< 1 Timothawus 5 >

1 Na uwa boro ukune iyizi ba, fwanghe acara naco ucif, mino uzaman nafo nuana fin.
Do not rebuke an older man, but appeal to him as you would to a father. Speak to younger men as brothers,
2 Zazina awani akukune nafo annah, nuan nishono nafo nuan nishono, nin kibinayi kilau vat.
older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, in all purity.
Honor widows who are truly widows.
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, they should first learn to show godliness toward their own household and to make some repayment to their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
5 Ame unan diru nles ulle na amẹ nkuno, na aceo kibinai me kiti Kutellẹ. Ashon liti nan nya nfo nacara kitik nin lirin.
Now a woman who is truly a widow and left all alone has put her hope in God and continues night and day in her supplications and prayers.
6 Ame ulle na aceo kibanai me nlanzu nmang ame nkú, a ayita nin lai.
But she who lives in self-indulgence is dead even while she lives.
7 Ta isu illẹ imone, bara iwa se imon nvurzu.
Give these commands as well, so that no one will be open to blame.
8 Nanere ulle na amin kilari mẹ nin li uana ba, anari uyinnu sa uyenu, akanti kulumai nin nanzang.
But if anyone does not provide for his own relatives, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 Na iwa nyertin lissa nmon uwani unan dirun les, na akus me darni akut kutocin ba, uwani nles urum.
A widow may be put on the list to receive support if she is at least sixty years old, has been the wife of one husband,
10 Na iyininghe nin katuwa kacind, assa ana min nono gegeme, ayita washalang, asa ana kuzuzu abunu namara, asa ana buzuno nikimon, asa ana suzu imon vat nin likara.
and has a reputation for good works, that is, if she has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to every good work.
But reject younger widows, for when their sensual desires draw them away from Christ, they wish to marry,
12 Nan nya nlo libauwe, idinin shara natimine bara na inari uyinnu sa uyenu mine un burne.
thus bringing judgment on themselves because they have broken their previous pledge.
13 Bara nani asa iso agballa. Nin dortu nilari nilari. Na asa iso agballa cas ba, asa iso anan kubellum. Ibelle ile imon na icaun ibellu ba.
At the same time, they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house. And they are not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they should not say.
14 Bara nani ndinin su awani abebene ale na ales mine na kuzu isu ilugma, imacu nono, imin nilari, na iwa ni shitan ku nfwang nnanzu katuwa bit ba.
So I advise the younger widows to marry, bear children, and manage their households, so as to give the adversary no opportunity to revile us.
15 Nene wang, among mine nlasina idofino shitan ku.
For some have already turned away to follow Satan.
If any believing man or woman has relatives who are widows, they must help them; the church should not be burdened, so that it may help those who are truly widows.
Elders who lead well should be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.
18 Uliru Kutellẹ nworo, ''Na uwa nazu finafe nin nimoli kubi katwa ba,'' tutung ''Unan katuwa uwesu tinonto me.''
For the Scripture says, “Yoʋ shall not muzzle an ox while it is threshing,” and, “The worker is worthy of his wages.”
19 Kpada anan su nalapi nbun nanit, ngisine nan lanza fiu.
Do not accept an accusation against an elder unless it is confirmed by two or three witnesses.
As for those who sin, reprove them in the presence of all, so that others will be afraid to follow their example.
I solemnly charge yoʋ before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the chosen angels to observe these things without partiality, doing nothing out of favoritism.
22 Na uwa tarda unit achara dsddei ba, bara uwa ti acara nan nya kulapin nmong, nafe litife so lau.
Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, and do not take part in the sins of others; keep yoʋrself pure.
23 Na uwa so nmyen cas ba, kpina kamyen kagbagbai bara ukonu liburi nin nyeneyi kidowo fe.
(No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of yoʋr stomach and yoʋr frequent illnesses.)
24 Alapi na mong anit di kanang, idin cinu nbun udu kitin shara, among dorto kidung.
The sins of some are obvious, going before them to judgment, but the sins of others trail along behind.
In the same way, good works are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden.
