، لِأَنَّ رُؤَسَاءَ ٱلْقُدْسِ وَرُؤَسَاءَ بَيْتِ ٱللهِ كَانُوا مِنْ بَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ وَمِنْ بَنِي إِيثَامَارَ.

They divided them, therefore, by [casting] lots, these with those, —for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, from among the sons of Eleazar, and among the sons of Ithamar.

٦ 6 وَكَتَبَهُمْ شَمَعْيَا بْنُ نَثَنْئِيلَ ٱلْكَاتِبُ مِنَ ٱللَّاوِيِّينَ أَمَامَ ٱلْمَلِكِ وَٱلرُّؤَسَاءِ وَصَادُوقَ ٱلْكَاهِنِ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ بْنِ أَبِيَاثَارَ وَرُؤُوسِ ٱلْآبَاءِ لِلْكَهَنَةِ وَٱللَّاوِيِّينَ. فَأُخِذَ بَيْتُ أَبٍ وَاحِدٍ لِأَلِعَازَارَ، وَأُخِذَ وَاحِدٌ لِإِيثَامَارَ.

And Shemaiah son of Nethanel the scribe from among the Levites, wrote them down, before the king and the rulers and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, —one ancestral house, was taken for Eleazar, and, was equally taken, for Ithamar.

٧ 7 فَخَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلْأُولَى لِيَهُويَارِيبَ. ٱلثَّانِيَةُ لِيَدْعِيَا.

So then the first lot came forth for Jehoiarib, for Jedaiah, the second;

٨ 8 ٱلثَّالِثَةُ لِحَارِيمَ. ٱلرَّابِعَةُ لِسَعُورِيمَ.

for Harim, the third, for Seorim, the fourth;

٩ 9 ٱلْخَامِسَةُ لِمَلْكِيَّا. ٱلسَّادِسَةُ لِمَيَّامِينَ.

for Malchijah, the fifth, for Mijamin, the sixth;

١٠ 10 ٱلسَّابِعَةُ لِهُقُّوصَ. ٱلثَّامِنَةُ لِأَبِيَّا.

for Hakkoz, the seventh, for Abijah, the eighth;

١١ 11 ٱلتَّاسِعَةُ لِيَشُوعَ. ٱلْعَاشِرَةُ لِشَكُنْيَا.

for Jeshua, the ninth, for Shecaniah, the tenth;

١٢ 12 ٱلْحَادِيَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِأَلِيَاشِيبَ. ٱلثَّانِيَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِيَاقِيمَ.

for Eliashib, the eleventh, for Jakim, the twelfth;

١٣ 13 ٱلثَّالِثَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِحُفَّةَ. ٱلرَّابِعَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِيَشَبْآبَ.

for Huppah, the thirteenth, for Jeshebeab, the fourteenth;

١٤ 14 ٱلْخَامِسَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِبَلْجَةَ. ٱلسَّادِسَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِإِيمِيرَ.

for Bilgah, the fifteenth, for Immer, the sixteenth;

١٥ 15 ٱلسَّابِعَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِحِيزِيرَ. ٱلثَّامِنَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِهَفْصِيصَ.

for Hezir, the seventeenth, for Happizzez, the eighteenth;

١٦ 16 ٱلتَّاسِعَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِفَقَحْيَا. ٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِيَحَزْقِيئِيلَ.

for Pethahiah, the nineteenth, for Jehezkel, the twentieth;

١٧ 17 ٱلْحَادِيَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِيَاكِينَ. ٱلثَّانِيةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِجَامُولَ.

for Jachin, the twenty-first, for Gamul, the twenty-second;

١٨ 18 ٱلثَّالِثَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِدَلَايَا. ٱلرَّابِعَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِمَعَزْيَا.

for Delaiah, the twenty-third, for Maaziah, the twenty-fourth.

١٩ 19 فَهَذِهِ وَكَالَتُهُمْ وَخِدْمَتُهُمْ لِلدُّخُولِ إِلَى بَيْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ حَسَبَ حُكْمِهِمْ عَنْ يَدِ هَارُونَ أَبِيهِمْ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

These, were their appointed places for their service, for entering the house of Yahweh, according to the regulation of them, by the hand of Aaron their father, —just as Yahweh God of Israel, commanded him.

٢٠ 20 وَأَمَّا بَنُو لَاوِي ٱلْبَاقُونَ: فَمِنْ بَنِي عَمْرَامَ: شُوبَائِيلُ، وَمِنْ بَنِي شُوبَائِيلَ: يَحَدْيَا.

Now, as for the sons of Levi who remained, of the sons of Amram, Shubael, of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

٢١ 21 وَأَمَّا رَحَبْيَا، فَمِنْ بَنِي رَحَبْيَا: ٱلرَّأْسُ يَشِّيَّا.

Of Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the chief Isshiah;

٢٢ 22 وَمِنَ ٱلْيِصْهَارِيِّينَ: شَلُومُوثُ، وَمِنْ بَنِي شَلُومُوثَ: يَحَثُ.

of the Izharites, Shelomoth, —of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath;

٢٣ 23 وَمِنْ بَنِي حَبْرُونَ: يَرِيَّا وَأَمَرْيَا ٱلثَّانِي وَيَحْزِيئِيلُ ٱلثَّالِثُ وَيَقْمَعَامُ ٱلرَّابِعُ.

and, the sons [of Hebron], Jeriah, —Amariah, the second, Jehaziel, the third, Jekameam, the fourth;

٢٤ 24 مِنْ بَنِي عُزِّيئِيلَ: مِيخَا. مِنْ بَنِي مِيخَا: شَامُورُ.

the sons of Uzziel, Micah, of the sons of Micah, Shamir;

٢٥ 25 أَخُو مِيخَا: يِشِّيَّا، وَمِنْ بَنِي يِشِّيَّا: زَكَرِيَّا.

the brother of Micah, Isshiah, of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

٢٦ 26 اِبْنَا مَرَارِي: مَحْلِي وَمُوشِي. اِبْنُ يَعَزْيَا بَنُو.

The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi, —the sons of Jaaziah, Beno;

٢٧ 27 مِنْ بَنِي مَرَارِي لِيَعَزْيَا: بَنُو وَشُوهَمُ وَزَكُّورُ وَعِبْرِي.

the sons of Merari, of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham and Zaccur and Ibri:

٢٨ 28 مِنْ مَحْلِي: أَلِعَازَارُ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ بَنُونَ.

of Mahli, Eleazar, who had no sons;

٢٩ 29 وَأَمَّا قَيْسُ، فَٱبْنُ قَيْسَ يَرْحَمْئِيلُ.

of Kish—the sons of Kish, Jerameel;

٣٠ 30 وَبَنُو مُوشِي: مَحْلِي وَعَادِرُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ. هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو ٱللَّاوِيِّينَ حَسَبَ بُيُوتِ آبَائِهِمْ.

and, the sons of Mushi, Mahli and Eder and Jerimoth. These, were the sons of the Levites, belonging to their ancestral house.

٣١ 31 وَأَلْقَوْا هُمْ أَيْضًا قُرَعًا مُقَابِلَ إِخْوَتِهِمْ بَنِي هَارُونَ أَمَامَ دَاوُدَ ٱلْمَلِكِ وَصَادُوقَ وَأَخِيمَالِكَ وَرُؤُوسِ آبَاءِ ٱلْكَهَنَةِ وَٱللَّاوِيِّينَ. ٱلْآبَاءُ ٱلرُّؤُوسُ كَمَا إِخْوَتِهِمِ ٱلْأَصَاغِرِ.

Moreover, they also, cast lots along with their brethren the sons of Aaron, before David the king and Zadok and Ahimelech, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, the ancestral chief along with his younger brethren.
